I wound up dealing with Quicken Loans after I filled out a form online to see if I could get approved for a loan to buy my first home The next day I was contacted multiple times during work and I told each representative that I would not be available until after 5:p.mto speak with them For a week straight they would call at least times a day, during work hours and set an appointment to call me at 5:p.m No one would ever call me After about weeks of non stop harassment, I was finally able to speak with someone in the evening I told the representative that I was trying to see how far away from home ownership I was and what I would be approved for and the interest rate None of this information was provided to me, just a lot of fast talk before I was told my credit score needed to be a few points higher before they could approve me, and forwarded me to a credit specialist to help get my score up I explained that I had just paid off credit cards and a vehicle and everything should hit my credit in about a week A week later I was contacted again and found out that my credit score was now high enough to get a loan The loan agent confirmed my credit was now where it needed to be and asked if we had found a home and I told him there was one I was interested in I sent him a link to the home so he could check the address with the USDA database to see if it qualified for a USDA loan He called back a little later and said he couldn't get me approved for THAT home because it wasn't in an approved area, but to use the website to check other address and let him know when I found a home I liked I was left with the impression that I had been approved for a loan and just needed to find a home That night I emailed the loan agent and asked how much I was approved for and what my interest rate would be so I would know what price to look at in homes I also hired a realtor to assist me in finding a home in a USDA approved area The next day I called the agent and was informed that they were accidentally using my fiances income with mine (he wasn't going to be on the loan) and because of this that they cannot approve me for a loan because my income is not enough to qualify for a loan specifically designed for low income families (because I have student loans) The agent knew my fiance would not be on the loan from our first conversation At no point in dealing with Quicken loans were any of my questions answered with an honest, straight forward answer They always talked around my questions and didn't give me any actual answers until they told me I was too poor to buy a home This has been the absolute worst customer service experience of my life and now I have hard inquiry's on my credit when they should have realized in our first call that my income was too low to get approvedI would not recommend Quicken Loans to my worst enemy
I have never talked to any mortgage staff like you guys anywhere you all were awesome it was like boom, boom and bang were done and keeping in touch with us every day like we were family some of our family we haven't heard from in years lol so think you all Great Job well done sending lot of hugs too you all
My home refinancing with Quicken Loans was a very positive experience Even when there were a few "bumps in the road," the Quicken staff was quick to search out answers and resolve the issue The staff I encountered were all quite knowledgeable and helpful
Quicken Loans was amazing from start to finish!! They made our refinance a smooth and hassle free experience! No question went unanswered and phone calls and emails were answered usually within hoursWe highly recommend them and have absolutely no regrets!
Everyone I came in contact with was exceptionally nice Everyone I would prefer to start and finish with the first contact, but as it was I had or difference contacts if I wanted any information All of them were nice I did not like the man who came and appraised my home In and out the door in minutes, needless to say the appraisal was from the internet Had home appraised for $30,more just weeks before he came The appraiser asked questions, when was this upgraded, how old was this, checked the attic, didn't say that all the extras in the home i.ewet bar in living area and fire place, built in bookcases around fireplace, things like that which he said didn't count But they do for the insurance company He was kind of rude If I deal with you again concerning a home loan I will be sure he isn't involved
Using Quicken Loans to refinance and pay off some cc debt was a great decision From beginning to end, everyone we dealt with was caring, helpful and professional

I have been shopping around to refinance my home, I got the run around and empty promises that I wanted to give upUntil Natalie Lang from Quicken loans assured me that she could do the refi and followed up with any questions we hadThe whole process was amazing and fastMyql was greatI would definitely recommend
Originally refinanced my mortgage with Quicken, and I had a decent experience I then refinanced again because THEY called me and said it would make since to get out of my FHA (remove mortgage insurance premium) and into a conventional But to do it cash free, I would have to take points, and go from to for a rate They were very clear in stating it would be easy and hassle free to refinance AGAIN in months to drop the rate back down Needless to say, they would NOT even take a look at refinancing again after months I checked with another lender, and they could get me refinanced However, once they pulled my credit, Quicken (who monitors your credit transactions somehow) called me immediately to try and match the offer They actually gave me a slightly worse offer (same rate of 3.785, but I would not be getting the escrow check differential in the mail of $or so after closing) With that said, I still was okay with staying as it would be more hassle free We just had our house appraised months earlier during the last REFI and posted a 199K value This time around we posted a 189K after adding 10K paver steps out front This inaccurate appraisal allowed them to ask for money at closing, or they would raise the rate I was not okay with it, so they GLADLY closed the loan out Very disappointed they could not assist in making the original terms happen, especially when THEY did the last refinance with a value of 199K etc I am currently looking to switch out from them, as I have dealt with too many people, and they lured me back in, just to disappoint Stay local is my recommendation
