I would highly recommend Quicken Loans if you are looking for a mortgage or are wanting to refinance I contacted Quicken Loans to refinance my mortgage for a lower interest rate I called them in February and everything was done and finalized by mid March, first one that I have done that moved so quickly Everyone that I spoke to at Quicken Loans were very friendly and very helpful, they made the whole process enjoyable, most companies can make it frustrating I also have to take a moment to brag about their website All the paperwork and the majority of the messages were done through the MyQL website, which was so easy to use I think I only had to print or pages, and it was so easy to upload the documents through the site I cannot say enough about their website Quicken Loans has definitely done everything right! I look forward to having my mortgage with them, which seems odd to say about a long term debt

Overall, we were very impressed with QLThey are overall very efficient and timelyWe hit a little snag toward the end of our refinance process and they kept asking for paperwork that we didn't have (they kept asking for verification that we hadn't taken out a home equity line of credit)We had never taken out a HELOC, so we had nothing to prove that to them since we had never done itIt was a huge, long, frustrating process to get this sorted outI ended up getting very frustrated because they wouldn't accept the verification I was sending themI expressed my concerns and QL very promptly called me and talked to me and walked me through the rest of the processThey were very supportiveThe refinance went through shortly after that with no other snags This issue is the only complaint we had with QLOther than that, they were greatEven with this huge inconvenience and frustration, QL tried to fix it the best they could and were understanding and supportive of my concerns

We applied for a mortgage load from Quicken Loans, and within days we were inundated with spam email from every company hawking a service or product associated with moving/relocation I contacted Quicken Loans and demanded they delete ALL of our information from ALL of their systems, but the damage was already done – once your email is sold to mailing lists, you a bullseye for every spanner out there Only thing left to do is to ditch that email address & establish a new one But that is no easy thing to do in this day and age because so many of your business, personal and financial contacts need to have your current email address, so it takes a LOT of time My suggestion is that you stay away from Quicken Loans (and all their related businesses, such as Rocket Loans) like the plague
While claiming that they offer a rocket mortgage it is anything butThey ordered an appraisal without due diligence on the appraiserHe is know throughout the community for appraising below valueHe missed counting three rooms including one of the bedrooms and came in $10k below selling priceWhen I asked Quicken to review this they actually told me that their collateral department would order a second appraisal, but not to verify the selling price, but rather to take the lower value of the twoThat appraisal couldn't be scheduled until days after close and they actually said it may go to the same appraiser How would it make sense to address my complaint, as a buyer, that the appraisal was way off through this process? Needless to say I went with a local lender who knows the local appraisers and got me an appointment the following week with a competent appraiser Also it is a shady practice to pre-qualify borrowers then after they find the home they reveal APR and pointsShop around first, they do not value customers with great credit and low debt/income enough to close a loan, hate to see how they treat customers with 600-range credit scoresI will never recommend them to anyone after my recent interactionI was handed off to a total of four different people with one set telling me I would close on time and another telling me it would be days later and I would have to cough up the $10k appraisal offset at closeTruly an unforgettable interaction
Judi McCarthy Everyone was very helpful while going through the process of buying my first home, that is until I got to the last stage and was transferred to the loan specialist She did not contact me once during this process until I finally talked with the person I had been dealing with prior to be transferred to her Trying to contact her was very frustrating for me The rest of my experience was friendly and helpful
Process was easy and they communicated very well Being able to do almost all online was very good The added bonus was them sending a notary to my house for closing which only took about minutes Would recommend them
While Quicken was extremely "fast," I will say that when my rate lock expired April 30th due to the fact that the Seller could not close with us within days, QL refused to give me a lower rate, even though the underlying market index dropped here in the month of May and I received two emails from QL advertising that their "rates dropped" with of course all the fine print disclosures I felt that because our closing was mid-month, in the month of May, they really had us by the "you know whats" so we had really no "choice" to shop for a lower rate I don't think their rate lock paperwork is clear on what happens when the rate lock expires This was the only aspect of QL that I did not like Everything else was extremely "fast" and their portal was an excellent way to submit paperwork back and forth
I highly recommend QL to everyone It was so easy and fast Plus QL has great customer service I was able to call Alex anytime I had a question or had concerns We started the process April and found out that we were approved in less than minutes Went thru all the paperwork online with Alex's help We closed at home on May and received our check om May Wow, amazing I highly recommend QL I give it a scored of 10+++ Ten being the g Highest score Very easythank you QL and Alex.??????
