I just went into one your stores today at the irving Blvd location to return a new phone that I got and didn't like at this store .(im well into the 7 days return policy as of this writing)

The store manager was only willing to refund me 44$ out of the full amount I paid of 184$ that's including the bundled accessories they sold me that I didn't ask for. That's is unacceptable and predatory I need my money back!

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In the complaint, Ms. states, she would like her device unlocked.

We have researched Ms. account and see her device was activated on April 28, 2020 and does not meet Cricket's 6-month eligibility. Therefore, we are unable to unlock the device as requested at the moment. Once Ms. completes the full 6-month term, Cricket will be able to unlock her device.

We advised her of Crickets unlock policy which states: The device you want to unlock has been active for at least (6) months of paid service. The Cricket Wireless Unlock Policy can be found at www.cricketwireless.com/deviceunlock. Cricket's Unlock Policy is part of our terms and conditions which are accepted at the time of activation and each month upon the renewal of service.

We thank Ms. for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her concern.

Okay I'm at my breaking point.. I switch phone service to cricket. And now I cant even use my phone. From the moment I got it was dead. Went home and charged it. Then went to make a call and nothing. It wouldn't even let me connect to wifi. So I called the store and they was absolutely no help. Then I called customer service and found out that my phone was reported stolen. Mind you I bought it from a cricket store on 78th street by a cashier that work there. I ask the customer service representative what I needed to do she said I need to.go back to the store and have them replace it. So I called the store to let them know what she said. So the store is almost a hour away from me so I ask her if I could go to another cricket store and she said yes she will call them and let them know I was coming And what I need. So I go and well I got no where they send me back to the other cricket store about a hour away and I got there and the dm was there so I was like great now I can get it fix. What a joke 3 hours to find out that nothing can be done until it's off the blacklist. He told me to come back in the am and it will be taking care off so I go back home with no phone. I come back in the am like he said and the manager and the lady who sold me the phone was there. I explain again what was going on and the manager blamed me for the report of it stolen. What a joke. So I called customer service representative again and they informed me that the store it self had put it on the blacklist the moment it was activated. So I had the customer service representative talk to the store manager and she did absolutely nothing but argued with the gentlemen. Didnt listen to anything he was telling her. She was nasty and rude. I even called the dm like he told me too and he never returned my call. I was still left without my phone service... day later my phone work for a couple of day and then yesterday nothing no calls no messages want even connect to wifi. So I called the customer service representative again. He informed me that it was blacklisted in January...wtf told me I he will have a tech contact me to get it removed and he retire my phone it work for about a hour then I get a text from cricket saying it can't be removed from the blacklist with out the customer service at the store doing. Told me that a supervisor will call the store where I bought it from and walk them thur what needed to be done. So again another night with out my phone. I get up and was about to go to the store and decided to call customer service representative before I went and see they had taken care of. Now this is where I get *** off... the supervisor told me that there is nothing he can do but create a ticket. I ask him to call the store where I got it and explain to them what they needed to do and that it had absolutely to do with me that this whole stressful situation was on their part. Well the person who answered him hung up on him in the middle of explaining what was wrong. And asking for her name. Then he ccx called back 4 times and no one would answer him. He ask me for the ri number that is printed on the receipt I give it too him and it's not even the correct information on the receipt that pulled up the number I was giving. I explain to him that the store will do absolutely nothing and I need my service on today and he said. There's nothing he can do . That I need to go a gain back to the store to have them give me the original receipt. And he will create a mother ticket. Like what the *** is wrong with them. Do they not get it that it was totally and honestly the store fault and that as a company they would help and give me a new one and apologize for all the time and stress I have been in. But no nothing has been done. No call back from tech no phone no call back from dm. And NO PHONE!!!!!! SO BASICALLY CRICKET CAN SELL BLACKLISTED PHONE TAKE PEOPLE MONEY. TREAT CUSTOMER LIKE TRASH AND HAVE NO REMORSE FOR SELLING ME A MESS UP PHONE. *** 13 I GOT IT AND ITS THE 25 I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH IGNORANCE AND STUPIDITY AND STILL DONT HAVE PHONE SERVICE AND NO ONE WILL HELP!!!! I AM BEYOND *** THE *** OFF. OH AND YEA THERE'S IS NO CORPORATE PHONE NUMBER ONLY WAY TO REACH THEM IS ON SOCIAL MEDIA... WHAT THE FK .... I AM BEYOND Frustrated anyone has any suggestions or no what I can do please help.... I want to scream and whoop someone but. How can they have employees that dont have a brain or any idea what they are doing.... That company is a joke and thief... DO NOT GO TO CRICKET ON 78TH STREET AND PALM RIVER.... NASTY AND IGNORANCE PEOPLE..

They are the worst company ever I would not recommend. They are charging me monthly for insurance that I never requested and is from a previous account with my phone number but charging me for that persons outstanding amount in insurance. I didn't need insurance because I didn't get my phone from them, so idk why I would be paying insurance on it. When I requestion to be refunding for the money they been charging me they told me they can't. They are thieves.

I love the "unlimited data" that we are suppose to have. At the end of the biiling cycle our streaming speed slows down to a snails pace.
Will be switching soon

Cricket Wireless Response • May 23, 2020

The Cricket core plan's data speed is limited to 3 Mbps, with video streaming limited to 1.5 Mbps (SD quality, about 480p ) Cricket may slow data speeds when the network is congested for the Cricket Core and More plans. If you have any further information contact us at 1-800-274-2538

During the Coronavirus I lost my job reached out to all my debt collectors and explained I lost my job school shut down and we are going into lockdown and I needed help with my services only company that told me no was cricket wireless so I decided to do a bridge pay. It took me two weeks to come up with the money and paid 60 which made my phone bill 90 for the month instead of 70. So I called this month after doing the bridge pay again and they tell me oh we do have something for the pandemic but it ended on the 14th. So here I am thinking I been struggling to keep my phone on because school shut down I receive emails and calls from 7 different teachers in regards to home schooling to now I'm still struggling I explained I been waiting on unemployment and I don't have the money they refuse to give me credit for when they were offering help for the pandemic. They are saying they can do another bridge pay but ur payment for the month will be 130 how are ya getting away with this during a crisis. This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by Ms. ***. In this complaint Ms. states, she lost her job due to COVID-19 and Cricket Wireless has not assisted her with payment options.

Cricket provides wireless service one month at a time, paid in advance. As a prepaid carrier, Cricket is unable to accrue or defer account charges. At the end of each month of service, Cricket does not know if the customer wishes to continue service unless the customer makes the next month's service payment. In the event of non-payment, Cricket suspends service until such time as the customer renews their service by making a payment.
Cricket understands how important it is to have wireless service during a challenging time like this, and we are constantly evaluating how best to serve our customers. As a result, we had several temporary offers to help customers during this time. While most of those offers expired on May 15, 2020, all current offers can be found on our website at: https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/fraud-and-safety/covid-19.html
Additionally, Cricket always offers BridgePay, a convenient service that lets you split your current bill into two payments, giving you an additional 7 days to pay.
We spoke with Ms. in reference to her complaint on May 30, 2020 via email. As a one-time courtesy we restored her account. She is aware of the rate plan she is currently on and payment due date of June 29, 2020.
We thank Ms. for her communication and trust that Cricket Wireless will continue to be her carrier of choice.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by Mr. ***. In this complaint, Mr. states that Cricket Wireless will not unlock his device and that he is locked into a six-month service agreement. He states that he was never advised that he had to keep his device on the Cricket Wireless network for six months to qualify for an unlock code.

We contacted Mr. via phone on May 28, 2020 to explain our unlock policy which states, in part, that the device would have to remain active on the Cricket Wireless network for six months in order to have the device unlocked. Customers are required to accept these terms prior to initiating service. As Cricket Wireless offers a monthly pre-paid service, Mr. is free to discontinue his account at any time.

Cricket Wireless Unlock Policy can be found at ***. Cricket's Policy states:

The device you want to unlock has been active for at least six months of paid service.
The device you want to unlock is designed for use on and is currently locked to Cricket's network.
Your device hasn't been reported as lost or stolen.
Your device isn't associated with a fraudulent account.

Mr. understood the policy and had to open a new account to finalize the remainder of his 6 months. We provided a one-time courtesy credit to Mr.. He was happy with this resolution.

We thank Mr. for his communication and trust that we have properly
addressed his complaint.

I signed up for Cricket Wireless, on a plan with 2 lines and received 2 free phones (LG Fortune 2 and Alcatel Insight) in the mail from Cricket on either April 30, 2020 or May 1, 2020. My teenage son who is special needs informed me that his Alcatel Insight phone's background light was adjusting on its own and that his wrist was hurting because the phone was too small. I called Cricket on May 7, 2020 (The same day my son informed me of this issue with the phone) and asked if I could exchange the Alcatel Insight phone for the LG Fortune 2 Phone because the trouble my son has with the Alcatel Phone, I don't have with the LG phone. I spoke with a Customer Service Rep who told me I had to take the phone back to a Cricket store. I called multiple Cricket stores here in Cleveland whose phones were either disconnected or had other phone trouble. I reached back out to another Cricket Representative through chat. This representative told me that the last Cricket Rep I spoke with was incorrect and that I cannot take the phone back to a Cricket store, but instead, I have to contact the warranty department. I called and spoke with Ellen in Cricket's warranty department. Ellen informed me that I could not exchange the Alcatel Phone for the LG Fortune 2 Phone, but that I would have to just send the phone back to Cricket. She also told me to just "Buy the LG Fortune 2 Phone." I informed her that I am not working and have no money to purchase the phone. I called Cricket back one last time and spoke with a Rep named Jom. I requested to speak with a Supervisor. Jom told me that he would get a supervisor and asked for the reason for a supervisor request. Jom stated that there is a 7-day policy with Cricket and it's a no return no exchange policy. I asked him where this information was listed, and he did not give me an answer. He also never transferred to me a supervisor and at first refused to give his name. since I signed up, I notice that Cricket does not serve customers at all.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Ms. states that she had a poor experience with Cricket's customer service and was unable to exchange a malfunctioning device that she purchased online. She is requesting to have her device exchanged or replaced.

Cricket provides a 7-day return policy for qualifying devices purchased online. The 7-day period begins on the date the device was received. Our return policy is displayed during the order process, on the order confirmation and is listed on our website at https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/orders-and-activations/returns-and-exchanges.html.

We researched Ms. account and found she attempted to return her device after her 7-day window expired. She ordered her new device online and received it on April 29, 2020, making her last day to return the device May 5, 2020. Ms. attempted to return the device on May 7, 2020, outside of the 7-day window. Ms. device is eligible for our warranty exchange program, assuming the device still meets the conditions set out on our website at https://www.cricketwireless.com/support/orders-and-activations/warranty.html.

We contacted Ms. on May 28, 2020 and explained our findings. She stated she had another device she would like to activate and requested a credit for her experience. We agreed to issue a one-time credit to her account for the issues she experienced and to cover the cost of a new sim card. Ms. had no further questions and is happy with the resolution.

We thank Ms. for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her concerns.

I paid my bill early for the Month of June. I had to cancel and cricket will not refund my money.
Account Number XXXXXXXXX
I was current on my May bill, I went ahead on May 14th and paid my June bill that was due on 6/4. I had to cancel my account on 5/16 and cricket will not refund my money that I had paid in advance. I did a dispute with the bank like cricket advised, but Cricket fought it and denied the refund. I called again today to be told that there is no way for cricket to refund any money since the account is cancelled. I do not think it is fair or right to keep money that was paid in advance on an account that didn't render any services during the month of June, which the $90 was paid for. Cricket offered little to no help on this matter except for telling me that they couldn't help me.

Desired Outcome

I am looking to have my $90 refunded that i paid for the month of June. There is no reason any money should be kept by cricket for services for the month of june when the account was cancelled on 5/12020

I run a small business. I own vending machines in three of my local malls. I require the use of mobile hotspots in order to provide an internet connection to these vending machines. Now as a direct result of the Covid19 pandemic, our malls were closed and our vending machines were shut down; therefore, effectively rendering my hotspots unnecessary. I called on May 4th to ask for payment forgiveness ONLY for the hotspots, NOT for the rest of my plan. The lady I spoke to agreed to set me up on, "bridge pay," and told me to call back on May 19th (today). She even sent me a text message which I will paste here and try to attach as a screenshot as well:

Hi *** Sim here from Cricket! I'm glad we were able to work together to set up bridgepay for free call us back at 5/19/20. Thank you. We value your business!

I just got off the phone with Cricket, not only did the previous representative not set me up on bridge pay, she never took me off of automatic payments, which the rep today told me she was supposed to do. So my payment was automatically taken, money that I can't afford right now BECAUSE OF COVID! And then they refused to refund me that payment, instead, instructing me to call back again on June 19th to try to set up bridge pay again. I have ZERO faith in Cricket Wireless to decently treat me like a human being.
Account_Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (Requires Explaination) I would like a refund for the unjust billing that occurred as a result of their negligence. AND I want a billing adjustment for the next period to compensate for the migraine they've caused me...AND THEN I want Cricket to grow a moral conscience!

Purchased a case that came with screen protector. Protector was installed at store but did not fit right. Store refused to make it right
Case and screen protector were purchased at a Cricket Wireless store in Salt Lake City. Location is at 700 North and Redwood road.
Store employee installed the screen protector and case. We didn't notice until we got home that the screen protector fit poorly. It was actually too small. When we went back to the store the next day they refused to make it right and refused a refund. The cost was about $38. The manager was extremely rude and said that they would not refund or replace the screen protector.

Desired Outcome

We would like back the cost of the case and screen protector.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In this complaint, Ms. states that she is requesting her device to be unlocked.

Cricket's Unlock Policy is part of our terms and conditions which are accepted at the time of activation and each month upon the renewal of service. The Cricket Wireless Unlock Policy can be found at www.cricketwireless.com/deviceunlock.

Cricket's Policy states:
The device you want to unlock has been active for at least six (6) months of paid service.
The device you want to unlock is designed for use on and is currently locked to Cricket's network.
Your device hasn't been reported as lost or stolen.
Your device isn't associated with a fraudulent account.
We have researched Ms. account and see her device was activated on July 12, 2019 and meets Cricket's 6-month eligibility. We would like to advise Ms. that her device must be unlocked via the MyCricket app. We emailed Ms. on May 28, 2020 with steps on unlocking the device from the app. Below we provided the steps to unlocking the device from the MyCricket app:
How do I unlock my phone using the myCricket app?
Some Android phones must be unlocked using the myCricket app. If you tried to unlock your phone in My Account, but received an error, follow these steps to unlock your phone using the myCricket app:
1. Open your myCricket app.
2. Sign out of the app if you're signed in.
3. Tap Unlock Device on the app's sign-in screen.
4. Tap Unlock at the bottom of the screen.
5. Once your phone is successfully unlocked, restart it to complete the process.
We thank Ms. for her communication and trust that this explanation properly addresses her concern.

Re: ***

Dear Sir/Madam,

This correspondence is in response to a complaint filed by ***. In the complaint, Mr. states he received a message from Cricket Wireless advising he would receive an additional 10 GB of data at no extra cost. He states Cricket did not honor the promotion and would like to receive the additional 10 GB of data.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic Cricket made temporary rate plan offers in an attempt to better serve our customers. Cricket offered 10GB of data to customers with $30 and $40 capped smartphone plans. The offer started on March 27, 2020 and went on through May 15, 2020. Current and existing customers qualified on the capped and unlimited plans with the exception of the Simple Data plans, the $25 Talk and Text plan and the new $15 2GB plan were not eligible.

We researched Mr. account and found that he was on an eligible rate plan and qualified for the additional 10GB. The promotional feature was added to his account on March 28, 2020. Mr. received the SMS notification on March 29, 2020 stating the additional 10GBs of data had been added.

Mr. then requested his rate plan be changed to the new $15 2GB plan on March 30, 2020, causing him to no longer be eligible to receive the additional 10GB. The feature was then removed due to not meeting the requirements.

We contacted Mr. on May 26, 2020 and explained our findings. We informed Mr. that, after changing his rate plan he no longer qualified to receive the additional 10GB of data. Mr., however, did take advantage of Cricket's $15 2GB plan.

We thank Mr. for his communication and trust that this explanation addresses his concerns.
