A Quicken Loans Repwas available to come to the residence I was at , and I made my closing on time In all aspects I found them professional, transparent , and pleasant to work with

I applied for a loan through Quicken LoansI was upfront and honest in answering all their questions, and even told them that we are real estate investors, but we are selling our primary home, and we are downgrading so we can save more money to use for the businessI was investigated and accused, and was told that I wasn't really going to sell my house but was going to rent it out, and that there was "insurmountable evidence" that we were using the loan for our businessThe person who was supposedly "helping" us came to the conclusion that because of the "evidence", they can only offer us a loan with 20% downpayment, which is what is offered for investment propertiesHow did he come to this conclusion? He checked our facebook page and saw that we were marketing our primary property as a "flip"I explained to him that it was a marketing strategy, and if he noticed, the post did not have our address because we don't want the public to know where we liveIt was to hype our buyers into contacting our agent so that we can have more buyersI guess it's hard to understand an investor's strategy if one has not encountered investors who are homeownersIt did not occur to this person that if I wasn't being honest, I could have just not told him that I was a real estate investor and could have hidden all related information to himBut I did not because we are people of integrity and we are honestI guess this person has had a lot of experience with fraudulent people and concluded that we are the same without giving us a chance to prove ourselves I was deeply offended by Quicken Loan's premature accusations, it shows a lack of professionalism and lack of ability to filter through factsHe made me submit all our personal information online only to call me back a few days later and accuse us of informationBe careful when applying a loan with this company as they may question and investigate you too and come up with stupid conclusions and accusationsThey can rob you of the opportunity to take advantage of loans that you may be eligible forThere are other lenders out there who are more understanding and are not judgmentalDo your research
Overall, Quicken Loans offered a good process, but in need of polishing if they are to advertise about their speedI did find Quicken to be a better option than our credit union because their closing fees were lower by $and I got a lower rate for the same loan Two Issues: 1.) The client service coordinator did not look into our file to verify if they had received all our paperwork, and then called us to notify us that it was never sentThis was not trueI asked her to check, she stated she did and it was not sentI forwarded her an email from Quicken showing that the document WAS sent, as verified by their officeThis sounds trivial, but this was on her plate and she did not process the papers on time, resulting in a day delay in closing our loan 2.) Also I had to call Quicken to request a phone call from the notary to confirm closing timeQuicken left me a phone message with the notary's phone number and told ME to "reach out to" the notaryThis is not customer service! While those communication issues were irritating, the overall loan process was efficientI submitted a review to Quicken and hopefully they will address those issues so the next customer will have a more seamless experience
