Thank you for contacting Weight Watchers Corporate Affairs. We received the member's request for a refund. We've made several attempts to contact member to apply a six month refund for $119.70. The member's credit/debit card on file has a 9/2015 expiration date. This prohibits the refund going through. Since the member has not returned our calls, we'll issue a manual refund check which takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks for the member to receive.Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. I left [redacted] another voicemail asking her to please contact our Corporate Affairs office. We would like a chance to explain the billing on her account so she understands there was no fraudulent billing. One credit of $44.95 was issued on 2/**/17 (the day she called to cancel) and that should show on her credit card 3 to 5 business days after that. Today I  issued another credit of $44.95 and she will see it on her credit card in 3 to 5 business days at the most. Nikki C./CA

I visited over the phone yesterday with [redacted] as it is she who filed this complaint on [redacted]'s behalf and gave only her contact information. After asking several questions I was able to understand fully what happened with [redacted]'s membership. I apologized that the Customer Service...

representatives they spoke with were not able to recognize what happened. I also explained I believe [redacted] misunderstood the cancellation email he received. This was a case of much confusion and Customer Service not only did not help, I believe they made it worse. I apologized for all of this, offered to fix it and reactivate [redacted]'s account at no charge and offered to refund the original charge. [redacted] said they already got the funds back from their credit card and [redacted] wants nothing more to do with Weight Watchers. This complaint is not a small matter. I was signed up for an additional account that I did not approve of and was overcharged $1348 over the course of 1.5 years. I have been a faithful, active member of weight watchers for close to 7 years. I have had a lot of success on the program and am continually called upon by my leader to tell my success story. Now, having to cancel my account because I am pregnant, I am severely disappointed with the guest experience I am receiving. I was already disappointed to learn that I cannot continue to use the tools to stay healthy through my pregnancy, but now I am not receiving resolution to a blatant overcharge on my account. Not only is Weight Watchers walking away with $800+ dollars for a duplicate account, but I have been treated poorly, ignored by customer service agents and shamed that I did not notice the overcharge. When I called to cancel my account the first time, no one bothered to tell me that there is a second account active under my name. Well, I have discovered the overcharge now and am seeking resolution.  This issue is black and white, I was overcharged and should be refunded. There is no documentation to support that I requested a second account, because I didn't. That isn't logical, I am only 1 person and only need 1 active account. I plan on pursuing this further with higher management, I don't accept this as a final resolution.
