Dream Serum Reviews (%countItem)

On 8/10/18, I purchased a sample of Dream Serum Calm Serum offered for $4.95. It arrived in a small cardboard container with no information about the purchase on 8/15. At 6am on 8/23, I noticed my bank account had been charged $89.87 by Dream Serum. Later that morning, I looked for a website and then called Dream Serum customer service at 855-778-3026. After a long time on the line, a representative named Tamika answered. She said that I had actually purchased a one year plan at $89.87 per month. When I said that there was no mention of this on the online purchase order, she said that I had been offered the opportunity to read the terms and conditions and that the company had won all disputes about their order form. I said that I
would like this one year plan I was unaware of to be cancelled. After some time, I got her to agree to cancel the plan.
However, I could not get her to remove the $89.87 charge.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept it.

Zero stars!!! This company is sneaky and deceptive. It's only goal is to scam people out of their money. When I spoke to a representative, I told her that I was going to notify Revdex.com. She then proceeded to tell me about their "protocol" if the Revdex.com were to call them. I told her that they must get a lot of calls from the Revdex.com if they needed a "protocol!" And, as I read all of these complaints, I see that I am correct!!!!!

Ordered two samples and paid for shipping ($4.95 and $4.90 each). The business has now fraudulently charged my card and has placed 5 several charges on my card totaling $362.67. These are fraudulent charges as I have not placed any orders and have no idea what these charges are for.

After talking to 3 people (Kierra, Rachael and Tiffany) at Dream Serum and getting more frustrated; I decided to file a complaint with the Revdex.com only to find this seems to be an ongoing pattern with this company of minimal transparency and scamming the consumer. I could "Ditto" the 2 complaints dated 8/27/2018 and 8/26/2018...I also ordered a face cream and NEVER agreed to an automatic shipment of more product. The advertisement stated the "head of the company was Kathy Lee Gifford" and I noticed in the review dated 08/26/2018 the "head of the company was Amy Robach. I also read the order from top to bottom before agreeing to only pay a shipping fee of $4.95 and NEVER signed or agreed to an automatic shipment and now have been charged a total of $367.37 for my initial "trial" and unauthorized second shipment; I do not like the product and did not sign any contract for additional shipments!!! I called back a second time after reading the reviews to request they credit me 50% of the total charges (which I think is more than fare) otherwise I would also be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. Tiffany did not seem to care and read the same script over and over interrupting and not letting me finish a statement. Tiffany would only agree to credit 35% of the second shipment ($89.42 which I did not authorized to begin with) I have been charged a total of $367.37 and would like a credit of $183.69. I do not want or like this product and am very shocked with all the complaints that Dream Serum has not been shut down and that these Celebrates actually know or authorize their names to be attached to this type of fraud!!! Warning to any consumer that sees Dream Serum pop up on their computer! Do not fall for this scam and the product which is suppose to moisturize does exactly the opposite..drys your skin out!!

I have NEVER filed a complaint with the Revdex.com but DREAM SERUM IS A SCAM!!! In good faith, I saw an advertisement through GMA and ordered their $4.95 face cream. It arrived and I sampled it but since I am gluten free and it gave me a rash, I discarded it obviously realizing too late that I am allergic. Suddenly, another sample showed up in the mail today. I went online to find the company to explain that I did not order it a second time, nor could I use it the first time, and the customer service rep said that I was in a contract. What? She advised I go online to find the terms of conditions. I went online and after hunting around, finally found the website and terms. I did not sign up for this. This company should be shut down. I looked up my credit card transactions and it seems they charged me 4.95, 89.95 and 89.95. All for a trial? I called back and spoke to NAOMI who could not have been ruder to me. She laughed when she said that I should have read the terms of conditions when I first ordered the serum. I told her that I would call the Revdex.com and my credit card company and she said good luck because no one wins. I asked for a refund but she declined. I threw away the first jar and have not opened the second. The terms for this WERE NOT COMMUNICATED CLEARLY nor was there anything in either package that offered any kind of refund if not satisfied, as ALL reputable businesses offer. Please help me to get my money back and close down this sham of a company. GMA and anyone else involved in this company should be ashamed of themselves.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept that they will refund my money.

I, too, thought that I was getting a legitimately free trial size product. It clearly indicates in their advertising that the product is enough for 30 days. It's a 14 day trial offer and then you're going to be billed $90 per ounce for this serum. This is not cleatly indicayed in their ad. As I was checking out for the dream serum, a window pops up suggesting I buy the calm serum for your eyes. The screen is misleading in that it suggest that the consumer cannot bypass this offer, or the initial offer is lost. Furthermore I received an email at 6:13 p.m. August 10th that my product had shipped. I did not receive my product until August 14th. Dream serum went ahead and charge my credit card on August 24th. That is a 10-day trial. I called the customer service telephone number to resolve this issue by way of a full refund. I explained that I did not wish to be enrolled in any type of dream serum membership, and I did not know that I had to cancel anything in 14 days. This company is deceitful and they are scamming people out of their hard-earned money. Neither of the customer service Representatives could refund my money stating that the 14-day trial is in a disclaimer somewhere. One of the customer service Representatives offered me a 35% refund on my canceled product. Then, I realized that $90 was for the "free " trial-size size and not that a new shipment that was coming. I took the 35% refund as it appeared that was all I was going to get out of either customer service representative. However, I believe a full refund of $189 is due to me. This company is scamming people out of their money by using celebrity endorsements and false advertising.

This product is a joke. It does not do what it is advertised to do.
I was sent a sample for $4.95, but now, without ordering, I was sent another jar for some $89.
I called them and said that I did not order the product and I want to return it.
I was told that it would cost me $9.95 restocking fee, plus the postage.
I have cancelled the account.
Once they had my credit card, they then used it without my permission.

I ordered the free trial for Dream Serum for 4.95 which is for shipping I never requested nor wanted them to send me any other shipments. About a month after I received the trial shipment I got charged 88.99 and 89.87 that I never ordered. A few days later I received another shipment of the Dream Serum and the Dream Eye Serum that I never ordered. I have returned both and do not want any more shipments or charges. I have tried calling the company several times and am on hold for long periods of time and they say to press 3 and they will call back but I have yet received a return phone call. All I want is my money back and for them to stop charging me and stop sending me their bogus products.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept it.

In JULY 2018 I was mislead to believe that they were sending me a sample serum for just the shipping cost of $4.95 and if I liked the product then I could order more. It was not made clear in any of the regular print that I was signing up for any monthly subscription, nor that there was a required 14 period to let them know not to charge me. When I received the product the invoice had NO MENTION of the cost or that I was now enrolled in their program; neither did the confirmation email or shipment email notification. So now, AUGUST 2018, I noticed an additional charge on my account for $89.87. I IMMEDIATELY called the number on the Revdex.com website and disputed the charge as well as requested they cease sending me the product immediately. "Shay" was very well versed with the situation which tells me they do this often. They initially told me I was out of luck and should have read the fine print. I told them this was a scam and that I wanted a FULL REFUND. They gave me 35% back and provided me a cancellation number for my "account". I reported this as a scam through the Revdex.com also.

Just got off the phone with a customer service rep for Dream Serum. I told her I wanted the shipments to stop coming, that I was returning the product and that I had disputed the credit card charges with my credit card company. She informed me that I the product was mine, they would not accept it back because they have a no return policy, that she could only get me a 35% refund, and that I would need to get my credit card company on the line in order to see about getting that money refunded. I reminded her about all the reviews/complaints I was looking at on line about their product and the same issues other customers were experiencing and the standard language that was being used for their response:
"We are sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. We provide terms and conditions of our offer to our customers prior to checkout to read and agree to if they wish to continue with their order. We do this to avoid any misunderstandings. She became rude at this point and again told me I would have to get my credit card company on the line to see about getting any refund. I told her I wanted all my money refunded (except for the initial shipment) as quoted in the company's response to other individuals complaints, to close my account, stop the shipments, that I was returning the product to the address on the packing slip, and that this company practice has the makings for a class action lawsuit.

Ordered initial promotion after seeing false advertising and not knowing. Once I found these reviews a couple days later I called to cancel and they said to wait til a very specific date or I would be charged additionally for returning. Waited then called and since the new was processed that date they would not refund even though that is when they told me to call for no additional charge in cancelling. Now I am out $178.86 because they lied! BIIIGGGGG SCAM!

This company is a scam. I ordered the facial products under the assumption that I was paying the shipping and handling for a free trial period and to my surprise, they charged my card for shipping and handling plus $89.87 twice. I was shocked to see the same facial products in less than a month and with an invoice and contact information. I called the number and complained about the product and how it irritated my face and wanted a full refund and I offered to return their products and they informed me no. Then I realized they had charged me for the trial sample and the other order which I did not place. I called again and they informed me that they are a third party call center and can not refund customers. Since they do not want the product I informed them that I will have it tested to see what the actual ingredients are because they are a scam. Reputable facial products do not cost this much and are effective. I want a full refund and they will not grant it; what a sham of a business.
The star rating should be negative for product and customer service!!!!!!

I fell for a scam from Dream Serum recently. The first of July I clicked on a pop up ad that said for a free trial offer on some face serum I was to pay $4.95 for shipping and then when I clicked it, it stated for an additional $4.90 I could also receive an eye product. It didn't say anything about signing up for a "subscription to their products". My next credit card statement reflected the charge for $4.95 and $4.90, as I had expected. I then waited for my samples to arrive. I received the product and was not impressed. When I received my next credit card statement, I had 2 charges for $89.87 and two charges for $88.99 (charges for my "so-called samples" and a subsequent shipment). I had no idea I would be on an "auto-subscription". In the meantime, I received another shipment of the Calm Eyes and Calm Serum. I called Dream Serum and talked to one of their representatives (Ayana - sp?). She explained to me that the first charge was for the actual two products I ordered on July 1st ($89.87 and $88.99) and the shipping that I agreed to was the $4.95 and the $4.90. (I was under the impression that my samples were costing me $4.95 and $4.90). I requested to immediately cancel this subscription I did not sign up for. She offered me a reduction of 50% on the product. When I refused and stated I just wanted to cancel and return my unopened product (2nd shipment) for a refund, she stated they did not take back product and then offered me a " 75% employee discount on future products". Each time I told her I wanted this cancelled immediately and a full refund. I did not get anywhere with her other than canceling this subscription. As of today they have charged my credit card a total of $372.52. I am willing to pay for the 1st shipment (reluctantly) since I opened and used the product, however, I wish to return the unopened/unused second shipment to Dream Serum and receive a credit of $183.81 ($4.95 shipping, $89.87 product, 88.99 product for 2nd shipment).

After placing an order for a FREE 14-DAY TRIAL of 2 advertised products & paying the S&H charges from my bank debit card, I received two charges to my bank account for large sums = almost $180.00. Nothing was revealed in initial ad about the FREE trial regarding these charges which would be billed to me within 15 days after the product arrived. The Packing Slip enclosed with the two Trial products showed NO SUCH PROVISIONS AND NO WAY TO INVESTIGATE THESE CHARGES WAS PROVIDED EXCEPT FOR A "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" PHONE # WHICH, WHEN I CALLED, GAVE ME NO ASSISTANCE IN CONTACTING THE ACTUAL "COMPANY" TO DISPUTE THESE UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES. I have requested by bank to file a dispute for these charges and that dispute has been denied. Enclosed is the 12-page "Denial", copy of packing slip, and several other pertinent pieces of information regarding this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:

There has been NO Chargeback to my account used in the transaction I am disputing. I can provide a copy of my banking account showing NO SUCH CHARGEBACK ON THE DATE SHOWN.

Customer Response • Sep 11, 2018

At this point, my bank/credit card issuer (***) has received a refund from DreamSerum for ONE of the two charges which I did not authorize and that amount of $89.87 has been credited to my card used for the Free Trial product offer. However, the second unauthorized charge of $88.99 which I have disputed through my bank and a personal letter detailing this ID Transaction #*** as well as a phone call to the DreamSerum supervisor in Greensboro NC (Teresa) has not been responded to in any way and no action has been forthcoming to explain why my dispute for ID Transaction *** in the amount of $88.99 has received to notice to date.

Why would one disputed transaction be acted on by DreamSerum and a second disputed transaction be ignored when they both are from the same original order I placed for the two products on a 14Day Free Trial basis with no mention of anything to be paid by me other than the Shipping/Handling Fees of $4.95 per product?

Please advise me of any action you are taking to restore my bank credit card account with BOTH CHARGES BEING REFUNDED TO ME.

Customer Response • Sep 24, 2018

I will try to send you a copy of the Refunded Order Notification (dated 8/8/2018) I received from DreamSerum regarding the $88.99 charge (first of 2 charges from same Free Trial Order for 2 of their products) which was deposited into my account used for the initial order #674267. The date of this refunded amount was Sept 4, 2018.

However, a second Complaint which I filed on August 27, 2018 for the August 7, 2018 unauthorized charge to this account for $89.87 has received only a "Provisional Refund" of $89.87 which was charged to the same account I used; this was entered on my account August 10, 2018. Subsequently, this same amount was shown as a "Reverse Credit" on August 28, 2018, thereby cancelling any refund of this charge.

Your letter dated 9/7/2018, received by me, shows a "message from business" near the bottom of the page which reads: "Our records indicate that you had a chargeback placed on your account on this date (08/14/2018) and it was placed on the amount of your purchase." I HAVE RECEIVED NO CHARGEBACK OF ANY AMOUNT ON THE DATE OF 8/14/2018 or any succeeding date for this amount of $89.87.

Consequently, this second unauthorized charge is still IN DISPUTE by me. I cannot accept the fact that the first charge of $88.99 was finally REFUNDED to my account on Sept 4, 2018 and the second charge of $89.87 has NOT BEEN REFUNDED TO ME. Both unauthorized charges were for the products I ordered on the same date from DreamSerum, paying shipping and handling for each as directed by them at the time of order. BOTH UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME AND BOTH SHOULD BE REFUNDED IN FULL TO ME BY DreamSerum USING THE SAME ACCOUNT FROM WHICH THEY WERE ORDERED.

Please alert DreamSerum through your Revdex.com that I am owed a REFUND of $89.87 and I will not withdraw my Complaint until such refund has been issued. Sincerely

As we have stated to you before We are sorry but once the chargeback was placed the bank took over your refund. The chargeback was took out of our account once the chargeback was placed.

I assumed from the advertisement that I would be paying just shipping $4.90 & $4.95 which was charged on 7/19. Then on 8/2 I was charged $88.99 and $89.87 on 8/3. Then on 8/23, I received one more of each product. I didn't order any more. Once I received my credit card statement, I noticed they charged me again on 8/19 - $88.99 and 8/20 - $89.87. I called today and told them I was going to return the last 2 products unopened and want a refund for those 2 as well as the charges earlier this month. They said they do not accept returns. Like all the others, they said I was suppose to cancel within 10 days or be enrolled. They did offer to refund 35%, then 50%, then 75%. Finally they said they would refund 100% for the last 2 charges only on 8/19 & 8/20. They would not refund charges on 8/2 & 8/3. I have also seen the same advertisement using a different serum name & celebrity. What a scam!

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and I accept it. They did call me and said all purchases would be refunded which they have been. During our phone conversation they said that the product is a trial period not a sample. When asked how can you try item for a week before knowing if it works, she said that it is more for someone who has a reaction to products which they would know right away. I mentioned that is not what they are selling in their advertisement. She said that they need to fix their advertisement.

I ordered a sample of Dream Serum (a facial product) on July 30, 2018. I received it on August 4. I was allergic to it and could not use. I called and cancelled my account on August 14. My credit card was charged on August 14 for $89.87, which is the charge for a full order of this product. Apparently, if you don’t call within 14 days, they subscribe you to a monthly subscription and charge that amount every month.

I had not received any more product from them and so I called them. They said they did not send any more product out since I was allergic to it. I asked about my credit for $89.87 and was told that I called a day late and would forfeit that amount. I argued with them and finally they were “kind” enough to agree to give me a 35% refund. I called them again and told them that 35% refund is unacceptable and I am extremely unsatisfied with this. This is a scam. They were adamant that 35% is all they will refund. I said, So you charge $89.87 to my credit card and send no product. It’s just a gift to you? They answered since I called a day late, yes it would not be refunded, and that I should have read the terms and conditions. I ordered it off a facebook ad and saw no terms and conditions.

Also, I would like to thank you for your help on this matter.

I purchased the product approving the shipping ONLY charge of $4.95 as advertised. I looked thru the entire ad and NOWHERE did it state that I would be charged almost $200 at a later time. I called the company when the charge came thru and disputed it. I was told they have no return policy and basically too bad that they took my money but it wasnt being refunded. Only when I stated I would contact the NC AD is when I was offered a 30% refund. I declined as I never authorized the charge. Again I was told too bad no refund. I hung up and was called back by the same person and was rudely told I would be offered a 50% refund. I accepted to put the issue to an end and still to this day have not gotten a refund. I called them 8/17 and was told it would take 3-5 business days. Well now I demand a 100% refund as this looks more and more like a scam.

Dream Serum company false advertising and they claim I was presented with terms 4 times and agreed to them yet they can not prove it. On 8/7/2018 I purchases 2 items, a 30 day supply, and paid only for shipping. I was very thurough and diligent in my purchase and buy things online very often. On 8/25/2018 I saw 2 charges on my bank account for $44.49 and $22.47 from the Dream Serum company. I did not know why there were charges. I did a little more research online and unfortunatly found that I am not the only one with these unknown charges or concerns. I called customer service and spoke with Kiesha (?) who was pleasant and obvious reading from a script or memory. This wasn't the first of this type of phone call I'm sure. She said I agreed to a 14 day trial and if I didn't call and cancel I would be charged the full price for the items I ordered. There was no mention of any type of 14 day trial period or automatic billing of the full price of the 2 items. I was never actually made aware of the full product price or the 14 day trial.I explained my concern and I asked to see a copy of the user agreement and terms I apparently agreed to and she gave me the web address. I have tried for the past hour different browsers, different internet connections, and phone and the site won't come up. She kept saying that there was something wrong with my internet connection because it came right up on her computer. https://dreamserum.com https://www.dreamserum.com and every variation and the link on the Revdex.com site doesn't work either. Convenient. She made all kinds of offers for % off and free bottles and such but I was totally scammed. After doing additional research I find I am not the only one. I don't mind paying what I agreed to, free shipping, but want a full refund of the $66.96 what I was charge. I was told since I agreed to the terms I could not get a refund. That is criminal in my book. I was able to get next months auto ship and billing cancelled at least.
