Review: I returned my tablet with a broke screen and $55 money order on 4/**/13, I was told I was being sent a new because they could not fix it and it was updated to shipped that was the first of June.. since then I have not received the tablet and xan not reach anyone by phone.. I have sent 10 emails with no response..Desired Settlement: Either the new tablet or refund of $55 money order plus the refund for the tablet

Review: I purchased a mp4 player model #mp820 last April from [redacted] total cost-$40, including the 2 year extended warranty. June *, 2013 the radio feature quit working, and when headphones were fully inserted the sound was either distorted or non-existent. I used the mp4 player daily while working out at my local Zip fitness GYM. I purchased this one based on that it was touch screen, and looked cool, would like an I-POD touch screen. I Contacted walmart for warranty service and they stated since I was still under Coby's warranty, I needed to get it from them. That is what I did, I contacted their [redacted] and the male worker emailed me all the instructions on how to send it to them for warranty service. So I sent my mp4 player via post office and had to spend another 13.65, shipping costs + money order they request for all tech supports repairs which covers the return shipping to consumer. About 2-3 weeks later and middle of July I called the [redacted] again to get a status update of claim, they tell me it is to early for a status update or can't find my claim. I called again beginning of August and they now have a recording saying if you need tech support or service go to their website cobyusa.com to contact them. On the bottom of the webpage it has 2 links, one for email tech support, and one for consumer care. I have emailed both links several times twice from my email address, and twice from my mom's email address. I get no response back. I really want to know what is going on with my claim and what they are doing for my item. I decided to go through and read other complaints on this company on Revdex.com website, and I am not the first customer to have this problem with this company. it is terrible when you purchase a product from a company which always has 90 days manufacture's warranty and you call or email for service, they ask you to spend more money just to use the warranty given with the product. I think that is a terrible business practice to have. I wish someone could put a stop to that.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my replacement mp4 player in brand new condition, which is the way I purchased it. I also want a refund for the amount of the MP4 player-$40+ all the work at my local post office $13.65

On September *, 2013 from tired of waiting for a response decided to just purchase a new one. Purchased a [redacted] mp3 player and 3 year warranty on amazon. Paid $42 for both items. it is sad that companies can't respond back, an consumers just give up and buy new ones. I also had to do this when I accidently washed my 3rd mp3 player. Mom took my work clothes from washer and told me mp3 player was left in pants and wasn't sure if it was going to work. Contacted that company(E-Matic) they told me they could fix or replace it for a fee. I asked if I could upgrade to another model they said sure, get back to us with a model # and we will send you the upgrade price. I responded back with two different models I was considering and they never responded back. after waiting 3 months with no response purchased the coby mp3 player & warranty that is in this complaint.

I also wrote a letter to the warranty company and are trying to cancel my warranty and trying to recoup some of the $4 I spent for that since I no longer have the mp3 player and have no use for the warranty.

Review: I purchased 2 Coby Kyros 7" tablets that are still under the 1 year warranty. Both have stopped accepting a charge and will no longer work. I have made numerous attempts to contact Coby via email requesting assistance with no response. The phone number listed is a voice recording redirecting me back to the website. The website states that I must call Coby and speak to a representative prior to mailing my tablets. No one answers any of the numbers listed leaving me no options. I paid for a product that is still under warranty and Coby provides no means of communication to offer assistance.Desired Settlement: I want both tablets replaced as they are under warranty and I have my receipts.

Review: I purchased a Coby tablet on-line through the Wal Mart website on June **, 2013. It was damaged on June **, 2013. On July *, 2013 I contacted customer service (###-###-####) about what I needed to do to return the damaged tablet and obtain a replacement tablet. I was told to send a $25 money order along with the damaged tablet to [redacted]. I was told I would receive a new tablet within 6 weeks. It is now September *, 2013-10 weeks later and I still do not have my new tablet. I have again tried to contact customer service at the above phone number and all that is available is a recorded message that tells you to go to the Coby website for customer service. When I go to the website and send an email inquiring why I have not received my new tablet I receive no reply. I have tried contacting someone in the company at the phone number provided for the [redacted] location(###-###-####) but the phone just rings and rings-no one answers the phone. I need help resolving this situation. I am now out $49-the purchase price of the tablet plus $25 for the money order and I still do not have a tablet.Desired Settlement: I want the damaged tablet to be replaced with a new tablet ASAP. I want someone in customer service at Coby to contact me to let me know when it will be sent.

Review: I sent a 55in lcd television in for warranty work or replacement on tv about 5 months. I have been calling customer service every week since the second week and they told me that ware house was closed on every time I call. they did tell me that they have my tv. I think this is crazy for it to take this long for a replacement tv. I have tried to call customer service for the last two week with no response, or goes to voice mail. as of 8-*-13 243pm no phone call back or a email. I purchased this tv from badcock home furniture store and I am still making payments on a tv that I don't even have or had in the last 5 mouths. Review: I contacted CobyUSA regards a in warranty repair for a tablet I purchased in November, 2013. I was able to speak to a technical representative the first time I call. The technician emailed me instructions to send in my tablet for service, along with a $15 money order. I sent the package via UPS but with refused delivery by Coby. The tablet was returned to me without any repair done. I tried calling CobyUSA after I received my returned package but unable to reach anyone. The customer help line has changed to auto recording to tell customer to go to [redacted] for customer service technical support. I went to the website and got the email address for customer service and technical support. I sent several emails to the 2 email addresses over the past 2 weeks but did not get any response. CobyUSA is not honoring the warranty service for the its products.Desired Settlement: I would like CobyUSA to honor its product warranty to repair my tablet.

Review: I was given a Coby Tablet MID 8042 as a gift and it was damaged due to a fall. I call the company up and they offered to repair it by sending the product with a money order of $55. I send the product with the money order to their [redacted] location on June**, 2013 and have not received any updates. I've called them several times during June and July, and the only respond I got was that they received it, but they're waiting for their spreadsheet with updates. I continue to call them in August and September, and only a repetitive message answers directing people to their website. I've sent them an email regarding this matter in early September and still no response.Desired Settlement: I think the company should refund me the amount spent on the money order, $55, or an equivalent product to the one I sent. Preferably the amount spent on the money order for the repair.

Review: My tablet broke after a month I sent it to coby after talkin to a PERSON ( the only way to get the mailing address.) I did as he instructed sent the tablet to the address givin was told 8 weeks( wow) oh yeah send a $15 dollar money order for return shipping when it cost me less than $5 done but now when I call the number it tells me to go on line to their web site done now the web site says call the numbers done and so forth where is my tablet? Review: Tv quit working properly, I took it to a local tv repair shop, they contacted [redacted] to get parts. [redacted] said parts not available, but if I returned tv,sales receipt,copy of email and service charges from repair shop, they would replace it with a new one. So I did as requested. 1st it was shipped to savannah. post office could not deliver, it was closed. Review: I have 2 tablets that were returned to coby for exchange under the 1 year warranty. The tracking number says they received them on June 3rd and it takes about 6 weeks for a replacement to be shipped to me. I called on July ** and they acknowledge receiving them but couldnt tell me when they would be replaced. I have called and emailed coby multiple times during the last 2 weeks and have been unable to get a response from them. I have tried all alternate numbers I can find and they either give a busy signal or no one answers. Review: Our Coby Kyros tablet broke for the second time. I was instructed to send the tablet into Coby and they said they would complete the repair and or replacement and send it back to us. Per my tracking information coby received our tablet on April **, *-13. I have been calling for the last 2 months every week to find out why we have not received the tablet back to us. The first feww week I was told they had received it and that was all the information they had. they it changed to it was processing and I was told that Coby moved their operation to another state so there was a delay. I was givin a number for reference of my tablet and that number is [redacted]. And now when I try to call Coby it just goes to a voice recording that tell me to go to the website and there is no option to talk to a person. it plays the recording and then hangs up.Desired Settlement: I want our tablet repaired and or replace and sent back to me.

Review: I purchased 2 Coby Kyros 4" tablets from Toys R Us...both were defective at different times so I called the company and was told to return it with a $15 money order. I sent one back on March, 2013 and received it back about about the first week in June 2013. I then sent the other one back in June 2013 and now I have made several attempts to contact them and their website with phone numbers listed are all non-working numbers. There is a recording telling you to use their website [redacted] but there is no help there either.Desired Settlement: I would at least like my tablet back with the $15 money order that I sent them for replacement costs.

Review: I bought a tablet from coby. It broke and needed repair. The screen locked up, and the battery hookup broke off. I contacted coby, they said it was under warranty and just mail it in with a money order for 15.00 and give them 6 to 8 weeks to repair and return. I mailed it off 04/**/2013. I called 07/**/2013 and they said it was fixed and waiting to be shipped after the 4th due to inventory time. I called back 07/**/2013 when I still havent recveived my tablet yet. They d=said they dont know what the problem is and cant help me out in figuring out why its not shipped yet. They direted me to the corporate number and hung up on me. I called corporate from then to now and can't get a hold of anyone. Review: I purchased a Coby Kyros 10'1 inch Android Tablet w/built in camera and while still under warranty it locked up , I contacted customer service and per their instructione I sent the device along with a copy of the orginal receipt and a money order for $15.00 to cover return postage. I mailed it on April * 2013 and they received it on April ** 2013.I was told there would be a 4-6 week turn around for repair/replacement of the device. As you can see it has far exceeded that time frame! I have tried contacting them with no success.The phone #s provided are either non-working or I get an automated system directing me to leave a voicemail in a mailbox that is full .I have gone on the website and I am given an email address ,to which I have sent emails and I haven't gotten a response to any of them .I am very upset that they took my money and left me with nothing.....no money or no device plus my $15.00 for return of a product.I am tired of all this run around and no response from them!Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the purchase price of $165.00 plus the $15.00 I sent for return of the repaired /replaced device for a total of $180.00

Review: I purchased a tv from [redacted] under this listing [redacted] on March **, 2013 for $184.43. My username on [redacted] is '[redacted]', and the seller I purchased this form is 'tech.west'. My issue is not with the seller, or [redacted]. The seller listed a certain warranty period and after that period ended and in Mid-June, I started having issues with the TV. The TV would shut itself off and I wasn't able to turn it back on again until I unplugged the power cord and let the TV sit for about 24 hours. I emailed the seller and they told me of their warranty and I'd have to take it up with COBY. I emailed Coby's customer support on June [redacted] and again on June ** and both times I haven't received any response.

I still haven't heard anything back from COBY a month after my second email and I'm really frustrated with them. I am willing to fix this TV on my own as I do have a mechanical aptitude and am good with computers, circuit boards etc, but I'm not going to start messing with it until someone at COBY can help me with my issues. I don't have enough income to be able to go and get this 'new' TV fixed which is why I'm willing to repair it myself and void any future warranty issue I may have. This TV was to replace an aged TV I had in my house, and this New LCD TV is just sitting collecting dust and I'm back using my outdated TV. I have used many different types of COBY Electronics and never had any issues until now.Desired Settlement: I want someone at COBY to email me with any issues as to what could be the cause and help me out by sending me any circuit boards that could be an issue. If I correct this myself I'll accept the voided warranty, but only if they help me out with what I requested. I cannot take it to a repair shop due to funds, unless of course they pay for it so my only option as I see it is to repair it myself. Not getting any help has caused me stress and my time in writing such emails and now this action reporting it to the Revdex.com which I'll never get back and I want someone at COBY to step up to the plate. I work in a customer service environment and we go out of our way, to where it even costs our company money, to settle any customer issue we may have and not completely ignore it.

Review: Product was a Coby tablet ( Model #MID7036-4) mailed in for repair by my wife [redacted] at approx. end of March, beginning of April 2013. Began inquiring about the repair at the end of July, beginning of August 2013 with the customer service number provided. Two times on two separate occasions, customer rep said to call back the next week as they had no further info on the status of the repair at that time, though they did receive the device. On a third attempt to call customer service an automated voice said to refer to the web site. The web site (cobyusa.com) says to call the number (###-###-####) that had just told me to refer to the web site. I found another customer service number (###-###-####) and tried that and it is disconnected. I have since emailed twice to [redacted] approx. nine days ago and have received no response.Desired Settlement: Would like a refund of the entire purchase of the product since Coby Electronics has chosen to be unresponsive and has chosen to keep the tablet. The cost for purchase was $68.00. Check made payable to [redacted] or [redacted].

Review: My wife bought a COBY Kyros MID1042 for Christmas 2012. It worked for all of three months. Following the instructions listed on the company's web site, I packaged the unit, enclosed a $15.00 money order, and sent it off in June 2013. The USPS attempted delivery on Saturday, 6/**/13. The Delivery Confirmation showed that the company didn't pick it up until 6/**/13. To date, after at least three emails, I have heard absolutely nothing from them. I don't know if they have cashed the money order, or anything. Their 800 number refers me to their web site, and I have used it for contact, with no response. So far, this unit has cost me $215.00 and massive aggravation, and I have no intention of purchasing another one of their products.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the original purchase price, and the $15.00 money order plus fee. I would like to see them stripped of license to do business, but know that is asking a lot.

I've contact Groupon before about this product failing after 3 months which is well within the warranty period listed on the site. Groupon couldn't do anything about it so I reach Summit for warranty replacement which is listed warranty partner for Coby Electronics. Not only they took a long time (about 2 weeks through email) to respond, they also ask me to pay for Return shipping otherwise they won't replace it! And it has to be in Money Order which cost more money!

So I did it anyways, and when I finally got my replacement back after 2 weeks of drag (I am literally 25 miles away from their warehouse); they ship a product that is much lower grade and is much cheaper as a replacement. I wrote back again and they just vanished!!

I would definitely discourage anyone to buy Coby because they are selling low end electronic trash and this company won't honor their warranty properly! This is one of the worst experience I have and I will definitely file more complaints in places like other online resources Coby.
