Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/11/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I will try one more time to have them remove my email address from their data base. I feel more confident knowing that this has been resolved through Revdex.com and that I now have an email for the legitimate business. I didn't want to become a victim to a scam.

We respond to all communications in the order they are received. I'm sorry for the delay in our response.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I reported that I had checked my credit scores on Credit Karman and relayed this information to my Mortgage Broker, who stated let's verify with him running my credit through the system he uses for merged credit scores. This was done within several minutes of each other, so stating that I should be sure that I am "comparing credit scores from the same day" is irrelevant. They did not read my initial complaint.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/10/26) */

My response also included the information that there are many different scoring models, even within the same credit bureau. Each bureau can use many different scoring models based on the requirements of the lender. A mortgage lender, for example, may put a heavier weight on specific items in your report than a lender that is offering you a credit card or auto loan.
No credit score model is exactly the same. The purpose of tracking your score on Credit Karma is to know and understand the factors that impact your score over time. If you intend to apply for credit, it is always important to ensure that the data on your report is up-to-date and accurate so the score that is pulled when you formally apply is based on the most accurate information possible.
Thanks for your patience,

The credit scores you receive on Credit Karma come straight from TransUnion and Equifax, two of the three major national credit bureaus. It's not uncommon for scores to vary. Each consumer has dozens of different credit scores,...

though most people believe that each person just has one.
Credit scores can vary for lots of reasons. First, each of the three credit bureaus can have slightly different credit report information for you. Secondly, the credit score model has a slightly different formula that takes into account over 200 different factors of your credit report; like a thumbprint, no credit score model is exactly the same. Third, credit scores can change anytime so you have to make sure you are comparing credit scores from the same day.
Comparing several credit scores will always be different, since all the models are inherently different. Tracking one credit score over time, shows you the ups and downs in your score that could signal a significant change in your credit health.
You can also read more about credit score differences here: https://www.creditkarma.com/article/differentscores
Hope this helps! If you have more questions, please feel free to let me know.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
This is not a case of two different type credit scores from two different places. I acquired my Transunion and Equifax credit scores FROM Transunion and Equifax the same place that you got them from and I made sure to get them on the exact same date and time that I checked my Transunion and Equifax credit scores and you are showing both credit scores to be 60 to 65 points higher than they actually are. You Credit Karma and I [redacted] are getting the exact same Transunion and Equifax credit scores from Transunion and Equifax on the exact date and time. These are NO special scores, these are the same regular Transunion and Equifax scores same date same time.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint[redacted]I am rejecting this response because:you are missing my point. My return hasn't even REACHED the state yet. They don't have it because you haven't sent it. I've called the state and they said nothing is in their system. It needs to be sent to the state. Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:   You will never have my consent in a generalized format to submit my application to credit companies.  I do not have any questions about what your company does now with approval of the consumer and I have deactivated my account with you.  I am sure there are several other of your consumers that do not know what your definition of pre approval stands for and very few people search for what you say you have the right to do with personal information before they go to the portion of your website that you say is just to see what you are pre approved for.  I find it amazing that you even sent me emails to urge me to see what loans I was pre approved for and not tell me that you were going to send applications off for me.  I can get my credit scores through my credit cards,  I don't need youSincerely,[redacted]

Credit Karma is not a credit bureau, therefore we are unable to make changes to your credit report. You have previously stated that an account should have been removed from your report - Creditors normally send updates to the...

credit bureaus once a month, so the item in question may not have been removed immediately.
Credit scores typically do not change daily. Even if there is a significant chance, such as a collection being removed from your report, your score may not change. Please allow some time for the update to process.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:While the 'solution' the Creditkarma.com customer service rep came up with does 'work', I was already aware of how to *correct* the error. The problem is that the software doesn't allow for this not to occur in the first place.  I searched all over their website and still cannot find the page on which I would have originally entered the information.  It was only with the direct link that was sent that I was able to fix the information entered into my tax return.  However, the original problem still exists:  I have to file an amendment (both federal and state), which is not only a big time-waster but will cost additional money.  I would ask if Creditkarma.com is able to file this amendment on my behalf, as having followed all of their 'steps' in entering the tax information, the end calculation was wrong. It will cost my (an approximate amount of) $80 to take this to a tax professional in my area and have them sort it out. Again, my idea of a solution, which I stated in my original email, is that either: A) Creditkarma.com file the amendment for me, or B) I be reimbursed the cost of having to have a tax professional file it for me.  (As an aside note: I should specify that it is my suggestion that their software be updated so  this doesn't happen to others with HSA accounts.  I have entered the same information from my taxes at HR Block and Turbo Taxes' websites to compare, and neither of those sites automatically counts HSA as income!)
Sincerely,

Ms.[redacted]
Like I told you and Credit Karma I did contact Trans Union on Sept 3, 2015 I called at XXX-XXX-XXXX I spoke to 2 different people first [redacted] file # XXXXXXXX they all say the same thing. That I needed to contact Sync Bank and have them write a letter saying its not me.
I contacted Sync Bank XXX-XXX-XXXX I sooke to [redacted] she gave me this 2nd number is for investigation Credit Services when there is an issue like I am having thats the number I was given XXX-XXX-XXXX and I spoke to a few people there [redacted], they took my name SS#and all my information and they say there was never an inquiry fone on my name or SS # on Aug. 29,2015.
I am told they can not send a letter on my behave because according to there records there was NO Credit check done one me and there is No corresponding reference number that has to go along with any Credit check to inform the Credit Bureau's to take this off my Credit Report. Sync Bank says that the Credit Card to which is showing up as a Hard inquiry doesn't even relate to there bank they do not offer National Credit Cards/Airlines. Everyone I spoke to at Sync Bank says they are 100% certain they did not do any inquiry on me or my SS # . So they can not write a letter or contact the Credit bureau to get this inquiry off my credit report because they have NO record of this anywhere in there systems and without anything to back up this being done their hands are tied they can't take it off without any reference number to the inquiry being done and no record in there ststems.
Thats when I was asked if I received the notice that the hard inquiry was done by Credit Karma because I am told by Sync Bank that they have had compkaints like mine and it turns out that it is a glitch from Credit Karma computer Systems. Now Credit Karma is saying they cant do anything and TransUnion and the bank all say the same thing that they can't do anything. Well the bank knows its not me and TransUnion knows its not me because on the Information TransUnion provided by the person who had the credit check done for the card has a different contact information than me.
This is the information that appears on my Credit Report through TransUnion that shows up being the [redacted] that had credit check done.
[redacted]
[redacted]
Ph: XXX-XXX-XXXX
None of that information is correct for me. I do not live in ** nor have I ever lived there and thats not my phone number and I have a middle name I use all the time .
I never inquired about a Credit card with this bank or any other establishment. I have had my identity stolen in past a few years back and I am very cautious with my personal information and I haven't signed up for any new credit for anything. I did have an acct with Sync Bank way back in 1992 I paid it off in 1993. With Service Merchandise that store has since closed for business. But considering I have done everything I have been told to get this taken off my Credit report but it seems no one can do anything is crazy. If the supposed institute that is showing up on my credit report as doing a credit inquiry on me is saying they have NO record of this inquiry in any of there systems and Sync Bank doesnt even offer National Credit Cards/ Airlines then how did it get reported to Trans Union? And if the Bank Sync Bank cant find it and there us NO reference # that shows the inquiry ever being done then bank cant contact TransUnion without reference number to have it deleted. Sync Bank said Credit Karma has a glitch in their computer system that they have been called about this happening to others and Sync Bank said to contact Credit Karma that it is a Glitch in their system then how can I get my Credit Report fixed?
I do not know what to do anymore I had a watch put on my Credit so if anyone tries to get credit in my name not to have it go through because ny identity was stolen before how did anyone get my credit check through anyway. It was supposed to be flagged. Yes I was notified that there was an inquiry a hard inquiry done on me and its not me how did this happen and how does it get fixed. I contacted everyone I was asked to contact and no one can help. What does the innocent person do to fix a mistake or error in the system?
Can you please help me

Hi [redacted] -
I'm very sorry that this situation is so frustration for you. Credit Karma simply translates the data we receive from TransUnion and Equifax into a simplified, readable format and provide educational resources. We're not a credit bureau, so we are unable to make changes to your credit report. Only TransUnion will be able to remove this item from your credit report.
Sychrony Bank is the only company that can report a hard inquiry to the bureaus. We are not a lender so we have no ability to send lender's information, such as a hard inquiry, to a bureau.
You must dispute this information through TransUnion directly: https://dispute.transunion.com/dp/dispute/landingPage.jsp
I'm sorry we are unable to help you in any other way.
Thank you for your patience.

Each scoring model has a slightly different formula for analyzing the many different factors of your credit report and each person has many different credit scores. On your Credit Karma account, you will see the VantageScore 3.0 scoring model, provided individually by TransUnion and Equifax.VantageScore 3.0 incorporates a broader set of credit-related data and can score up to 30 million more people than other models.  With so many different scoring models out there, you never know which score a bank will use, but VantageScore 3.0 is a strong predictor for what the banks may see. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

I apologize for the confusion. It looks like you may have received these notifications due to a clerical change in the way the bureau lists these inquiries on your credit report.Hard inquiries remain on your credit report for two years. You can read more...

here: [redacted]It doesn’t look like these inquiries were due to be removed yet.You can verify the dates of your inquiries [redacted]Please let me know if you have any further questions about this, I’d be happy to answer them.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
