I was staying at a Bluegreen resort in Myrtle Beach and the representative promised my husband and myself a free night vacation at any Bluegreen resort if we attended a minute presentationWe attended and the presentation was hours longWe took that in strideAfterwards, we were given a paper for our supposed vacationAfter leaving and looking at the papers we noticed the resorts offered were not for the Bluegreen resorts we had been promisedA $fee was required to get a certificate to book the vacation at a list of alternate resortsWe took that in stride as wellI called to book and was told that I was trying to book too far out for the dates I needed and to wait until the first working day of May to call back and bookI did as I was told and was then informed that there was no availability at any of their accommodations in either North or South Carolina leftI asked for customer servi

Their sales pitch is a lieThe even have a clause in the fine print saying any verbal statements Used in the The sales presentation are not binding
In I fell Victim to Bluegreens deception and purchased a vacation packageAfter years of failed vacation plans I contacted Bluegreen Corp about selling my vacation membershipI was told that I needed to do an Owner Update and figure out how to fix my issuesWe went to a Bluegreen Owner update in Myrtle Beach*** was our associate in Myrtle, she flat out lied to my wife and I's faces and told us that if we upgraded our package that it would solve our issuesShe also lied and told us that she guaranteed us that if the problems wern't rectified that we could then sell the whole package back to Bluegreen and get our investment backNow after another few years of trying the system is the same, the vacations dont work, and we have found out that we cant sell it back to themI have even spoken with a lawyer now and found out th
I was scammed into buying a time share from BluegreenThey had promised has multiple thing that where not true or didn't follow through with
They sold us a time share 10x what it is actually worthThey had promised us luxury style restore, however that was a lie and you can't find any available for these so call resortsThey gave us "free" that we found we can't even useThe whole thing was just a big scamThey never even told us about the cancellation period during the sell or how much the interested was going to be on our loan
I was mislead and lied to about a Bluegreen Rewards card would not be opened in my name and now affecting my credit
On March 25th in Las Vegas I attended a sales presentationI declined several times wanting the ownershipThe sales manager then told me Bluegreen has a Rewards card and lets only see how much you could be qualified forI asked him if this would affect my credit, he told me no its all done internal with the company so I said okWhen I was qualified for a certain amount and I still declined his offers he said ok I have put cancel on the paperwork for this card and he even showed me he put cancel on the formI still got the card in the mail which I wasn't told it would happenAlso it has affected my credit score alot because it is new credit on my credit reportI am highly upset and this should not be the sales practice that should be going onAlso I want to mention the cruise ship deal is misleadingYour company shouldn't be telling people it's a free crui
Their sales team & presentation is complete fraud compared to what you actually get
May 9th 2016, my wife and I sat in a BlueGreen presentationAfter listening we declined to purchase, since as I informed their sales people, we are leaving the country for good this summer and moving to Europe
They immediately informed us about their RCI affiliates and proceed to say all these wonderful things about how RCI will allow us to use the BlueGreen Vacation points with RCI
They made many statements along the lines of what my points in the RCI system will amount too and what I can do with them
So being that I purchased this on May 9th, my account and membership does not go live until the follow month, being this JuneMore precisely I received my documentation and email and the logged in to view all of the things I was sold on
Short version is that, what I purchased will not allow me to do anything of the things the sales person told me I could
After calling and speaking
The salesmen used high pressures sales tactics to take advantage of us - we are senior citizens and didn't fully understand all that they said to us
Both of the sales we are disputing were completed in Ridgedale, MO (10/22/and 2/21/2016)We are senior citizens and to be in a sales presentation with sometimes three salesmen hounding us is very intimidatingThe sales presentation was supposed to be one hour but actually lasted four hoursThere was so much going on we couldn't concentrate or even think that we were doingThe basic sales presentation and the personal sales talk were done in a fast-paced manner, confusing, difficult for us to keep up and grasp all that they were talking about All the deals that were especially for us were good only for that dayWe couldn't sleep on itThe decisions had to be made then and we did the best we could under the pressure they put on usWe did understand (because we asked them to repeat) when they told us that the maintenance fees
I did not use service. They will not refund money
Contract XXXXXXXXDid not avail myself of service I feel I should be reimbursed since they used my money for their business
During one of my vacation trips to Myrtle Beach South Carolina while shopping at Tanger Outlet a representative from a Bluegreen Vacation kiosk approached me and told me that we could vacation at any Bluegreen Vacation destination and while at our destination we would hear about the different vacation locations and vacation packages Bluegreen Vacations had to offerWe were also told that we would receive a free cruise for four peopleI am so disappointed because nothing we were told was true that by the agent at the kiosk or customer service on the telephoneWhen we arrived in Las Vegas to Bluegreen Vacation our reservations for our hotel was incorrect and the document we received for our cruise states it is for two people and that it could cost anywhere from $to $a person to take the cruise with Carnival Cruises
Unfortunately, when we arrived to the Bluegreen welcome center in Las Vegas on February 23, while checking in we were informed that we were staying at the Tuscany Suites and Casino E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV When we made reservation for our trip to Las Vegas on July 16, we were informed that the only hotels available for our travel dates were SLS hotel or Tropicana hotelWe chose TropicanaWe received several calls from your customer service agents informing us about our trip dates, how much the taxes would be for staying at the Tropicana and where to go when we landed in Las VegasWe were informed that the taxes for staying at Tropicana were $A few days before our departure date we received a call with information about where the Welcome center was locatedAt no time did customer service call us and inform us that we were no longer staying at Tropicana
we are extremely upset about how we were treated when we got to the Bluegreen welcome center and the two supervisors I spoke to at the Bluegreen customer care departmentWhile speaking to the two supervisors they were not accommodating in any way and very unknowledgeable about how to accommodate for this great inconvenienceI requested from them several times compensation for the inconvenience of us not being at the correct hotel and not having any other hotel accommodations on the Las Vegas StripThe supervisors I spoke with keep telling me that they could refund $minus the $for cancelation and that we could vacate the hotelPlease tell me from a customer's perspective how it sounds to hear that we will give you $back and that you are in another state over a thousand miles from your home and be homeless until your flight departs in four days
I spoke to Tropicana hotel right after I spoke to the Bluegreen Vacation supervisors and they informed me that they had rooms available
I was presented with the option to purchase a "sample package" one year ago and it has been a huge mistakeThey limit the resorts and the days that you can travel so strictly, that I will end up losing most of the money I spent on the packageI was also told that I could share my points and book rooms for friends and family, only when I tried to, I was told that was for "full owners." I would have not purchased had I realized thatI think what they do is tell you all the great things about ownership, then slide in the "sample package" and you are just confused about the limitations of package because you have been bombarded with all the informationThen they call you non-stop to "have a weekend getaway on us" only to get there and have to attend a one hour (which ends up being more like hour) seminarDuring these said seminars, they try to force you to give them names of at least others for them to contactI am very disappointed and had high hopes for this groupThe one thing they have taught me is that I will not become a Bluegreen owner
My husband and I purchased from Bluegreen in February of in the New Hampshire locationWe went to the presentation and it seemed great We were offered free airline tickets-(which we were note able to use) and seven day certificates for vacations at resorts for $if we signed up that dayWe should have known at that point it something was not right We purchase 10,points for every years which basically gets you - a night stay at a resort off season once a year (maybe)This is not what we were looking forWe went to the update meeting in last June and it was awfulWe were put up at an gross hotel and when we went to what I thought would be a training about how to use the Bluegreen program it just turned out to be another way to sell more points At this point I had realized that this was probably not a good deal and absolutely not an investmentI do feel that we were misled and given informationIt has not been a good experience and has been a huge waste of money
In the beginning of prior to deployment I attended and purchased a Bluegreen Vacation PackageI was rushed through the process and had numerous claims about benefits for military members dangled in front of me such as low interest rate and the ability to book when I wanted where I wanted and that there would also be a space availableThe sales representative made many claims about the price of the timeshare the benefits of buying in and the accommodations and treatment of service membersThe advertisement and sales pitch that is conducted by Bluegreen's staff is deceptive and they do not give you much time to read the contract and figure that outThey told me that the offer that he was giving me was only going to last a few hours and that he was hooking me upThe sales representative completely took advantage of my military service to make promises and make it appear as if the company was highly accommodating of the military and that they appreciated themIn reality th
I became a blue green member in November of I bought an $8600(3000) point membershipI shared this membership with my exwifeWe divorced about a year laterWe agreed to share our blue green membershipI would use pointsShe would use the other pointsMy exwife went out and bought another blue green membership on her own while we were divorcedBlue green allowed her to link her new account to our shared account which meant I was paying taxes and maintenance on an account I never signed for or consented toI made blue green aware of what was going onI talked to a few different customer service people who could not really helpI finally had someone assigned to the issueI just wanted the accounts separated and unlinked from each otherThe rep acted like she was going to help and said she had the authority to do whatever was needed to make it rightI was hopeful something might happenShe never got back to meThere was weeks of silenceI had to email this person again to find out what was going onHer solution was to just have myself or my exwife pay $to sign the title over to one or the otherThe blue green rep even suggested not paying my taxes and maintenance and just walking awayI did not want to do that because it would hurt my creditI spoke to blue green for months about this issue and no one helped or cared about itWith all the money I invested I thought surely they could do somethingI feel like I could have sued blue greenI chose to just sign my title over to my exwife and not have anything to do with blue green anymoreThey clearly do not care about their members but have no problem taking a large amount of money from you to sign on with themTheir sales are high pressure and they are always wanting you to upgrade more when you stay at their resortsI feel they should at least give me my money back but am done talking to themI just booked my summer vacation on vacationrentals.comAt least I dont have outrageous taxes and fees by doing that
information was given at the time we upgraded our ownershipUpgrading would not have taken place with proper information
When we went to the owner update in December at the Shanandoah Crossing resort where told that there was a form we needed to sign stating that we were given the new information and the offer for owners to upgrade at the prices from previous yearsWe stated we could not do that due to financial reasons so at that point we where told that with over 20k points we would be able to use half of those points 10k to offset and nearly pay off our annual maintenance feesWe asked many questions about this and how that it worked and such, to which we were constantly told it's a benefit that "premier" members receivedWe knew that you could use points to minimally offset fees but it was nothing to the extent they where telling usSo after four hours of being in the sales office they had "shown" us how it benefited us and would save us money to upgradeWe have
The resort signed us up for a BlueGreen credit card stating that the terms were for months no interest and that it could be extended
The resort signed us up for a credit card which was to pay part of the mortgage We were told that there would be no interest for months and that it could be extended In actuality, it was only for months with no extension
took my money for a trip offering a guarantee, they wouldn't tell us where we were staying the day before we left I asked for money back mths no $
This company is full of lying sales people who promise things that never happenI have been promised calls, money, etc over and over but it never happensI sit in the phone for hours and nothing's results from it I bought a vacation package with a day money back guarantee but after we planned a trip and they would tell us where we would be staying the day before we left saying it would be one of locations, we cancelled and asked for the money backAfter writing letters and calling over times it has been almost months and we still don't have out moneyThis lying company has done nothing but take my money and run
We have tried working with Bluegreen but they refuse to help just because we don't want to discuss things verbally
We were shocked to realize that we had been sold contracts in months due to their staff members giving us information that turned out to be falseOf most importance, is the realization at our August purchase we were not given full and fair disclosure that the property we were purchasing is located in Atlantic City, New JerseyWe were under the impression the location of our ownership was of no importance, as we could make reservations anywhere we wantedThe reality is, the location of the purchase is very relevant as it dictates the time in which we have to cancelAfter searching our contract fully we see we were given a day cancellation period based on New Hampshire state lawsHowever, since the property we bought is located in New Jersey we were to be given days to cancelThis is not listed or explained anywhere within our agreementWe tried to reac
After many correspondences back and forth, Bluegreen is STILL refusing to give us quality customer serviceThey assert they must speak to us on the phone, but when we tried to call the requester back, they wouldn't answerNor would they return our callThus leading our loans to "default" because we stopped paying for a "service" that was not being delivered as we were told it would
As consumers, we have the right to dispute a service that we are unhappy about, yet Bluegreen has only made us feel we do not have the right, and there is nothing they can or will do to right the situation
How our complaints have been handled - which has been going on for MONTHS now - only proves further why we do not want anything more to do with Bluegreen
It is a pain just to get someone to reach out or respond back to you!
This company is a mockery, and we are ashamed that we believed the "dream" they were so "convincingly" selling
We bought in to it because we wanted to provide our family with something more and to leave behind a "legacy", as one representative told us at one point
This has brought us nothing but worry, doubt, frustration, and financial stress, thoughWe have not experienced anything positive from it, and we warn others for falling victim
Bluegreen is not as truthful as they would like to think they are - they are very good salesmen who are just looking for their money, not caring about what that "investment" later does to the people they suck in
Bluegreen sure seems friendly, and talks a good talk, but they are very sneaky They tried over and over and over again to try to sell us on their package First it started that it would be about $down, and $800+ a month for years, which I quickly shot down, as that's more than I pay for rent a monthThen they kept dropping the price, about times, until I finally convinced them, I have plans to buy a house in the near future and a kid on the way, so it wasn't something I was interested in Every time I inquired about how many points you get and how many it costs to book a place, they just kept telling me they'd show me eventually They finally suckered me into the "Sampler Package" which cost roughly $totalAnd with that $I am going to get maybe nights at a decent resort nearby That's $400/night, which is ridiculous To make matters even worse it was supposed to be a hour speel, but ended up taking almost hours, because they literally will not take no for an answer I will NEVER do business with Bluegreen again, and have never dealt with a shadier company They try to sweet talk you and pretend they are your friends Well that's not true, cause my friends would respect that I have other priorities (such as purchasing a house) over purchasing an overpriced vacation package
Bluegreen Resort Corporation, you continue to slap my wife and I in the faceWe just received a phone call from your Customer Care team, this time the individual identified himself as a manager but in the many conversations with your Customer Care, I have asked for a manager to be told that there is not onePer the voice mail, the person said "Nothing can be done because nothing appeared to be wrong with your contract"I guess that includes that you find nothing wrong with lying or misleading your Bluegreen Owners during upgrades just to make a dollarYou don't find it wrong to lie and guarantee to help your Bluegreen Owners lower their maintenance fees but actually cause their maintenance fee to more than double Or maybe your definition of Nothing includes having your Bluegreen Owners trusting and believing that your company has their best interest at heart when in actuality you view the Owners as financial opportunities and will use "A By Any Means Necessary Approach" to get them to sign documents Our only purpose of speaking to your Sales Rep was after he stated that he could upgrade our contract by combining our two Bluegreen properties into one and to lower our maintenance fees which we now understand was a lie because we still have two properties and our maintenance fees have more than doubled It appears that no one from Bluegreen Resorts seems to think that there is nothing wrong with my family not getting our contract to review until Jan and noticing that there was documents missing as well as a previous not reviewed Purchase Proposal with noticeable alterations on it, when we actually signed the documents in Oct but dated for Sept based on conversation with your Sales Rep I have the date that your sales rep FaceTimed me on my IPAD proving the fact that he called and lied to me You can track the date the FEDEX was delivered and returned by me You can even track via FEDEX when the contract was delivered in January but no one can tell me the date the original contract was supposed to have be mailed in October At this point, leaves my wife and I to the conclusion that the contract was never sent, that this was done purposely and because if we couldn't review it within five days, it automatically became a valid and enforceable contract that we can't revoke and that's why we are having such a problem nowBut I understand for Bluegreen Resorts to admit that you know that my wife and I was misled and the sales rep misrepresented your company would be too much for your company to swallow The voice mail went on the say that Customer Care would help me understand what I signed and clarify my misunderstandings At this point, this would not have been necessary if the sales rep hadn't lied to us We owned two Bluegreen properties, both properties were supposed to be equity traded but only one was doneThe traded property was less that $from being paid completely off and the other we owed less that $8, My wife and I signed documents to trade both properties but when I get my copy back, we were told that we never signed documents like that and because it was now January, it was too late to void the contractI can't get past the fact that this sales rep promised to lower the maintenance fees, that was the only reason we talked Your sales rep said that he could combine the properties into one payment, lower the maintenance fees and also give us the SILVER VIP package but it's now obvious that we as year Bluegreen Owners were wrong to believe a Bluegreen employeeWe understand now that no one is going to take responsibility for you sales rep's lies and that he purposely misled your clients in order to make a sale But yet you call me a say in your voicemail that you will help me to understand what I signed and clarify my misunderstanding, isn't that the crime I committed when I talked to your Sales Rep, was it not his job to help me understand without lying what I was signing and wasn't his responsibility as a Bluegreen representative to clarify my misunderstanding without feeding me a bunch of misrepresented liesSo I do thank you for the voice mail message because it actually stated more than what any Customer Care person have statedTo admit that I have misunderstandings, implied that the Bluegreen contract was misrepresented by the Sales Rep and his Branch Manager who approved of his sales tactics Well BLUEGREEN, I will be forward this information to my attorney and the Revdex.com in Florida and South CarolinaAt this point, my wife and I are determined not be abused by your corporation and by forced to pay for a product that was misrepresented by your employeeIn spite of trying to come to an agreeable solution by amending the contract or voiding the contract with Bluegreen, the many perceived conversations with Customer Care was in fact just an attempt to make me believe that you cared about your Owners The voice mail was only a confirmation
