DR Horton-Regent LLC met with the buyer onsite to access the issue the buyer was having with their garageThis was a model home, so the garage was converted into heated living space to use as a design centerDuring the purchase of the home it was disclosed that the garage would stay as is and be
part of the heated living spaceAfter the superintendent met with the buyer it was agreed that the best solution would be to convert the heated living space back into a garageDR Horton-Regent LLC will start the conversion as soon as possible

Yesterday evening, *** ***, Construction Project Manager, met with *** *** at his home to discuss the open warranty items. *** *** was assured the items would be scheduled to be addressed as soon as possible. It was noted that the weather did not permit for some of the
exterior work to be completed in accordance with the original estimated time frame but, that the work has been completed

*** * *** *** Hi, Sorry, I disagree that the popping noise is for a house that was built on 2006. The *** *** blames the material used, drywall, wood, plumber, electrician, HVAC contractors as well as the extreme climate for the popping problems. In other words it is not their fault. It disappoints me that they point the finger at everyone and everything but themselves. Sorry but, I have been in older homes here in the valley that do not have a popping problem I have had people who have visited my home and they are surprised and startled by the popping noise. My Realtor who has lived here years and has brought serval homes in the valley has never had a popping noise problem. The popping is most prominent in the fall, winter and spring when the temps are moderateIt still pops in the summer months but not as often nor as loud I advised this to Kim C*** prior to the *** *** report. Therefore, the extreme summer temps should NOT be a factor. It is time for the DR Horton and the *** *** to be good and respectable corporate citizens and admit they made a mistake and fix it. Popping noise that wakes you up at night IS NOT NORMAL! Also, no from the *** *** has ever been out to my house to actually investigate the problem. Since the *** *** designed the house it is their best interest to deny and point a finger to others. I can only suspect that there are other Felten designs that have this problem therefore the cost to repair would be more that they care to be responsible for, therefore, it is in their best interest to say popping is "NORMAL". It is only "normal" for the *** ***

We have agreed to raise the fence on the left side of the backyard to make sure that it is above the grass and soilsThe work is currently being scheduled In regards to the drainage issues, we believe that the drainage is working but the ground is overly saturated from the recent extremely heavy rains and the grass was just laid so it will take some time for it to root and firm up the yard No additional repairs are being offered *** ***

DHI Mortgage Company, Ltd., (“DHIM”) appreciates the opportunity to respond to Ms*** concerns. DHIM strives to provide excellent customer service and we are disappointed that Ms*** experience was not what she expected or deserved The *** were under contract for the purchase
of the subject property on 3/16/2015. That contract was contingent upon the sale and closing of their current residence in Colorado. The original closing date on the contract was May 29, 2015. At the *** request, DHIM attempted to have the loan approved so that the *** could close earlier in the month of May On May 4, 2015, *** *** Gulf Coast Branch Manager e-mailed all DHIM parties involved in the *** transaction along with the *** Real Estate Agent, *** *** to make sure that everyone understood that DHIM would not schedule a closing date until the loan was approved and all conditions were cleared. On May 6, 2015, the loan was credit approved with minor conditions, of which would have been taken care of at the time of closing. The last condition was documentation from the borrower. Mrs*** informed DHIM that she had the required documentation however, she would not provide it until DHIM advised her how all the inconveniences could be “resolved”. The resolution offered by DHIM was to close the loan as quickly as possible, weeks early. That resolution was not acceptable and on May 7, 2015, Mrs*** sent an e-mail withdrawing her loan application The lending process is sometimes very frustrating and stressful. DHIM understands those frustrations and worked hard to accommodate the early closing for the *** and apologize for any miscommunication and additional stress the process may have added to their move. As DHIM is not a party to the purchase contract we are unable to assist with the *** request for the return of their earnest money deposit*** *** *** Assistant National Resolutions Manager

This morning I noticed I have another water leak making this the fourth I've dealt with in as little as a yearAs I glanced my neighborhood I've noticed *** *** *** in this area several times a weekWhat was unknown to me from the beginning was DR Horton replacing the entire plumbing in homes after a lawyer was involved in the processI've attached photos and will communicate through sawarranty.com to see if the same business practices will be offered, but as far as the work to repair my foundation it looks as though a novice company made the repairs in which I am not impressed whatsoeverMy life has been placed on hold due in part because I am unable to sell my home in its current conditionsThe living room area under the carpet looks so bad that I am unable to remove it and place with a different product

I called MrE*** Friday afternoon March and spoke with him about his deposit check. I explained that we don’t have the check in the MS office and that the check was sent to our corporate office in Daphne, AL and that the release had to be processed and then the
check had to be issued and mailed out to him. He said he was told it would take three days to get his check back I explained that DR Horton was a corporation and that it would take longer than the three days I called to check on the status of the check at our corporate office and they informed me that the check was in processing and would be sent out this week. I told Mr*** that he would be receiving the check sometime toward the latter of the week. He was very polite and said ok. I gave him my phone number and asked him to call me when he received the check so that I will know that he received it. If not, then I would call the corporate officeHe said he said ok and then we ended the conversationSINCERELY, *** ** *** Area Sales Manager, MS DR Horton Homes

*** *** There are many errors in D.RHorton's accountAnd, despite the plumber having admitted the mistake and the builder telling us the plumbing company would be covering the repair costs, the builder is now not accepting responsibility nor allowing their subcontractor to accept responsibility We did indeed purchase a townhome from D.RHorton and closed last month (June 9) We changed the majority of our flooring on the main floor not to hardwood as the builder has stated but to CoretecPlus 7" luxury vinyl plankMs *** was well aware this was not hardwood, because she stated she was impressed with the quality of the flooring and asked for the website because she was interested in this particular flooring for personal useHowever, I am not sure what the change of flooring has to do with this issueWe did indeed install a washing machine not purchased by D.RHorton, and we did not have D.RHorton install the machineHowever, the washing machine was installed in the first floor laundry room not the second floor as stated by the builder. Contrary to the builder's claim that the washing machine was not connected properly, the washing machine was correctly installed to the drain port provided - the only drain line available to usThere were two drain ports - one was capped, one was left uncappedAccording to NC Plumbing Code, any pipe not connecting to the drain system must be cappedThe washing machine was installed to the uncapped portWe never removed any cap Unfortunately the plumber had capped the incorrect portThe one left open was not connected to the drain system but instead was an open port that drained into the wall behind the washing machineWhen the plumber came, he verified that the wrong port had been left open, said it was their mistake and stated that the plumbing company would cover our damages The following day Ms *** visited the house, checked out the first floor washing machine and surveyed the damage to the first floor She never even went up the stairs to the second floorShe called later that day and confirmed what the plumber had told us - this was their mistake and they would cover the cost to restore the flooring to the state it was prior to the floodingTwo days later I received an email from Ms *** stating that this was not their fault, we had misunderstood the plumber and that D.RHorton would not cover the damageI do not know why D.RHorton will not allow the plumber to cover those costs - it would not cost the builder anything out of pocket. Sincerely,*** ***

I contacted *** *** on February 2nd and he conveyed that both he and Praxis are continuing to work on a time that will be amenable to them both. Praxis has been diligent in their attempts to schedule and our Warranty Department has diligently inquired regarding as much. The remaining work is dependent upon the customer and Praxis scheduling a time for the repairs

After further inspection, we respond that the grass is growing to our expectations. We use a mix of rye and bluegrass as explained in our Warranty manual, which the *** received on 5/17/

This email is regarding *** *** attached is the complaint form with notes as to what has been done, in short, we agree that there has been a drainage issue on the side of their home, we have regarded the area of concern and now the customers would like to wait until we have had some rain so it
can be verified if the issue is resolved correctly or not. If after some rain it is determined that additional work is required, DRHI will agree to readdress and correct as needed Thanks, *** ***

First of all, we have not dealt with or even heard of *** ***, nor has he been by our house to even see the issues we are having.1. The AC Unit: There has been well over visits from ***, which NONE of them fixed any of the problems, and the unit is currently totally down. As of 8/1/15, the unit froze up solid, and *** came out and disconnected it, and left. The unit was running non stop and the temperature in the house exceeded degreesThey returned on 8/2/15, and said they found a bad TXV and the upstairs unit was low on Freon. The only unit working for the whole house right now, is the smaller one. Every tech that has been out to service it, has had a different description of what the problem is. We had someone independently come out and look at it, and he said it was the compressor, and needs to be replaced, and if not replaced, it will not last the lifetime of the compressor. We feel like they are trying to just "get by" for the summer, and then come next summer, it will be our responsibility, as it will no longer be under warranty. We are aware that DR Horton knows of these problems, as well as Carrier and ***, but we are going on months now dealing with this same problem.2. The warped boards on the fence IS due to the sprinkler system not being aligned correctly, hitting the boards and causing them to warpThe warped boards have been replaced at this time, but the sprinkler system still is not aligned away from the fenceThe soffits on the west side of the house have NOT been fixed as of this date, and are currently housing birds nests. The vents ARE being used by the master bath, and need to be completed.4. Microwave has been replaced. Acceptable

Our area construction manager has reached out to the homeowner and is awaiting a response in order to further discuss his concerns

We have been in communication with the customer and visited their home to assess their concern with their yardUpon further investigation, an offer to address the matter was made; however, we have not heard back from the customer regarding our offerShould they wish to move forward, we'd be happy
to do so

Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The issue at hand is the defective product sold and installed by DR HortonPer my conversation with the company that installed the door - they have replaced multiple doors in the *** *** due to material defects of the doorsThe door itself should perform for a lot longer than it hasI have maintained the door the best I could, however, the door itself is defectiveI don't accept the response by DR HortonThe builder has a responsibility to offer and install good quality productThis is obviously not the case here - the door has a severe bow at the bottomThis allowed for moisture to penetrate inside the house.I demand that my complaint be escalated furtherMr *** is clearly missing the point that I have made on multiple occasions - the company sold a defective productThis was further confirmed by the company that installed these doors
