Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm addressing the Revdex.com or Facebook, but either way I first noticed my privacy settings had been violated on November 20, 2015. I went back and realized the first violation was 11/7/15, then again on 11/19/15 and twice on 11/20/15. I then updated my privacy settings on 11/21/15. I spent over an hour recreating a list of people who I didn't want to de-friend, I just didn't want to have the ability to comment on my posts or view them. I then triple checked on my computer and mobile device to ensure they had been correctly updated.
Then on 11/24/15 individuals from that list liked and posted on two of my posts. I noticed on 11/25/15 and deactivated.
There was also another instance prior to 11/20/15 I believe (it could have been in the middle), however, I deleted those posts so I was unable to access them to provide dates.
I had not gone in to my privacy settings in any way outside of the days where I had to update my privacy settings when I realized they had been completely deleted so it had to be something on Facebook's end.
I can provide screenshots of the names that were added to that list and the posts they liked, but there isn't an option for that here.
Thank you
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/12/28) */
Hi [redacted],
Screenshots of the list of names and the posts that were liked by people that were like by people on the list would be fantastic. After you provide these screenshots, we should be able to further assist you with this issue.
I'm going to create a new channel for us to correspond with so you can easily attach screenshots. Please keep an eye out for an email from us.
Happy Holidays!

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/04/16) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As I told you before my ID sent in is real! Can you prove otherwise other then someone at Facebook's personal opinion? No you can't. My ID is an LAX International Airport SIDA Badge and I underwent a deep 10 year criminal background check and FBI finger printing to get that! So for Facebook to call it fake when they have no idea what they are talking about is laughable. Like I requested before if you won't give me permanent access back to my account I am demanding at the very least access to MY Photos and after I save them you can delete the account and I will move on to another social media site who respects me as a person. Everyone who I talk to about this finds it very very odd my account has been blocked when there are such profiles on Facebook with names such as [redacted] kittygirl etc... I told a US Customs officer at work the other day and they could not stop laughing about Facebook having way to much power and not knowing how to use it properly. So once again I will except nothing less then access to my photographs so I can save them and then I really could careless to continue with Facebook. Thank You

I don't agree! Facebook should not be playing god who are they to say my ID is not real?? I provided a real govt issued ID and my account remains locked. Facebook I want my photos!!! They do not belong to you and I demand you release them. My next step if the Revdex.com can't help is to contact [redacted] You and your play god policy is discrimination and I will not put up with this any longer. First of all, thank you to Revdex.com and Facebook for making sure someone answered my question - however, Facebook states that this issue has now been resolved, but nothing has happened? As of today( (July 23) there are still two pages, one automatically generated that uses our name and likeness and one that belongs to us...
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 42, 2015/12/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thank you for your efforts!
We are still experiencing problems. Although merging the pages seem to give us a boost in likes and check-ins, it does not necessarily affect activity that happens after the merge. This means that check-ins from this morning appear on the auto-generated page as opposed to ours.
All weekend (4th of December-6th) all check-ins, even on the auto-generated page, showed our page when the cursor hovered over it. Now it is the auto-gen page that shows up again. When testing the check-in feature from an account that does not follow our page, the only option for UN City is the auto-gen page.
Is it possible to get to a long-term solution for this? The merging of pages solution does not seem to stick.
Thank you.

Hi [redacted],
Thanks for writing back in. Any check-ins to the auto-generated Wiki hub will also show up on your official page, and check-ins should redirect to your official page. If this is not happening, could you please provide screenshots of the problem, so that we can investigate further?

Hi [redacted],
I'd be happy to assist you today.
Unfortunately, we are not able to refund these charges. Our records show that you previously disputed charges and as a courtesy we issued a one-time refund along with providing you information...

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The issue before was because I left my Facebook open and my 6 year old son decided to start clicking on things. That was accidental. This issue was caused by my 16 year old babysitter who stoled my debit card and made these purchases. So I can't see how it is the same thing. I didn't give her permission.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/26) */
Hi [redacted],
It looks like a family member or someone you may know personally made these unauthorized charges. Because our Payment Terms don't allow for refunds in this case, I'm unable to issue you one.
You can learn more about refunds in our Payment Terms:

To make it easy to make payments on Facebook, we store your payment information for future purchases. If you'd like to remove any credit cards or PayPal accounts listed on your account, visit the Help Center:

So under your payment terms it says this "If you are under the age of eighteen (18), you may use Facebook Payments only with the involvement of your parent or guardian. Make sure you review these Terms with your parent or guardian so that you both understand all of your rights and responsibilities."
The girl was 16 and made these purchases without my permission. No where in your terms does it say anything about not being able to get a refund. I didn't make these purchases and I want a refund.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I have already contacted FB on 21 June 2017 and received a copy of my email to them with this response/acknowledgement from them with case number [redacted], at 1:53 pm on 21 June 2017:
"I have received a malicious malware notification, purported to be from FB. It includes a link to "clean this device". I have had a professional run 3 separate scans from 3 different vendors. There is nothing malicious on my machine. I cannot log into FB. Please help. Respond to me [redacted] Thx, [redacted]
You contacted Facebook: Report Something on Facebook
OPENCase #[redacted]
My husband can successfully log onto FB on my laptop without receiving the FB "malicious malware" message, yet I cannot. Clearly there is no malware on my machine. Since the only option FB provides is to use their scanning program, it is my opinion this is a bogus attempt to obtain access to private information, photos, passwords, account numbers by FB. If allowed, FB, through this scan, could implant its own tracking malware. This is an attempt to compromise my privacy & security. FB- Release my Machine! Allow me access to my FB account.
Sincerely,Barbara Pieroni

Hi [redacted],
Thank you for reaching out to Facebook through the Revdex.com. We've locked your account because it looks like it might have been hacked. Before we can unlock your account, we need to verify your identity.

The fastest way to do this...

is by completing the account recovery process. To do this, try logging into your account from a computer or mobile phone that you've used to log into Facebook in the past. Start with the computer or phone you normally use to access Facebook, and then try any other devices you've used.
You'll find more info about how to verify your identity in the Help Center:

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thank you for trying to help resolve this issue. Their answer is absolutely unacceptable, because it's not an answer, but a cynical and rude runaround, exactly what I got when tried to unlock my account. As I mentioned in my initial complaint, their verification protocol does NOT work. Their protocol offers three options: verify DOB, but I never gave my DOB, identify friends, but the faces they show are NOT my friends, or send them my government-issued ID which I REFUSE to do. They must find an alternative like ANY OTHER DECENT BUSINESS. Facebook is the only business that refuses to resolved people's concerns or complaints showing a total disrespect, lack of competence and bad attitude. I prefer that they call me on my phone or email me or send me a verification code like ANY OTHER BUSINESS WOULD DO, or CLOSE MY ACCOUNT! I repeat: their verifications methods as they are now DO NOT WORK. I will tell everybody I know how they abuse people's accounts and I am really hoping sooner or later they will go out of business.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/11) */
Hi [redacted],
Thank your for your response to Facebook through the Revdex.com. We understand your caution, but in order to protect the information on this account, we need you to verify that you own it by providing ID before we can assist with your request.
We can accept any of the following IDs:
- A government-issued ID that shows your name and date of birth.
- 2 different forms of ID that both show the same name. Additionally, one of the IDs must include a photo or date of birth that matches the information on your profile.
- If you don't have an ID that shows your name as well as your photo or date of birth, you can provide 2 forms of ID that show the same name, and a government-issued ID that includes a date of birth or photo that matches the information on your profile.
Before you scan or take a photo of your ID, be sure to cover up any personal information that we don't need (ex: your address, license number, etc).
To learn more about this process and what types of IDs we accept, please visit the Help Center:
https://www.facebook.com/help/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX?ref=cr
If you don't want to reopen this account, there's no need to respond to this email. This account will remain locked as a security precaution.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I will NOT share my government issued ID with Facebook! Nor my birthdate on my Facebook page matches my ID anyway. I am not even sure if I posted my bio data on my Facebook page. Probably not. I do NOT trust social networks. I need to know WHY they believe they can BLOCK people's account at any time for NO reason! Any other business would only call me on the phone or email to confirm. They HAVE my phone / email on Facebook. Why do they believe they can invade people's privacy on a social network??? I do NOT accept their response. I still find them extremely abusive and disrespectful. I wish we - too many of us who are their VICTIMS - start a class action against Facebook.
Thank you for your assistance. I do appreciate it.
