I would highly recommend Quicken Loans if you are looking for a mortgage or are wanting to refinance I contacted Quicken Loans to refinance my mortgage for a lower interest rate I called them in February and everything was done and finalized by mid March, first one that I have done that moved so quickly
Everyone that I spoke to at Quicken Loans were very friendly and very helpful, they made the whole process enjoyable, most companies can make it frustrating
I also have to take a moment to brag about their website All the paperwork and the majority of the messages were done through the MyQL website, which was so easy to use I think I only had to print or pages, and it was so easy to upload the documents through the site I cannot say enough about their website
Quicken Loans has definitely done everything right! I look forward to having my mortgage with them, which seems odd to say about a long term debt
I applied online for a first time homeowner mortgage on a condo in Plymouth, MNI was connected via chat with a lady named SunniWe chatted and she advised on a special program and my interest rateIt was a no brainerThings were very smooth, upload this, print and sign that, all the while Mike Pratt kept in close contact with meI knew they were busy with other customers, but they always responded quickly and gave it to me straightMy closing was smooth and painless
The lone process was quick & professional I only have one complaintThey pulled my CREDIT REPORT times, which isn't good for your score I would use them again

My new mortgage totals about $100,Our house was valued at between $300,and 400,
It took "Quicken" Loans almost months to prove fess our loan There was nothing quick about it We also felt discriminated against because we are independent business owners Our company has been in business continuously since and we're on our third family generationThe volumes of paperwork we had to submit were ridiculous I only stuck with the process because the interest rate was so good
In April of Quicken Loans settled a lawsuit providing service members and veterans with false, deceptive, and misleading mortgage offers in the state of Washington I am here to tell you that in August they are still misrepresenting their services in other states on how funds are applied to VA loans I was told once I had contacted them that they have retrained their lenders not to lie anymore but there is nothing they can do about the 8000+ closing fees I was charged after being deliberately mislead in to refinancing with them on pretenses
I was told during the initial interview that my funds would be auto deducted from my account and applied to my loan every two weeks to take advantage of lowering the interest paid on the life of the loan However once the loan was closed and I was charged all of the closing fees I then found out they auto deduct the money every days and hold it in suspense until the full payment is due and then apply the funds To clarify every days generally makes the funds available an average of 7-days prior to the payment being due on the 1st of every month However, Quicken Loans holds not only the day payment but the full monthly payment that has been deducted from my bank account in suspense until the exact day the payment is due (on the 1st) So they are basically collecting interest on my money for approximately 1/ of every month while I get absolutely so credit toward the interest on my account This is flipping a customer to collect fees from them by lying to the consumer to get them to switch This is a form of predatory lendingThis a VA loan that my husband served years in the service to be able to earn the ability to use Quicken Loans is misleading and lying to our Veterans and our Military Services This should be stopped
I am a local real estate agent and I have been working with Rami Hannosh at Quicken Loans, both for clients and for my own home loan and he has been great! He has been so easy to stay in contact with, always responds quickly and has offered unique options that other mortgage brokerages I have worked with may not offerI heard about Rami through a client refferal and I reccomend him with confidence
All the Quicken/Rocket team members were very friendly and knowledgeableEverything was explained thoroughly up front Any questions I had throughout the process were anwered quicklyI am extremely happy with Quicken Loans/Rocket MortgageI will definitely be recommending them to other people
I just closed on a new home on 07/29/ For the most part working with Quicken was a good experience the total time from the start of the process to the closing was about days which was very fast in my opinion My realtor, title company and the realtor of the home owners who we purchased our home from raved about quicken in general which was good to hear The things that make me write a neutral review is the actions of my mortgage banker Tim Robertson He had a very pushy, car salesman, sleezy style about him In my opinion he also used some dishonest tactics to close the deal with me and my wife Originally we were shopping several different mortgage companies and based upon the information given to us by MrRobertson we went with Quicken Then at the very end of the process, when there was no way to back out without several thousand dollars of lost money he pulled out the rug from under us and the deal changed Basically he gave us a guarantee that our payment would not exceed a certain estimate and then at the last second it was a revealed that it would be $more per month When we confronted him about it his demeanor completely changed and he went from overly nice pushy sales man, to very condescending and rude and actually stated "to be honest with you I think you're just trying to get a discount at the last second" He offered no help and just said that he mis-estimated the property tax and there was nothing he could do He then basically said take it or leave it
What I really want to stress is overall I think Quicken is a good company and I admire what there owner is doing for the Michigan and the Detroit area, I would even say that I would work with them again but I would not take there estimates as real and would add 10% to what they were telling me when comparing them to other companies
Finally beware of Mortgage Banker Tim Robertson, he is dishonest and is only interested in the sale If you get him as a mortgage banker I would ask for another one
