I started the process of a refi last yearI was approvedEliz was great however once I was approved they set me up with a loan specialist Omara worst experience ever I would always get generic answers or replies from herWeeks would pass and I wouldn't hear anything ,so I would call only to be told the loan is moving along and if they needed anything they would let me knowI would give it a couple weeks and call and then and only then when I called she would need something newI was also told my closing cost when I first applied was a quarter of what they wanted close to closing timeSix months into this process I said just forget itThey had to extend my lock in rate a few timesThen they wanted to change it from a 15yr to a yrto lower closing costsI didn't go for itI waited approximately months and contacted them againThe interest rate was supposed to be lower (not) I delt with a new group of employees somewhat better but still not truthfulMathew stated to me that if I did a yr my closing would be about the same amount as my current mortgage (lie) he stated if I wanted the yrit would be like 1/of my current mortgage paymentsThe process did not take as long a little over two months the second time aroundI am still upset that with a 30yrthe closing was more then I was told when I contacted them the first time I applied and that one was a yrI would not have refinanced if my current rate wasn't 1/% and me wanting to lower my paymentsIf you don't have much choice then use Quicken other wise shop around
I just closed on a house and was more than pleased with the process thru Quicken The only problem was the Title company my agent wanted me to use instead of Quickens preferred companies Submission of document was easy and response was almost immediate through out the process
Overall process was efficient and personnel were responsive Online document submission was user friendly Loan application phase was very good; the closing phase seemed less efficient but was generally acceptable I would recommend Quicken Loans
When my bank gave me a hard time even though I qualified Quicken loan approved my request to refinance my homeI was so happy with the service I received that I encouraged two family members to refinance their homes and they both did and thanked me for sharing my experience with Quicken loans with them! The folks are so professional and on point! Thank you Christine and the crew for all your help
