I can give Quicken Loans an A+ for refinancing my loanEverything was done over the net on my computer with only the final signing being done at my homeA notary came to my home at my appointed time and date and was able to show me all of the papers concerning my new loan He explained everything in detail and it was all completed in a reasonable amount of time
I wound up dealing with Quicken Loans after I filled out a form online to see if I could get approved for a loan to buy my first home The next day I was contacted multiple times during work and I told each representative that I would not be available until after 5:p.mto speak with them For a week straight they would call at least times a day, during work hours and set an appointment to call me at 5:p.m No one would ever call me After about weeks of non stop harassment, I was finally able to speak with someone in the evening I told the representative that I was trying to see how far away from home ownership I was and what I would be approved for and the interest rate None of this information was provided to me, just a lot of fast talk before I was told my credit score needed to be a few points higher before they could approve me, and forwarded me to a credit specialist to help get my score up I explained that I had just paid off credit cards and a vehicle and everything should hit my credit in about a week A week later I was contacted again and found out that my credit score was now high enough to get a loan The loan agent confirmed my credit was now where it needed to be and asked if we had found a home and I told him there was one I was interested in I sent him a link to the home so he could check the address with the USDA database to see if it qualified for a USDA loan He called back a little later and said he couldn't get me approved for THAT home because it wasn't in an approved area, but to use the website to check other address and let him know when I found a home I liked I was left with the impression that I had been approved for a loan and just needed to find a home That night I emailed the loan agent and asked how much I was approved for and what my interest rate would be so I would know what price to look at in homes I also hired a realtor to assist me in finding a home in a USDA approved area The next day I called the agent and was informed that they were accidentally using my fiances income with mine (he wasn't going to be on the loan) and because of this that they cannot approve me for a loan because my income is not enough to qualify for a loan specifically designed for low income families (because I have student loans) The agent knew my fiance would not be on the loan from our first conversation At no point in dealing with Quicken loans were any of my questions answered with an honest, straight forward answer They always talked around my questions and didn't give me any actual answers until they told me I was too poor to buy a home This has been the absolute worst customer service experience of my life and now I have hard inquiry's on my credit when they should have realized in our first call that my income was too low to get approvedI would not recommend Quicken Loans to my worst enemy
I expected some level of stress during the process of refinancing
I went to other lenders for helpNone even came close to the level of customer service than quickenloans
They made the whole process easier
Getting a mortgage is never an entirely easy experience, is it? That said, QL did an awful good job Perfect? No But it was as easy as such an onerous transaction can be, I think Not sure it was the cheapest option either, but as an investment mortgage, I did not have a lot of choices

They actually put the wrong property on the loanWe went to sell that property but couldn't because the loan was on itWe had to hire an attorney to have it changed to the correct propertyThen they changed it and forged our signatures!! They refuse to do anything to reimburse us for all our problemsThey just don't careI would never consider getting another loan with Quicken
I found the Quicken personal very professional and knowledgeableThey are very responsive and pay attention to the details.It was a smooth operationI greatly appreciate their work!

My experience was goodApplication process was easy and they were able to process loan and approval in short timeOnly problem was distribution of moneyApparently my paperwork was archived before they completed all they needed to process payments causing a week’s delay but otherwise the process went off without a hitchI would recommend Quicken Loans to my friends and family
Absolute worst decision I have ever made was choosing Quicken Loans as my mortgage company We signed a contract stating we would be LOCKED in an interest rate of at a loan amount of Later they randomly raise that amount to 4.99, and when I talk with them about lowering it to the amount we discussed when we signed all the documents (kind of locking me into using them as my lender due to how close closing was), they wanted us to "buy down" our interest ratecharging us (3.5% of loan)
There is shady shady stuff going on here, and the miscommunication is unreal, I can talk to a guy on the phone and all of my documents reflect something completely different than the conversation we had
Communication is poor, they make PROFITABLE decisions once all documents are signed with the intent to move forwardI strongly regret picking this mortgage company
The Quicken Loans team was awesome! I had a fantastic experience refinancing our home, and was able to consolidate/pay off all our credit card debt at the same timeIt's not an exaggeration to say that this changed our financial futureI am so gratefulI would gladly recommend them to anyone
