The other day, we received a form letter in the mail from this company telling us about a slight change in their company that would not involve a change for usI had no idea who this company was, but it said it was a third party supplierI called *** and they said that this company had been supplying my energy for years!!! NOT ***!!!! Which is crazy because we never signed anything to switch away from *** told me that constellation is much more expensive then they are and in fact charged us about $more this month than *** would haveNeedless to say, I am livid!! After speaking with constellation, they told me that they had taken over MX energy two years ago, (who I had never signed up with either)I asked them where was the letter telling me that and they said they never sent oneI don't know if it's illegal, but it is certainly under-handed!! I have never in my years encountered such unprofessional & unorganized customer service representatives who could stand to benefit from more extensive training on how to speak to peopleFirst off just dealing with this company is a complete nightmareI received a letter on March 31st giving me the option to opt out & by explaining that I chose this third party electric supplierI called right away within the seven day window to opt out which I did on April 4th & to let the company know that their services was unwarrantedFrom my stand point everything was fine until I received my bill which puzzled me due to the fact that I complied with what the letter statedI met the seven day window needless to say I've spoken to numerous rude customer service representatives who weren't helpful at all.I have received several bills after canceling & being given a confirmation number for the second time.I was assured I wouldn't be billed again well I was charged double this monthOnce

Locked in a contract-ripped off & overcharged!
We were duped into this 'alleged' contractWe kept asking for proof of one and were told it was 'verbal'The owner was under the impression he was locking his rate in for years and Constellation stated he signed up for 4! Nothing was was ever clear with this company.They now want to charge over $to get out of this 'alleged contract' and refuse to lower their rate to what they are now offering to other customersIf we make the switch to another company (which we are going to do) the cost for cancellation will be absorbed because of the SIGNIFICANT difference in cost
When we did the math on the bill, we are actually paying EVEN MORE than what is on this 'alleged' contract!!

A young man came to my door telling me my utility bills were 'in default' I asked how this could be since I generally paid ahead month on these He immediately said, "Um, not your bill, but your rate is in default." However he repeated this 'default' statement several more times despite my correcting him after each one I asked if he was with *** - who was our region's joint community consumer provider of both gas & electric He said he was I asked him at least times if he was with *** and each time I got a 'yes' Then I pointed out to him his ID badge was with Constellation Energy and that to my knowledge it they were not part of our community's power provider He then said, "We're all the same only this company locks in your rate." Man came to my door at 5:pm claiming to be a service rep for ConstellationI do not use ConstellationHe tried to get me to let him into my apartment to see my billsI told him to leaveHe tried a few more times before he left after I repeatedly told him I do not get service from Constellation

Constellation/Integys has a collections company contacting me to pay for home electric service that I never signed up for
I received a bill in the mail from a company I was unfamiliar with last year, Constellation/IntegysThey say I switched my home electric service to them from my main supplier, ***, and say I own them $I called *** and they were unaware of any switch in serviceIt appears I was "slammed" like the phone companies used to do; their sales people signed me up for something I never agreed too, perhaps one of those door to door sales calls?
