This being the first time that I have refinanced and it being over years since applying for a mortgage, doing so online was so easy My initial contact with your team member Nick Math was very easy, and he was always there to answer questions and make the process easy When it was handed off, I seemed to go into a holding pattern and did not hear from Quicken unless I reached out to get a status I would wait and then also send a note to Nick, and even though he was out of the process for us by then, he was always quick to respond and most of the time got me answers before the person on your team that we were handed off to did Nick was your best person I dealt with there!
We have closed home loans with Quicken LoansAll were completed without problems on Quicken's endWe would also highly recommend Katlyn Weldon to anyone as a brokerShe is knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to jump in when a problem arises (my husband's HR depttook weeks to verify employment)We highly recommend Quicken Loans

WHEN YOU SPEAK WITH THEM, YOU WILL HAVE ONE PERSON AS THE MAIN BROKER THEN ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE THAT DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER AND REQUEST INFORMATION OVER AND OVER, MOST OF THE TIME I HAD ALRREADY PROVIDED, THE OTHER TIME IT WOULD BE SOMETHING RANDOM
YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE APPRAISAL AND IN MY CASE, EVEN THOUGH THEY LOW BALLED THE VALUE, I STILL WENT WITH IT BECAUSE I WANTED TO PULL MONEY OUT FOR A SMALL DEBTAFTER 4-1/MONTHS OF REQUESTING INFORMATION THEY BACKED OUT OF THE LOAN DUE TO AN EXPIRED PEST INPSECTIONTHE PEST INSPECTION EXPIRED BECAUE THEY TOOK SO LONG TO PROCESS THE LOAN
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN FROM THE GET GO NOT TO GO WITH THEM, EVERY INSTINCT SAID DONT DO IT AND YET I ALWAYS TRY TO GIVE PEOPLE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBTSO NOW IM $IN THE HOLE FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TRING TO GIVE PEOPLE THAT DONT DESERVE IT A CHANCE

We were told by senior mortgage banker Mike Assi (aka Mouhamad Assi) that there would be other avenues to re-finance via QL if we did not have a 75% LTV, however this was definitely not the case MrAssi collected $from us for an appraisal knowing that if we did not have a 75% LTV we would not be able to re-finance Furthermore, MrAssi used very unprofessional and what we believe to be fraudulent emails when soliciting us When soliciting us, he told us that total closing costs for our loan would be $26000, however the actual closing costs were $42677! The approach used by QL and MrAssi provided a gross misrepresentation with regard to the loan and in my mind was a complete violation of the Code of Ethics
I contacted Quicken loans December 29thI immediately received a call from a very knowledgeable and friendly representative KateShe walked me through the entire process asked if she could run my credit after thoroughly explaining what she was doingShe then preapproved meThe process went extremely fast after thatThen I received a phone call that my home was located in a flood zoneI provided them with letters from our parish government which they asked for as well as other informationThat was not enough so I had to spend $to get an elevation survey because I didn't previously have one because I don't live in a flood zoneI then had to contact FEMA for o LOMA which is a letter that proves my home isn't located in a flood zoneAfter waiting for weeks I finally received the letter and Quicken acceptedI was upset because if the home was located in a flood zone I'm pretty sure my current mortgage company would have required flood insuranceAfter that it took about weeks for underwritingI wanted to go else where but I had invested so much time and money I decided to hang inI finally closed March I would like to say that process was seamless fast and convenientI realize my situation was different but I feel some of the process was a little over the topMy experience was positive but like I stated some of things asked and common sense situations could have taken less timeI did refer my coworkerI did refinance
While Quicken was extremely "fast," I will say that when my rate lock expired April 30th due to the fact that the Seller could not close with us within days, QL refused to give me a lower rate, even though the underlying market index dropped here in the month of May and I received two emails from QL advertising that their "rates dropped" with of course all the fine print disclosures I felt that because our closing was mid-month, in the month of May, they really had us by the "you know whats" so we had really no "choice" to shop for a lower rate I don't think their rate lock paperwork is clear on what happens when the rate lock expires
This was the only aspect of QL that I did not like
Everything else was extremely "fast" and their portal was an excellent way to submit paperwork back and forth
