Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It's not true that they don't know when I have finished completing a step, when we talked on the phone the first day the lady said, "I can see you completed the first steps..." if she can see that then there is no way they can't call. Also yes, at the beginning when we started the program they sent emails from Oct. 2-6 then not again until December. Since we sent in the complaint they've sent more emails but it wasn't until they got the complaint. Bottomline we are not satisfied and insist on receiving the refund. Like I stated before the three day warning for refund was NEVER mentioned and it wasn't typed in the contract, did the lady just happened to add it in after we signed because, again, it was never mentioned.
Regarding the license number it's the business licence number. They should know about it since they denied providing that information stating it was not public to customers.
Regards,

THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM. I first arrived of this so called, "College Assistance" back in 2013, when I was in sophomore year of my high school. I am a first generation and low income student during high school, and still am as of now in my college years at [redacted] They contact students via mail box with a letter (SPAM), convincing parents on how important higher education is and what they offer to their child. After, there is a workshop in where they present their info and benefits via power point and a well convincing speaker uses pathos and "logos" to convince the parents that they need this. YOU HAVE TO PAY $2000 up front, and if not then in payments. I really thought I needed this, because of course, I did not know anything much on entering into the college world. Once I saw that everything they offered was ALL FREE in high schools, I told my father to cancel the contract and they lied to us. They said we can cancel anytime, and you ONLY HAD 3 DAYS! which is ridiculous. I hope this never happens to any student. I currently am doing well at college, with a 3.5 cum GPA. I highly recommend students seek TRIO - [redacted] program which offers everything this load of crap does, plus more. ","neg-2

SCAM!!! We received a letter today stating "you and your student, interview will take place on either Saturday, 108/16 or Sunday, 10/9/16. These may be the only dates we have available...". I know this scam from back when I was in high school. I contacted the reservation number at 866-642-4752, and I asked what colleges they represented, and if in fact I had requested to participate or my child as the letter leads the reader to believe. I was told they do not represent ANY colleges, and that it was only an invitation (and that I didn't request participation). I told them their tactics are unethical and misleading. I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor, Donna, as she would not provide her last name, took awhile to find a number for their corporate office as I wanted to speak with someone about their marketing piece. What a joke...make parent's believe that for their fee that they will find magic money to pay for college tuition. I am surprised that these days with easy access to the internet that anyone would even entertain the idea of working with these types of companies.","neg-1
