We have done business with Quicken Loans for several years. The experiences is always great. They deliver on commitments and you know all the way through the process where you stand. No surprises. Very professional in all respects.
We were using Quicken for our existing home loan as well, so wanted to stay with them with our new home purchase when we were asked to relocateI have to say the experience was greatI thought it would be harder to close one and immediately start a new, but the people at Quicken took care of everything and it went very smooth and we were able to close on the new house on time
My experience with Quicken Loans started off as average The loan officer was friendly, but very quickly it became apparent that he had the sales acumen of a really bad used car salesman Transparent techniques, really corny, and the whole experience became nauseating I was working with other lenders at the time as I shopped around for my mortgage I settled on one lender which was not Quicken, and when I notified the guy I was working with that I no longer wanted to work with Quicken, the calls increased in frequency and became harassing Other people at Quicken began calling as well despite me telling them multiple times that I was closing on a loan the following day At one point, the original person I worked with (Marz Debowski) left me a voicemail stating that there was a problem with my credit and I needed to call back immediately Subsequent conversations with this person involved me telling them to stop calling but he never mentioned my 'credit issues', of course there are none A quick internet search reveals that I am not alone in my harassment by Quicken Loans It seems to be their forte I would pay higher rates than give business to an operation like this
The mortgage approval process was incredibly fastI must say that the broker and all the staff was extremely attentive and responded fast to any all all inquiries The actual real estate part was horrible but it really had little to do with Quicken and more the seller and appraisal process
I found it was easy to work with Quicken, each of the different phases were as easy as the firstQuestions were answered very quickly, never more than a dayIt was very quick from start to finish and I would recommend Quicken highlyThank you for a great process

So as with most folks I was trying to lower mortgage payment and get some cash out of my equity to pay off some lingering billsAlthough I did end up closing with QuickenLoans I wouldn't do it again They were not totally upfront with me with my refiThey ended up buying down my interest rate and did not tell me that's what they were doing(I read it in the refi statement)In the end my APR ended up being more than when I started the process with themAlso it took me nearly months to close all the while they told me it wouldn't take longThey say it was because of an appraiser delay(apparently the appraiser decided to not file his report after already coming to my house for the appraisal) but I'm looking into whether it was actually the appraisers fault or QuickenLoans just dragged it out and ordered another appraisal

This was my third dealing with Quicken Loans - two mortgages and one re-fi. All the transactions were handled very smoothly and professionally. All transactions (except for the closing) were performed online. I could read the requests and upload information after business hours, which was very efficient for me. All in all, I am very happy with Quicken Loans and highly recommend them.them.
I am shopping around for a re-fi and spoke with an individual at Quicken Loans yesterday. After providing all of my information and allowing them to run a credit report, the customer service agent provided me with information on a 15 year option. I asked for the numbers for 20 and 30 year and was told that the best plan for me was the 15. After repeated requests for the 20 and 30 year rates and repeated requests to speak with a manager, he finally told me the rates. Over the course of our conversation he told me that based on my credit report, he was in a better position than me to make a decision about my finances. After terminating the call, a "lead" called to try to resolve the issue and, when told that I had no intention of doing business with Quicken Loans, suggested that they could offer me "the best rates and all the discounts." After I terminated that call by clearly stating again that I was not going to do business with them, the original person called back. Again, I reiterated my intent not to do business with them and terminated that call. This morning, I received an email from the original person asking me to check out all of his positive customer reviews. I replied by requested that he cease communications with me. Since then, I have had several people involved in "client experience" and social media contact me and offer to discuss options with me. I shared with her what happened yesterday, reiterated my intent not to do business with them ever, and hope that that will be the end of it. To be fair, when I told the last person I spoke to what I was told by the first person, she did seem very understanding and genuinely apologetic.
This company has charged me $500.00 appraisal fee and told me its refundable after closing but did not mention anything about the appraisal fee which is not refundable if nothing works out...He made me sign the agreement about it rushing me and quickly charged my card and fail to mention that its not refundable if the process did not work out. They kept my money and close the case .
I was very surprised at the speed that I was contacted. Initially Mr. Dan Klinck was the first person that I had contact with him. I could not believe how much was done just by our first conversation. I was referred by Mr. Klinck, to Mr. Jeff Hurley. Mr.Hurley was very nice and thorough. I had occasion to speak to other staff and they were all very nice and courteous. I closed within a month. I am very surprised that all was done so quickly. I had even a notary come to my house to get the documents signed. Your company's name is very accurate, and I do appreciate in the manner that I was treated. Thank you, Rosa Flores Castellon
Im not likely to recommend quicken in the futureThe interest rates were not better than anywhere else, it's very fast moving high pressure closing tactics, the do not make good on the financial promise (i.eGetting your $deposit back at closing when what they actually do is give you a loan for More than the value of your mortgage and at like they're doing you a favor by sending you a check you have to pay interest on - also I was referred by a silver card friend and should have received $from quicken for that, I told them and they brushed it off like "we'll address that later...which never happened) the appraiser they used was very unprofessional, down right lied to me about repairs in my home and misstated my property size (under evaluated it by an acre- said it was .87, my back yard alone is over an acre)I spoke to no less than different people none of which was the person praising over my account/ loan and after almost daily calls leading up to the closing I have recieved zero calls after the close The two benefits to me are the underwriter came to my house, and I can pay my bill onlineThey did state that they won't sell my loan which would be a positive but who knows it's true or not Next time, I'll simply look locally so I have one person within driving distance to hold accountable
Originally refinanced my mortgage with Quicken, and I had a decent experience I then refinanced again because THEY called me and said it would make since to get out of my FHA (remove mortgage insurance premium) and into a conventional But to do it cash free, I would have to take points, and go from to for a rate They were very clear in stating it would be easy and hassle free to refinance AGAIN in months to drop the rate back down Needless to say, they would NOT even take a look at refinancing again after months I checked with another lender, and they could get me refinanced However, once they pulled my credit, Quicken (who monitors your credit transactions somehow) called me immediately to try and match the offer They actually gave me a slightly worse offer (same rate of 3.785, but I would not be getting the escrow check differential in the mail of $or so after closing) With that said, I still was okay with staying as it would be more hassle free We just had our house appraised months earlier during the last REFI and posted a 199K value This time around we posted a 189K after adding 10K paver steps out front This inaccurate appraisal allowed them to ask for money at closing, or they would raise the rate I was not okay with it, so they GLADLY closed the loan out Very disappointed they could not assist in making the original terms happen, especially when THEY did the last refinance with a value of 199K etc I am currently looking to switch out from them, as I have dealt with too many people, and they lured me back in, just to disappoint Stay local is my recommendation
