They did finally respond over a week later and that was only after I posted on their Facebook page, wrote the Attorney General's office, the Revdex.com and posted on other Social Media. A Social Media Specialist from GE finally took action and got things resolved. Also GE doesn't let you know there is insurance for your food that has perished. I found out quite by accident in talking to customer service. Our case manager never did call. the number of hours that it took to resolve this was extensive and exhausting.
Thank-you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. GE is in the process of replacing the unit in question. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Full details were provided in email forwarded to the Revdex.com on November 15, 2015. Text of that email are provided below. Email attachments are enclosed herein.[redacted]On Friday November 13, I called
and left a message for you. That message
was in regard to my conversation with [redacted] at GE who stated that
the GE Maintenance Group is now saying that the wiring in my oven may be
brittle and therefore, repair is not possible. This is the first time I had
heard this “brittle wiring” excuse. It
is without basis as demonstrated by the three attached e-mail communication
between me and GE. My position with
regard to each email is presented below:Attachment 1 includes:GE’s email which states that their senior technician would be at my home the following day, July 22, 2015.My reply which states that the senior technician was at my house on July 21st and after consulting with another senior retired technician, he would order parts and have them sent directly to my home. The senior technician and I agreed on Thursday July 30th between 8:00 and noon appointment to complete repairs. As
can be easily seen by the emails, at no time was there any mention of brittle
wires. In Attachment 2, GE states that they will follow up on repair status on July 31st.Again at no time did GE mention brittle wiring.Attachment 3 provides the GE email, which states in-part that GE technicians are not willing to do any further part installation. Please note that Attachment 3 also provides my response, which states that GE’s technicians may have left my oven in a hazardous condition and it is unclear whether this group has the ability to repair it.Again at no time did GE mention brittle wires.Attachment 4 provides the GE email, which states that there could have been an underlying issue that made it unsuitable for repair. My response clearly states that none of the four GE technicians mentioned an underlying issue. Again at no time did GE mention brittle wires. These four attachments clearly
indicate that the brittle wires issue
never was mentioned by GE before and strongly implies that it is without
merit. I have many more emails between myself
and GE and would be happy to send them all to you if needed.0Best regards,[redacted]"

The refridgerator is still making the ticking noise along with a deep him to the fridge side which sounds like the condenser is going out. Too many problems for a brand new unit less than 1 year old.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. I spoke with [redacted] today 4/12/17 and offered to replace her washer top at no charge and waive the home call fee of $99.95 if they would take care of the labor. She will have her husband attempt to install the top,...
but if there are issues she will call me to schedule a GE technician to come out. Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. Please be advised that GE Factory Service was out on March 2, 2015 to repair Ms. [redacted]’s GE refrigerator. GE has advised her that the unit is over eight years old and out of warranty. GE has confirmed with Ms. [redacted]’s that the...
unit has been repaired at this time and is working properly. It is unfortunate when one of the GE technicians is out ill but unfortunately when this does happen then service appointments do have to be rescheduled. GE will not be issuing any type of reimbursement for valid service charges.
Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.%

GE agreed to fix the unit out of warranty nearly one year ago, and at that time someone in the Geospring unit acknowledged to me verbally that it was due to a known defective part of the heat pump unit leaking refrigerant. The symptoms at this time are identical to the symptoms at that time. Most recently, GE refuses to repair the unit since the repair apparently lasted nearly one year. Assuming that this is the same problem, and there is reason to believe that it is as refrigerant leaks can be very slow, and likely has been gradually lowering the refrigerant level until the unit detected an error with the built in error detection. In my opinion, this is a continuation of the one problem. The first repair did not resolve the problem. Anyone who has had any experience with a refrigerant leak on their car knows that adding a can of refrigerant will appear to fix the problem, temporarily, until enough refrigerant leaks again. Was the problem ever resolved, really? Not until the leak is addressed does the problem resolve. What is a reasonable expectation of a repair to last on a refrigerant system. I would hope many more years than one.I would be satisfied with a response from the Geospring engineering team if they can determine and put in writing, in good conscience, that the problem I have described (recurrent filter light) is not likely due to a refrigerant leak that has been occurring since the last repair (knowing that the filter is clean). Also, if the engineering team says that a reasonable expectation for leak repair is less than 1 year, I will accept that.

[redacted]In reference to Complaint ID #[redacted] about GE Cook Stove Serial #ZF252191; Model #[redacted]Received email from Revdex.com on 12/10/16 indicating complaint had been resolved due to me not contacting you back. (not resolved, and I DID try to contact Revdex.com on 2 occasions)Called Revdex.com around December 22, 2016. I decided to wait until after the Holidays.During the Holidays, GE called me to inform me that under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I receive a new stove. The last technician that looked at the stove, said it was wired incorrectly and sent a report to the company that does the wiring and a copy to GE. I assume that was what prompted GE to call me.I am 83 years of age. I do not necessarily recognize prompts sent to my email directing me to go to a different site to look at messages. If this caused me to miss responding to Revdex.com, please forgive me.We find it difficult to understand that a company such as GE would be comfortable with lifelong consumers of GE products simply being told that "yes, we sold you a defective stove, but you're stuck with it...tough luck."We would like to remind GE of that old adage about consumers...a happy customer tells about 2 people, while an unhappy customer tells about 10+ people. We could not be more unhappy with GE and the piece of junk stove that will be the last dime we spend on anything from GE.Where do I go from here?Thank you,[redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to review this consumer’s situation. Please be advised that GE has spoken with Mr. [redacted] regarding the issue with his GE washer. GE has advised him that the unit is over a year old and out of warranty. A GE Factory Service technician has been out to diagnosis the...
washer and it has been determined that the issue was of no fault of the washer itself but instead was due to the location of the washer within Mr. [redacted]’ home. As a gesture of goodwill GE has offered him a discount into a comparable model in which Mr. [redacted] has accepted and the replacement washer has been processed.
Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.%

I spoke with Ms. [redacted] on March 23, 20** to follow up after the GE service repair. She has advised GE that she wants to try the oven for a week to see if the issue is corrected completely or not. GE has discussed further options with her if the wall oven is still not working properly. As of today we have not heard back from Ms. [redacted].
Please feel free to contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.
