I posted my room on this site for a trial for a few days and paid for these few daysSoon I found out I was charged on my credit card for another monthI never agreed or notified of any auto renewalI tried to contact their customer service They are very difficult and rude customer serviceOn their website and purchase order email, there is already an intimidating message warning about customer charge back that they will report to collection bureau and screw customer's credit score basicallyIt's very unpleasant and annoying to see this and you should already know it's a bad businessThey are doing this because it has happened to a lot of customersIt's a scam because they purposefully made the policy hidden so no customers can see I did not receive anything in my email order confirmation that I will be renewed without my consent
Even for the trail period, I received some emails, all those are useless and fake messagesIt's not targeted and is basically distributed t
Hi,
I enrolled for a three day trial period paid $and they did not say about automated enrollment of monthly subscriptionThey charged me $on February *** and sent me a mail on February 5th, which eventually moved to my spam folderI noticed from my bank that they have charged me.on February ***I right away requested them for cancellation and reimbursement (within days of billing), explaining the factBut they don't want to reimburse the money and repeatedly saying that they sent mail, even though the mails sometimes go to spam as they sent a lot of mailsMoreover, it should be mentioned specifically online that they will charge after trial period
I, like the others who used Roomster, didn't authorize a charge of $per monthI was charged $for two months even though I did not used Rooster during the time periodI had only agreed to the $charge for a 3-day trialThe Roomster help desk is not responding to me, and is not helping me
I contracted for days of service and paid $and then they billed me for $thereafter I understand that there are several similar complaints on the internet and that this is their business practice
I registered a day trial account with $at *** July At *** August 2016, I found out it automatically charge a $fee, which I have never heard ofI thought it is going to cut my service automatically rather than charge me unawareThe company took my money direct debiting my accountThey hide the direct debit in the terms and condition and on a side noteI ask the customer service about that and it emphasized I signed the proof of authorization and threaten me, if I dispute the issue with it, it will notify the credit bureausLater, I research the company on the internet and found out that it has a long history of scamming its customer with this methodThe company is a habitual offender at scamming customerI have no idea how to communicate with this habitual offender who has scamming its poor customer all over the years for refundTherefore, I try to reach out for Revdex.com for help and to disclose their unethical and dishonesty, which is the least I can do
Roomster required a membership to use the message boxWithout paying a membership, it states that you can send messages and view, etcBut there is no way to read messages from the tenant unless you payIf you pay, then you are subjected to a stipulation: if you don't cancel on time then you will be charged $How absurd!
I was hours late to cancel my subscription and when I contacted them, they had nothing to sayThere's also only email to contact so they refrain from being personable
This service is useful in connecting you with a large group of people looking for roommatesHowever, you must 'upgrade' your account to even read the messages you receive - which costs moneyWhen you try to cancel this membership, you can't because the link just loads forever and then times outMeaning that they will charge you even if you want to cancelThen when you contact 24/support, it's obvious they don't read your message or care at all because they simply say "use think link to cancel" which is the same link that does not workI will not be disputing the charge/and/or changing cards because I can't get my subscription to cancel and I can't get anyone to give me an actual answerThere is no phone number to callIt is fraud
They charged my account without authorizationIt says to end the trial but when I tried to log back in it wouldnt let meThere phone number tells you to go online and without being about to get online you cant resolve anythingIF you delete your posting you are not able to talk to their customer service
On July *** I signed up for a day subscription with RoomsterI was under the impression that once those days were up I would no longer be charged for their servicesI never received any email or message notifying me that my subcription had been renewed at the cost of or that my account had been chargedI contacted their customer service department today (July *** 2017) after realizing that I had been chargedThey informed me of their automatic renewal policy which is very vagueI requested a refund as I have not used their services beyond the daysThey denied me a refund stating that all sales are finalI informed them multiple times that I had not used any of their services beyond the days that I agreed to pay forI requested to speak to a supervisor or corporate complaint departmentThey would not disclose any of that information to meI also informed them of the refund policy that is outlined on their website which states that if you cancel your membershi
I recently posted a ad on ***, I get a bogus email from a "person" claiming they were interested and I opened her email and it had info about Roomster, so I started to looking to it and I thought it seemed legit I opened an account, posted my room available to rent and while dealing with the site, it was a terrible experience
The site was SO slow! It took me over an hour just to make a profile Then I started to get non stop emails Almost emails in hours Most of them saying the exact same thing They kept sending me messages telling me I had unread messages, so when I clinked on the link, I'm not kidding, it took over minutes for the site to open Then it popped up- day- $days-$days- $50!!!!! (I'm rounding the numbers) But $for days???? WHAT? Of course I couldn't open my messages, but that didn't stop the system from non stop emails I clicked unsubscribe and that of course took another minutes
Also, I tried this on other connections, computers and tried shutting my system down and nothing worked It was a terrible experience
I sent their customer support a message telling them how frustrated I am Telling them I'm frustrated with their slow system Their cost Their trick on messaging and the constant emails
I get a message shortly after I sent that saying they deleted my account because they didn't like my email In no way did I swear at them, use abusive language or threaten them I told them the truth and the frustration from a customers point of view
Please, ask them to POST my original email If they can't handle a customer who is having a terrible experience with their site, maybe this isn't the best line of work for them
I signed up for three days with Roomster September **, they charged my bank account for $for service I did not order
You sign up for free and set up a profile to find a roommateThen immediately start getting several emails that you have unread emails in your profile inboxTo open them you must pay a membership feeOnce paid, the emails turn out to be nearly all scam/fake interest where people don't have an actual apartment for share and often claim to not even be in the US which seems like it could lead to money fraud as well if anyone winds up actually wiring them money to secure a room share
I downloaded this app when I was in need of moving into a roomI couldn't contact others unless I paid a $fee to connect and communicate with othersI noticed I had messages waiting, so I decided to pay the small feeThere was no one I could trust communicating with in my area on the appI had a lot of messages sent to me that were deleted by the app because they know people are scamming others in multiple ways on their appI decided that it was OK since it was only about $to find out this app wasn't for meI was not notified of what was to comeThere was a nearly hidden customer service folder in the app where I was notified I had been chargedThe business did not alert me with a notification letting me know they sent me a message to a folder in the app that I could not find and did not find for another two monthsAfter the first week I saw I had been charged and immediately disputed it with my bankThe bank returned After my money was returned I figured the
So initially I purchased the five day trial from roomster that was and was never really told or shown that the trial would continue if I didn't cancel it after the initial one.Well this morning I checked my bank account and found that they had charged me an extra dollars that I was completely unaware of,because again I thought I was only being charged for a five day trial.I don't even recall agreeing to continue the membershipSo I contacted them and they were very rude and essentially told me the information was there which I don't recall even seeing until this morning when they sent me the information via email after the fact. And then I told them I was going to dispute them on PayPal and received a message saying they would report me to the Revdex.com and credit collection agency, and they also proceeded to delete my account after that.Apparently this has been happening to a lot of people who have used roomster in the past or even nowThe billing information is extremely convolu
Began a 5-day trial subscription on 12/*/
When I went into my account, the account stated that my trial goes until 12/**/18, after which point I would be charged more moneyNo problem with that, was all set and ready to cancel before 12/**
I was charged at 3pm on 12/**/
Sadly I did not take a screenshot of the account stating 12/** so I have no proof (the dates have since changed because of my new, unwanted, subscription)
Posted an ad on *** and then became inundated with sales attempts by this website despite requesting that I not be contacted by unsolicited marketers
Trying to rent my condo out, I visited this siteDecided not to use but since I gave them my email they spam you to death with useless room offers that would not apply to my needs if I were going to use their servicesI tried to go back and delete my account and they offer no way to do thisDO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!
Roomster charges it's consumers for renewal of the subscription without the consumer's actual consentThey charged me an unauthorized $payment to renew my subscription with them when I only purchased the day trialI was under the impression that after the days passed my trial would be up & I would be asked whether or not I wanted to further use Roomster's services
I tried to sign up for roomster because a lot of people are using it when listing their apartmentIt requires you to have *** , which I did not so I signed up for an account to be able to use roomsterIt deleted my account bc I didn't have enough friends No customer service contact
I registered with Roomster for $for a 3-day trialThey automatically renewed my subscription without my approval for $45.95! When I contacted them, they directed me to a screenshot of the original transaction, which did in small print say that they would auto-renew (obviously they are prepared for this interaction as many people have reported complaints)I had not noticed this section before
What is most frustrating and misleading to me is that all of the emails/messages I received related to Roomster never lead to a real person I received multiple emails within minutes of posting on ***, that all directed me to Roomster profiles that I was never able to view (even with an account) This happened on a few occasionsI'd click the link, it would ask me to log-in, and I couldn't see anyone's profile They appear to be creating fake profiles and have a program set to email messages including Roomster links to people who post on ***, to drive their business (as y
