I recently decided to buy my first home since we have been renting for the last several yearsThe initiator of the Loan was super nice and explained everything to me so I was happy for a while knowing I had been approved for a mortgageI was building a custom home after the approval and explained this from the onsetThe builder however had base models from which the customization is based onFunny enough Quicken Loans decided to send out the appraiser on first day I told them I found the house I wantedThis was at a point when the house had only a frame and studs, nothing else insideThe appraiser brought back or so comparables and they were all the same price because none was sold yetThey were all baseNote that no houses are ever the same anyway I took the time to explain to these guys after that there is a lot of customization and was going to provide them all documentations and comparable relative to my type of homeThese guys were not ready for any of thisThey read to me scripts for days while I attempted to get them to earn my businessLook Quicken Loans, if there was no human factor necessary in the mortgage business, you probably should just fire everybody and use robots because the workers you have seem to be robots anyway I ended up going with a local mortgage company and they appraised the house over asking priceWith that, I already have equity even before moving inQuicken Loans ended up keeping my deposit as well even though the document provided to me from onset showed that appraisal was estimated between $and $Look, if you give both a lower limit and an upper limit of a transaction as the same value even my kindergarten daughter will tell you $is what your cost should beThe dubious representatives of Quicken decided to keep the entire deposit I paidSeems to me like they just have a bunch ofYou know what I will just try and be respectful but I am sure you all smart people get my driftFind a reputable local mortgage lender and ditch QuickenThey will overcharge you for origination fees anyway and tell you they are giving you credit
Rocket Loans (a division of Quicken Loans) requires you to log into your bank account through their site to approve your loan I was concerned about that, so I checked with my bank While they could not say that was something we should or should not do, they said if it were them, they would never give that information to anyone That information gives them complete access to your account, which is information and accessibility no legitimate lending institution needs I took my banks advice and did not continue with the loan

From start to finish, the entire experience was friendly, professional, fast, and helpful My story- I'm a single parent, college bound daughter, and looked into re-financing After speaking to several brick banks and local banks, I felt confused and beat down My credit score was fair at best After speaking with Chris Klug and the team at Quicken, I was impressed I did look at internet reviews, which almost kept me from proceeding I discussed every concern - Chris addressed every issue Once I had made up my mind to proceed ( I even changed a few things in the midst), my closing was exactly days from start to finish The signing agent even came to my home to close, on my schedule minutes and papers were signed days later, funds were transferred and I have a lower interest year fixed rate loan Quicken delivered on every single facet The team concept is fabulous!! Everyone in the organization was professional and extremely helpful Chris Klug is so helpful and knowledgeable!! I will not hesitate to use Quicken again in the future and I have referred family and friends, who have already contacted Quicken and they have given me positive feedback
Basically everything was fast, easy, with each step well informed The only negative was the closing They had hired a 3rd party agent who was, VERY late, did not communicate well at all, and was only able to read exactly what was written on a piece of paper in front of him Hire better closers!
I would recommend Quicken/Rocket Mortgage to any and everyoneThe representatives are kind, knowledgeable and efficientOnce you, the customer, establish what you’re looking for, they hit the floor running Except for gathering a little paperwork on your end, they do all the workWhat I love the most.....feedback! They are wonderful on feedbackYou are never left “hanging “, wondering what’s happening If you have to make an inquiry, the response is almost immediateI like the fact that you’re not passed around to too many representatives and that who ever you do speak to, they take the time to make sure you understand what’s being done
Do NOT give this company phone your number, they will not leave you alone and probably sell all your info to marketers! I was looking for a quick on what a year mortgage would look likeQuicken Loans had an ad that said something like "mortgage calculator" and if you enter in your mortgage info, you'll receive a quote or rough estimate That's not what happened Within an hour my phone is won't stop ringingI provided an email tooI haven't received one emailFinally I pick up the call and politely say: "I'm not prepared to speak with anyoneI wanted an online quote and would prefer to not receive any more calls." They calls will still NOT stop People fill out form and do other things online because they don't always want to talk to someone This is getting to the point of harassment FYII actually have a real, active, mortgage with quicken loansThe rates were good, but the experience was pretty badOur mortgage officer or whatever you call them couldn't spell to save her life and her LinkedIn resume says she went to Cornell I didn't know there was a Cornell CollegeThere were a few other unethical things that happened at closing - you can private message me for that story Bottom line: Don't give quicken loan or rocket your numberEVER I would try avoid using them for your mortgage loans as wellGoogle Quicken Loans and Department of Justice if you're bored

They were calling daily to get the credentials they require It is VERY ironic that QL stopped "being interested" in my business right about when the interest rates went up NO CALLS They say they do not have control over the appraisal, BUT I THINK THEY DO!! The Quicken Loan appraisal was RIDICULOUS It cost me $and a months time!!!!!!!!!!!
Very unreliable and slow to return callsI recently received a letter in the mail soliciting me to refinance my two properties into oneIt seemed like a good move on my part so I decided to call quicken loans to get the process started I spoke with Kyle who was eager to take my personal information such as SS # and tax infoHe then stated he has to go and work on my loan request and will call me back in minutesWell days went by among numerous messages to Kyle at Quicken Loans regarding to at least let me know what is going on...I finally received a call from another loan officer who was apologetic I also own a A+ accredited Revdex.com company and would never think of doing this to any of my clientsI feel that Quicken Loans is to big to fail type of a company therefore can afford to be slow to respond and give the feeling that you are begging for moneyI refused to do business with Quicken Loans and I fired them as my loan providerI decided to just go about what I was doing before I got their letter of solicitation and pay off my debt myself Since the firing of Quicken Loans I have been harassed so much with different loan officers that I had to block their numberIf it continues I will go to the Attorney General and file harassment charges on this company This is an ego driven company preying on people with on the edge creditStay away Small Business Owner
We are now dealing with loans that were suppose to be paid off from our refinanceNow I have a higher payment and still making loan payments on loans that were not paid off as we were told that they would beI borrowed 20,above the amount owed on my house to pay off these loans and take a vacationNeedless to say, had to cancel vacation and dealing with a lot of stressNot a good situation
