On June 29th, 2016, I went to EOS Fitness in Temecula, CA for a free week trialAs I was leaving that day, C*** stopped me and persuaded me to come back the following day for a complimentary personal training sessionI was not interested in personal training, but she convinced me to give it a tryJune 30, 2016, I had a short training session with C*** and spoke with her about some concerns I had...namely that I am recovering from an eating disorder and am afraid of relapsing into overexercising and other disordered behaviorsC*** is very good at her job and reassured me that we could TRY it and see how it goes despite my hesitationI was pressured to sign up for the most expensive personal training package that has three sessions/week, but negotiated for once/week, as I was still weary of how I felt about itI also signed up for a gym membership at the same time, which is what I originally planned to doIt is clear by their signage that it (the membership) is month to month,

In October I had a fruad charge on my credit card that I used for eos fitness The fruad charge caused my credit card to become deactivated because my bank issued me a new card with a new number Later that month I call and cancel my membershipI haven't used it for atleast monthsThis month may I found a collections mark on my credit report totaling $ I never received written notice of any billing issues I got a call in February saying I owed moneySo I called the gym multiple times and the manager was never available I left multiple messages for the manager and nothing happenedFinally after two weeks of calling someone I talked to said everything was taken care ofClearly it was not because I owe them $in collections They are always too busy to talk to customerssIt should be an easy fix

Signed up for three, one hour each training sessions with manager JoThe first two one hour trainings, I completed with John the trainerJohn suggested I break the last one hour trainings into two min trainingsHe never changed the computer training time from one hour to minutesThe billing department is stating I therefore had four one hour sessions instead of two one hour sessions and thirty minute sessionsToday, I talked to Jo to mention I had $left to be refunded out of the $600, I was charged extra for reoccurring trainings which I never signed up month of July and AugustBilling credited me $They will not credit me the last $150, because the manager can't provide proof by asking the trainer that he broke me last one hour session into two, thirty minute trainingsJo said billing shows I had one extra training because they are going by the appointment min block, which the trainer never changed to thirty minutes for two seperate daysI had no other choic

I signed up with EOS Fitness in Gilbert, AZ back in February of They offered me the option to get a free one-time session of personal training, or I could pay $68/month to get session per weekI decided to try the once a week session for the $68/week I was never told that it would be a months contractI was asked to sign a few boxes on the computer (which I thought were the agreement to charge the card once a week)Due to unforeseen events in April, I could no longer afford to pay the $68/week, so I asked the receptionist if I could speak to someone about stopping the charges She advised me that the person to handle that was with another client and said I could just do my workout of the day and to talk to her when I was done minutes later I went back to the front desk after my workout and she said that the person had already left for the day, but she would give him my phone number and have them call me I received a call a couple of days later from someone, but

I never stepped foot into this gymI called, went into the guy, wrote letters etc requesting for them to cancel my membershipThis went on for over a yearFINALLY they cancelled it or so they saidThen they reported it on my credit as a past due accountI called, emailed, went in, etc again and finally was told the only way to remove the mark was to pay the bill AGAIN! Because I didn't want it on my credit I paid the bill once againIt is still on my creditI got absolutely no helpI am told to contact the collections agency, then they tell me to call EOSIts a complete circusEven their sales reps acknowledge this is an issue with EOSExtremely sad!

Around May I went with my underage brother to EOS to sign him up for a gym membership so he can have something to do over the summer breakI signed and agreed for them to charge me the yearly fee and month to month payment of I recently noticed that my card was being charged for $every other week from that gymI asked my brother what was going on and he said he was signed for a personal trainer so I told him to cancel itHe told someone at the gym to cancel it and they told him they would yet I'm still being chargedI went in with him to cancel the personal trainer and wanted to cancel the membership altogether because he is going back to schoolWhen I spoke with the guy from front desk he told me we couldn't because my brother signed a contract and that the only thing I can do to stop payment was to cancel my card but that my brother would go into collections at this point I felt disrespected in the way he was talking to me and threatenedI then spoke with the manag

I cancelled my membership in July, They told me it would be finalized in August, 2016, for which I paid cancellation feesIt is now October, and they have resumed billing my checking account for non-services provided

Hi Samuel,Our standard cancellation process is that a day notice is required and there is a $feeWe are going to waive the $fee, but we do need to honor the day notice.Sincerely,EOS Fitness

I was injured during a small-group training session on March 27, I was using the weights the trainer told me to use under her supervisionMy chiropractor determined I had pulled my rib cartilageHe advised me to discontinue all exercise for several weeks to allow my rib cage to heal
I went in to the club to freeze my account and was told I needed to contact ABC FinancialI called and was told I needed to provide a letter from my doctor advising me to discontinue working outI e-mailed the letter on April 13th, I was told the letter didn't meet their specifications because it needed to specifically say I could not longer use a personal trainer and for exactly how longI countered stating my doctor's recommendation "she reduce activity to speed up the healing process" obviously can be inferred to personal training because at this point, after 1/weeks, I still cannot even move without painAnd he cannot possibly tell how long it will take for this injury to heal

My husband and I had a membership with EOS fitness in We chose to cancelWhen I called ABC financial to cancel the membership I was told I did not have an accountI asked my husband if he cancelled my membership but he said they would not allow him toI called backAgain I was told I did not have an accountI received a bill and called them back again, again I was told there was nothing in the systemAfter persistently telling them I was getting billed and did have an account they tried spelling my name multiple ways before finding my account with all of my information wrongI said I just wanted to pay it so I could cancel and be done and they told me I owed an additional fee for the annual dues and that I needed to cancel by the week before to avoid themI explained that I had called a month before and have not been able to do anything as they kept telling me I didn't have an accountAfter trying to reason with them and I paid the $They still sent it to collections

Called gym to cancel membership and wasn't told I had to fill anything out or give a day noticeI was charged an annual fee and also the monthly fee with late chargesI called the gym and they directed me to a third party billing company *** *** I called and explained the situation to them and the notified me that I had to give a notice to cancel! I just signed up days before, hoe would I know days prior I didn't want the membership?? That is ridiculous and then they also stated they want me to pay another $for the following month because they want my notice to be the day I called them! I want a refund, the lady who answered the phones said I was all setThat wasn't true at all and it cost me late fees, an annual fee and another membership fee

April 14, I paid EOS a total of $
Personal Training: $360/month xmonths
Annual Fee: $
Monthly Fee: $xmonths
April 29,my credit card was charged $(When I called customer service Brooke told me it was an annual fee and I explained to her that I had already paid an annual fee on April 14, 2016)
I have a balance of $that is due May 29, (For a monthly fee that I already paid)
I called EOS customer service department on April 29, at 4:03pm and spoke with Brooke at extension ***I also called again on May 4, and spoke with BiancaThe answer I keep on getting is that this issue will be resolved in 24-hours and it had not been resolved
EOS is charging my account doubleWhen I signed up is EOS I paid all my fees, monthly dues, annual due for months
I would also like to point out that I asked the manager Sebastian to not keep my credit card on file, and he failed to grant my requestSebastian also wrot

EOS pressured with very aggressive sales tacks my 82-year-old mom with diabetes and living on a fixed income, to use a trainerShe did not understand what they were asking her to contract to since the entire pitch is a low cost gymWhat was verbally explained was not full disclosure. Now they are bring threats and more pressure against her for payment when she repeatedly told them from the being that she had very little incomeWhat kind of people run EOS? You can't flush these peopleAre they so desperate that they have to prey old the elderly on fixed incomes and that are worried about their health? This situation has caused her to stress and worry

Hi ***,I am sincerely sorry for the experience that you have had with EOS Fitness, and appreciate you bringing it to our attentionWe are taking action at the corporate level to ensure that this does not happen again. We have refunded $to the card that you have on fileYour account has been
cancelled and you will not incur any further charges from EOS Fitness.Sincerely,EOS Fitness

I had a membership with this gym for personal trainingThe membership contract was from March 2015- March I fully intended to go through with the entire contract when I signed itIn December my husband received orders to Quantico, VA and we movedWe cancelled all of our memberships with his active duty military orders including the one I had with EOS FitnessWe recently checked our credit report and it shows my account being in collections for $and that the account was sent to collections in March We called member services who outsources to "*** ***l" and they told us that they have no record of our account being in collectionsWe called the collections agency who is listed to own our account currently and they won't answer eitherI have called and mailed letters to "*** *** ***" and have had no results in contacting themThe agency is "*** *** ***" in Pasadena, CAThis is outrageous and absurd that I would be placed in collections for a gym members

Club had just opened up in May and I did not step foot in gymI was refferred to club and I dicussed my current situation ( I'm several months pregnant, I work hours a week and won't be able to make it to gym)Spoke to a staff member and was then directed to ManagerManager stated, " ok I will take care of it, we will freeze your account for a fee of per month" rather than the $17+ per monthTherefore, I believed managers word goldenHowever, that was not the case I was still getting charged $17+ per month, then I was told I have to call a number to freezeI have been with hour fitness, la fitness and never have I had this issueI just switched over to EOS due to cheaper price and convenience, but it is my fault (You get what you pay for)I spoke to a floor supervisor ( Stacey of ABC financial), it seemed like that it was my fault for not knowing the number to her department and that they could not do anything regarding what I was told by the manager
In adddition, Stacey stated if I wanted to cancel I will be charged fee on top of feeMy advise is to always ensure you get things in writingI have never stepped foot inside EOS and I will not refer any of my family or friends thereI made a $+ mistake of fees with no service render just higher blood pressure and heart rateI am just glad the nightmare is over

Hi ***,I apologize that Cody did not tell you over the phone that an Annual Rate Guarantee Fee is applied to all membershipsIt truly was $to Join, and then the next billing cycle includes the $annual rate guarantee feeWe cannot waive that fee, but if you are still interested in
joining, the $enrollment fee special is still being offered today, 11/30.Sincerely,EOS Fitness
