We appreciate the customer reaching out regarding their concerns and for their patience in bringing this matter to a resolutionWe have confirmed via communication with the local warranty department that they have been in communication with the customer this week and the necessary repair work is being performed

Due to a Revdex.com technical error, [redacted] just received the subject complaintWe apologize for the delayed responseThe warranty manager and the landscaper visited the customer's home several weeks ago, where standing water was observed at a drain box in the yardThe irrigation contractor was sent to assess the issue and determined there to be a leak, which was corrected during his visit to the homeThe landscaper visited the yard the following week after a rainfall event to confirm there was no standing waterUpon receipt of a follow up call from the customer, the landscaper visited the home Tuesday following a Monday afternoon rainfall eventAs of the Tuesday visit, there was no standing water in the yard of this homeWhile the warranty covers feet from the foundation, the landscaper and sales professional checked the entirety of the yard to confirmWe are in communication with [redacted] 's neighbors regarding their yard and will continue to monitor the situation as necessary

Please accept this correspondence as D.RHorton, Inc.’s (“DRH”) response to the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”) with regard to the above-referenced complaintI apologize for the difficulties Mr [redacted] feels he has encountered while attempting to resolve his concernsI assure you that DRH strives to provide quality service.It is my understanding that Mr [redacted] successfully closed on this property on or about April 23, Mr [redacted] has previously contacted the division regarding the air conditioning in his home through a customer service requestAs a result the division is in direct communication with Mr [redacted] in order to move towards resolution of his request.I appreciate the Revdex.com providing me with an opportunity to respond to Mr***’s complaint and its attention to this matter

Revdex.com Response ID# [redacted] DR Horton Customer Service has reassigned the warranty request items from the builder to a Customer Service Tech, the Tech is currently working with Ms [redacted] in addressing the warranted items as notedPrevious offers were made and agreed to by the V P, and Construction Managers of the DFW-East Division to address the wood floor After the agreement was made Ms [redacted] changed her position on the agreement and wanted additional boards replacedThis was deniedDR Horton is still prepared to make the repairs to the wood floor as previously offered [redacted] Customer Service Manager DFW East [redacted] ***

A contractual agreement was made between the buyer and us the seller/builderThe contractual agreement specifically excluded from the sellers warranty; “Landscaping, including trees, shrubs, grass and flowers are not covered by any warranty”That being said us the seller (D.RHorton) chose to go above and beyond the warranty and address the issue at the sellers expense to pay to have portions of the yard top soiled and seededThe responsibility of nurturing and maintaining the soil and seed was the sole responsibility of the buyerAt this time we offer no warrantable action for the buyer / Homeowner after years and months of owning the home Thank you, [redacted] DR Horton - America's Builder!

We are on schedule to assess Ms [redacted] door on July 14th which is the first day she states she has available

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Regarding Complaint # [redacted] To Whom It May Concern: I am not satisfied with Ms [redacted] response My issue is that Ms [redacted] , the DR Horton Agent, assured us that all items on our inspection report and punch list were being corrected, including upgrading to the ton A/C unit Several items including the A/C unit were not addressed (please see initial letter) We were not given any notice that the items were not being addressed until the day of closing DR Horton did not deliver the home as promised We could not continue with the purchase of a home from a company that clearly lied to us DR Horton did not deliver the home as promised I respectfully request the return of our earnest money Sincerely, [redacted]

In reference to the above, we have instructed the roofing company to go back out to the home and inspect the flashing in this area. Per [redacted] a solution has been proposed and acceptedThere was an error with our HVAC contractor with regards to the sizing / equipment used this is being scheduled for repair directly with the [redacted] ’sAs part of the solution the [redacted] ’s will be reimbursed by the HVAC contractor for excessive electric bills due to the equipment error,

That for sure is "positive" drainage!I requested on two occasions thru [redacted] a meeting with his superiors, [redacted] and [redacted] that never materializedI finally went to the office to meet Mr [redacted] who at the time, had no idea who I was, what the issue was and no idea I had requested a meeting that he was to see me the day beforeAfter that meeting Mr [redacted] tried for a time to get the work promised done, but was shot downThe only communication was the one letter denying any further workAfter that I sent an e-mail to Mr [redacted] and as of today have not received any response from himThe only acceptable solution to this ongoing situation is a meeting and site inspection by superior management from the office in Texas to see what their team in the [redacted] deems proper grading and treatment of home buyers.Thank you [redacted]
