Rachel fully admitted this yet STILL stood behind the dishonest unethical company that she works forAt the end of the day she is a good person, I can tell it is the company she works for that I would NEVER do business withI will make sure to tell everyone I can to BEWARE!! As a first time home buyer with an excellent credit score, Quicken Loans has made this the most stressful and most difficult processes everFrom jump there was always miscommunication with my banker provided to meI had to consult with his supervisor or numerous occasions about the difficulties I was having understanding certain things dealing with the mortgageIt was always a task for myself and realtor to get in contact with the bankerI had to call in about that as wellWhat even prompted this complaint is I’ve been blocked on Facebook for stating my issues along with I have a credit score and I was given a good faith estimate of my interest rate at 5.625% where they charged me $for a point to bring it down to 4.625%! They also quoted me around $16,to close not to mention the 3% I put down with my builder! They couldn’t tell me how all these costs were calculated! I immediately began shopping around for other lenders and they couldn’t believe what QUICKEN LOANS are doing to people like myselfIt’s way more of things I can name but that was the main issueDO NOT work with Quicken they trick you by selling you on there instant equity and other things that sound good but you will pay for somehow in the end!

Quicken Loans did a great job for me from the initial mortgage preapproval letter received within hour to the closing Everyone I dealt with was friendly, professional and extremely helpful in making sure I understood every step I would use them again and recommend them to my friends and family Even the realtors and title agent stated at the closing how timely they were in meeting all deadlinesThey had my closing papers to the title agent days before the date of closing Awesome job!!

They practice complete bait and switch techniques After giving me a quote for a home loan I was asked to give a $deposit, which I didShortly after my loan estimate jumped $,which I struggled with but agreed to procedeA few weeks later the appraisal on the property came back $8,lower than the purchase price ,and I was told I would need to cover this costI did not have $18,more than I was originally quoted, so I had to back out of the loan and my dream homeI asked Quicken when my deposit would be refunded and was told it went to the cost of the appraisalI explained that I was never told that the deposit was for an appraisal , that the deposit was to ensure I wouldn't shop around with another lender at this pointThey apologized that I was told this but they have a document I signed (in the mountain of documents I signed for this loan) saying the deposit was for an appraisal Stick with a local lender or a bank, quicken loans doesn't care about their customers,they only care about $$
