Review: I purchased a mid 8048-4 tablet through walmart and purchased there warranty. My tablet was locking up and called walmart warranty and since the product was under the coby one year warranty they told me to contact them. I contacted coby with the number and talked to a technition. Over the phone we tried numerous ways to fix the issue without any resolve. The technition told me how to send it in with a money order for a free warranty replacement. I followed the instruction he emailed me to the T. This has been three months ago and still have not recieved my tablet back. I called them back after a month and the customer service person I talked to told me it hasnt shipped yet and to call back on monday. When I tried to call them back on monday the phone message tells me to go to the website and then hangs up on me. I have emailed the technition back and used the email provided on the website several times with out any response back. I have even tried to call the corporate office and can get ahold of nobody. I either want my tablet back or my money plus my $15.00 money order that I had to send in with my defective tablet. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I saent my tablet in over 3 months ago!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I either want my tablet back or a full refund with the money for the return mailing of my money order. I would also like to talk to someone about this issue since it has been about 3 months or longer since I sent my tablet in.

Review: I purchased a Coby 10.1 tablet and I registered the product for warranty and when I called to report my tablet defective the company gave me all the information to send the tablet to company for warranty replacement with $15 money order to ship my tablet back from the company to me. This was approximately 3 months ago when they told me it would take 6-8 weeks to return my warranty tablet replacement. I have emailed them and I have had no response. I have tried calling every number possible and all I get when I call is no longer in service or a recording that tells you to go to the web site which I got the numbers from. I'm frustrated because it was a gift to my child and cannot get my product back or talk to a person or something.Desired Settlement: I want this company to be repremanded to the fullest . I have read reviews about this same problem and there are so many of them so this should be a priority matter being so many people are not getting their product or money back.

Review: i've been trying to contact coby tech support for about a month now, via calling and emailing. calling doesn't do ANYTHING because it's a recording saying to visit their website, despite the website saying that I can call during the day. no matter when I call, it's just the same recording. so when I try emailing, i'm not getting any kind of response back, and I have been filling out my email address correctly. i've even tried sending directly from my email and still no response. My tablet has a rattling coming from it, and it was purchase on 7/**/2013 so i'm easily within the 1 year manufacturers warrenty, but I can't get in touch with coby to find out more information to what I need to do to get my tablet fixed.Desired Settlement: the speakers sound like they are in the bottom of a tin can, and there is a rattling coming from the tablet as well when moved. I want my tablet to be replaced so I may have a fully working tablet.

Review: I purchased a coby tablet in April of 2013 via [redacted]. The tablet was defective and on 5/**/2013 I was told I had to pay for shipping which I did to have it returned. I have been calling costumer service for the past two months and given several excuses as to why I have not received my new tablet. I was first told it takes 4-6weeks for a replacment. I was then told that the warehouse was being moved from GA, to CA and I had to wait an additional couple of weeks. My last call was on 7/**/2013 and was told by the costumer service rep that they have been the dark and had no communication from the corporate office since 7/*/2013. I was given the number to corp and I was informed by [redacted] ###-###-#### at that the company went bankrupt and there is no information that they can give as to a refund or a replacement device. I was very disturbed by the way this was handled and the lack of information.

I purchased this item through [redacted] and they were not aware of any issues with the company and I feel that given the nature of this issues someone should have known something. from[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the shipping cost since I will be completely out of tablet.

Review: I sent in a tablet for fixing 3-4 months ago. I have called numerous times and the number is now mysteriously out of service. I can't get a hold of them through their website either.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my tablet fixed tablet back asap. Or a refund for the price of the tablet and the 15 dollars paid to send it in.

Review: I sent a tablet to Coby Electronics to repair a cracked screen and was told to give them 6 to 8 weeks for the repair. I have not heard from them at all or received the tablet back. I have attempted to contact them but can no longer reach anyone by phone. I'm told to go to their website. I've gone to their website at least four times or more and have emailed them requesting an update of the status of my tablet but they have not responded. I found another telephone number on their website for the headquarters in New York and I've tried calling that number for 3 days now but it is either continuously busy or when I do get through it will ring for about 10-15 times and then I'm disconnected.Desired Settlement: I just want my tablet repaired and returned to me.

Review: hi,back in march [redacted] 2013 we emailed coby electronics technical support to see if they can fix a broken screen of our tablet,[redacted] responded yes with a money order of 45 dollars for 7" tablet,and send it to the address he provided.. since I think coby is a big company I told my husband lets do it so we can use the tablet again..so he sent the stuff and made a money order,after 2 weeks I called coz,no one told us if they received the product or not,and they said it will take 4 weeks to get it fix, so we waited, after 5th weeks I called they said that its on there warehouse getting ready to ship it back to us.. after two weeks I called again since I still haven't get the item,and no answer.Months later I still keep calling them but it goes straight to their voice mail,I never knew that I can file a complaint until today through Revdex.com.I really hope that you guys can help us with this...thank you...Desired Settlement: refund for the tablet,the money order we sent and the mailing cost. or a replacement for our tablet.

Review: This is the second time I have write about my daughter's tablet. I have sent my daughters tablet twice for repair and I am still having the same issue. I sent the tablet for repair on July * 2013. Coby tablet told me it would take about 8-10 weeks to repair. Two weeks after I sent it off I called to see if they received it and was told they couldn't tell me that information because it could be waiting to be put in the system. On August * I sent a email saying I was checking the status. I didn't get any reply back. I also called two numbers one I left a voice mail and the second number told me to go to the website. On Aug ** I sent a second email and tried to call the number but was unable to reach anyone. A third email was sent on Aug **. I called UPS Aug ** to track the package and was told the package was lost and they would need to trace the package. I called UPS Sept * and was told company moved and I sent it to the wrong address. But when I called before sending off the package this was the address I was told to send it to. Customer Service told me I would need to call the receiver and have them pick it up. I asked to speak to the manager and I gave him the address to Coby that was on their website [redacted]. He told me that it would be sent off the next day (Sept *). Now I have to wait for Coby USA to receive it and 8 to 10 weeks for them to repair it. I have had a issue with the tablet since I first purchased it. I have read online about this same issue that other customers have had. It is unfair to my daughter she has not been able to enjoy her gift. I need to buy two other tablets and it will not be a Coby.Desired Settlement: A refund for the amount of tablet,the cost to send it for repair and 15.00 money order that I was told to send with the tablet.

Review: I have a Tablet MID9740-8 that was sent in for repair on 6/[redacted]13 with the $15 money order. I have called for two months trying to get my tablet repair a send back. I got in contact with the New York and said they had layoff and the Savannan Plant had been [redacted] down. So I'm still waiting on my tablet.Desired Settlement: Replacement

Review: Bought the television back in February [redacted] of 2013.

Emailed Coby the same week of purchase with a complaint on the picture quality.

Never received a reply.

Headphone jack broke July of 2013.

Sent email July ** 2013.

No reply yet over 30 days later.

Called the number for customer service in early August, but the recording says to email customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement tv, with no backlight bleed out of the box.

If they cannot do that I want my money back.

Review: I purchased a 32 LCD Coby TV I Dec 2012. The TV broke mid Jan 13. I followed the directions from the company to get the tv repaired. The TV took about 4 months to get back, when it returned no paper was inclosed In Mid June the YV broke again. I have been trying to contact Coby for over a month via email's and phone numbers, the will not answer the phone or emails...please helpDesired Settlement: I originally wanted the TV replaced....I am incline to get my money back!

Review: My name is [redacted] and I have tried several times to contact COBY through phone and email and have received no response. I purchased a COBY tablet on black Friday of 2012 for my daughter for Christmas. After her using it for about 2 weeks after Christmas it stopped working, I tried to reset it, I tried to do everything customer support told me to do. After no success I called the number and they instructed me to send it back with specific instructions on how to do so.

I was to mail it back with my name, phone number, address, description, a copy of the receipt and a MO for $15.00 to pay for shipping upon receiving a new tablet from Coby. They stated it would take approximately 6 to 8 weeks, it has now been over 6 months and I have received nothing. I have tried calling only to get the recording telling me to use the website, I have emailed and have had no response. I cannot reach anyone and every number or email I have tried is either disconnected or not in service

Review: I can not receive any info on where my new tablet is. Every time I call ###-###-#### they have no idea when it will be sent out to me or if it has already been sent. The last 3 weeks I have been told it is shipping out that week and I should have it in a week. They don't have your personal info in their system and they just tell me they have 2 [redacted]'s in the system and don't know if one is mine or not. I sent the old tablet in with a money order ([redacted]) back on April [redacted]. Tracking # [redacted]. I was told it will only take 6 weeks to receive my new tablet. It has now been 3 months. I called the corp # ###-###-#### and you can't speak to anyone or even leave a message. Review: I bought a Coby 37" TV after owning it for three months the screen stated to flash and wouldn't display a picture. I called Coby customer service and was told to ship the TV back to [redacted], and the repair would take 6-8 weeks. That was 05/**.13. I have tried called and emailed customer service with no luck. I have the shipping receipt from ups if needed.Desired Settlement: My TV fixed or a new 37" TV

Review: On May **, 2013 I sent my Coby Kyros tablet computer to the Technical Support Department as requested by the Technical Support Manager. I also sent a money order for the return shipping as requested in the amount of $15 US. After a few weeks, I had not had any sort of follow up email regarding the repairs on my tablet. I sent repeated emails with no response. After the 3rd email with no response, I attempted to call and was made to wait on hold for almost an hour (calling from Canada...this is expensive!).

I decided that I was getting nowhere with the Tech Support so I attempted to call Customer Service. I again was made to wait on hold.

By this time it had been almost a month with no response from anyone. I sent an email to the company's Chief Operating Officer hoping that he may be able to help. He passed my email on to the Customer Service Manager ([redacted]) who quickly responded. Her statement was that a replacement tablet would be sent out to me once she had the ok from the warehouse. That was the last email I have recieved and that was on June **, 2013.

Coby Electronics has been in posession of my property now for 7 weeks and they have stopped responding to may emails.Desired Settlement: I want my property back in working condition or a replacement as promised.

Review: After noticing some screen issues with my Coby 46 inch LED 3D tv, I contacted the customer service line. I found that the process was very promising, the guy said he had not seen that as a problem before with the tv and he would ship out a replacement right away and that I could send the current tv back in the box that came with the new tv. I was excited, and I gave it 6-8 weeks figuring that shipping could take a while. When it didn't come, I called back. The next person I talked to said that there were shipping issues due to weather, he specifically mentioned the recent hurricane. He said he would take care of the issue, send out a new tv, and email me if there were any issues. I received no email, and I gave it a few weeks. Not receiving in another 4 weeks I called back again. The third person I talked with said that they had never seen a tv take so long to go out, he then said he would submit a request to upgrade it to a more expensive tv because this unit might not be in stock, and he would email me the new info in a day.

Well, the next day I received an email, but the email stated that they would send me a shipping label and have me ship back my tv, and then they'd ship me a tv back. Finding this completely unacceptable (after all, how am I supposed to trust a company to even send a replacement tv after waiting for them to send me a tv for 4 months!) I responded to the email stating all of the issues, stating the different people I talked to, what they told (lied) to me about, and asking that they forward my issues to a supervisor. I sent this to the three email addresses I could find for COBY. This was about a week ago. Since I have only received one email from them, and that is with a printable shipping label.

I would also like them to stop using the tactics they are using on the phone, obviously each of these customer service techs knew they were lying to me, and the false hope makes me feel like I was a joke to this company.

Review: I received the mini speaker as a gift about 2 months ago and it literally just stopped working on me! It has never been dropped or mishandled. I searched high and low for a customer service contact number for Coby and every number that I tried was a survey line or another company trying to sell you something. This company needs to be put out of business because of its POOR business practicing. There is ABSOLUTELY no way to get in contact with this company for any service issue!Desired Settlement: I would like to have it replaced for another better speaker that will last much longer or refund the cost for this speaker.

Review: We received a Coby tablet as a Christmas gift in December of 2012. Shortly after that the power cord stopped charging. Coby instructed me that this is under warranty, to send a $15 money order to them along with the tablet. I did so on 4/**/13. I called in June to speak with Customer service and they informed me of a tremendous back order they were dealing with and that it would be another 6 - 8 weeks. Today, 11/**/13 their phone number is no longer in service and I can't locate any methods to get my tablet replaced.Desired Settlement: I would like to see a new functioning tablet sent back to us so my daughter can start using it again.

Review: I returned a Coby Tablet computer, along with a money order for the required $15, for a warranty repair, about April **, 2013. I was told to expect to receive my repaired tablet or a replacement in 6-8 weeks. I called their technical support number at about 10 weeks, was told my tablet was being replaced and to call back in a few days for a shipping date and tracking number. Since then, I have called customer service, corporate headquarters, and emailed them. The phone calls are not answered, when they are I have left messages, but no response. I have not received any response from any of the emails either. I finally found a name and extension for this person at their corporate headquarters. I called twice last week and left a message both times to no avail. I plan to keep trying this number every couple of days.Desired Settlement: I purchased this tablet in good faith, I expect Coby Electronics to honor their commitment for warranty service to their customers. If they cannot provide that service, they should refund the purchase price. I believe they have defrauded their customers by selling a product with a warranty that they have no intention of honoring. They also require payment of $15.00 for the return shipping on the repaired product. This is thievery.
