This company attempted to scam me out of money by lying about a trip that they said that I won
I received a phone call from this business (*** *** XXX-XXX-XXXX ***) that said that I had won a prize after an entry in a local sweepstakes at our mallI explained that I wanted to ensure that I had actually won something and that he was not trying to sell something as it was dinner time and I was trying to feed my childHe assured me that I had won bad just needed to be provided with detailsHe proceeded to tell me about the details of the vacation package and then said that I would need to sit through a presentation about a timeshareI explained that this was okay, as I am familiar with this processHe continued to talk about what I had won and I explained that I really needed to wrap up the phone callHe said that he would complete he call and said that I needed to agree to pay $if I wanted to accept the tripI said that he had specifically told me that I would not
I commend and envy the people who only a had bad experience at booking stinky hotels, or dealt with rude people, and were able to walk away from signing on anyone's dotted line But every time I look at my bank account and see two to three different payments taken out every month, I want to cry Yes when you go to some of the presentations they are nice, sucking you in by telling you sob stories about how they became owners and they places they have been, telling you that you came in on a referral from a "gold" member so you have the option of getting a great deal also....I'm sure many of you have heard it allI thought this would be a way to make my husband and I take time off and take trips together Yes I was dragged in under the spell of getting all the perks, bells and whistle, but when I got home and time past, reality kicked in Have you ever noticed that to hours someone calls you to get a review of your visit? Well because they realize that if they waited 30+ days they would get the real truth On my second visit (yes I was stupid enough to return-I felt obligated) I was told I could add more points for a small amount and my monthly payment would be way under $a month....did I forget to tell you they found extra money for me to put down? Oh yeah, I received an $11,credit card (they took $9500)Let's not forget them telling me I MIGHT receive some information from some credit union that they refer people to that will assist in lowering any interest amount of my loan No what they did was sign me up for the credit union without my verbal consent So as I just recently got off the phone with the $11,credit card company because I can't afford the now 29.9% interest at almost $a month payment, plus TWO separate payments from BlueGreen on top of yearly maintenance fees....I continue to cry and beat myself up for my foolishness for thinking that this was a dream come true..it has been a total nightmareRun while you still can!
I pay the maintenance fee about $for time-share, it is very dificult to find a reservationfor years now I did not get any vacation with them
I have been with this company since 2008, it started with a deception of the sales person who told us there is a $ maintenanc fee, that you can cancel $each time you visit a resort and give a feed backat that time I used to live in Myrtle Beach, so times a year to stop at any resort was easy to dofor our surprise, when we went to give a first feed back for the maintenanc fee, they told us it was cancelled , then by time we discovered it was a big lie from the sales personto enjoy our vaction we stareted paying it, it was incresed to be about $nowevery year we keep searching for availabe resort, it was always hardwe took what was availabe anywhere to use our points.for the points we have, it was a nightsconsidering what we pay for the maintenanc fee, we were able to get a better vaction for less th
I have been a Bluegreen owner since and I have had so many great vacation experiences with this company I have upgraded my points several times over the years and in one instance changed my mind about a purchase, canceling it in the proper time (in the correct manner) and received my money back with no problem
I have been to a lot of the Bluegreen Resorts and they are all excellently maintained, staffed with very pleasant and competent personnel Have I ever experienced a problem? Yes, I have and it was ALWAYS taken care of to my satisfaction and then some
Talking with other guests at the resorts, it is amazing how many of them do not begin to understand how to use their ownership to their advantage, even though there are tutorials and meetings to answer their questionsIt takes some planning and research to get to certain resorts as the more popular locations fill up quickly I have talked with guests who have "Buyer's Remorse" and found that in most cases the problem generated from not knowing how to effectively use the club and listening to disgruntled people
I have found that Bluegreen provides great vacation opportunities at a very reasonable price
lying sales reps w/many misreps re: rental, resale, refinance, & buyback...lied about how the product works..it has caused us great financial hardship
Our first meeting with Bluegreen Corporation was in March We went to the meeting, which lasted most of the day We were promised it was only min or less but when we asked to leave several times we were told they weren't finished We were told about how great owning the timeshare is and all the great trips you can take We were also told several lies
Before we attended the meeting, we had already talked about how we are not going to spend any money on timeshare since we are young, unmarried and don't have a home of our own to live We kept saying no that we did not want to sign up, but they just kept high-pressure selling and telling us how great it was to own and that this was a great financial investment that would help our credit for the future We didn't agree with them but they would not listen to us They just
We attended a Bluegreen Vacations presentation on April 4, 2018, in StAugustine, FloridaWe were offered a 20,point program for a cost of a bit over $40,with down payment of around $8,We explained we don't have over $8,at this time so are there other programs availableThey presented us with a 6,point program that sold for $8,but they wanted the entire amount paid in fullThey refused to offer us something like $down payment and then we make payments until paid offThey simply told us they are not interested in our business and sent us out the doorOur friend, who also attended a Bluegreen Vacations presentation was initially offered the 20,point program for over $41,with a down payment of around $8,She told them she doesn't have that amount at that time so they offered her a 9,program for $Now what in the world is going on here? They only offered us 6,points for $8,and we had to pay in full but they offered our friend 9,points for $total costThere is apparently a scam going on here as they are not consistentIf prices for points programs for vacations are set prices then they wouldn't have several different prices for the same thingThis experience proved to me that Bluegreen Vacations is not the place I want to do business withI even asked them if they could give us the 6,point program for maybe $or $down payment and then we can pay monthly until paid off and they flat out told us we have to pay the entire $8,in full or they refuse to do business with usSorry, Bluegree, but you lost a potential customer
and deceptive advertising
Through a partnership with Choice Hotels that I am a member of because of work travel, I was offered a "deal" with Bluegreen for a Smoky Mountain getaway As I listened to the Bluegreen rep tell me about what they were offering, I asked several questions because I knew of timeshare ripoffs
One big concern I asked was where I could use the product The rep told me at any available Bluegreen resort or one of their affiliates in the Smoky Mountain area Thinking a small vacation (after attending their sales presentation) would be perfect in the fall, I decided to purchase the day/night package for $on May 3rd
Towards the end of July, we decided to inquire about a possible trip the first part of October Unbeknownst to us, Bluegreen only has resorts in the area When I called and talked with a reservationist, they told me there was no availability and that the package I had purchased was only for hotel accommodations at a Sleep Inn or
Terrible I got nothing but pressure tactics and so many things were misrepresented! I was never told that the maintenance fees were not part of my regular mortgage payment, nor was I ever given any sense that the maintenance fees were almost $1k annually, and I only get points every other year!? The points expire and I never get to use them because there are no trips I can take for points every other year! I have had this timeshare since and I have only been able to stay at a resort for nights total!? I could have stayed at the RITZ for what I have paid for this worthless timeshare! I am desperate to get out of this, but can't figure out how! My husband is encouraging me to just stop paying and get sent to collections and get out of this thing I don't see what other options I have! I feel like every company saying they will get you out wants to charge exorbitant up front fees and I don't know who I can believe Wishing so badly to never have gotten into this mess Bluegreen is the worst :(
Absolutely a scamTried to book a trip two different times/months, no availability! I called for refund since I can't book travel the very limited time they have available, but of course I was denied by a rude and condescending managerVery frustrated, just threw away $
My girlfriend and I went to a preview last weekend in Williamsburg, VA We had a night's stay at the Comfort Inn which was very nice It had recently been renovated and was very clean and comfortable so no complaints with the accomodations We were scheduled for a hour presentation which ultimately took hours Way too long We were "double teamed" by a very good salesman and his boss, also a likable, good salesman Their presentation was very nicely done and it sounded like a good deal However, after reading some of the comments on here, it is clear we were not told everything We did not buy a package, although we seriously considered it I'm glad we didn't The only negative things I can say about the process was that it took too long, the pressure to make a decision that day was pretty high and our primary salesman, who was very friendly and personable during the sales pitch became very cold and irritated after we refused to buy Do your homework by looking at sites like this one before you go to a presentation so that you know what you're dealing with
This company Blue Green is all about high pressure sales for your hard earned dollarsOne of their selling points is to leave your vacation package to your heirsIts like gee dad I really miss you and thanks for leaving me a yearly financial burdenThey also do not follow through on their promises for free stays...all hypeThe sales staff will remind you of a seedy used car salesman
I am owner for about years now they have some good property and good staff but it all where you go I will never go back to the Fountains in Orlando Fl very bad management it starts from the top the head property manager wont even return my calls or talk to me why I was stay therethe maintenance fees are not going back into the property it going into his pocket as a big bonusmy room was missing furniture broken door on shower back door you could not open due to you had to lift it up to open it well Mr*** ***, SrVice President of Customer Service does this sound like Customer Service to you maybe they need to send you and your top manager for that property to a class how to take care of your owners and speed money on furniture for your rooms but it took you sell staff to get me another room where the refrigerator made a loud noise and maintenance would not fix but this is how you treat you gold owners then why would I want to buy more to move up So Ms*** ***, Vice President, Customer Care ask you self why you manager does not care for your owners that is sad
Bluegreen was misleding in our last upgrade exprience They said I would only have one payment and was getting a great deal and could defiance with my credit union for better rate when I got home Their min talk was over hours my credit union or the other banks I called do not defiance or touch time shares but I could apply for unsecured loan not tax deductible but not 17% either Also one loan payment was for $as stated but did Not include prior loan of $ They did not straight out lie but twisted the truth which is still a lie in my eyes
Despite trying our best (with having to work around work schedules, etc.), Bluegreen gave us no help at all and just charged off our account, negatively reporting against our credit
This is all you should expect from this company apparently!
After reading through other people's experiences, that matched our own, we decided to take a firm stance against this company, as they reel you in with misleading promises and intentionsThey make it seem they are a company looking after your best interest, but, in all actuality, they are just trying to squeeze every cent out of you - no matter the severe consequences that may affect you later on
We have talked with people from this company several times over the years, and no one ever told us we would just be high and dry if we were ever unhappy one dayWe kept paying because we "knew" we had to, but we kept being disappointed, and we shouldn't have to pay increasing fees for something we are not happy with
We understand Bluegreen's stance to some extent, but there is a serious lack of human understanding with this "company."
For multiple representatives to tell us there is nothing they can do - for how serious this has affected us, and no one cares - for them to not care WHATSOEVER about our complaints and dissatisfaction and simply "charge off" our loan, even after knowing we have been paying on time for years it is astounding! In the worst sense!
We purchased with Bluegreen back in 2016, and the ONLY vacation we were able to take happened in That is UNACCEPTABLE
Bluegreen has not denied this, eitherThey are just non-communicative about it
They put on a front that they "care" and have a whole "department" set up for customer service, but when you try to email and/or call back, no one gets back with you
IT IS ALL A HUGE SCAM
We cannot believe we got sucked into this, and we seriously hope anyone reading this is early enough in their "experience" to where they can get out without having to deal with all the negative effects!
NEVER AGAIN!!! BUYER BEWARE!! Full of deceit and misrepresentation Tried booking online for $149/4d-2n package, I chose Bluegreen Odyssey in Wisconsin Dells But I decided to call for booking since they offer free tickets for MtOlympus water park and the lady gave me options of either: Christmas Village or Bluegreen OdysseyI chose Odyssey of course But when I saw the email, it was changed to Wisconsin Dells Hotel Package GetawayWhen I was sold the $package back in March 2018, I was not told that it won't be on a resort but for partner hotel which they won't tell until you're in the location Oh and btw, the tickets to MtOlympus is a "gift" which means you have to attend days presentation before you could get the ticket So I have to wait after days to get the ticket??? I spoke w/ numerous agents and the last lady offered for a different dates or to have it extended til August (which I don't know if it's done) My vacation has been scheduled and no other dates available to book off the schedule so I opted for the free extension (I hope)
Bluegreen vacations is a typical sales bait, will misrepresent their offers but it's too late to find out until you've finally decided to use your vacation When you found out about it, it's too late!!! If there's no star rating, I'd do it I'm being generous w/ star
Check the reviews and find out for yourself early so you won't be sorry like I am!!!
We are submitting this complaint to make your agency aware of the experience we had with Bluegreen Resort
This letter is intending to fill you in on the deceitful sales tactics that the Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Incallows its employees to use in order to sell timeshares to their customers More specifically, in our situation, the sales reps presented our timeshare to be glamorous, easy and a good investment for our family They falsified information and omitted some pertinent information in order to persuade us to purchase a timeshare contract with their company
Overall, this has been a terrible experience that we have had with Bluegreen We wanted this timeshare because they said that this would be a good investment, and was something that we could leave to our children Unfortunately, we have realized this timeshare is not something that we want to leave to our loved ones, as it would be a huge burden for them, as it is for usWe have not been able to rent out our
When we were in Tennessee , we thought we had very good experienceBut now it is completely differentI am not sure if I can share the price details that I gotDuring the sales promotion program we were told like the price of the each point is some dollars and even in the outside market the value of each point is what they saidWe bought 5k in June and another 10k points last monthThe only reason we bought is the points worth is more than what we bought and we were told that in outside markets it is sameBut I never expect any profit and it is reasonable that we expect no gain no lossBut with in two weeks I came to know that outside value is very lessThen I contacted Bluegreen customer support team to know about it and I asked if the price is very less than what you have sold to me then I would like to cancel and requested for a refund I got different answers on pricingit depends on credit score, we were not told about thisPoint value - support said we need to go through resale partner , when I contacted them the point value is < dollar which was a shock to me
I am happy to share the values if it is really needed
I am not at all happy with the sales process since it is not transparent and now I need my money back and get rid of thisWe have a mortgage of amount which is more than what it worth
I can share more details if needed

Overall, this has been a terrible experience that we have had with Bluegreen We wanted this timeshare because they said that this would be a good investment, and was something that we could leave to our children Unfortunately, we have realized this timeshare is not something that we want to leave to our loved ones, as it would be a huge burden for them, as it is for usWe have not been able to rent out our
We stayed at LaCabana in Aruba and were extremely satisfied with everything
