I absolutely LOVE Quicken LoansHave refinanced times with themAlways friendly, extremely helpful reps like Ronald McRae, Alejando "Alex" Sanchez and Dana TumerkanThe only thing I'm not to crazy about is having to do a SURVEY EVERYTIME I ask a questionBut then again, I understand that you need to constantly know that your employees are friendly and helpful
The refinance process was so streamlined! Any documentation needed was uploaded to a web serverNo overnighting documents or driving across townIt was very simple due to their realtime online instructions and direction From first phone call to signing the mortgage papers on my dining room table, my refinance took only days! Thanks, Quicken!
• Do not go with Quicken Loans, for they claim they are a lender, but reality, they are no more than an underwriter for Fannie Mae, for they do not hold the paper that they claim to loan They will sell off your loan within hours of closingThe whole process is deceptive from the beginning, and they will charge you an upfront fee of $and run your credit before you even say "yes." The whole process is one big stress machine, for they will collect paperwork, and then lose itThey will offer an initial loan amount and then decrease it, based upon your supposed debt to income ratio I started with a loan of $267,000, and then they changed it to $212,all because $more a month was added to my student loan payment, even though my loan was deferred for lifeMy favorite was the appraisal, for the first appraisal came back at the purchase price, of course, and then the magic Fannie Mae SPRD system challenges the appraisal, claiming that the price was not supportedThen there is a second appraisal ordered (by the way, they add an additional $charge to your escrow account after they said "it was on their dime") The second appraisal came in at $371,using homes in the comparable that was like comparing apples to oranges, and when the original appraisal was done, it came in at $387,They did everything in their power to get out of this loan, for I was putting down 43%, so it did not matterThey even gave me conditional approval where I made the conditions, but they kept moving the markers, and two days before closing, they pulled the rug from under me, stating that they could not approve the loan, despite giving me a written approvalWhat is so surprising is that was with an credit score They call me and tell me the day before closing to pay off my student loan debt or get a cosigner, for they refuse to take any risk whatsoever, despite having a perfect credit record and putting 43% downI went to a different lender, where I had to have another appraisal done, and the third appraisal came in at $388,for the same exact house only a week laterThis tells me that the second appraisal done by Quicken was questionable in nature, for some odd reason this appraisal came back almost a week later when the original came in hours later, and they asked me to sign an appraisal waiver They had the nerve to ask me how I was paying for the hotel costs, and even though I told them that my costs were free due to paying by points, they demanded I show them proof of itThey did everything they could to get out of this loan because they would not make money on their end This lender is nothing more than an overpriced loan broker claiming to be a lender on TV and onlineThey do not fund your loan, they underwrite for Fannie Mae and sell to them on the open market falsely claiming to the public that they are a direct lender, which is far from the truth They did not care that I have spent $14,to move all my belongings from Los Angeles to Charlotte with having no place to unload it, and left me in a situation where I was stranded in a hotel with no place for my familyThey offered me no compensation for my loss and stress they put me throughThey are not reliable or trustworthy, so buyer beware!
I applied for refi under VA loan, allowing to take 100% if he equity out if the house, my house appraised at 320K, but the loan was for only 330K, shorten me 20K, why why why, if it appraised at 290K, would they have refi 300K, hell no, so why then was I cheated out of 20K ????
I had wonderful experience with the entire Quicken Loan teamEverything went smoothly and my closing occurred within the expected time I loved their email system alerts/platform which keep syou updated on the progress of the loan and tells you what items you need to submit I have never seen a system to compare with this in ease of use I highly recommend Quicken Loans
I had a positive and efficient experience with all that I worked with at Quicken Loans I feel they were forthright and timely with their responses and the information they provided From my prospective they did earn a star review!

Quicken worked with me to enable me to consolidate a 1st & 2nd mortgage, pay delinquent property taxes & establish an escrow account. It wasn't as long a process and thought it would be. I am completely satisfied with the manner in which they handled my account. Had used them before, when it didn't work out, but this time everyone with whom I had contact went to bat for me 110%.
Love it! Refinancing was a breezeI filled out the online form, was told I had to call them to be approved because we had a second mortgageCalled, took care of it no problem, and the process was seamlessI would definitely use them again!
I kept seeing advertisements that Quicken Loan had great programs for First Time HomebuyersI submitted an application and I received a call really quickI spoke with the first representative who said everything looked great and he was going to talk to his supervisorHis supervisor then contacted me and explained two great loan optionsOne was a 3% down option with no PMI, and the other was a 1% down option with PMIHe told me I qualified and that I wouldn't have to come more than $out of pocket after my earnest money and good faith depositIt was a struggle every step of the wayNothing was ever explained to meI then got transitioned to another person, the underwriterI had to submit a pay stub almost every week without reasonI was then told my property taxes were three times as much as the quote I received from my tax assessors' officeAnother gentleman contacted me and told me there was nothing I could do and that the single-family home I was buying couldn't be purchased yet because it was a condo (it's not a condo.) The 2nd guy I spoke with contacted me again and said he was going to work everything outThe rude gentleman called me again and said my homeowner's insurance was now twice as much as quoted and that I no longer qualified and was not approved for the mortgageI spent another hour on the phone with the supervisor who said there was a mistake and my insurance was accidentally added twiceAround weeks before closing the supervisor contacts me and says that they no longer can honor the 1% down option and that I'm going to have to put 3% downThis would have been nice to know a month earlierThey then hide origination points, tell me they're going to cover it, and then when I go over my closing disclosure, days before I close, I see they aren't covering the entire costI was told I'd be paying $3,out of pocket and I ended up paying $moreThe whole process I was toyed with and lied toI wish I had known more about the entire mortgage process from the beginningThey continuously made me believe that everything that happened was just a simple error, when in reality they baited me with the 1% down option so I would sign on and ask for more money when I had no other choice in order to close on my house on time because my current lease was upIt was completely miserable and I was in tears every step of the wayThey are not the lender you think they are
My re_finance mortgage took a little longer than I expected, partly because of a very old computer, and an employee vacation, but I am pleased with the results, and have Recommended you o a friend who is in the process of doing the same
Quicken Loans tricked me into saying yes to running my credit. And also ran my husband's credit without his permission at all. We have since contacted a lawyer
