We experienced high-pressure tactics to purchase a timeshareReps strong-armed us into making a purchase promising many benefits that didn't exist
Bluegreen Member number: XXXXXX, Contract numbers: XXXXXX (XXXX) and XXXXXX (XXXX)
We made our first purchase in Charleston, SC, June 22, 2012, for the Cibola Vista Resort in Peoria, AZThe second was purchased March 14, 2015, at Myrtle Beach, SC, for the Breckenridge Beach Villas Condominium, StPetersburg Beach, FL
We were invited by Bluegreen to attend a meeting about new uses of our current vacation packageThe refresher was a trick to sell us an upgraded contractWe explained that *** been through two lower back surgeries, and we were persistent about leavingBut they would not let us leave and made several offers to usWe were there more than hours, hungry, tired, and exhaustedLater, we found out that they ran our credit that we had insisted not be done as we were in the process of a purchasing a homeWe have numer

Terrible customer service, upon requesting a refund or exchangedWere not willing to fix the problem due to advertisement
Problem date: 5/4/18, Purchase date: 12/14/Upon arrival to vacation site, accommodations were under-whelming and we were changed more money upon arrival that was not disclosedUpon reaching out to the corporate they were un-willing to fix the accommodations issues or provide a refundThey stated that what I was telling them was a lie; about how much I paid for the vacation packageWe were left in a poor hotel room with not enough room for my family and without any sort of reimbursementWe were willing to just walk away and not be given the offers we were promised if a refund could be givenI asked for a manager to speak with and was told that I couldnt speak to one; and that the manager was "advising" them to tell mePayments were made on a credit card and payment amount was at least $dollars

They wont stop calling even after asking them to stop
I signed up at the mall to win a free carNow they wont stop calling me EVERY DAY telling me "I won an almost free vacation" I live in town and know they are a time share companyThey are a rip offNothing is free from themI have asked SEVERAL times for them to please stop calling meThey wont stop harassing us

Bluegreen Corporation is horrible! You would think the customer service would be nice after all the money is paidI truely feel everyone I have spoken with hates their jobsOne would think the upkeep at these locations would be better because of the money spent there, but sadly, noBeing a Gold member doesn't get you anywhereAll they do is take your money, raise their fees, make sure the rooms are "booked" when no one is there, call you to get you to come in for an "owners update" to buy more points, etcI want out of this joke of a contracta breach of contract

Since upgrading to Bronze status it has been harder to get a nice room, even when trying to book to months outThey save premium rooms for marketing and don't care about existing ownersDon't purchase anything from them as the money you spend for maintenance fees will get you into just as nice a place; possibly nicer!

At a PBR event in Tacoma WA, We were talked into purchasing a night stay at their resort in Las Vegas that included World Final PBR tickets to the night of our choosingAll we had to do is show up for their hour talk about buying into their time shareWe knew going in it's never just a couple of hoursOur room was very nice thoughBigger than the of us need but nice never the lessAfter sitting for at least hours with no end in sightI pretended to be sick to get out of the high pressure sales pitch(They seemed not to care that I actually had a kidney transplant) They just wanted us to sign the dotted line and buy a $60,contactFinallyThey realized we couldn't afford itWhen it came to go to the window to pick up our Sunday tickets to the eventSurprise! They only had a few single seats left! I was ***! They only had tickets together and it was for that night onlyAndThe event started in minutes! We took those and found out all the people around us were lied to alsoThey also were never given gift cards & other prizes that were offeredI'm surprised this company is still in business! They get star since the room was nice

Misrepresentation of timeshare benefits after intense pressure to purchaseFee increases with no increased benefits

We purchased a sampler package with Bluegreen in *** after intense pressure over the course of days of sales presentationsWe were persuaded to return in *** after to purchase more with the reassurance that we were locking in a far better value of ownership and investment by upgrading to a regular packageMany promises were made, indicating how good of an investment it was and that we would be saving so much money in the long run and in fact would be able to make money being we were at a preferred resortWe financed a $13,package at 10% interest rate with $1,down for year payment plan
When we discovered the program wouldn't work as promised after about a year along with our maintenance fees jumping much higher than what we were initially told, we called the corporate office t

Let me tell you all about my experience with Blue Green Vacations on my birthday June 26th, Yes this past weekMy husband and I decided to finally plan our trip, we live in Saint Petersburg FL so figured the drive to Savannah GA wouldn't be badWe schedule our trip, and no one on the phone tells us that we can essentially pick our hotel, so they put us up in Holiday Inn at W Bryan Street (DONT STAY THERE)When we finally got there, first of all there's no parking so you are forced to valetWe check in, and we are thinking out the hotel has been updated but it's a little ghawdyKeep in mind my husband is a cop while I continueWe go to the elevator and there's two of them (very small), and one is brokenWe have to wait 20minutes to go up to our room to unpackWe drop our stuff off at the room and decide to take a look aroundOur view was of a very ghetto gas station across the street that the cops where atWe go to the pool, looks okayWe go back downstairs to look at the bar, and a black male walks in with trash bags full of clothes smelling extremely strong of marijuana! Bad sign right there! We decide to talk a walk, and realize the hotel is located across the street from a homeless shelter, gross! So we keep walking, and now we are passing * lot of cops, hotels who have armed security standing outside (hotels they tried to move us to) before we finally get to the historic district where there's nice classy people roaming aroundWe go into the other hotels and see what a huge difference it is from oursWe ask a cop if our hotel is okay, he said nope you need to leave and find somewhere else to stay! So we go back to the hotel and called BGV to see if we could work something out when the cops have now been called to our hotel times and there's no air conditioning in the hallways either! We are on the phone with sales, and they can't find anywhere that isn't ghetto for us to stay! Again keep in mind my husband is a cop and there's not even any safes in any of the rooms (which I've never experienced)Bad sign after bad sign, BGV says hey we will move you to the HYATT! If you had the Hyatt in the first place, why did you put us at some ghetto hotel in the ghetto!!!!! So they come back saying we don't have that it's sold out! So, we said we are leaving the hotel it's horribly unsafe and we do just thatWe got to Savannah GA at 4pm, it's now 10pm that we've been dealing with all of this! Now we are stranded and looking for a hotel! We go check out, I go to valet to get the car, and cops where called the this ghetto hotel again! Valet had the be searched for, so after waiting minutes for my car, they can't get it because it's a stick shift! So I had to go get my own *** car because valet can't drive it! Now my husband and I are driving around in search for a hotel, we find the Andaz and it's amazing and we booked the very last room for $600!!!! When we shouldn't have need to pay for a hotel, but thanks to you we did have to! The next day June 27th, is our presentationWe check in to two girls who are horrible quite and not very welcoming, keep in mind the presentation is right across the street from the hotel we are now paying $for! So finally it's presentation time, *** was the one talking to usHe was horrible! We talked about his friend *** who died of cancer, which is horribly rude for him to make up this elaborate story and okay the sad face then laughing minutes later about something elseI have lost many family members due to cancer, and so has my husbandWe didn't like that at all! Then at the end, *** tried to get us to sign a agreement form after we said since you aren't giving us our $and don't really have to be here, we want time to really thing this throughHe tried to get us to sign the agreement for, even though it's was the same form to sign to continue with the time share! *** then got *** off when we said, no we aren't putting our signature on anythingAgain my husband is a cop, who was a detective for years, who's seen fraud in many different ways! We aren't putting our signatures on anything hat might possibly lock us into something and us not be aware that it's happening, which is exactly what *** was trying to do! After being there for hours, we finally leaveNot once during our days there did someone called and offer to pay for our $hotel after trying to put us in a dangerous situation at the initial hotel! I am very unsatifed, and had to deal with all of this on my birthday! I did the review today, and gave you all 1s on the 1-10, simply for no one trying to make the vacation I experienced RIGHT! I wouldn't recommend you guys to my worst enemy! My husband and I bring home $130k a year, we spend a lot more money when we go to NY for vaca every year and even after canceling the ghetto hotel you put us up in, we still went to the presentation simply because we wanted to proceed with getting a time shareNot anymore!

I have been a Bluegreen owner since we've made several attempts to use our timeshare going to a variety of locations such as Manhattan, NY, Savannah, GA, New Orleans, LA and Shenandoah ValleyDuring each attempt we were told it's unavailable we try to schedule with a year's notice and still we were met with the same responseWe were not told that our maintenance fees would go up every year to this date our maintenance fees are a WHOPPING $Bluegreen has caused my family and I a loss of peace of mind and of a vacation plan that was promised to usNOT A GOOD COMPANY AT ALLBluegreen does not deserved any stars

Very poor business with a very good sales teamThey sure make you feel like you are getting value for your money but when you try to use points you can not get in anywhereAfter years of trying to use points to get in to a resort I went for an owner reviewThe advised me that I had just lost of my points the previous day because I had not used themVERY BIG RIP OFF Do not fall in to their trapThey are very convincing and make it sound like a good dealIT IS NOT A GOOD DEAL

Despite having legitimate concerns about my ownership, Bluegreen has only tried to "argue" with me, making me feel that I am wrong and personally responsible for the issues I have experienced
*** at The Wilderness Club at Big Cedar seems to think that I am especially wrong because "she has a small package as well." So, not only did someone from Bluegreen openly admit that I have a small package, thus leading one to believe that is why I am unable to book as I was led to believe I would be able, but she just further proves how frustrating this company has come to be for me
All they are in the business of is leading people on and then telling them they are wrong when they bring up concerns or issues with the package they bought
Another representative in the Owner Communications department, Charm, stated the following:
"If you continue to not pay the Maintenance Fees, then your account will be terminatedUnfortunately, we can not predict a timeframe the termination would be completed because it varies depending on the ownerWe have some owners that the termination is completed within months to a year
In addition, please know that continued non-payment of your loan will result in a defaultAfter approximately four (4) months of non-payment, your loan will be terminated and reported as Zero Balance/"failure to pay" status to the credit bureausIn addition, your rights into the Bluegreen Vacation Club will also be terminated."
So, rather than actually addressing concerns and giving good customer service or accepting responsibility for their salespeople's mistakes, they are just going to terminate your account for not paying
I stopped payments because there is no reason why I should continue giving my money over for something I can't use as I was led to believe!
I'm honestly not even sure what there is to "argue" about other than I signed pieces of paper after being buttered upI did not see anything that seemed out of the ordinary for what I was told but is through trying to use the timeshare after all that, that I realized just how tricky these people areThey word things in such a way that lead you to believe you are being told the truth, and then the contract is worded in a way that makes it seem those details are being supportedWhen it comes down to it, though, I DID NOT SIGN ANYTHING THAT SAID "If you aren't happy, you acknowledge you can't complain or try to get out of the deal set forth ..."
Bluegreen is running a preposterous business yet making millions of dollars by partnering up with other million dollar companiesSo, it's not just Bluegreen it's all of their "partners" setting people up for all this trouble and burden, as well
Quite a shame especially when they boast trying to "share happiness" and "create" something more for people and familiesIt is ABSOLUTELY shameful
PLUS, they apparently do not respect cease and desist requests because I am STILL receiving phone calls every other day from the Collections Department, after explicitly asking them to stop calling because they were coming in at a very harassing rate!

I was traveling with Choice Hotels quite frequently in the past year and a half; during a phone call to the Choice Hotels customer service I was offered a stay for $at a BlueGreen Vacation resort plus $gift cardI WAS told that we would have a hour presentation for a timeshareI was told that we would be in the timeshare hotel during this callI was told that the hour presentation would be the second day of our stay and that it would be scheduled when we booked our reservation
When I called to book the reservation, they had 'difficulty' finding dates that would work, so we changed our desired dates multiple timesThen we were told that we could not be booked for the presentation until we checked into the hotel upon arrivalThis prevents us from making reservations for attractions we are intending to visit
We booked our flights then saw that unless we spent more money, we actually would be housed in another city across from the French Quarter and not owned by Choice Hotels or BlueGreen Vacations
We did not find out about the location issue (Which we estimate would cost us an additional $in transportation fees to go to and from the French Quarter one time per day" until after we booked our flightI'm guessing they bet on you spending more money to "upgrade" to the actual hotel since "we've already spent $for the stay [plus any other costs], guess we are stuck"Not for usWe are booking a hotel in the French Quarter that will not cost us 2+ hours of time in a sales pitch, cancelling this reservation with BlueGreen and may just decide to take the $lossWe are not 'wealthy', but the headache we've already had leave no doubt as to the kind of service we'll get should we have decided to buy from them

I have had the same problems as *** belowI contacted BG and got the following email in response

How is it that after you work to get a deal you can't make commission off the deal because you leave job early?
I am filing a complaint about the company because I was an employee sold a package and was supposed to make commission off of the dealI'm complaining because I do not think it's right that just because you leave the job before the deal is fully approved that you forfeit the commission of the dealI made this deal on April 23rd the deal was approved as of May 23rd and I was informed when I asked that I was still getting paid but found out today otherwiseI was informed that I was still getting paid by natasia happe when I asked about or weeks ago

I have been a Bluegreen owner since and have made several attempts to book at one of their resorts such as Manhattan, NY, New Orleans, LA, Gordonsville, VA, and Williamsburg, VA During each attempt (a year in advance) we were told that the locations mentioned were not available or we didn't have enough points and would need to purchase additional points to book at the resort Bluegreen led us to believe we would be able to book at any resort using our points (not purchasing additional points) but that is not true We were not told by Bluegreen that our maintenance fees would increase every year; however, they have increased over $ Bluegreen has caused my family stress and a promised a vacation plan that we are not able to use BLUEGREEN IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY! I would not give Bluegreen any stars

I thought I would get a nights stay at Mrytle Beach, however everytime I tried to book the room they could never guarantee me a hotel near the beachwho wants to stay in Mrytle Beach but not near the beach? First bad experienceSecond bad experience is when my dog gets into a fight and ends up seriously hurtShe has to be amputated, this is all a whirlwind because ER vet visits and surgery is costing me close to two grandhonestly the last thing on my mind is this vacation (that isn't at the beach like the orginial sales man told me it would be)I called three days before my scheduled check in date to let them know I will not be able to attend as I will have to care for my dogThe man was extremely unhelpfulHe canceled it and informed me it would be $to cancelso now I have paid a total of $for absolutely nothing! I'm just glad I didn't go and decide to purchase a time sharewith customer service like that before I even made the purchase of the time share, I can't imagine them being any more helpful once I purchase from themAlso I didn't think to ask the first gentlemen I spoke to about pets, but the man who canceled my stay was also very quick and rude to inform me that not a single one of their resorts are pet friendly! Kind of crazy to think not a single resort is pet friendly

I paid $for a package to visit a timeshare w/ Bluegreen VacationsNone of the locations I wanted were ever available when I needed
Since none of the destinations were available when I needed them to be, I picked Vegas thinking there would be more availability and higher chance of being on the stripWRONGI booked early and yet the only hotel they confirmed was at the end of the strip very far from anything(Not even the hop on hop off bus goes that far) I'm traveling with my year old mother who has a cane and this is horribleI could have booked a better hotel on the strip with the amount I paid for this packageI've made several calls to Blue Green Vacations and there's nothing they can doI don't even understand how they are in business if their service is this bad from the beginningOut of a city with hundreds of hotels, they couldn't find a better option on the strip? I'm very disappointed with the service and what I'll be getting for the price I paid

deceitful sales pitch
Was not told the truth on points systemOn when or where they can be usedHave tried booking numerous places even 8-months out same outcomeNothing availableSame issue if I try booking several months outStraight up lies

We have invested so much money in Bluegreen's vacation packagesIt is impossible to book a vacation at their resorts even if we have the pointsYou have to book almost a year ahead to get anything during the weekendMy husband and I regret ever buying into this timeshareThey made it sound so easyyou can book anything anytime anywhereComplete LieI can't even book a trip to their gulf shore resort for this summerThere is nothing availableThe maintenance fee is absolutely outrageous! We pay $a year for a timeshare that we can't even use

I was sold and paid for a vacation package that the company is trying to back out on
On April 9th I was sold a PBR vacation package for $for nights and days in Vegas in a Bluegreen Vacation Hotel I paid the $with my debit card Pictures shown to me were of a beautiful Suite and he stated this was the room we would stay in This package included three PBR tickets for the final night as well as $PBR gift certificates and a $gift certificate for a restaurant which I don't recall the name ofI was sold this package by the sales rep from Bluegreen vacations his name was *** *** This was sold at the Billings Montana PBR kiosk in the Billings MetraParkToday April 17th I called to make my reservations and was told I couldn't get the package because I do not meet the requirementsAt the time I purchase the package there was never any mention of any requirementsI was never shown the form and the salesman referred to it as the receiptThe salesman
