would like notifications on transaction purchases, you must connect your bank and/or credit card accounts to our "My Spending" featureAgain, our Credit Monitoring feature alerts you when there has been any changes made to your credit reportIt does not alert you for transactions.

The credit scores you receive on Credit Karma come straight from TransUnion and Equifax, two of the three major national credit bureausIt's not uncommon for scores to varyEach consumer has dozens of different credit scores,
though most people believe that each person just has one
Credit scores can vary for lots of reasonsFirst, each of the three credit bureaus can have slightly different credit report information for youSecondly, the credit score model has a slightly different formula that takes into account over different factors of your credit report; like a thumbprint, no credit score model is exactly the sameThird, credit scores can change anytime so you have to make sure you are comparing credit scores from the same day
Comparing several credit scores will always be different, since all the models are inherently differentTracking one credit score over time, shows you the ups and downs in your score that could signal a significant change in your credit health
You can also read more about credit score differences here:https://www.creditkarma.com/article/differentscores
Hope this helps! If you have more questions, please feel free to let me know

Your credit score can change at any time, or stay the same for quite some timeThere are many factors that impact your score, so specific credit activity may not always result in the kind of change you expect
Our website has
a blog post explaining credit score changes in more depth: http://blog.creditkarma.com/credit-101/credit-scores/credit-101-credit-score-cha... /> The advertisements and offers you see on our site enable us to make this service free for you
Our free credit scores are provided by partners who share in our vision that consumers should have free access to their score

Mrs***,
Thank you for contacting me in regards to my complaint with Credit Karma
The answer is yes my issue has been resolved
Here is their response:

I'm sorry - While Credit Karma may have previously shown other scoring models, we currently only show you your VantageScore score, provided individually by TransUnion and Equifax.
Each scoring model has a slightly different formula for analyzing the many different factors of your
credit report and each person has many different credit scores.VantageScore incorporates a broader set of credit-related data and can score up to million more people than other models With so many different scoring models out there, you never know which score a bank will use, but VantageScore is a strong predictor for what the banks may see. Please let me know if you have any further questions

It looks like you opted to allow Credit Karma to check participating lenders for pre-approved personal loan offers for you here on Credit Karma: ***If you would like to opt out, please simply navigate to that page, and type STOP into the field to stop
future pre-approvals.It sounds like you received this message because you did not meet the lender's pre-approval requirements. You never actually applied for this loan and no hard inquiry was made on your credit reportThe only information passed on to this lender was gained via a soft inquiry, which will not appear on your credit report and won't affect your score at all. Please let me know if you have any further questions about this matter. *** *.Member Support Manager

I am rejecting this response because:Why did it take them over days to respond? I had to send multiple emails and the only way I ever got a resolution was to email their legal department And I found that address through the Revdex.com site. This business should be required to provide a valid phone number for Customer Service Check out the complaints on your Revdex.com site, they all say the same thing We're powerless to contact them when something goes wrong Eit her provide a phone number or shut them down! number to contact them!

my response to them
I want to know what criteria deemed me "very good" at obtaining the Discover It credit cardI would also like to know if Discover Card pays Credit Karma a fee for you to advertise their credit cards on your websiteI understand that what has happened to me has happened to many other of your MembersWhy would you even suggest to anyone that they have very good chances at obtaining a credit card when you obviously are not even close to being accurateYour recommendations cause your Members credit scores to suffer because off your false/lying/misleading informationI find this to be completely unethicalAgain, I am requesting you to get in touch with Discover Card and have the inquiry removed from my credit report immediatelyBelow is a screen shot showing you that Credit Karma listed Discover It as my "Top Recommendation" and in green my approval odds are "very good"A lieI want to be put in touch directly with the CEO of Credit Karma
Credit Karma's response to my above reply
***, Sep 25, 3:PM:
We strive for accuracy in our recommendations; however, we are limited by the data available to us
In order to display recommendations that include information on your potential savings, we make certain assumptions based on your credit report and the offer data that is available to usIn some circumstances, these assumptions may not accurately reflect your outstanding loans or the particular terms or conditions of the lender's offer in your specific case
To provide an offer to extend financing, lenders generally require additional information from our membersOnce they have gathered that information, the lender will be able to better provide you more detailed information about the loan terms and fees
We're always improving recommendations for our members, but it's always important to review the loan terms from the lenders themselves to ensure that the offer extended to you by the lender is in line with the goals you are trying to achieve

my reply to Credit Karma
If you have "limited data" than how can you possible say my chances (or anyone's chances) are very good at obtaining a credit card (especially with limited data)It seems that your incorrect on many of your "assumptions" and as a result you are hurting (if not destroying) people's credit scores with your false/misleading advertisingIf your "assumptions may not accurately reflect my outstanding loans or the particular terms or conditions of the lenders offer" than again I ask, how can you possible say my odds are very good of obtaining the offer? If lenders generally require additional information to extend financing than again, how can you possibly say my chances (or anyone's) chances are very good at obtaining credit? Based on what you just told me, I don't believe Credit Karma has any right whatsoever to tell anyone their odds of getting a particular credit card are "very good"How can they possibly be very good when you just told me your using limited data! I look forward to your responseI have also previously asked for the name and email address of Credit Karma's CEO/Vice President
Credit Karma's response
***, Sep 29, 4:PM:
I understand that it can be frustrating to be declined, but keep in mind that this decision is ultimately with the lenderThe approval odds can help narrow down what kinds of cards you may be approved for but it is not a guaranteeThe historical odds can let us know that often people with similar credit profiles will get approved for a card like this, but lenders may look at information that is not available on the credit report information we receive

My response to Credit Karma
It's not frustrating to be declined as much as it is to be lied to by a companySaying someone has very good chances based on "limited data" is inappropriate and misleadingYou still have not answered my questionsI have been in touch with Discover Cards Corporate OfficeThey were equally surprised that you were telling customers their chances were "very good" based on limited dataI was told Discover Card is reviewing their relationship with Credit Karma along with their marketing departmentI told them Credit Karma is very deceptive and uses "trickery" with hopes and attempts at "luring" people to apply for credit cards that they don't have a chance at obtainingRegardless, You still have not answered my questions, so here they are again:
If you have "limited data" than how can you possible say my chances (or anyone's chances) are very good at obtaining a credit card (especially with limited data)It seems that your incorrect on many of your "assumptions" and as a result you are hurting (if not destroying) people's credit scores with your false/misleading advertisingIf your "assumptions may not accurately reflect my outstanding loans or the particular terms or conditions of the lenders offer" than again I ask, how can you possible say my odds are very good of obtaining the offer? My above response was the last comment sent to Credit Karma and they have not responded as of this writingIf you carefully review my questions to them they constantly evade giving a answerI also have Discover Card looking into this issue as Discover Card told me they were surprised Credit Karma is telling people they have VERY GOOD chances at obtaining credit cards (especially based on limited data)
Thank you,

Credit Karma has told me they have "limited data"Credit Karma should not be making any recommendations to anyone with "limited data"Credit Karma lies and misleads consumers into believing they have a good chance at obtaining creditThey limited data and hopes mislead consumers into applying for credit and then being denied and having their credit scores get loweredCredit Karma falsely advertises by lying to consumers that they have "very good" odds at obtaining creditThe reality is Credit Karma has no clue if a consumer has "very good" odds and should not be suggesting this to consumersCredit Karma receives funding from Discover Card to advertise on their website and as a result Credit Karma suggests people should apply for Discover Card and the only reason Credit Karma is doing that is for their own financial gainCredit Karma has no basis for suggesting people have "very good" odds on obtaining creditCredit Karma lies and misleads and the only help they offer is by helping LOWER consumers credit scores

Credit karma did respond within the 2-days as noted however it would have been much easier to callFor example my mother doesn't have a computer and no emailThis generation is only going to become victims of identity theftThe phone is the only way many still communicateIf the company is customer service oriented they will look at the age of the public that would be the 65plus age group! A 800# should be a requirement for conducting even and internet business
