Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situationPlease be advised that GE Factory Service was out on March 2, to repair Ms***’s GE refrigeratorGE has advised her that the unit is over eight years old and out of warrantyGE has confirmed with Ms***’s that the
unit has been repaired at this time and is working properlyIt is unfortunate when one of the GE technicians is out ill but unfortunately when this does happen then service appointments do have to be rescheduledGE will not be issuing any type of reimbursement for valid service charges

rightThey are just too big obviously to truly look into the complaint to see how ridiculous their request to move my water heater really was.
They are sending me an energy credit of $which honestly doesn't cover the additional electric cost while the unit wasn't operating properlyI ended up with a relocated water heater that causes my clothes dryer to now stick out in the room and I have to reach over it to get to the cloths washerThis is due to poor communication and training between GE and ***s installers and not providing the correct information to the consumer regarding the installation needs on the water heater when purchased as well as not installing correctly to begin with, according to GE.
Short of the pick up return credit I asked for, a good compromise from GE would have been agreeing to service the unit as installed GE was extremely inflexible in coming up with an installation solution to match the available space for the water heater and insisted it be re-installed 3" from the wall when there was clearly an degree access from all other sidesEven after the unit was moved, the GE technician still complained about the available access even though there is and was more access to the unit than shown in the companies installation video on their website.
Not buying this brand again anytime soon.

Instead of the Good Will Certificate, I agreed to honor a cash refund in the amount of $65. She should

It seems they fixed the electrical problem, but they broke other components in the processI have already ordered replacement parts as it will be much faster if I install them myselfI'm still not satisfied with their "service" but it appears that is the best they can do so that is where we will have to leave itI will not be accepting their response though because they cause as many problems as they solve and leave me with more expenses.

Our response remains unchanged and we have closed this case. This consumer’s refrigerator is operating properly We have explained multiple times the proper way the measure the temperature in the unit be the consumer is not accepting this and continues to measure the temperature improperly

Although the unit is now years old, we have agreed to give her the option of waiving a home call fee and parts for a repair OR a prorated replacement (product service exchange)
She has agreed to the discounted repair. I will send out the part needed for the repair and follow up with her after the repair has been completed

Although I scheduled an appointment, I do not consider this issue resolved. I don't know what the technician will do differently this time than the last few times he has come and this issue remains unresolved until my dishwasher is working properly. I think this is ridiculous that I have to go through so much for this one appliance!
