Horrible ripoff scam to take advantage of people

I booked a vacation through a stand Bluegreen had at a Bass Pro Shops in North Carolina
The sales person promised me $in gift cards if I paid for the vacation "right now" on the spot He showed me the resorts they partner with which appealed to me so I did pay on the spot After I paid, I was then told I (only me) would have to listen to a hour long time share pitch in order to get the $gift card
booked my vacation and then was told to go South Mountain resort which is the only listing referenced on their website and the only resort I was shown during my purchase when I went to check in at South Mountain resort, I was told to leave and check in ata hotel called "The Mountain Club on Loon" which is I was not told would happen until my arrival This hotel is much more dated and nothing like "South Mountan Resort" Had I of known I would be staying at Loon Mountain Club, I would not have driven the hours I did for a weekend getaway
Then when I went to the timeshare pitch, I was told that my girlfriend who I live with must attend also This was not told to me until I arrived at the pitch Then after arriving at the pitch, they told me I was disqualified due to a credit scoreI was never made aware of a credit score requirement until I arrived They told me this would disqualify me for the discounted daily rate and the gift I was promised
From the initial sales person I bought the trip from, to the Bluegreen employees I dealt with at a corporate level, I have never dealt with a more deceitful company
I would strongly advise anyone against doing any form of business with them

Blatant misrepresentation of the product offered
In October 2012, we attended a presentation at Bluegreen Resorts in Pigeon Forge, TNWe were advised that the purchase of 5,points would be a good starting point for one week per year usage and with our points could go anywhere in the world and weren't limited to a certain time of year or week
We paid $10,for the 5,pointsWe were advised that we could roll the points over from year to yearWe were advised that we could make reservations as far as days priorAll of which are accusationsWe were advised that the points could easily be resold due to the high demand of Bluegreen points and we could resell and get what we paid or more for the points
Due to health reasons I've been unable to travel and we have needed to roll over our points and were advised that only one year could be banked upUpon making our first reservation we were advised since we only have 5,points we rarely can make a reservat

We have been owners since and we love itWe knew the process and expectations that we signed up for as they were clearly stated during the presentationWe have traveled to many locations some close to home and some farther awayWhat I find amazing is people criticizing Bluegreen when it is the consumer's responsibility to know what they are signing up for

I don't feel that Bluegreen Corporation & Resorts are anything like the picture they were trying to paint when they wanted our money for their "we're not a business business." That's the only thing they are, a business, and they are pretty terrible at their business Once in, there is no way of getting out of it, and there's no way that Bluegreen will help you in any way A terrible foundation, terrible, customer service, and a terrible way of luring innocent people into their web of misinformation and lack of all humanity

I was stopped by a Bluegreen sales representative while outlet shopping in Myrtle Beach, South CarolinaI was offered a deal in which I'd receive a night vacation, and a carnival cruise voucher so long as I attended a time share presentation on the second day of my vacationWhen I arrived for my night vacation, they arranged for me to stay at a hotelThe hotel smelled moldy, there were stains the the bathtub, and roaches throughout the room and bathroomI called Bluegreen to say that the room was unacceptable and they arranged for me to move to another locationAt this point it was 1:amAround 9:am, we were told that we could not stay at the second location for our remaining two nights because it was completely bookedI thus returned to the Bluegreen welcome center and waited more than an hour for them to find me yet another placeThey eventually did, and I moved my family to the third place (we moved three places in about hours)The next day I attended the presentationIn making general conversation with my assigned sales representative, I mentioned I was a law student who worked during the summer, and was honest in disclosing that I would not likely be buying a timeshare due to the negative experience I had with Bluegreen thus farApparently, my discussion about being a student made him suspicious that I did not meet the $50,income requirement to receive the deal that I did (the night stay and carvival voucher for $120) and brought me a sheet asking me to detail my income claiming that every now and then they had to "audit" their attendeesNo other participant was being audited however, and I suspected this was being done to me because I had been clear that I was not buying and the sales guy needed an excuse for not making the saleI nonetheless complied however and reported that I received $50,in student loans and scholarships plus $30,from summer work per yearSoon afterwards I was called to the front desk and told that I could not receive the cruise voucher because my student money could not count towards my $50,income minimum, though they acted as though they were doing me some sort of favor by "allowing" me to remain in the hotel I was checked intoI told them that I was never told that student loan income could not be considered and that I made it clear upon signing up that I was a student and was never told it was a problemConsidering the continuous inconveniences I endured in having to move three times, and the fact that I was not informed that student loans were considered in the income policy and had driven all the way to Myrtle Beach, I maintained that I should still receive the cruise voucher, though eventually acquiesced to merely receiving a refund of the $I paid insteadHowever, they refused to give me either and acted as if it was my fault for coming despite having student loan income, and took no responsibility for their failure to communicate the specifics of their income policyThey also showed no sympathy for the disgusting hotel they placed me in and the inconveniences I experienced because of themThis company operates on dishonesty, deceit, and non-disclosure and I say that based not only on my own experience, but several times in Myrtle Beach I mentioned I was in town through Bluegreen and the person I was speaking to grimaced- their poor reputation obviously proceeds themThis is apparent too through the number of negative reviews they have here on the Revdex.com website, so despite the form response they give to all of their negative feedback, they care nothing about their reputation for dishonesty if they did, they would have been clear and upfront about their policies and not merely try to enforce them only when it became obvious that they were not making a saleA company specializing in vacations should also not offer accommodations such as the first room I was assignedEverything about my experience with Bluegreen was frustrating and unacceptable and thus I have made it a priority to share my negative experience on any and all platforms that I am able

BLUEGREEN VACATIONS UNLIMITED, INC., BOCA RATON, FL
I had no intentions of purchasing a Bluegreen Vacation Membership, because I had horrible experiences with my prior time-shareI learned ALL the things I hated about my prior time-share do not exist with a Bluegreen Membership...We just got back from our 4-day Carnival Cruise we got just for going to the presentation, and it was INCREDIBLE!!! We booked our first points stay in Saint Petersburg, FL, and between the two, it has been our BEST VACATIONS BY FAR!!! I am sooooo GLAD WE BOUGHT A BLUEGREEN MEMBERSHIP!!!

BE WARNED!!! So far I have not taken my trip with them but my credit card put me on the phone with them to get this FREE trip for dollarsAfter booking they say it only requires a hours presentation attendanceI am now booking and they say that taxes and fees are chargedSo NOT FREE I have the chance to UPGRADE to their specific resort instead of a partner hotelIf I do that its dollars a night instead of the dollars a night in taxes and fees at a partner hotelBUT WAIT THERES MOREThey will take 5-days!!!!!! to get a response from the partner hotels AND the taxes and fees can go up or downI also have to cancel at least days in advance or I get a dollar cancellation fee or a dollar no-show feeBy the time they give me my response, I will be in the day window I am considering calling my credit card and having them stop this payment and any future charges from this company because of the deception, traps and complete B.Sabout taking a week to discover if the hotels have any rooms available
I have a very ugly feeling dealing with this type of business that traps you instead of trying to earn your patronage
So either I've paid dollars for NOTHING if I choose not to goOr I'm paying for nights and a mandatory hour meeting, which is not a deal in any wayI don't see why I wouldn't cancel this because I'm walking into a room of people who have already tricked me into spending and threatening me with cancellation fees and tell lies about 5-days to discover if a hotel has an open room

Below you will see details in which *** and *** *** were bullied, pressured, bribed, took advantage of, lied to, held against their will, withheld from food for hours, and manipulated by Bluegreen Vacation/Timeshare employees on not one, but TWO different occasions
In Sept of 2015, at the Nascar Race in Charlotte, NC my husband was approached by *** ***, Bluegreen Getaways Representative regarding a "Free $Visa Reward Card and a free Hotel stay anytime, anywhere." Of course, my husband came home excited and handed me the Bluegreen Getaways Book, who doesn't like free right? I put the thick Bluegreen

We purchased a Vacation package, did not want the package and asked for a refundWe were told we would receive our money back, we have heard nothing
July 6th: We were contacted about a Vacation package by a Marketing member of Bluegreen VacationsWe were not 100% sure we wanted the vacation package, but they informed us that we could take days to make up our mindsI asked if they could give us a call back the next day, but they informed us the package was only good for the time we were on the phoneWe purchased the Vacation package for $
July 11th: We made up our minds and decided not to get the Vacation PackageI called the phone number they provided and the customer representative told me that I would need to call their marketing department and ask the for the refundHe informed me that I would not need to send a written letterI would only have to verbally inform them that I want my money refunded as we are no longer interested in keeping the Vacation Package

Sales Person and Sales Manager promised that we could sell back our plan to Bluegreen at any timeWhen we tried they have no ability to do it
At the time of purchase our sales person, Kasey ***, and his Boss, promised that we could sell back the vacation plan we purchased at any time minus a $processing feeWe vrebally confirmed this with their contracts lady,Lauri, prior to signing any documents, she validated it so we signedAfter not enjoying their sales tactics and having an underwhelming vacation at one of their top locations, we contacted them to sell back the program and get our money backTheir Owner Services Group state that no repurchase plan and we would have to go through a third party to resell the vacation plan with no assurance of getting our money backThe sales person and manager stated that they buy back the points and end up selling them at a higher price since the cost of points keeps risingAgain, owner services denies any plans and refuses to let us

I purchased a vacation package set to arrive today 7/21/I have no room conformationwhat am my children and I to do?
I purchased a vacation package from you set to arrive today 7/21/As of right now I still have no room assignmentI'm very disappointed with this company, I feel as if I was cheated for my moneyTo set it off, if I did not call I would have driven over hours and arrived with my children in tow and had no roomMy children are crying, disappointed, and sadI want this situation fixed, or I want every dime of my dollars back

VERY VERY pleased with the package I purchasedI have enough points to go during the week & unlimited bonus time to use on the weekends

Our family hadn't taken a vacation in yearsWe booked our rooms in February of 2018, we had two rooms that could house people and an person villa (there was of us traveling from Texas to Arizona plus a service dog)days prior to our departure we found out that our person villa had been cancelled and the money refunded to our account with NO NOTICE, not a phone call or an emailMy parents were interested in buying a timeshare and they lost a customerWe called everyone including corporate who told us they had corrected the issueCome to find out the next morning when we had left nothing had been donePart of our party had to stay minutes away in a Comfort InnMy mom spent hours on the phone with people that could have seemed to cared less about putting us outWe have chronically ill children and once again when we brought this up we felt all parties were indifferent to our situationThey did allow for the separated group to have access to the resortFor the most part the resort staff was greatWhen the presentation came around and they asked my parents about their stay, my dad let them know what had happened with our reservations and it seemed like they gave him his gift card and herded him outI guess they didn't want people to hear the debacle and ruin their chances of getting new ownersOne staff member did tell my sister that we were piggy backing off of my parents, not only was that percevied RUDE but we were all staying as a groupMy parents were told at the meeting corporate would be contacting them in a day or soThey didn't reach out until days laterWhen my parents told them what had happened their solution to their MESS UP was for my parents to buy in and they would match pointsWe didn't get anything for the stress and difficulty they put us throughNot even a spa, drink or food discount NADA! We will NEVER book with any of company affiliated with this group, not Bluegreen Vacations or Cibola Vista againAfter speaking with others at the resort this isn't the first time people with Bluegreen have been treated this way

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! This company is nothing but smoke and mirrorsThey make everything sound nice and enjoyable....IT'S NOT! If you get with the sales team in Tennessee request someone else if they give you a lady Sam or Jim, they play a good game and fill you with lies; then by the time you figure the lies out your days are up and they have you lock into a life of miseryI have begged to get out of this without any luck yet

We purchased a timeshare plan with Bluegreen Vacations back in We had a fixed week and were somewhat happy with it
Then, we were "introduced" to the new points-system Bluegreen changed to, and disappointment came quickly afterwardsWe were seldom able to book at the resorts we wanted, even though we were "assured" this new points-system would allow us to experience more resorts and more opportunities to vacationIt is an extremely flawed system that does not deliver the assurances that the salespeople state just to get you to agree and sign
We were told our fixed week was only worth 8,points and that people would need to have a minimum of 10,for the new systemWe were presented with the "deal of the century" to purchase 4,points for approx$2.00/pointThe salesperson said everyone else was being charged $3.19/point, etcIt was a lot of numbers that didn't mean anything to us because we had, had our fixed week for long and had not experienced issues with it over many years but the salesperson basically told us that we would not have any luck with thetimeshare anymore, unless we purchased more and bought into the new system
So, we didWhat happened, though, was extremely disappointingWe had been owners for so long yet we were put at the bottom of the barrel with everyone else "new" coming into Bluegreen through the new systemTalk about off-putting!
We feel devalued and taken advantage of by this companyWe have been nothing but loyal and faithful to this company, but they obviously care more about money over that
In hindsight, we should have never had to buy more to make the timeshare work for usWe were already long-time owners with a "plan" that worked for us! Bluegreen decided to make changes, and those changes have had nothing but negative effects on us, and many others, as we have read
This company has lost all its credibility and value to usWe would NOT recommend this company to ANYONE and urge people to steer clear of its sneaky salespeople and their manipulative sales tactics!

My husband and I brought at Bluegreen in Should have known betterOn Atil 10'my husband passed away from a massive heart attackMy granddaughter name was on as an owner; she asked me to remove her nameSo yesterday 1/29/I went online to do so.I spoke to someone there she said the had the death certificate I mailed in so to do the two at onceI used my credit card and paid the Today I got an e mail saying I needed to file again and pay another to remove his name.I was shocked we did not divorce; he passed awayEverywhere else I used his death certificate to have his name removed; but not BluegreenIt is bad enough to lose a loved one but to have to pay a outrageous fee to remove his name
That is the biggest rip off I have ever heard of

Bluegreen sales repspromised us great vacation deals, but these are almost never availableAlso, they admitted they lied to us about it
When we first went for a sales presentation, the sales repshad said that it would last minutesThen they made it last five hours, trying and succeeding in closing usSo ok, now we were timeshare owners and we were excited to attend a day new owners' orientation in Wisconsin Dells because we wanted to know about all the new things we could do with this membershipUpon arriving, we were pre-checked in and then told to come back in a few hoursWhen we returned, the receptionist could not find our check in informationAfter sitting in reception for an hour and a half, they finally found us a roomSo, even at our owner orientation, we got the impression that Bluegreen considered us as just a number, rather than as an owner
Lo and behold, almost the first thing that they told us at the orientation was that our original purchase was "not

I have had nothing but a positive experience with this company My family loves our ownershipEven in the times we have had obstacles they have been nothing but accommodating

Company engaged in bait and switch practices
On XXXXXXXX we purchased a packageOn XXXXXXXX, I called to book a night, bedroom reservation for the the location of Wilderness Club @ Big Cedar (I was specific with the agent the accommodations I wanted and the exact location)When I received my confirmation in the mail in indicated the location was for another property (NOT WHAT I HAD BOOKED)I contacted the vacation specialist on XXXXXXXX and informed them the location they put me at was not correct The agent told me "the property we booked you at is right next door to what you wanted" I informed the agent "I do not want the other property"She then informed me the location I was told about when I bought the package had NO availability for my bedroom request and no availability for the year to use the packageThis is CLEARLY a bait and switch scam
