Review: I ordered an engine inv #[redacted]) by phone on March 24, 2014 being told it would arrive in 7-10 days. after 14 days I was told 7-10 business days. After 30 days they no longer took or answered my calls. When the engine did arrive 30 days late it was the wrong one. I notified them it was not the engine they told me I needed and asked them to send a pickup order for it which they did not do. I called again only to have them tell me I had to pay shipping both ways and restocking fee of 25% as agreed when I ordered it. I specifically had them e-mail me saying that if it were not the right engine they would not charge me before paying for it by phone...nor did I ever agree to any return fees. When they finally did issue the pickup (June 11, 2014) I had the driver verify it was the same engine by serial number and that it was still in the original shrink wrap with the original delivery address. Web Pro then had the engine shipped to Appleton Recycling for disposal (whether by accident or on purpose it has been melted) where it was received and signed for on June 13, 2014. I have called no less than 90 times since....never to have a single call returned. I did manage to talk to [redacted] in June and July 2014 where he told me he would research and get back to me. In Dec 11, 2105 he finally talked to me again after I began calling hourly only to give me the same research reason. I e-mailed him the pickup and delivery documents obtained from R&L Carriers. He acknowledged receipt and again used research and call back. I then called Appleton Recycling myself and in 2 minutes found out that the engine was immediately melted as contracted by Quality and Southwest Engines. I have called no less than 25 times since, e-mailed, and tried garnishment to no avail. Currently I am owed $2395 plus small claims court costs , garnishment fees, and 12% interest beginning June 13, 2014 which comes to $2996.08. I have also contacted Federal Trade Commission (ref #[redacted]) who concluded that "claim is not disputed".Desired Settlement: to get the money back. The money was from my son's college fund. I paid by debit card because they would not accept check or credit card and then transferred to funds to cover the charge. My son had to sit out fall semester so he could earn tuition that would have otherwise been covered had Web Pro sent the right engine or refunded the purchase price for the wrong one they sent.

Response:

This is a very old case and we are not able to look into the tracking of the shipment any longer. According to our records we never received the item back. In order to settle this case, we will need the complainant to attach/send all proof of where the return was received, customer claims Appleton Recycling, and we will review the case further. Furthermore, the complaintant claims we sent the wrong engine and this is simply not the case. The complainant ordered via the web whichs means a Representative did not place the order for him and therefore we cannot take resposibility here. If the complaintant called and inquired about what engine he needed, the Represeantative would of only been able to advise based off the information given at this time. Please provide all documentation and we will review the case further and come to a decision.

Review: SW Transmissions advertises a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty including labor on used automatic transmissions they sell. I purchased a used transmission from them for my 1996 Dodge 1500 4WD pickup. It failed before 25 miles. I tried calling their warranty phone number and got a fax machine. They answer their sales phone number pronto then transferred my call to their warranty dept. After listening to elevator music for more time than I should have I left a voice mail and they didn't return my call. I sent several e mails over a 2 week period. Finally a guy named [redacted] agreed to send a replacement transmission. The replacement transmission also failed before 25 miles. At this point I had spent $117.42 for 15 quarts of automatic transmission fluid, flush solvent, and filter kit plus around $450. for labor to install each transmission. I also had lost the use of my vehicle for over 2 months. I sent [redacted] an e mail stating that I wanted a refund of my $ 1500. purchase price. I have not received a reply.

Product_Or_Service: used automatic transmission

Order_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I want a refund of the $1500. purchase price. They should also cover the labor costs. I wish I had done due diligence prior to giving these people my money, as there are numerous complaints against SW Transmissions on the internet.

We already came to an agreement with Mr. [redacted], and the agreement was for him to make both transmissions available for pick up and then we will pick them up and refund him. So far we only have received one transmission back.

Review: I ORDERED A TRANSMISSION FROM THEIR WEBSITE. I RECEIVED THE "TESTED AND FUNCTIONAL" TRANSMISSION ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER. I WENT AND GOT IT INSTALLED AND TRIED DRIVING THE VEHICLE HOME. I MADE IT LESS THAN A MILE BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT ON ME. I CALLED TO GET IT WARRANTIED AND THEY TOLD ME I HAD AN ACTIE WARRANTY AND TO SEND THEM DIAGNOSTICS AND BILL OF SALE FOR INSTALL. I DID THAT AND HADNT HEARD FROM THEM IN A WEEK. SO I CALLED AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME THEY TOLD ME SINCE I ACCIDENTALLY PUT IN A WRONG DATE FOR ARRIVAL OF PRODUCT, MY WARRANTY WAS VOID. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK SO I CAN ACTUALLY GET TO SCHOOL. I HAVE ABOUT 1000 DOLLARS INTO THIS, BUT THEY WONT LET ME WARRANTY OUT THE FAULTY PART THEY SENT.

We spoke to the complainant on 3-2-16 and explained exactly why he warranty was voided and he agreed to the reasoning. We can provide a recording of the call if needed. We called the complainant on 2-23-16 in response to an email. He informed us of the situation with the transmission and we began to investigate the claim. We give 10 days to activate the Free Warranty after receiving the engine per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty. We asked him to send a diagnostic report as standard practice and never received the required documents from the complainant. Upon further investigation, we found the complainant had falsified his warranty activation by putting a delivery date which coincided with his warranty activation date to make the 10 day requirement. The complainant ordered the Transmission on 12-10-15 and received it on 12-16-15. As you can it would be required to activate your warranty no later than 12-26-15. This can often be extended if needed by simply calling in and letting us know there is an issue with the installation date beforehand. The complainant was aware of this and entered a false date which would make the warranty activation valid. Therefore, we have denied the claim based on falsifying information during the warranty activation process. This complainant Free Warranty is now void and null as a result.

Review: I ordered an engine and the engine itself is great and appears to be in great condition, especially for the price, so no issues there. There is one problem with it though, the idler Pully on the side of the engine arrived bent, and because I didn't have time to throughly inspect the engine (even though I was assured the quality assurance department did so already), I have to spend extra money to replace a broken part. How is this my fault? I don't understand why this is on me. I already bought a replacement factory idler Pully, but all I am asking for is to be reimbursed for it since it's not my fault it was broken. There are other parts on the engine I replaced, however, they were not broken, I chose to replace them anyway and that's on me. I'm asking for reimbursement for the broken part I had to replace. I will gladly send the old one back if I have to.

ORDER NUMBER: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I spent about $37 for a new idler Pully. I am asking for this to be reimbursed to me, if I need to send the old one back to get this, that would be a satisfactory resolution.

Review: We purchased an Engine from SW Engine for $2745.00 on June 9 2015 under the impression that it came with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. We installed the Engine in Oct 2015. It smoked and bogged out. We called SW Engines and told them of problem. They told us to get a diagnostic report from auto shop. We got the report and it showed that there was a problem. We called SW Engines back and they said we had to file a warranty claim online. I filed claim on 11-4-15. We were told today 11-11-15 that we did not activate warranty within 10 days of receiving and installing the Engine. We told them that We did activate warranty within 10 days of installing the Engine.Desired Settlement: We want SW Engines to honor their warranty and give us a new Engine or give us our money back. They sold us a faulty Engine and they need to make it right

Response:

As the customer has stated in the complaint, the engine was ordered on 6-9-2015. The customer did not install until October therefore voiding the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty which clearly states: "Warranty must be activated within 10 business days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDED. Falsifying information will automatically void your warranty." This can be viewed by visiting http://www.swengines.com/warranty.php. The Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon before ordering and are clearly stated on the site as well as during the purchase process. We cannot possibly know what condition the engine was stored in for more than 4 months and this is why we have this conditions as any engine improperly stored for a short amount of time can be damaged from the elements or mishandling. Furthermore, the customer called in on 10-22-2015 and Activated the warranty on 11/4 and proceeded to attempt to make a claim the same day. Unfortunately, the customer did not read or understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty when attempting to do so. We encourage all potential buyers to read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty before making a purchase.

Review: I ordered a used corvette transmission from them. To place order, I had to state it would be used in a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle. They knew at time of order, it would not be placed in a corvette. I was not told that use in a different model would nullify any warantee. Was assured the part had been thoroughly quality tested and was in working condition. It was installed by a thoroughly qualified, reputable mechanic. Was test driven for less than a mile. It makes horrible noise. Metal shavings appeared in fluid drained from it afterwards. It is junk. They won't give me my money back.Desired Settlement: I would just like my money back because my mechanic says it was defective to begin with. It shouldn't matter what model it was put into. It replaced a transmission of the same thpe and make which wore out. They should not have filled the order or at least told me there would be no warantee. In which case, I would not have ordered from them.

Response:

you are lying , we have a strict policy of selling direct fit parts. Stop putting blame on someone else. if you told us you had a 71 corvette we woul never sell it to you.

Purchased an engine and 3 year warranty through swengines.com because the part was available. Verbally was promised an engine would ship within days after the testing mentioned on the website. Called back two days later after purchase because no shipping information was received. Person said they were testing the engine at that moment and the engine would be shipped by the end of the day. I asked them to put it in writing. He promptly said we don't put anything in writing.

I asked him to cancel the order, he said the order was subject to a 25% restocking fee. I asked him to reconsider the charge since the engine had not shipped. He said work had been done (wouldn't put it in writing) and that all cancellations are subject to the 25% fee.

They refunded 75% of the total cost. This includes the warranty that was purchased for $95, which according to their website "Parts and labor warranty begins on the 14th day & 501st mile after the engine is installed." Since the engine was never installed, why would I only be refunded a part of warranty which was never issued... Anyone else cancel and experience this? Revdex.com: Class action lawsuit?

For anyone that has read all of this, do yourself a favor, go elsewhere!

Review: This company sold me a bad motor from the start. I didn't realize they had numerous other complaints against them until not to long ago. The motor was failing and quit working. The oil leaked all

Over from the start. I want a refund. This is being forwarded the local authorities also. I have forwarded all of my reciepts. Facebook has numerous pages against these people. They were hanging up the phone on me an were very rude. They told me nothing could be done because of time elapsing. Or they would tell me some different story.Desired Settlement: I want a refund. Period. These people are selling poor quality.

The reason we did not warranty this engine is because it was past warranty when she had called us. This is an order from March 3, 2011

Review: I ordered a Ford Mustang engine from this company and they advertised 3 year warranty plus parts and labor or 30,000 miles. I ordered the engine November 19, 2013. They advised an internally balanced engine on the phone and walked me through the purchase but they were closing, so I would need to finish online. My mechanic finally received it December 9, 2013. By Thursday Wednesday the 11th, my mechanic told me it was not the correct engine because the engine received is externally balanced. The engine caused my car to vibrate so severe, that driving is out of the question. When I called the customer service they transferred me to [redacted], their warranty department, he said I was not a mechanic so therefor I knew nothing. I had my mechanic call and the company told him they would send out a new flywheel and tension pulley to correct their mistake. We received no such parts. When I called again to talk with [redacted] I was greeted with rudeness and noncooperation. He claimed I had ordered the externally balanced motor and he could not help me. He yelled at me on the phone saying how I was stupid for not knowing what engine I needed. He swore I didn't talk to anyone of his employees. I tried to reach an agreement with him on several occasions and then asked to speak to a supervisor and he just retorted with, " I am the Boss". He said that the warranty was too expensive on his part to swap or even pay for the repairs on his engine. He advised me to pay $400 for the one-way freight to swap engines but I'd be paying for the shipping on both engines. It was supposed to be a quick installation by my mechanic but now my car has been in the shop for about 2 weeks which caused the need to get a rent a car. My mechanic's shop fees are only increasing with the need to disassemble the engine that the company was supposed to send in flawless working order. [redacted] of Southwest Engine, stated that he would not pay my mechanic to fix the company's mistake, but rather have me pay for it myself. I understand that 3 year warranty on parts and labor includes their mistake but have not received the promised warranty. On the last occasion that my father called [redacted], [redacted] told him he didn't actually know what motor he sent nor the motor that was ordered. This just increased my frustration and my belief that their services are fraudulent.Desired Settlement: I want to either receive a full refund or have the company fix their mistake. The full refund would allow me to pay the shop fees on their mistake and for the rent a car in my possession as I wait for my car repairs. If they chose to fix their mistake, I'd expect the correct engine to be sent out with no cost to me or the company pay for the shop fees required to repair the faulty engine.

Why is the business just repeating what they have already stated. As you can see they refuse to work with what so ever. This is why I went to the Bureau. I have tried to work it out with the business but they have terrible customer service. They gave me 3 year warranty plus parts and labor but they do not respect their guaranty. I expect a full refund or half refund because they do not want to work out this issue with their engine.

Review: I ordered and engine in Jan received the engine had installed and it didn't run so I called Quality used engines and asked what I needed to do and was this covered by my warranty. They told me yes and that it would have it picked up and and replaced. When I approached them about paying part of the labor the told me that my warranty had not been activated. I did not activate the warranty online because I called 6 days after it was delivered and told them it was a bad engine, and asked if it was covered under my warranty. I have tried repeatedly to contact the Customer service the only time I have gotten through he hung up on me. The engine is suppose to be out of a low mileage vehicle but there is no way to verify that this is correct, the give you a bogus email that no one answers about the VIN number of the vehicle it came out of. The warranty department when I originally asked if this was covered under my 3 year warranty said yes, I gave him my invoice number 270894 so they could look it up. Never in the discussion did they say you haven't activated your warranty, which at that point I still had 4 days left according to their warranty policy. My fault for not reading better but again the discussion they verbally told me that it was covered.Desired Settlement: They sold me a defective part that I had to remove and replace, which they acknowledged by sending me a new engine but I want them to help out with the cost of the remove and replace. I bought and engine that was low miles and if they can't prove the miles then I should get a partial refund for the engine, I paid more for a low mileage engine. They should have records and numbers to prove the case.

Response:

The Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty do not cover initial install and only covers labor after the following criteria has been met: “LIMITED LIABILITY FOR ENGINES: Parts and labor warranty begins on the 14th day & 501st mile after the part is installed.” Therefore, regardless of whether or not the complainants Free Warranty had been activated the initial install labor would not be covered nor would our representatives elude it was. We sent out the replacement engine free of charge on 3/2/2016 and the Warranty was activated on 3/10/2016 for the replacement. We now consider this claim closed for the time being.

Review: We received a motor from said company 2014 Motor had major problems. They were unrepairable, We had to order another motor and received Feb. 4, 2015. Before receiving this new motor the co rep [redacted] told me to pay the Labor costs on our credit card, and that they would reimburse us for the cost. Which I found negligent to begin with. I did so and paid for the labor. Mr. [redacted] told me that I would be reimbursed for the labor costs. We have had major problems getting this motor to work it is at this moment ( I emphasize at this moment only) working. It has been back in the shop numerous times since Feb. We heard nothing. I called and was told by Mr. [redacted] that we had not activated our warranty. Not so we sent him the information where it had been activated. Still heard nothing back . I again called and they said well we need you to fax the information. I went to Car Repair Shop and they faxed the info. again we heard nothing.. I called the company again and was told they didn't get the fax. I went back to the repair shop and waited while on the phone with this company Mr. [redacted], until all was faxed. They then said they received the fax. Time went by and still nothing. I again called company and was put on hold first time forever then hung up on. I was sent to I presume Mr. Jone's mailbox left a message for him to call. Waited no call for apx. 2 weeks. I returned the call and was sent to a full mailbox. Again I called back about a week later and could not get through immediately was hung up on and round and round again same shoddy No customer service. I finally get through to a person several days later and was told that it didn't pass the warranty and wouldn't be paid for. No explanation as to why. I called today 4/16/15 and finally got to talk to [redacted] who then told me the warranty didn't cover the labor. Mind you we were told we would be reimbursed back in February. At this point they have acknowledged what we already knew that we did indeed activate the warranty. One important point we have not seen any of the warranty descriptions and rules..They didn't tell me where to find out about what the warranty covers. Today while speaking to [redacted] because Mr. [redacted] won't talk only hangs up on me without speaking, [redacted] says today that we can't be reimbursed because our invoice from the auto repair shop is handwritten. The Repair Shop filled out their repair orders like they normally do but it is not satisfactory to Engine & Transmission World. My wife then called and spoke with [redacted] who pretended he could not hear her in hopes she would hang up. She could hear talking in the background and laughing. He, [redacted] was obviously trying to get her to hang up. She explained the situation and also told him we had never even seen the warranty. She, the wife said please mail me a warranty to my address at home. He said no we do business online only. Your labor is not covered under the warranty. She told him we don't have a warranty and we need a reason. He said," your receipt was handwritten and not from a computer program. That is how our repairman gives us his invoices and receipts handwritten He is a business not an individual. "[redacted] from Engine & Transmission World also said this to the wife, "I'm surprised that he did that to you." She said, " Who and what?" wife then said, "Are you talking about the man who put the motor in the car?' You can't imagine that he would want to charge for labor?" He said, sarcastically , "Yes!" She was then so very angry, and he was a condescending person." Of course he hung up on her. She called back was put on hold for quite a few minutes to say the least...then hung up on..called again...put on hold...then sent to a mailbox that was full of course. Wife called and then selected a different number for parts.. She asked the man the owner of the company's name and address. He did not give her the answer and she was told to go online only to correspond at swengine.com. Also she said I need a copy of the warranty we've never been sent a warranty since activation. He said, "YOU don't need a warranty." She said, "Yes I do we've never received a copy" He said it is a standard warranty and it would be online at the site. He hung up. We can't get any satisfaction they don't let anyone know anything, they are sneaky, have shoddy to no customer service. I have never in all of my years dealt with any worse business. We were never notified that the warranty was even turned down, until today when we called. Also today we after asking told where we could find the warranty, hung up on constantly, never our questions answered at all or to our satisfaction, told so many reasons down to we didn't activate our warranty in a manner to which they thought we would just give up ...throw up our hands and give up. We have been given excuses and the run around constantly. This is an unscrupulous company to say the very least.Desired Settlement: We would like to have a refund of the labor costs in a check please for the labor costs of $750.00. They should abide by what they say. They make everything seem above board but they are shady at best and the worst company we've ever dealt with.

Review: I purchased a used engine from swengines.com. They claim they offer a 3year/36,000 mile warranty on the engine if anything is wrong with it. My engine took longer to get here than advertised and when it was installed, it had no oil pressure. I contacted the customer service (very very poor service) to notify them of my situation and they said I had to send it to a shop to have the problem diagnosed. The shop diagnosed the problem down to one of two things; a bad oil pump, or bad cam bearings. After the company had received this information from the shop, I contacted swengines and they told me that a full refund would be sent to me for the purchase of the motor because the repairs was too much for them to cover. So after weeks and weeks of endless calls, I finally got a hold of someone in the customer service department. I spoke to a man name Scott. He was very rude every time I talked to him on the phone. After 5-6 weeks of dealing with him over my refund, he refunded me $472. He claims that this refund was due to the approval of the oil pump parts and labor. Though he did not approve the exchange and the oil pump ended up not being the problem, it was the cam bearings. So I paid $1245 for a junk engine and they will not hold up to their end of saying that I would receive a full refund of my purchase. I talked to Scott many times right after the shop diagnosed the engine, and he told me every time I talked to him that I would receive a full purchase refund of the engine. I am not out close to $800, plus the cost I had to dish out to afford another engine.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund sent to me as soon as possible. I also have $250 worth of accessories that I had to have to install this engine that was a waste because the engine was no good. So I would like reimbursed for that as well. If I am not refunded the rest of my full purchase amount, I will be contacting a lawyer and will be suing for a lot more than this amount.

Business

Response:

In this case the customer decided to opt with replacing the Oil Pump per the advise of his mechanic instead of repairing the cam bearings. Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, "We provide a one-time warranty claim service for our products. You may only file a single warranty claim on any product you purchase from us, without the possibility of filing any future claims on the same product." Unfortunately, this customer was ill-advised by his mechanic and no longer has an active warranty.

Review: I ordered a replacement Engine for a 2009 KIA optima. It was specified as certified, tested and with 39,260 miles on it. It was delivered to the Auto repair facility I had indicated and after some delay was installed. Upon initially starting the vehicle, the repair man called to tell me the engine was bad with a severe knock. I called GotEngines.com and was told that they would send a replacement once the old engine was scheduled and picked up for return. They could/would give no details about a replacement. In order to remove the engine for return I was required to pay the initial install fee of $1642.xx and GotEngines stated they would not cover the cost. When I went to settle up with the Auto Repair I found that the engine that had been sent had 120,790 miles on it.

I have been unemployed for 20 mos and cannot pay to install a second engine and I have zero confidence that the replacement engine would be good (requiring yet a 3rd install and fee)., I have read several reviews and complaints online since that mention similar issues with the company. They want the engine returned and on the way before they will do anything and I almost feel I have a moral obligation to not allow them to just return the bad engine to stock.

To summarize. GotEngines.com sent me an unacceptable substitution that was not functional and they have made getting any satisfaction at all impossible. I have over $3600 dollars into this and still no running vehicle and am looking at an additional $1600 with NO guarantee of having oneDesired Settlement: I would like, as a minimum, a full refund of the purchase price, and the cost of installing the faulty, unsuitable substitute engine engine ($2030+$1483.00 Labor and non-reusable parts such as oil, gaskets, etc)

Mr. [redacted] had ordered an engine from us on 8 10 2015 and we had sent him the low mile engine that he had ordered. We have the vin number of the vehicle that it came out of also we have a video of the engine running in the car before we had pulled it out and it does not make any kind of noises that Mr. [redacted] had described. So out of good faith with out any verification from any shop, we had sent Mr. [redacted] a replacement engine. Unfortunatly he did not go through the extended warranty activation process to become eligible for a labor claim, and there is nothing we can do for him on the labor. However on good faith we still sent Mr. [redacted] a relacement engine and he has been taken care of.

Review: I bought an engine online on 7/22/2013, I received a defective engine with no papers included. I called the business, and they refused to take any responsibility for it right off the bat. Due to the horrible shape it was in, and then the disparaging way I was treated on the phone, when I called about the situation, I started investigating them online. They have so many horrible reports on them, that it make me realize that they are making a lot of money as frauds masquerading behind a website promising a running motor with a great warranty.Desired Settlement: I want a refund on my credit card.

Response:

We have reviewed the customers complaint and are issuing a full refund in this case due to the mishandling of the Representative on the call. However, the engine was to be delivered in the allotted time allowed as we make no guarantees as stated on the site in the FAQs: "On average, pending volume and weather, time for shipping takes approximately 7-14 business days. " In defense of the customer, had the called been handled differently we of most likely seen a different outcome. We are dealing with the Representative who talked to the customer appropriately as this is not acceptable behavior. Once again, we apologize and will consider this complaint resolved.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: This is in regard to my invoice #[redacted] for $1045.00 for a 1987 Toyota Corolla engine purchased with a 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty. First it took this company over a month just to ship engine which tells me they had to find one first so they were advertising an engine they didn't even have so I doubt the guaranteed mileage of 70,000 miles on this engine. After it was installed in my car the engine had no power it would die unless you kept 1 foot on the gas pedal. The warranty company "Engine Last" said the warranty doesn't start till you've put 500 miles on the engine and I would have to take it up with Engine & Transmission World. After numerous unanswered calls & emails, they told me to take pics of the heat tab & send an estimate of work needed from my mechanic. My mechanic said there was no compression on the #1 valve and it needed a new intake valve. I faxed and emailed everything requested & had to do that several times as they would always say they didn't receive. I will admit this didn't all happen real fast as I own my own business and work a full time job in addition to that so I don't have a lot of extra time. After I finally got the estimate from my mechanic sent to them they told me it had been too long and they wouldn't do anything about it. I went on and paid my mechanic almost $700 to go ahead and replace the #1 intake valve. The car still didn't drive right & I didn't want to do any further damage to it so I didn't drive it. Then last month my ex-brother in-law said he'd like to buy the car and he took it to his mechanic who said the #2 cylilnder has no compression now. I called Engine Last and they said it looked like I'd had trouble with this engine since I got it. I verified that I had and he said I would have to take it up with the seller as they don't warranty engines that were not good to begin with. I called the seller and he said it had been too long since I purchased this engine and he hung up on me. I then emailed the company and asked them to tell me where in all my paperwork it stated how long I had to file a claim on the engine and they will not respond.Desired Settlement: This company sent me an engine that was no good. I paid $1,045.00 for it and spent almost $700 to have it put in my car and another $700 rebuilding it and it still doesn't run right. I just want my money back on the engine whether it's from Engine & Transmission World or Engine Last or half from each of them. After seeing all the complaints filed against this company on the Revdex.com site I know my chances are slim, but you are my only hope of getting anything back from these crooked people.

Review: Purchased engine from business, and it was bad. Engine supposedly had a certain amount of miles which was a lie. . Warranty was for 3 years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first. Engine is taping after being in car for a little over 3 months. and it is no where near 36000 miles. This company finds every excuse not to stand behind warranty. I took engine to licensed mechanic as requested, and he said timing gear was worn out. I sent diagnostic report to business, they said it was the sensors and sensors are not covered. Business also said they could not accept my invoice receipts due to being handwritten. When I had engine installed, I had to put new intake, and water pump on it.Desired Settlement: I would like refund and business should be investigated.

Business

Response:

We would like to have verification about the statement that we lied about the mileage on the engine. We receive this information from our sources and if there has been some sort of discrepancy with mileage we would like the opportunity to make sure the customer gets what they ordered. The timing gears are not covered per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty and this is an item the mechanic should of checked when installing the engine. We find most failures come from mechanics not performing due diligence when installing. Also, the Sensors are not covered per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty the customer agreed to before making the purchase. Line 1 of the the T&Cs state: "Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts..." Additionally, the T&Cs clearly state we do not accept handwritten invoices in an attempt to avoid fraud: "Any handwritten information on records, receipts or repair orders, pertaining to or documenting required maintenance are not acceptable." These are not NEW engines and therefore the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are as such and a universal standard in the Used Parts industry. We have done no wrong doing and ask this complaint be removed on the grounds of false accusations and slander.

Review: I ordered a transmission from this company April 20th paid for online with a company debit card and provide them with the vin number to match to be sure the correct one would be sent to me. The wrong one was sent. I called them the day I received it and complained. I was told that they ( Spoke to [redacted]) would swap out the transmission I had for the correct one at no extra cost to me. The next day a shipping company showed up to get the transmission with no knowledge on my part. I refused to release it. I called back to the company and was sent to voice mail and did not receive a call back. I finally did get ahold of [redacted] again the next day and he said a shipping label must be sent to me before a shipping company could pick it up, one would be sent via email. I never received it. I called back the next day and spoke to [redacted] and he said [redacted] sent out the shipping labels and before I could say anything he transferred me and I got a voice mail. I waited all day for a call back from [redacted] and finally called back late that day and got ahold of [redacted]. he stated that he personally had sent out the shipping label the day before. I said I had not received it. he got nasty and told me to check again. I told him I just had before I called and even checked the spam folder. He said he would send another one out. I have still not received it and it is now over 24 hours latter. If I had done more research I never would have dealt with this company who has had 187 complaints in the last three yrs.Desired Settlement: I just want my $925 back and they can have their transmission back.

Business

Response:

We sent Mr. [redacted] the wrong transmission on accident, we agreed to get it exchanged for him so we sent him a replacement. We had emailed him return labels accordingly and we have proof of that. He now has the corrrect transmission, and says he does not want it anymore be cause he picked one up somewhere else. We now have to pick up both transmissions and re-stock them because he does not want them anymore.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this reason for the following reasons. I had stated twice to [redacted] at Quality Transmissions that I did not want another transmission and I wanted a refund. I asked him how long it would take to refund our $925 and he said as soon as they received the transmission back they would release our $925.00. This is not true and it not happen. It tool over a week for them to send me a shipping label and then five days and to calls to have a company pick the transmission up. The transmission has been back with them for two days and we still have not received our refund.

Business

Response:

it takes 3 to 5 business days for a refund to process from when we get both transmissions.
