I received an email from Quicken Loans shortly after I moved into my new condoThe email said that they could refinance my loan with a lower interest rateI responded because I thought it couldn't hurt to check this out and maybe save some moneyI told them I had just moved in and they asked if they could do a credit inquiryI wasn't sure I wanted to because I knew a hard inquiry would lower my credit score, but I agreed to it because Inwas getting the impression that the loan would go throughIt didn'tShe said I would have to have had the loan in place for more than six months before I would be qualified for a refinanceSo why not tell me that before the credit check so hat I could have avoided the hard inquiryAfter months went by I got another email from them saying that I could refinance at a lower rateThis time I thought it would go throughI told the rep about my earlier experience and expresse concern about another hard inquiry that resulted in not getting the loan anywayBut he assured me that it was neccesaryAs it tired out he calls to let me know that it would not make financial sence to get the refinance loan because it would add $in closing costs to the loan and would only save me $a month hard in mortgage paymentsSo now I have another hard inquiry that has once again brought down my credit scoreWhy can't they figure this out before he hard inquiry?

I applied for a loan in March 2016, gave the a $deposit for appraisals what have youI specifically asked my Quicken Loan banker TYLER, would you keep this money if I am not approved, he says "oh no, you are approved we don't do this, we won't ask you for this money unless you are approved" well the approval became a denial and low and behold they kept my money saying the banker TYLER never said the words that I would be refunded the moneyI said now you are playing tic for tat, because those EXACT words didn't come from his mouth, I can't get my money backBEWARE, DON'T GIVE THEM MONEY! You will be sorry!
The whole process was quick and easy We did have a problem with another lender who showed a balance due, but Quicken was able to resolve the issue with our uploaded copy of the paid in full letter
Obtaining our recent mortgage through QL was our 2nd experience with them
Both times we were very pleased with their speed, efficiency, patience and knowledgeWe have and will continue to refer friends and family to QL
Was a bit frustrated with some of the information that was requestedWe own a second property and for some reason, they insisted on getting homeowners insurance coverage information, even though the property is owned, free and clearUnclear why this information was even needed
Information was requested multiple times for several items, even though the information had already been provided
Closing was very convenient, as we were traveling out of state and they were able to have a local notary conduct the closing where we were staying at our hotel

The overall experience was greatThe people we worked with were knowledgeable and helpfulMy only complaint is that after the close we found out that evidently there was an error in calculating the payoff of our existing loan and we had to come up with the difference It wasn't enough to hurt us but it was unexpected and we weren't prepared
I Franklin THad a great experience with QL, they gave me a chance when others Banks said NO because of my financial situationI was able to get a 3.50% years loan on my 7% years
