The sales agents were not truthful with meI found out that the fact they told me were a trick to get me to sign the contract
I want to share our experience and how we are still being treated since signing a timeshare contract with Bluegreen ResortWe were told this membership would help us save money and give us open availability for travelInstead, we have incurred outrageous fees for nothingFor quite some time we have been writing to Bluegreen Resorts to request out of the timeshare and membership we were misled intoAlthough we have written letters, all explaining the lies we were sold on, this vacation company has yet to provide us with any substantial help, much less has anyone reached out to help us resolve our issuesThe image portrayed to us was that we'd easily be able to make reservations and that after paying our initial fees, there would be no reason for us to have to pay anything out of pocket beyond thatFalse! There are added/ hidden fees for everythingWe re
I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service and substandard accommodations I have received since becoming of new BlueGreen OwnersI initially purchased a great deal on a vacation from Outdoor World for Valentines Day I was excited because my husband and I needed the break and it was certainly an opportunity worth purchasingWe paid about $100/$for nights stay to any location listed on the shirt providedunder condition of course we had to attend an orientation for BlueGreenAfter attending the orientation we would receive a free cruiseOur vacation was great no doubt but I wish it had stopped there
We attended the approximately hours orientation in May The sales representatives were great - just doing there job so well we spent hours between orientation, talking to the sales rep regarding BlueGreen, signing papers to finalize the purchaseDuring our interaction with the representative there were several questions that went unansweredHowever, we were told that once we attended the new owners orientation our representative at that time would give us more detail, explain how the website works, how to be use the vacation deals etc
In making the reservation for the new owner orientation, we found that all were required to attend at the same time - despite the fact we lived in separate statesIt was a bit of a challenge but we made it workOur booking representative Luzviminda Garcia was less than accommodatingI spent over month going back an forth with her trying to get a day and night stay at a location which was suitable for the of usHer overall rating a "0" zeroShe was terrible
We finally get confirmation from another representative, Cara Darnell, via email - out of the blueIt had been weeks since I heard anything from LuzWhen I received the email I contacted her to find out why I was receiving the email from her and not Luz and if they were able to find accommodations suitable for the of usShe was kind enough to explainTwo things I did take note that she stated 1) we would be in a "villa" and that the Ocean Creek Resort was one of the "best resorts" they had
We arrived in July at Ocean Creek ResortFrom the naked eye it appeared to be a descent place - from the outsideWhen we arrived to the -what appeared to be an old apartment complex - we realized 1) we were not lodging in a "villa." On the inside of the bedroom unit, we discovered roaches in various places, the balcony area was not clean, the main bedroom lamp blinked because there was a short in the electrical wire, various ceiling areas showed evidence of leaks, the front bedroom transition strip from the bedroom to the bathroom had partially come up (tripping hazard), the main bathroom had mold along the cabinet doorsVery disappointed but this was one of the "best resorts."
The following day during our alleged "new owner orientation." We all expressed our disappointment with the lodging and requested to be moved to another locationOur request was declinedWe were told, if we have any issues with the location we needed to address it with the resort management, we were also told that the location we were lodging at was NOT a BlueGreen ResortOcean Creek Resort owners will sometimes all BlueGreen owners to lodge at their locations if BlueGreen is unable to find a location for the BlueGreen owner
This so called new owner orientation turned out to be just another ploy to get us to sign up for VIP statusWhat we learned is that unless you are a VIP status owner, you are essentially not have the luxury of convenient booking, availability, etcWe also learned that the representative had no intensions of showing us how to get the best use out of our purchase, how to use the website, how to use the points, etcIn fact, she showed NO interest in our - the customer's needs- rather her own to make a saleAdditionally we learned that those promises made in Las Vegas were just that - emptyThe one representative even made a joke to say what happens in Vegas stayed in VegasShe went on to make another joke to say "I bet you will alway stay at BlueGreen rather than a resort that was booking by our sales department."
After about hours into the alleged orientation some mediocre attempt to silence us about our dissatisfaction about the lodging I was given a form and was told to write a formal complaintJudith advised she would communicate our concerns to the executives and they would reimburse the fees we incurred for the taxesShe also stated that I would receive a call the following weekTo this day no one has reached out to me
I also inquired about why we should have signed up with BlueGreen when in my research I had determined that not only were we limited with the availability for travel; we also were paying more to take advantage of RCI or TravelersPlus booking than if we booked directly(i.ecruises, resorts etc)
Bluegreen reps put me under great pressure to buy this timeshareHowever, it does not work the way that they described
We originally went into the resort planning on not buying anything and we also said no multiple times to the repsThey made it sound like a good deal and kept throwing more and more things into the deal, but we also felt really pressured into buyingThey made it sound like we would be stupid not toThere was also the fact that they threatened we would have to pay for our room and we would also not get our gift card if we left too earlyThe reps had told us that the presentation would be minutes, but in all, it was hoursThey lied to us
At a later "customer review," another rep was trying to get us to annualize our pointsI told him I don't want any more of this, and I would just like to get out of it if I couldHe just laughed this offBluegreen staff had also lied about this review when they said that we had a free stay to show us how to use the p
The vacation property that my wife and I purchased was renovated reducing our vacation experience and property value
My wife and I purchased a chalet at the Mountain Loft resort , a Bluegreen property, in We have enjoyed vacationing there every year until We arrived in July as we do every year to find that our timeshare had been converted into a handicapped chalet during the most recent capital improvements that I had paid for with an additional $charge to my annual maintenance feeWe were not notified of the change at allWe found out when we entered the chaletThese changes have reduced our annual experience and it has reduced the value of the property that we purchasedWe met with several Bluegreen employees that week and were told to speak with the Director of Customer Service to resolve this issueOur calls have not been returned. We suggested that Bluegreen/Mountain Loft provide us with a non-handicap chalet for future stays We were originally told that
I was lied too and given deceitful information from both the manager and the sales representativeI was told it is not hard to cancel membership
December 29, I went for a so called free review of their vacation club/timeshare presentationI informed the sales rep and the manager that I would purchase the timeshare after I go to settlement because this can't show up on my credit report prior to settlementBoth of them stated that they only use the credit report to approve individuals but this will not show up on my credit report at allI also asked if I am not happy or have issues how do I cancelI was told to just call their number and I would be charged $and my membership will be canceledAll of this was a lieI sent a notarized letter to cancel my membership and was told it was outside of the allotted time and it was nothing they can doI called the number to see if I can get help that way and was told I can pay $and they would buy the vacation property back
This company does nothing but lie to get you to sign on the bottom line then when you try to hold them to the lies they simply say the salesman should not have told you that they do nothing to correct the problem they do nothing honor their promise they just put it all on you
Bluegreen's staff deceived us in every aspect of this purchaseTheir most egregious act was the boldface lies that prevented us from cancelling
Early last year, we were enticed to attend a sales presentation at the World of Golf in StAugustine with *** *** gift cards and a promotional vacation Although we stated that we were not interested and could not afford a luxury purchase, Bluegreen's sales staff doggedly pursued the sale Eventually, we acquiesced and purchased; only to later learn that most of what we had been told was either an exaggeration or an outright fabrication
For the next two days after signing, I told them that I was not happy with the purchase and I did not want it I was told "sorry" and that all sales are final Since the sales team never mentioned anything about cancelling, I was not aware of my ability to cancel without cause We did not learn about the rescission period until it was too late to exercise my right to cancel So, after they lied to
Was told the upgrade was a flat fee of 80$When tried to book they wanted 60$ a night at a cheaper resortAlso told fees would be around 5$ a nightWhen looking to book it was 20$ a nightLuckily we found out in our window and got a refundBe careful with this company
To Whom It May Concern,
My trust has been 100% betrayed by Blue GreenBlue Green intentionally deceived and mislead me into thinking that buying a time share was a good investmentI feel that I have been taken advantage of and I am sternly demanding to be released from the four time share contracts that I have with Blue Green and to be fully refunded, at least $45,dollars
December 6, 2005, was the initial purchaseI received a phone call offering a free day stay if I went to a Blue Green presentationThe presentation lasted hoursThey showed me a unit at Laurel Crest in Pigeon Forge, TNPBeasley talked about how good of an investment a time share is and how many places I could go on vacationsWhen I seemed reluctant to what they were saying, they brought in another representative to convince me that I was getting a good dealTo finish the process off, they gave me free passes to different attractions
July 1, at Sea Breeze in Daytona, Bengino HRosario told
Blue green lied and sold something they don't actually offerEvery time we complain they never help resolve anythingWe have to deal with it
They originally sold us points we couldn't actually book anything with the points they said would be enough for a dream vacationThen when we do find a place to go that we could use our points we find out it's constantly bookedIn order to use this rip off of a company we have to book what and when is available and then adjust our vacation around thatAnother thing they lie about is "their" resorts aren't actually theirs so they only have limited number of rooms a blue green owner can book, so they will tell you it's all booked up and then call back as a regular consumer and book the same room just not as a bluegreen ownerVery deceptive companyThe other lie they sell is you can sell your time share at anytime and maybe even make money the guy told us, we'll that's another lie, and Bluegreen will not assist you in any way through this p
On 3/3/I purchased a vacation via Bass Pro Shops6/21/I was told I no longer qualifyAccount# XXXXXXXXTravel date 7/9/
I was convinced to buy a trip when I was at Bass Pro ShopI meet all the qualifications and they went over them with meI paid my money and received my confirmation letterI received a phone call and they went over qualifications with me and told me everything was set and I was arriving on 7/6/Today I called just to find out when my preview would be on the 10thI was told I needed to answer all the questions againI was asked if I was Single, Married or living with a partnerI stated partner because I was going to have a roommate as of today, 6/21/
It was never stated to me that they were referring to a significant other or romantic partnerI was then told I no longer qualified for this vacationI was confused and tried to explain to the woman that I didn't mean that I had a romantic partnerIt was a roommate and if that was a problem
Upon purchasing a vacation package I was told once I received info if I decided not to use the package I could refund the package for the total amount
My wife and I purchased a vacation package from Bluegreen Vacations on October 17, There was a stipulation for having to sit through a time share demo to receive the discounted priceBefore agreeing we were told that once we received the vacation package information and receipt, if we decided not to use this package we would be refunded the total amountHowever, we never received a physical copy of the package info or receiptThe vacation had slipped our minds until a few days ago when we realized after going through financial information that we had purchased this packageAfter which, I contacted the company on 3/7/and spoke with *** who was very cordial and professional*** informed me that regardless if I hadn't received a copy in the mail and wasn't planning to use the vacation that I would not receive a refund d
I was shocked to see negative reviews about this company I have been to several of their resorts and have found them for the most part to be excellent and an amazing value for our families annual vacations
This company scammed us in the grossest wayWe even wrote them a letter back in April to explain everything, and they think, after one email from someone named *** from "Customer Care Management," we should be satisfied??
We were lied to about every aspect of the "deal" they made for usThey led us to believe that we would be able to book at any resort with the amount of points they eventually talked us into purchasing and that the maintenance fees for our ownership would be reasonableWell, let me tell you, they are NOT reasonable, and we have NOT been able to book at the resorts we want
We made our first purchase (unfortunately) and then were invited back two months later to "learn" how to use our timeshare, but it just turned out to be another sales pitchThey told us we would need more points to be able to "book sooner" than other owners it's just all such a lie and a TRAP
We would never recommend this company to anyone - not even our worst enemies!
They act like they are trying to help people spend more quality time with their loved ones and that they're selling the "dream" of a lifetime of vacations for families nothing could be further from the truthBecause of the lies and deceit we have experienced from this company, we no longer feel confident that we will be able to go on a vacation family ever againAnd that's not even me being dramatic aboutWe are devastated
It has been WEEKS now, and *** has not returned any of our callsWe are STILL trying to get this settled, but Bluegreen has ZERO intention or willingness to speak with usWhat a GREAT company focused around family and opportunity!
This company used lies and information to make a sale
The company sold package under the understanding free use of the properties was available and that was falseEven have a preplanned year plan hand written by the supervisorIt is all proved to be a lieI purchased this on 10/14/Only days ago and they refuse to cancel the contract
So far my experience has been a nightmare and we haven't even left for our initial getawayDuring the initial high pressure sales pitch I was told this was an upscale vacation club We were offered a three day getaway and have learned that the accommodations offered on the getaway are all basically star flea bag motels that we would never consider staying in We were planning on using this trip as an anniversary getaway and are very disappointed I spoke with a customer service manager after I responded negatively to a survey and she promised she was going to work on getting us better accommodations She promised she would call me back It's been several weeks, no call I've just called her back and there's still "no response" regarding our request for an upgrade from the resort What a joke!
Application for Bluegreen credit card not sent through to Barclays and Bluegreen has not updated me on why or what happened with my personal details
April 22, 2018: my husband and I purchased a Bluegreen Vacations package at The Fountains sales office, Orlando, FLThe sales associate, *** and manager, *** *** offered a Bluegreen credit cardI signed up for that on site and was assured that I will receive the card within 7-working daysMay 22, still no card and I rang Barclays (the credit card provider for Bluegreen) to check on my application status but there was no such record in their systemI rang *** on the same day to check on what happened with my application and he has yet to contact me backI rang them again on May and May but still failed to get an answerJune 1, another manager, ***, assured me he will find out what happened and call me back but he did notI left a voice message with my mobile number again that evening for either *** or ***
In late September, I was booking a room with a Choice Hotel in Sevierville, TNand was transferred to a Blue Green Vacations representative The rep told me I could save money by booking my vacation with them I told him I needed a handicapped room which he said, would not be a problem I gave him my credit card number and figured all was good A couple weeks later my learned my father my need surgery during the time I was scheduled to go so, I called to cancel the trip The person I talked to said the trip is good until October 18th My father's health has not changed so I called after October 18th to see if I could get my money back I was told at that timeshe had no idea where the October 18th date came from; however, the money was not refundable This the first time I heard they would keep my money no matter what I was also told, I would be getting a call from someone to tell me where we would be staying I got a call; however, the person said, I needed to go to their welcome center before I got my room This organization is not trustworthy, has done nothing for me and is keeping my money! I am very disappointed with the process and will never have any dealings with them again
I find issue with the grey area in which BlueGreen operates that makes getting out of the lease near impossible
My Wife and I purchased 10,points through BlueGreen in October of Like many others, we were sold during the splendid show the sales representative put on while showing us all the potential vacations we could enjoy, and our kids could enjoy years from now, if we were to "invest" and purchase points with BlueGreenLike countless others, it wasn't until we tried to book vacations for ourselves that we realized that what we thought we were going to be able to do with what we purchased is not what we are actually able to do
We expressed a great deal of interest in using our points for camping, which our sales representative agreed would work out in our favor; though, that proved to be falseBooking a vacation anywhere is a great hassle, even if you try to book months in advanceThe funny thing is, and I have done this a number of times, the location will show
I am extremely let down by Bluegreen My husband and I sat through a Bluegreen Vacations time share pitch back in July at Christmas Mountain Wisconsin Dells We were told upfront that the presentation was not going to be high pressure sales and if we told our sales representative we were not interested in the membership with Bluegreen the conversation would end and we could go This was not the case After a full presentation done by a Bluegreen representative, we were sat down with an individual sales representative who gave us all our options and how to buy into a Bluegreen membership My husband and I listened to all the options but in the end we were not in a position to purchase a membership to Bluegreen Our sales representative who was very nice presented several more options for us at lower rates to get us to buy into Bluegreen My husband and I did decline all the offers but we both felt very pressured to purchase the membership with Bluegreen that day and between the background presentation on the Bluegreen company and then sitting with a sales representative, our entire Saturday was gone
However, this is not the leading reason for giving a star review After our whole day of presentation, tour of Christmas Mountain and sitting with the sales representative with Bluegreen membership, we were provided packet of coupons and deals for coming and listening to the presentation My husband and I were excited when we saw we were given an day night condominium certificate and a day night vacation getaway I asked our representative if we had to do anything additional for the vacation certificates and we were told several times upon receiving this packet that all coupons are good for year We did not have to put any money down to keep them and if we did not use the travel certificates within the year there was no penalty My husband and I were thinking of using one of these certificates in the near future so I went to my packet of information to review the certificates When I went to look at our locations options, I noticed that the day night certificate required us to pay a $non-refundable processing fee within days of receiving the certificate in order to keep it valid Also, the day night required registration for that in days an also another $processing fee I called the company that validates the coupons (gocrv) and they said they needed to be registered within the allotted time to be valid and to take up any concerns with who presented us the coupons I then called Bluegreen Christmas Mountain and was directed to a customer service person with Bluegreen who said she is very sorry there is nothing they can do if we did not register the certificates I tired to explain to her several times we were told at the presentation with Bluegreen that we did not have to put any money down upfront to keep the certificates valid and all we needed to do was use them within a year She apologized again and said if the company who validates the certificates (gocrv) would not validated them there was nothing they could do Overall, Bluegreen people are friendly but are not helpful I am extremely let down and feel Bluegreen is all about high pressure sales and will do or say anything to get people to purchase the membership
The sales agents were not truthful with meI found out that the fact they told me were a trick to get me to sign the contract
