Absolutely horrid experienceNot time but timesI do not recommend this company to ANYONEI do not feel like the "senior specialist" was going to make a difference at allHe supposedly got the "higher ups" involved with my situation, and it did NOTHING for me or my familyMy first experience I lost a pretty penny to these people And that was about years agoMy family decided it was time to try again so I was looking online and of course quicken loans were the first to callI told the representative that they were LAST on my list of options because of the disappointment I have received the first time aroundThe representative assured me that I was in great hands and how he was going to make sure that he was going to take care of me this time around He explained how he was also part of the quality assurance team and was delighted when I told him my complaintsHe assured he would do all he could to help meI fell for itI gave him all the information he neededHe was calling me back and forth all day and he said he got his director involved and he was going over a wonderful option that was very appealing to the earHe runs through the numbers and he calls me back the next day stating he was unable to help me because of debt to incomeThat's not why I'm upset though I understand thatMy point is DO NOT RUN YOUR MOUTH INTO MY EAR WITH SWEET LIES just to get what you want from meIt was a real let downI will NEVER go through this company againThere will not be a 3rd time of heartache and disappointment
Worst placeThey claimed that I filled a home refinance profile on their system and calls me everyday about time a day using different numbersEven after asking their reps to remove me from their listNot sure how they got my info, but If someone tells you on phone that they are not interest then I assume you leave them alone rather than calling everyday using different numbers
Our process was extremely smooth, professional and courteous! I've already recommended Quicken Loans to a family member

the process was easy and fast, however, the closing team is NOT efficient enough to give the numbers calculating and estimating the closing costs and instead of getting money , you'll be surprised by a call after closing that you still have to pay something expensive,which according to them , are factors they cannot control, like the taxesI understand that taxes are complicated process but I also did refinance with another lender before and the numbers they calculated were precise enough with numbers close to the estimateswith quicken loans, it is just far from the estimatesjust so sad it happened to me

My husband and I were referred to Quicken Loans by a close friend of ours after they had a very positive experience with themI went online and before I had even finished the online application I recieved a call from themFor the next hour or so we went through all of our info with Shevelle AndersonShe was great with explaining everything! We were approved to move forward in less than an hour and a halfWe created an account where we could upload all the necessary documents neededIt was all very straightforward and simpleIf I had any questions Shevelle was right there to answer them promptlyWe already had a house picked out and an accepted offer to purchase so this really sped things up!
At this point we now began working with Josh PowellHe was very personable and attentive, making us feel as if he was really working for us to get things moving quicklyAs things progressed we had a few bumps we encountered on our end with the appraisal ( because the land was in the process of being re-surveyed) but they were quickly resolved and we were up and running againJosh was great at keeping us up to date on the progress of thingsHe is a real asset to his company!
So in less than a month we were closed on our house-- April was our application date and we closed on the 25th of May! Oh yes-- and we even got to use a coupon from our friends for $off our closing costs-- SWEET!
I would highly reccomend them to anyone!! I have read some of the negative reviews and have come to the conclusion that a lot of the problems were not Quicken-- they can not control appraisals or regulations that the government puts on lenders these daysOur experience was smooth and went wonderfully!! I recently decided to buy my first home since we have been renting for the last several yearsThe initiator of the Loan was super nice and explained everything to me so I was happy for a while knowing I had been approved for a mortgageI was building a custom home after the approval and explained this from the onsetThe builder however had base models from which the customization is based onFunny enough Quicken Loans decided to send out the appraiser on first day I told them I found the house I wantedThis was at a point when the house had only a frame and studs, nothing else insideThe appraiser brought back or so comparables and they were all the same price because none was sold yetThey were all baseNote that no houses are ever the same anyway
I took the time to explain to these guys after that there is a lot of customization and was going to provide them all documentations and comparable relative to my type of homeThese guys were not ready for any of thisThey read to me scripts for days while I attempted to get them to earn my businessLook Quicken Loans, if there was no human factor necessary in the mortgage business, you probably should just fire everybody and use robots because the workers you have seem to be robots anyway
I ended up going with a local mortgage company and they appraised the house over asking priceWith that, I already have equity even before moving inQuicken Loans ended up keeping my deposit as well even though the document provided to me from onset showed that appraisal was estimated between $and $Look, if you give both a lower limit and an upper limit of a transaction as the same value even my kindergarten daughter will tell you $is what your cost should beThe dubious representatives of Quicken decided to keep the entire deposit I paidSeems to me like they just have a bunch ofYou know what I will just try and be respectful but I am sure you all smart people get my driftFind a reputable local mortgage lender and ditch QuickenThey will overcharge you for origination fees anyway and tell you they are giving you credit
