While claiming that they offer a rocket mortgage it is anything butThey ordered an appraisal without due diligence on the appraiserHe is know throughout the community for appraising below valueHe missed counting three rooms including one of the bedrooms and came in $10k below selling priceWhen I asked Quicken to review this they actually told me that their collateral department would order a second appraisal, but not to verify the selling price, but rather to take the lower value of the twoThat appraisal couldn't be scheduled until days after close and they actually said it may go to the same appraiser
How would it make sense to address my complaint, as a buyer, that the appraisal was way off through this process? Needless to say I went with a local lender who knows the local appraisers and got me an appointment the following week with a competent appraiser
Also it is a shady practice to pre-qualify borrowers then after they find the home they reveal APR and pointsShop around first, they do not value customers with great credit and low debt/income enough to close a loan, hate to see how they treat customers with 600-range credit scoresI will never recommend them to anyone after my recent interactionI was handed off to a total of four different people with one set telling me I would close on time and another telling me it would be days later and I would have to cough up the $10k appraisal offset at closeTruly an unforgettable interaction
Our loan went well and was very positiveI even heard from my realtor and title company how easy it was to do business with Quicken Loans, they were impressed with all the contact they gave themI would recommend then to everyone I know

Brett Humphreys and Eric Zeigler were always prompt in responding to questions I had regarding our two refinances The signing of the closing documents with the notary was very quick and easy We were refinancing two loans on rental property we have The original loans were with Quicken and the refinance was also with Quicken We thought that would make the whole process easierbut there were a few glitches Too many different people worked on the loans and they were done separately and one loan was finished faster than the other, making it inconvenient to close at the same time In addition, the people working on the two loans did not communicate with each other This lack of communication became frustrating at times
I have dealt with a few other companies before and none of them compare to Quicken LoansI found them to be professional in every aspect and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a quality company to do business with Thumbs up to Quicken Loans!!
The Quicken Loans team was awesome! I had a fantastic experience refinancing our home, and was able to consolidate/pay off all our credit card debt at the same timeIt's not an exaggeration to say that this changed our financial futureI am so gratefulI would gladly recommend them to anyone
Over all, the people that I worked with from Quicken were superb! Everything went well except the 11th hour payout being delayed, but rectified...I did get it on schedule with a few hat tricks? The issue, was with the closing company, Amrock TitleCourtney Salkeld told me that I needed to provide a copy of the POA with my wifeHe said he did not anticipate needing the original, but locate it and keep itAfter completing the closing, I was notified within the days of the pay out that they needed it and until they got it, I would not get my payoutI overnighted it and requested that it be returnedIt has not been done as of yet! I know there are a lot of people who are concerned with Quicken as a lender, but I have nothing but good things to sayI should preface my review with the fact that I have great credit, no debts, and was applying for a small home loan with a large down, so I had few hiccups going into the home loan processI am also a second-time home buyer, so I have been through the process before with a "traditional" lender in a different state and knew the drillRegardless, my mortgage originator was very knowledgeable about my state and requirements before proceeding with me on the home loan processI had pre-approval through Quicken as well as a traditional lender, but Quicken proved more prompt, helpful, and far more interested in helping me run my numbers and figure out my budget with me, giving me multiple loan possibilities whereas the traditional lender wasn't nearly as involved, which is why I dropped themMy originator at Quicken was prompt, courteous, and very, very thoroughI didn't at any point feel confused about what I was signing, what fees were included or not included, or what I needed to bring to the table versus what Quicken was covering, and when I lost a sale on a house and had to start all over again in my search (which had nothing to do with my lender but everything to do with the seller's agent), they were there to help me start again and speed the process along with the information they already had on hand when I did find my perfect homeBoth my agent and the seller's agent mentioned to me on several occasions that although they were hesitant to work with Quicken due to stories they'd heard, their experience was very pleasant, and they were surprised at how organized and on-the-ball Quicken was, especially with my state, which I was told is a hard state to close in due to regulationsTheir weekly updates and check-ins were very helpful in keeping us all on the same page, and the online documentation style was very useful for me personally, as the internet is far more conducive to my impatient personality--I was able to sign off on documents the second I receive them, scan, and send back within a half hour rather than having to run around and meet up with a physical person to pass them offAlthough I first bought and sold in CA where everything is digitized through agencies, that's not the case in upstate NYEverything is still hand-carryWith Quicken, everything is right at my fingertips, so it eliminates a lot of driving around and passing off of documentation, and I like that reassuranceIn the end, the only howas on the day of my closing, when we had to wait about half an hour for Quicken to approve my final closing documentation so checks could be cut for all involved--a small price to pay for such an easygoing experience
