They really did everything they had to do to get me my house and I couldn't thank them enough! Thank you Blaine, will, Stephen Melanie and everyone else who made it all possible! It was a long process and sometimes nerve wrecking but we all hung in there and got me my house
Outstanding experience the easiest, quickest no nonsense refi ever, including the best fixed interest rates, terms & waived appraisal fee Closed on my mortgage in weeks with no hasslesAhmed was so professional returned all calls promptly very knowledgeableChase needs to take lessons from Quicken loansAhmed & staff are customer focusedstars to all of you for your superior service
This is the third time I have financed with Quicken Loans and each time it has been an easy and painless process They handle everything with efficiency and make it easy for the consumer
The entire process was well explained, and I received excellent customer service in answering my questions Documents were only requested once, and handoffs between departments were well explained and smooth
Quicken Loans (QL) responsiveness is impressiveI entered something online and was immediately contactedI decided to go with QL after checking with my current lender for a RefiThe process was quick and my only concern was the amount of emails and texts and calls I was getting whenever QL needed something - it was overkill and at times annoyingMy only complaint - I had to do a split closing due to my spouse being temporarily out of stateI was informed about a $fee for the split closing late in the gameThe fee to me was a nuisance fee QL should absorb given the amount of interest I will eventually pay to them
We had a very good experience with Quicken Loans They were very friendly, helpful, and professional They guided us through the entire process and made it very easy
Overall the gentlemen, Chris and John were always positive and at the end Chris was able to lower some of the fees that seemed pretty excessive especially since we were unaware of the cost of the loan to begin withPast Chris it took weeks to get the homeowner insurance cleared as it seemed to be lost in the cracks and at the last minute John figured out the amount covered was not enough to cover the loanOnce that was revealed I immediately called my insurance co and they immediately raised the amount for me and contacted Quicken for the follow upI later learned I didn't need to raise my insurance, which will cost me more now since I impoundedAll along there was a document that could have stated the replacement cost and kept my amount the sameThis caused a big delay due to ignoranceWe never asked for a car to be payed off and it was added anyway after we had already explained what debt to include and had to keep repeating which debts were supposed to be includedThe timing was so far behind I developed additional costs while waiting to closeThis meant a loan cost during the period where everyone else is offering free loans an 2.5% - %So yes, we feel victimizedBut oh, they were so very nice, so it was easy to be misleadThe guys that isAny girls I spoke with (office support staff) were really snippyALWAYS with an attitude and irritated like they knew everything and I didn't understand anythingI would attempt to explain but they where condescending, dismissive and appeared to not listen to anything I would say Guess what, My child is a mortgage specialist and watched the entire processShe is disgusted with us for using quicken but at the time her company was in a merger and I didn't want to bother her (she's done this for me times before)So CautionYour loan will be on a conveyor belt of staff and you don't have any one person keeping trackTo be expected at this large a level I supposeI ASKED WHY I DIDNT GET A NO COST LOAN THAT THEY ADVERTISE = Answer I dont qualifyInteresting that 700+ fico and low Loan to Value wouldnt qualify me HMMM
I ALSO WAS VERY CLEAR I DID NOT WANT TO PAY DOUBLE INTEREST TO BOTH THE OLD AND NEW LOAN OVER A HOLIDAY WEEKEND = So guess what they did and guess who paid for that mistake as well?
Quicken has never been anything other than a problem for my wife and IWhen we first bought our hour it was an odd situationWe were buying the house from my mother-in-law who was on disability and couldn't afford the house and we were paying all of the billsBecause of that we had to make many modifications to the house to get it to pass inspection and pay out of pocket for itAfter making said modifications we assumed, and were assured multiple times over, that the closing process would be quickIt was notWe started the process in August and didn't get it finally closed until the day before ChristmasNo matter how many documents we gave them they always magically needed something else and the day we were supposed to close they sent an email to my mother-in-law asking he to bring a check for several thousand dollars for closing fees, that obviously being on disabilities she did not haveThey had to rework the loan so that we had to pay the fees and when we finally did go to close and they sent a notary to the house she only had half the documents and she had to use our printer to print them outThat may not be Quickens fault but still it quite unprofessionalFast forward almost two years and Quicken calls my wife out of the blue and says that we have been good customers and they have reviewed our account and have seen that our credit scores have risen, at no time did we authorize them to check our scores so either this was a lie or they did it without our consent, and they would like us to refinanceMy wife's first question is how much is this going to cost? The response: It will cost you nothingSecond question: We are looking at buying new vehicles How is this going to affect this process? The response: It isn't going toThis was three months ago They had to appraise the house again, which we were fine withWe did get two used vehicles and gave them the loan information times before they accepted itThe kept asking for personal information over and over along with bank statements and pay stubs (nothing has changed in the less than two years we've had the loan through them)And all of a sudden we needed to come up with $1000+ for "closing costs"Four times they asked us for these "closing costs" and each time when we pushed back we would get a call from a "Customer Solutions Specialist" who would tell us it was a mistake and we didn't owe thatThis final time they asked for the money I told them I wasn't paying itOur account representative sent me a document said the money was not for closing costs but for the rest of our property taxes for the year, even though the new loan would be through them and we already had an escrow account that we had been paying into and would continue to do so with this loan, and the document gave us a breakdown of the new loanreviewing the document I found that the amount that the loan was for was almost $MORE than what we currently owed on our mortgage dues to fees that were owed for the loan processI called the "Customer Solutions Specialist" and he told me that there was a mistake and we didn't have to pay off our property taxes because they were prepaid at the beginning of the year and the $fee was a mistake and we wouldn't owe thatI asked about the $in fees that we were not told about, and we were told from the beginning that there wouldn't be any fees, and I was told that it was the fee for the loan process and by doing this loan process that they were going to save me $10,I told him that this doesn't make much senseUsing their own amortization calculator on the Quicken site I inputted the numbers and it only showed me that I would be saving $in interest and that was with it taking into account that I always pay more than what my monthly payment is so I'm not sure where I am saving $10,by refinancing when they are lowering my interest rate by less than half a percent and then increasing the loan amount but more than $When I explained this to him he got an attitude with me and tried to force the issue and I told him to cancel the refinance request because I would not be signing or uploading any documents from now onHe told me he would if that's what I wanted and I said I did and he hung upI will never deal with this company againHopefully in the next years we will be moving to a bigger house to supports our growing family and we'll go through a real bank
Being a realtor, I've dealt with Quicken Loans on several occasionsI finally got to see how they work in person as I've just closed on a house for myselfThe process was extremely professional and the communication with staff was second to noneWhen I am ready to invest again my first call will be to Quicken Loans

Overall I have to say that they did a great job for me
