Awful experience from start to finishUpon going into a Bass Pro shops one weekend my husband got suckered into their promotionI knew better but figured it was a harmless way for him to learn his lesson about timesharesLittle did I know that the whole thing would backfire on both of usWe booked our trip and had everything planned out for a weekend awayLess than weeks before our vacation I got injured at work and required surgery, and subsequently lost my jobWe called and tried to rearrange our booking but were told that since it was just weeks from our date, if we canceled we would incur a $120+ charge for the weekend and would be forced to re-bookI wasn't going to pay that for not having a weekend away so we just stuck with the dateWe arrived at the hotel they assigned us late on Thursday nightThe room was filthy: bobby pins all over the floor, a dirty bathroom, pee stains on the sheets (I can only hope it was pee), hair in all the corners, and no bed bug protectors on the bedWe called the front desk and they told us they would send someone upThey never did and we ended up stripping the beds and putting down garbage bags and sleeping under our own blanketsCome the next morning we complained to the hotel again and they said someone would clean the room and offer us a safe for our belongings while we were out (they never did either of those things)We planned on complaining to the Blue Green company when we arrived at our "preview" on FridayWe got to the preview and after waiting minutes a girl helped us and had us fill out a paperShe told us to circle our current household earned income on the sheetBecause we are honest people and I had just lost my job we selected one of the lower categoriesShe said nothing when we handed the slip backminutes later, all probably families had been ushered away and my husband and I were left standing in the lobby as the presentation startedAt that time my husband went to the front desk to inquire and was told we didn't meet the minimum income requirements for the program and would be required to pay at least $for the remainder of our weekend and would not receive any of the "free gifts"I calmly explained my current job situation and why we circled the income number we didShe said "I don't careHere's a 1-number you can call but we can't do anything for youPlease leave"The whole process was awfulI was irate and crying while for the next hours my husband talked to someone at the 1-numberI just lost my job and major income for our family, was currently unable to do much on any of this "vacation" because I was on crutches, and now had to listen to a conversation occur about how we had to pay hundreds for an awful hotel and trip we had wanted to reschedule before anywayThe only thing Blue Green said they would do was charge us an additional $for our weekend in addition to the full amount in gift cards we had already received from them EVEN IF we checked out the next morning since it was already after checkout hours for the day (because we had to wait for them to call us back hours later, thereby resulting us losing an entire day of doing anything at our destination)Oh and did I mention, all of this happened even AFTER we explained that we were told to put in our household earned income (under 50k) but were not told we could include any additional means of income (my deceased mother in law's pension payments) that would have qualified us in the 50-60k/yr range....which would have meant we could have gone to the stupid timeshare presentation and not been charged for everything?! All in all I will never ever trust Blue Green again and will warn everyone I know to stay away from their business and unethical marketing tacticsThey ruined our "vacation" and charged us an exorbitant amount for a mediocre hotel and a gift card we will probably never useStay away from this company!!

I recently attended a Bluegreen vacations sales seminar in Williamsburg VA and was favorably impressedThe information was clear and conciseThe presentation was focused and stayed shortThe one-on-one with the sales representative was informativeI did sign up but a few days later exercised my cancellation option within the time period ( seven or ten days I I don't recall at the moment) The cancellation option is included in the documents all buyers receiveI thought there might be pressure calls- nopeNot one! They gave a full refund within 7-business days of their receipt of the required documentsI did make sure to return everything I received from them including my copy of the legal documents that they had given to meIt may not have been necessary, but I made my own copies and took picturesThe folks at Bluegreen vacations were very professional, prompt and pleasant

In the time since buying two contracts from Bluegreen Resorts,we have learned that your entire sales program is built on lies and fraud
Perhaps the biggest, and most outrageous lie to this point is that we could take the high interest rate we experienced with Bluegreen's financing, and refinance at our own bank at a lower interest rateWhen we attempted to refinance, the bank told us they never refinance timesharesThey have no value and do not appreciate, once againTheir only cost is what the management says its worthThere is no collateral to secure a loanIt's not real property. At that point, we thought my shoulder surgeries had been completed; I expected to resume working soonWe did not know I would require two more procedures, as the condition worsenedEach surgery requires months of recoveryWhen this shoulder heels, I will need my other shoulder doneSo far, I have been on workman's compMy wife, however, is retiredWe have one reduced income now, more surge

This business practices under pretense they have no intentions on giving our incentives promised it's a total scam and complaining to management you get nowhere they are all in on it all you get it is the runaround C is to good of a rating they need a F rating they are one big scam and sham do not do business with them

Nothing but lies and deceit! Horrible experience with this company

Horrible customer service-doesn't answer emails or pushes you to someone else that knows nothing
I have been trying to get unlinked from my in-laws since June with no luck and absolutely no help from Bluegreen...just the usually run aroundI have called and emailed pretty much every week since June with no resolveI finally told them we were not going to pay anymore until this situation gets solvedI emailed corporate times with no answerFinally I made the hour drive to the nearest Bluegreen location to get the paperwork they said I needed, which still took an hour to get even though they were emailed the information from the customer service line stating if I didn't receive it in the next hours I would be there bright and early to get it in personThey have repeatedly lied and told us that we were buying an investment property and that maintenance fees would never go upwell in a year and a half they have doubled if not more than thatThey said they would buy

Unethical business practice, misrepresentation and willfully withholding information
My sister and I Purchased a points based vacation ownership on August 19, in Williamsburg, VAWas told we were buying XXXXX points per year Told we could use any Choice hotel for $to $per night, Told we needed to attend an orientation session to be instructed how to use what we purchased and all our questions would be answeredWhat a lie about the help to use what we thought we boughtThey said the return trip would be on themHowever, we find that when we attempted to schedule the orientation to return to Williamsburg, VA, we had to pay $We were also told that we would have a bedroom suite; however when inquiring at time of reservation we were told we had to pay $to upgrade Also we were then told that our points would be allotted to us on Sept 1st of every year and that we could roll them over for a fixed price of $ What a load of crockThe salespeople in William

Sales explanation was full of lies about usage and every other aspect of the vacation club
Purchase date was just June in gatlinburg tennesseecontract number XXXXXXMember number XXXXXX Financing is thru bluegreenSales rep *** *** Was told so many lies from usage to being able to sell the vacation if it did not work out for usWas told saved points could be combined and used during any season not limited datesWas told we could use few points to offset maintenance fees if we didn't use them years later we have not been able to book anything desired with the points we have due to restrictions on saved points and resorts taking too many points for reservations

We recently bought into the unkept promises of Bluegreen vacations We bought in June and were assured that we could get an all inclusive with the amount of points that we purchased We started up front telling the man we spoke to and who sold us this that we were interested in mostly cruising and all inclusives WE were assured with the amount of points we purchased that it would cover it thru the RCI exchange WE tried to book a ALL INCLUSIVE (which includes airfare, food, drinks if you book with travel sites) and we were told that it would cost approximately $a day per person PLUS airfare costs in addition to using all of the points we purchased for a yearWe were NEVER told this The "free" cruise we are supposed to get (that we have not booked yet as we are going to try and sue to get our money back.) is NOT free When I am told I am getting something free I expect to pay nothing We were NEVER told we would have to pay the port fees and taxes for the cruise WE were never offered to buy points from them less than the bronze level of purchase WE have since found out that we can NOT even try to sell the points we bought without Bluegreens permission as to who we can sell to We were told that we would be bought back for training on how to book all the vacations because it is complicated and overwhelming and they had us set up another date three months later to come WELL we were NOT trained at all it was just more pressure trying to get us to buy more In less than on hour we spoke to different people who kept coming in telling us what a great deal we already got and how they could get us more points with no cost Its all lies DON'T DEALwith Bluegreens OPur biggest mistake ever I could go on and on and on about all the fraudulant things we were told

My family and I have been members since November and haven't had a smooth vacation since we startedThis company is the worst Time Share Company I have ever heard of and this is probably one of the worst decisions I have ever madeIf you are reading this review before becoming a member, if there is any advice I can give you is DO NOT DO IT! My family and I just wanted a nice relaxing getaway for the weekend as they will explain in their presentation is the best part of being a member with BluegreenHowever, I come to find out two days before leaving for our getaway, the original resort address that was given to me was not the correct address, which would have been awful if my family drove hours to the wrong placeThen come to find out we ALSO have to sit through another "owners update" meeting that will last one hourThis was NEVER discussed with us when we became members as this weekend getaway was one of their "free" vacations they were "throwing" in for usNOTHING is ever free with this companyWe have paid them $20,to still pay for taxes on our tripsOverall, I've never had a worse experience with a company in my life

I was contacted by bluegreen on a "sweepstakes" that I won
They tried to push me to "reserve" my "free/extremely discounted" vacation and cruise
When I refused to hand out financial information, they put me on the line with a "specialist," who proceeded to insinuate that I didn't know what I really wanted for my family and that I "DO" want to save money on vacation
She kept interrupting me and would not let me speak
These people need to be reprimanded for their business tactics and the way they take advantage of poor people who don't know how to handle pushy salespeopleThey were very rude and did not wish to honor my wishesNever Again

In my wife and I made the worst financial decision of our lifeIt cost us over $20,We were lied to by the the sales people at Blue Green Timeshares!!!!!! We planned to meet our children in Branson Missouri for ThanksgivingWe were told that our timeshare was not available so we were sent to a hotelWe were not even allowed to go see our timeshare while we were there!!! We were never able to see or use our timeshare but were charged for timeshare so we hired an attorney to get out of our timeshare!!!!!! These people are EVIL!!!!!!

This company is incessantly calling and harassing me regarding a vacation package it is trying to sell
About a year or two ago, someone from BlueGreen Vacations contacted my husband about purchasing a vacation packageWe spoke to a representative on the phone, and my husband paid an initial deposit on a packageNothing was purchasedNo contractsSimply a deposit to express our interest in pursuing a package
We ultimately decided NOT to purchase a vacation package because of our busy lives and hectic schedules, which did not permit one of the type offered by this company
That should have been the end of the storyInstead, this company has engaged in a harassing pattern of conduct wherein it has repeatedly called my cell phone in an attempt to "get to the bottom" of why we did not purchase a vacation packageTheir tactics are bullying, hostile, and thinly veiled attempts to strongarm us into purchasing a package
I have repeatedly told these sales representatives t

My wife and I purchased a night day stay from the original Bass Pro in Springfield Missouri for $Due to health issues we were not able to go that yearWe were eventually able to reschedule our trip for the following year, We had a great time at Big Cedar in Branson, MOWe took our daughters family with us and the six of us stayed in a two bedroom lodge with fireplace, kitchen and pull out bed for the grandkidsIn while we were visiting Big Cedar we decided to look into the time share vacation packages they offeredOur presentation was very professional, conducted by a former attorney who loved the business so much he moved his family to the area and began selling for Bluegreen VacationsWe purchased a charter membership and as promised were given $ in Bass Pro gift cardsWe were also promised a night day return to an off site resort in Oct, Again due to circumstances beyond our control we could not attendThey were gracious enough to reschedule our trip this year and will be going to Branson March 16, 2017, all at their expenseWe will be spending minutes at a "training" meeting to teach us how best to utilize the program. We have read numerous complaints on-line and on the Revdex.com site but in our experience none of the complaint are foundedOur sale Rep Mark Cwas very honest and informative, He wanted more than ever to make sure we understood what we were signingHe provided his personal Cell number to call should we have any questions Several times he made a point that everything was spelled out in the contractIf we had any concerns we needed to ask before signingHe also reiterated several times that the resorts fill quickly due to high demand and must be booked 10- months ahead As of this date everything promised and stated has been very honestWe are very excited about our ownership and look forward to continuing the ownership through our trust to our children when neededI wish I could put my personal info on here to verify all that I have said

Lied to and pressured to buy a vacation package at Wilderness Bluegreen at Big Cedar Resort
On 3/31/My Husband and I had reservations to stay at Big Cedar from a special package we had purchased thru Bass Pro in Branson MissouriOnly condition was we had to attend a minute presentation on SaturdayWe attended and was not planning on buying anything, the presentation turned into hoursWe were pressured and never left alone, we said no multiple times and each time a lower price would be thrown out in front of usThe last time the payments had gone down to per month, so we started asking questions about the Big Cedar Cabins both men assured us times that we could stay in those cabins plus we wouldn't even have to use our pointsWhen buying a property we could stay at a discounted price of 59.00, 69.00, a night our kids could even use it we would just have to come with them to check them in So if we wanted to stay a week we could use our points Monday thr

Bluegreen has misrepresented and blatantly lied about the timeshare and its services and amenitiesIt has used unfair business practices
We contacted Bluegreen weeks after signing the contract about selling it back when we realized what their salespeople said and what we actually bought were two separate thingsAt the sales presentation they said we could resell any time and never told us about a rescission period so we were shocked when they told us we had to contact within daysWe now realize we shouldn't have been, given all the other lies they have told us so far
They conned us at a Bass Pro stand in January by telling us we could have a free stay in Las Vegas if we sat through a 30-minute mandatory presentationWe didn't know they would pass ** from one sales person to the next and pressure us for over hours until you wore us down enough to sign a contracthours
There was also the pressure of how to finance the payment/s and how to purchase the time

Bluegreen vacations sales people promises you the world but lie through their teethThe last rep told us that he could combine mortgages in two mortgages with a lower interest rate and for all our troubles BG would through in point at no costPlus this rep would be our personal travel agent being that we were platinumAs it turns out the point cost me $more a month plus no personal travel agent! What a shamDONT BUY BLUEDGREEN

They use deceptive sales tactics and sell you a product that falls far short of their promisesI should have avoided dealing with this company for sureDo not purchase from these people if you're expecting to get your dream vacations from thisAnd don't listen to their sales pitchYearly dues are high, and usage is not very easy even if you are tens of thousand invested in their programDefinitely one of the worst investments of my lifeThe save your unused points is a joke, I was charged and those expired too! Stay far away from these guys!!!

We were misled from the beginning by their companyWhat we purchased and what we received are two very different things
I and my (then) fiancé, ***, were offered a cruise when we first heard about BluegreenWe were interested in this because we were getting married and neither of us had ever been on a Bahamas cruiseWe took the packet and on May 13, 2016, went to Myrtle Beach, SC to find out about our "free" cruise via BluegreenWe were in a presentation for a timeshare, which only lasted about an hour and halfHowever, after this, we went to a room with lots of cubicles and stayed for about hours! The people there tried persistently to sell us a timeshareDuring all that time, they would not take NO for an answer! We grew hungry and tired from the badgering, but they would not let upWe were over loaded with information to the point where we thought our heads would explode! It was not until we accepted whatever was offered to us that we were released from this horrible

My wife and I took advantage of a three day stay at B/G in Lincoln, NHThe stipulation was, of course, that we attend a two hour presentation /interview with the goal of creating a willingness on our part to become a buyer of their vacation planWe had attended this type of business invitation with two or three other similar companies, and the experience was not pleasant, since these other firms exerted somewhat severe pressure to buy a plan, and most of these past experiences created enough stress to make the deal unpalatable, and the experience painful
Not so with Bluegreen! Their main emphasis toward potential clients is to be truthful, congenial and NOT press the customer to make them buyRather, to attract the clients with plain and simple talk and let them decide, without constant, immediate pressure to do so They did a very good presentation, most of which was delivered and explained very well by a lovely and very knowledgeable and effective young ladyWe were then taken on a full tour of the facilities by a polite young man who also assisted the young lady in explaining the various plans available and the costsI believe the cost examples they presented were fairly accurate, and not low-ended as some competitors are known to do
The facility in Lincoln, NH is clean, roomy and well equipped, and we very much enjoyed our three day stayWe believe that the other Bluegreen facilities are similarly attractiveWe did not, unfortunately, purchase any of their plans, since our mode of vacations and travel does not lend itself to what they offer; however, we were pleasantly surprised and very comfortable with the entire experienceIf Bluegreen's other locations present their plan to potential buyers as well as the Lincoln staff did, I would highly recommend giving them the opportunity to assist finding the vacation plan that is best for you!
