We were given a promotion to stay at a BlueGreen resort over a holiday weekend and we were forced to cancel three weeks before our trip
In January of we attempted to reserve an rv site at Shenandoah Crossing with our friends It was too early to book a reservation but they suggested to do the promo and we could book early with our friends We signed up for the promo which required us to sit through a sales talk I had inquired several times about why our confirmation emails said we were in a cabin when we specifically asked for an RV site They told me to disregard the email and that we were in rv sites with our friends in an rv site right next to us three weeks before memorial weekend I get an email to call and confirm I called and they asked me if I was traveling with anyone I told them that I was They then said that two sites could not be booked on the same dates using the promotion and that one of us had to cancel I explained that I was willing to pay the night

I would like anyone reading this to know just what kind of a company Bluegreen is
My husband was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in January of this year He has had surgery, radiation treatment, imaging, lab work, physician and cancer treatment center visits for the past months The cost of care for this is as expected very expensive and has strictly tightened our family budget and we have had to make some difficult financial decisions this year We have not used the timeshare at all this year due to my husband's physician ordering travel restriction
We did contact Bluegreen this August in an attempt to get help selling We were told that they don't buy back or help sellI was told I had to contact Pinnacle to see if they would be willing to sell the timeshare interests for us The Blugreen rep told me that was the only company we were allowed to use for resale servicesSince researching selling our contract we have come to the realization that there is really no market for it, even through Pinnacle
We are saddened and angered by this as we are at a point where we need all our money and assets to be concentrated on medical costsThis contract has not turned out to be the 'appreciating investment' Bluegreen staff told us it would be
We can't afford to be subject to further mandatory upgrades eitherEvery time we visit we are pulled into presentations and hassled into buying more pointsWhen we refuse, we are treated very rudelyOne lady in TN actually told us we were 'stupid' for not buying at the pricing offered because she was an employee couldn't even get that price
This purchase was expensive and has no resale value and no way outBluegreen are holding us to ransom with a purchase that is not what they said it would be and there is no viable way out of it
We have called and emailed only to be ignored and passed on to the next person who ignores us againOur advice is to stay away from Bluegreen

We are very unhappy with Bluegreen's reservation policy Earlier today I went to make a reservation using points for nights at their Cashier's location during their ultra Red season We have points so that should have been fine But no, they told me that of my 17,points were saved and could only be used in white, blue and red seasons So the bottom line is my saved points can't be used in the ULTRA red season This was never discussed with us (the various seasons within the red season) When I called, I was told they also have leaf red, among other shades of red! I consider this very sketchy business practice and will be contacting an attorney It is a shame as their resorts are nice, but there is a lot of bait and switch going on Who needs that when trying to take a vacation?

I just bought the bluegreen vacation package through basspro shop and I made my plans within days but something has came up an I need to reschedule for a later date and they are going to charge me extra because it is days before we were suppose to goI do not have that money to pay a cancellation fee with days to spare there should be no reason at all that the room can not be booked and paid for before thenThis is a ridiculous way to waste my time and my money that I was saving to take my kids on a vacationI think that if we pay what they say and even pay for the upgrade then we should be able to reschedule within a week of our said vacationThat is the way most places do itVery unhappy customerWish I could just get my money back

Vacation rental program unable to book, policy is "no return"
My wife and I purchased a Bluegreen Vacation package around 11/16/and utilized their financing offerOriginal Loan amount was $11,Loan #XXXXXX

After several attempts to book trips over the past couple years, we have been unsuccessful due to "availability"None of the promotional trips that we were supposed to have received as a bonus to sign on were available to bookThe booking window is limited to a maximum of months out, and they simply fill these too quicklyThey offer an additional months to higher level members that pay more
We were also informed at the time of sale that being a member of this "Traveler Plus" program would mean we could book at other common hotels at discounted ratesWhen attempting to utilize this benefit we found that booking th

Went and signed up for the starter package, My initial payment was made and charged to mea month later I get a letter from Orival Webb saying that they didn't have my payment info on fileI've tried to call times and left message asking for a call back to see what the problem isI have not heard one word back from BluegreenThey then send me a threatening letter that im in "default"How can you charge my card with the info given then claim you dont have my billing info? Anyone reading this I advise you to steer clear of bluegreenThey want to sell you on the idea of a vacation then their customer service is terribleInstead of send threatening letters, pick up the phone and return the message that was left to get the matter resolvedDon`t say you do not have my info when I have a bank statement showing you charged my card

I have been a bluegreen member for 17yearsTimeshares are not for everyoneEvery timeshare sales pitch we have been to which have been several companies, bluegreen included, are high pressure sales, but so are used car salesmanDo your homework and go with the company that you understand the processAsk questions if you do not understandAll of the bluegreen associates have been wonderful to usThey are always willing to help and answer questionsThe resorts are nice and never disappointedAs with any resort yes it is sometimes difficult to get last minute reservations during peak times and peak placesYes there are maintenance fees as with any condo or timeshare (upgrades and maintenance are a necessity)Could I vacation cheaper than what I paid and my maintenance fees, yes but not at the caliber of resorts with similar accommodationsAs for the complaints, no one forced us to purchase and I am sure no one forced them to buy or go on the "free" vacationNothing is free in life you always have to read the fine print and be educated about your purchaseYou cant blame the salesman for doing a good job and getting you to purchase somethingAs for the credit cards taken out and not known it is on the disclosure saying yes or no to credit applicationThere have never been any surprises with our transactions and we have upgraded several times purchasing more time, but we take the time and read what we sign and make sure we understand everything

DON'T DO IT DONT EVER BUY FROM THEM
This a horrible company to work with never buy from them even the sample packet, they preached all about family and spending time with them how can you if you can't never book a roomThe maintenance fees hit you around the holiday times and I was hit with maintenance fees twiceWithin months of each other within the same year first time was $second time $all with 4mths of each otherHow are they able to help you take family vacations and spend time together? If all you doing is pay mortgage and maintenance fees The worst part was during my sell session I was only told about the of not about the percentages not about that I was going to get hit with two maintenance fees within the first year and then, I called to try to talk to someone to see about breaking it up into smaller increments cuz around the holiday time I live in Florida we just got hit with a hurricaneYou know what they tell me oh well sorry! But u can do payments but your maintenance fees are going up because you're going to pay a $installment fee how is that helping the customer when your customer saying okay I want to pay this just need smaller increments so I can make this adjustment for my family easier cuz it's in November you have holidays coming up back-to-back and they say oh well sorry can't help you I would never buy with this company I would never recommend anyone else to buy with this company if anything leave immediately get and run away!

I have been a member since 2013? they started off nice and helpful and before you can leave the building them horns start showing, down hill from thereThe points increased and I wasn't able to book a vacation longer than 2-days, plus everything stayed bookedThere for a while I was paying out of pocket to book a trip with my own vacation resortWe took a family trip to Orlando, Fl and got suckered into buying more point to help us with better availability, will that didn't work because everything was still booked up and the points we needed seemed to increase,regardless of when we wanted to goSo I'm stuck with a timeshare that I can't use unless I want to go somewhere for a day or twoEvery other trip you take they want you to do a review that takes over hoursI called times in one day trying to pay my maintenance fee and was put on hold for over mins so a hung upI feel this was because I didn't want to give them all my info theyI didn't feel the need to tell them everything only to have to be transfered & repeat it again to the correct departmentBluegreen can you buy me out? We bought a timeshare in Las Vegas on July 28, After staying up a good part of the night going over the contract we decided it wasn't right for usIt didn't make financial sense to us as we are paying on other necessary things, like student loansThe next morning we went and face to face told Bluegreen/Second City Resorts we wanted to cancel the purchaseThey cut the payments almost in half and made it difficult to say noSo we went with the revised planWhen we got home and really looked the contract again, we realized what the points were worth wasn't worth the debt and maintenance fees It is testament to the caliber of salesmen they have that we hesitated and agreed to a lesser program when in fact we didn't want the program at allThe salesmen persuaded us against better judgment to keep itWe tried to book the orientation in Branson as instructed by the sales repsWhen we called they transferred us to a different person and we left a messageWe never got a return call and then we decided we wouldn't pursue the matterWe do in fact want this canceledThe sales presentation was long and noisy and had an overload of informationThe signing went very fastThere were a few things we didn't realize until afterThese points were not fully explainedFor instance one of the incentives to sign up that day was free enrollment in the Traveler's Plus ProgramCome to find out the Program was free for the first year and after that there are costs to keep the Program and benefitsNo one mentioned thatFor signing, the sales reps promised us two "free" seven-night stays at any resort and two "free" round trip airline ticketsWe received the couponsWe realized then that there is a fee charged and some resorts are not eligibleThe airline coupons are only for tickets up to a certain price and require a deposit to useThese free things are not free if we have to pay anything towards themThe sales reps told us that we have an every-other-year contract - pointsActually the contract is written as points annually when they explained it was points biannuallyWe only get points a year and if we want to use more (say, the whole 8000) we would have to pay the next year's maintenance fees before using themThey did not go over thisThey didn't explain thisOne of the selling points was to tell us that we could easily resell thisWe were not sure about this deal at all obviously and wanted to know how easy it was to get rid of itThey told us we could get in touch with Pinnacle and pay them $to list itWe did thatPaid the feeNothing happenedExploring the website further we discovered that they have tons of points and timeshares for saleWe knew then ours probably would never sellLesson learned hereThis sale was finalized under misinformation at best and by lies at the worstThere was information hidden from us that we came to find out on our own and if we had been told about that information at the sales presentation we definitely would not have continued with the purchase

I have asked repeatedly to multiple different people to be taken off their call list, and have been lied to only to receive another call in a few days
I paid $toward a vacation years ago, that I ended up not being able to scheduleI didn't ask for refund as it was my fault to not having the time to take it within their guidelinesAfter that they started calling multiple times a week to try and get me to pay for another oneThere are brief periods where the calls stop for a few weeks but they always start againI tried speaking to customer service at least half a dozen times, asking to be removed from their call listSometimes they assured me it was done, sometimes they endlessly transferred me around departments, and twice someone just blatantly hung up on meI stopped picking up calls from their numbersThen the numbers changed into my own area code so now it looks like someone local is calling meWhen I answer they don't even give you the option of speaking to a custom

Told one thing in the sales pitch and then once we tried to use it we could not
We purchased a yearly sampler from Bluegreen after attending a presentationWe told them at the time that we were not interested because we were moving and may not be able to use itThey told us we could always sell the rentals or gift them to someone elseSo, based on that, we bought inWe are not able to use it this year so we decided to gift the rentals to some people in our familyWhen I called to put them on the reservations we were told we could not do thatI spoke with supervisors with multiple numbers I was told to callI had someone from Bluegreen call me and tell me they changed the policy so that we could not gift the stays to anyone else but since we were told that it should be honoredWell they have decided not to honor it or refund our moneyWe were lied to no resolution is in sight

High pressure sales, the presentation was supposed to be minutes but they kept is there over five hoursWe could have walked out but since we were promised a few prizes for just listening were reluctant to do soThe sales staff were nice of course but contradicted themselves several timesThe interest rates are rediculous but they provided a third party option "as reassurance" we can refinance after 30-daysOf course there is no guarantee that will happenThe extra incentives they offered after we were reluctant to commit were already at their disposal, as they redily had certificates pre-printedOverall I should have known better, but that's not to say it's not a good fit for a small percentage of people looking to travel more frequently

This business is a total scam they will tell you that you won a completely paid for vacation and this and that they wont take no for a answer They switch you through two or three different salesman and talk you in to paying 198.00$ reservation fee and tell you that you will get it right back when you get to resort for food voucher We decided to do it , hey free vacations for sounds to good to be true my gut was telling me not to do itWe paid the on debit card then they say let me transfer to the verification department and I was thinking that that should have been done before they took my payment They proceeded to ask if I made 55,a year and I said yes then they ask me if me or my wife have a credit score of or better which they should have ask that before taking my money Me and my wife are establishing our credit I told them no I dont why do you ask that after you take my money Well they got me for my money or got a hold on my money I called my bank and they ask me to call them and get them to fax a letter of cancellation I call them ten times and they keep hanging up on me Now my money is tied up and cant get it the ladies name is Charity ** All I have to say is this lady took money that I didn't have anyway that I could have spent on my children and scammed me into believing her I would not buy a peace of bubble gum from this companyCharity Gray you give this company a bad name Then I go through the net and find a number and finally talk to someone guess what they cant help me eitherScammners

Misrepresentation of truth and fraudulent claims
After acquiring a timeshare contact with BlueGreen we found nearly all the verbal agreements made, of which we were told would be in writing, were grossly misrepresented We were lied to about many aspects of timeshare ownership including the aspect of it being a "Investment" opportunity and that we would "Get Back" all the funds we put in to it They also told us that the timeshare property was real estate and that is would be tax deductible, later I found that is completely false The Staff held us at the presentation for nearly six and a half hours without food other than popcorn, this alone cause our judgement to be altered I had asked for a copy of all handwritten notes, which is nearly all the documentation provided in the talk but was told it would all be in my contract none of it was Our salesman also told us he would even do things that corporate wouldn't be happy with to get us what we need to make the sale He provid

Information received during sales presentation was and bait and switch tactics used to entice purchase
I purchased a timeshare from Bluegreen Corporation March 13, for $and another $on maintenance fees after being lied to also resulting in the opening of a high interest credit cardLater found out that the salesman lied during the presentation about being able to claim interest on the timeshare, being able to take multiple trips to multiple locations at anytime and being able to re-sale the timeshare at a later date I was also offered several "free" offers which were false I have tried for the past few years to take a vacation and have met with no availability which means I have paid over $for a product which I can't use The loan number is XXXXXX Owner # XXXXXX and purchase #XXXXXX I have attempted to resolve this issue on several occasions with this company and met with negative results

Misinformed about what I was being charged for
I paid for a package that was to include three separate trips; day night to Vegas, day night "Getaway Vacation" and 4/5/6/Flex cruiseThe a total came to $398, which I was told would be the $deposit on the "Getaway Vacation" and $deposit on the Flex CruiseOnce I attended the presentation during my day/night trip I received my certificates for the other two tripsI registered online for these trips and was asked to provide a credit card for the deposit amountsI contacted BlueGreen to ask how to provide proof that I had already prepaid these amountsAfter being transferred numerous times, I was informed that the $was only for the day/night tripI was told by *** in the customer experience department that they try to be as transparent as possible and she apologized if anything was miscommunicated but there was nothing further that they could do

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service and substandard accommodations I have received since becoming of new BlueGreen OwnersI initially purchased a great deal on a vacation from Outdoor World for Valentines Day I was excited because my husband and I needed the break and it was certainly an opportunity worth purchasingWe paid about $100/$for nights stay to any location listed on the shirt providedunder condition of course we had to attend an orientation for BlueGreenAfter attending the orientation we would receive a free cruiseOur vacation was great no doubt but I wish it had stopped there
We attended the approximately hours orientation in May The sales representatives were great - just doing there job so well we spent hours between orientation, talking to the sales rep regarding BlueGreen, signing papers to finalize the purchaseDuring our interaction with the representative there were several questions that went unansweredHowever, we were told that once we attended the new owners orientation our representative at that time would give us more detail, explain how the website works, how to be use the vacation deals etc
In making the reservation for the new owner orientation, we found that all were required to attend at the same time - despite the fact we lived in separate statesIt was a bit of a challenge but we made it workOur booking representative Luzviminda Garcia was less than accommodatingI spent over month going back an forth with her trying to get a day and night stay at a location which was suitable for the of usHer overall rating a "0" zeroShe was terrible
We finally get confirmation from another representative, Cara Darnell, via email - out of the blueIt had been weeks since I heard anything from LuzWhen I received the email I contacted her to find out why I was receiving the email from her and not Luz and if they were able to find accommodations suitable for the of usShe was kind enough to explainTwo things I did take note that she stated 1) we would be in a "villa" and that the Ocean Creek Resort was one of the "best resorts" they had
We arrived in July at Ocean Creek ResortFrom the naked eye it appeared to be a descent place - from the outsideWhen we arrived to the -what appeared to be an old apartment complex - we realized 1) we were not lodging in a "villa." On the inside of the bedroom unit, we discovered roaches in various places, the balcony area was not clean, the main bedroom lamp blinked because there was a short in the electrical wire, various ceiling areas showed evidence of leaks, the front bedroom transition strip from the bedroom to the bathroom had partially come up (tripping hazard), the main bathroom had mold along the cabinet doorsVery disappointed but this was one of the "best resorts."
The following day during our alleged "new owner orientation." We all expressed our disappointment with the lodging and requested to be moved to another locationOur request was declinedWe were told, if we have any issues with the location we needed to address it with the resort management, we were also told that the location we were lodging at was NOT a BlueGreen ResortOcean Creek Resort owners will sometimes all BlueGreen owners to lodge at their locations if BlueGreen is unable to find a location for the BlueGreen owner
This so called new owner orientation turned out to be just another ploy to get us to sign up for VIP statusWhat we learned is that unless you are a VIP status owner, you are essentially not have the luxury of convenient booking, availability, etcWe also learned that the representative had no intensions of showing us how to get the best use out of our purchase, how to use the website, how to use the points, etcIn fact, she showed NO interest in our - the customer's needs- rather her own to make a saleAdditionally we learned that those promises made in Las Vegas were just that - emptyThe one representative even made a joke to say what happens in Vegas stayed in VegasShe went on to make another joke to say "I bet you will alway stay at BlueGreen rather than a resort that was booking by our sales department."
After about hours into the alleged orientation some mediocre attempt to silence us about our dissatisfaction about the lodging I was given a form and was told to write a formal complaintJudith advised she would communicate our concerns to the executives and they would reimburse the fees we incurred for the taxesShe also stated that I would receive a call the following weekTo this day no one has reached out to me
I also inquired about why we should have signed up with BlueGreen when in my research I had determined that not only were we limited with the availability for travel; we also were paying more to take advantage of RCI or TravelersPlus booking than if we booked directly(i.ecruises, resorts etc)
