My experience with quicken was positiveThe process was rough mostly because it was an cha loan and the requirements are dauntingErin was amazing and always available for every question till the endI think Jason who was in charge until closing was also great but when I wanted to bail quickly was ready to dismiss meI then emailed Erin she directed me to someone to keep me on taskThe whole process is not fun but my outcome was great I loved the online experience and being able to use my phone very helpful
I took a chance and contacted Quiken Loans in order to refinance my home The personnel that I encounter were exceptional They were professional, knowledgeable, patient and efficient Everything that was told to me on how the process worked was spot on MrAaron Shook was the gentleman that handled my mortage and took me through the whole process The team that was assembled on my behalf kept me informed every step of the way The experience was quite pleasurable If I had to do this over again, I would have picked Quiken Loans to finance my home from the very beginning This is a wonderful organization with personnel to match I give this organization a "10", they have the expertise and treat people with the upmost respect
First off, I just want to say, I am educated, intelligent, have excellent credit and 90k in school loans
I have been dealing with quicken loans for many long months, at least now, and they had me and my family of jumping through rings of fire to get a deal "almost" done, at a 275k pre-approval letter in the Boston area(getting my family's hopes up)
School loans and FHA do not work trust me
Once Iris from quicken loans realized what a school loan is, she said that FHA changed the rules and my total debt of school loans = 1% in my debt to income ratio(90k = $per month) months after they "preapproved" my loan(many houses looked at and walked through)
In the end, Iris told me that she could get me 70k to buy a home because FHA changed the rules and she was not "aware of it" until now Iris told me many times to fight with Fedloan to get the payment down and I did...Right were it needed to be, then she dropped my loan completely saying she could only get me 70k towards a home, as an adult, I did not swear or cuss and told her I could easily buy a car for that amount with 1% of the hassle she put me through
Do I recommend this company? No
Do I think this company is honest? No
Do I think they will actually help other people? Yes, if that person has patience, excellent credit and no common sense to go to another lender that actually gives a damn about their clients
Immediately after I got off the phone with Iris at quicken loans another lender I have been dealing with gave me everything I needed with 0% hassle
Talk to your nearest credit union, it will save you time, aggravation andoh yeah...MONEY!

The two Experts I worked with from the start , couldn't have helped me more, they were very helpful and very patient with my extremely unlimited computer knowledgeA HUGE THANKS TO NOAH DAND TRAVIS W I feel they went way beyond to help me, but I believe this is just their BUSINESS PRACTICE EXCELLENT, FABULOUS, it went so smooth I've done business with a local Credit Union that I belong to for over years to consolidate bills I had to supply them with LOTS of documents, they know me and it was a small amount compared to the amount refinance with Quicken IT WAS A PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM, DON'T PLAN ON MOVING AGAIN BUT IF I DID THEY WOULD BE MY FIRST CALL FOR FINANCING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I contacted Quicken loans to get a loan to purchase my first house, their representative asked my permission to run my credit and see how much money I would qualify forI had already picked a house that was on the market for $170,so that's how much I told him I wanted, if my credit was good enoughAfter pulling my credit, he said that I qualify for that amount and he would send me a pre-approval letterThe letter came and it was in the amount of $115,When I asked what happened to the amount he said he'd get back to me with a second pre-approval letter that would show that amountTwo months later, I get the THIRD pre-approval letter in the amount of 161, 500, which was still not enough and certainly NOT the amount we had discussed all alongI contacted a local loan officer to get a second opinion and I looked at my credit report and it turns out that they did a hard credit inquiry times in a month period!!! Only the first time did they ask for my permission to do soWhen I contacted Quickenloans and asked about the issue, they told me that according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act they could check my credit as many times as they needed to for the whole duration of the process, even if I didn't give them permission to do so!! I asked him where in the reporting act it said something like that and he told me it was too big of a document for him to point out the specific place!! They just assume that customers would know that, without anybody telling us soMy credit was excellent when I started the process and it went down by points!! Not sure if they're doing this on purpose so they can offer you lower amounts or higher interest rates, but it doesn't seem fair and hardly legalBuyer beware!!
