I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

It's ridiculous and insulting that I should have to prove that they put the item on sale.  They should have that information.  They are lying.  I have attached two conversations from the Garbage Pail Kids message board on [redacted] of two members who verified the sale.  [redacted] further confirms the sale.  If these were only available directly from Topps for $50 per set, why would someone order them for that price and then take a huge paycut within weeks of them being released and sell them for $20 less?  It's because Topps is lying!!!  Again, if you go to their public [redacted] page, there are hundreds of other reviews stating the same thing has happened to them.  I believe that Topps thinks they can get away with this since they are such a big company.  But I plead that the Revdex.com looks into them.  This is not an isolated incident!  They are apparently taking money from hundreds of others and getting away with it!

 Topps proposed shipping settlement ($229.12) would still cut, almost in half the severely depleted current value ($554.44) of the cards and is far more than the TRUE cost of simply putting them in a box and economically shipping them to me I resoundingly DO NOT ACCEPT this as a fair and equitable solution.   Furthermore that emails they have sent in the past were as deals to ship the cards were EVEN WORSE and even more expensive than the grossly unfair solutions that have been presented. The Topps Company made their money when they sold the cards, It is not right that they double dip, and fleece the people who trusted them, and make even more money on a failed investment on the way out. Many of the cards that were $5.00 are now worth in the range of 30 cents. I ask that the Revdex.com please step in and stop the Topps company's Unfair business practices so that others do not fall prey to this sort of abuse of customer good will. I once again ask for the shipping and handling to be reduced to the REAL cost of putting the cards in a box and shipping them to me as economically as possible.

We are here and taking calls, our call center is very active.  Please make sure you are dialing the correct # and selecting the proper option, # 2. Please also know where you ship your items to has nothing to do with CS.  It is another department that handles the fulfillment of your claim.  CS will not be able to do more than give you the same information that has already been given to you.

Topps redemption policy is if the completed card is not available in 15 weeks, you may request a substitution of equal current market value.  Topps maintains the right in its discretion to substitute a new card if the card you are submitting the redemption for cannot be completed and Topps...

determines it is to be ‘uncirculated’.  When Topps provides a substitution card, you receive a card of equal or greater CURRENT market value. Current market value is based on various factors, including eBay and Beckett pricing. Substitute cards are selected randomly by Topps based on current market value and available inventory for the same sport or property.  Substitute card choices made by Topps are final.If you would like to suggest some players you would except, we can look in our available inventory for this player.  We cannot guarantee we will have this player and that the card will be of proper equal current market value.

The shipping and handling fees have always been part of this program.  The consumer could have taken delivery at any time of the cards purchased.  We will extend the discount offer until 10/**/15 for this consumer.  We will need the order # once the order is completed to issue the discount.

A Mystery Redemption is for a player(s) which Topps announces later in the season. Once the player is announced, Topps produces the card. Topps issues Mystery Redemptions to capture new rookies or players who may accomplish historic feats after a product release is completed.  Mystery Redemptions may take up to 6 months to be completed after players are announced.  After the six month time-frame, after the announcement, a substitution for equal value can be requested.

tried to work with them to keep these components in, but we were unsuccessful.Topps added a new component – autographed medallion cards to replace the relics – in gold 1/1, silver # to 5 and bronze # to 10 across 60 subjects to give consumers something meaningful and high value to chase.While all autographs were intended to be on-card, not all actors were available for signings and stickers were used in rare instances. Topps does not solicit checklists prior to launch but felt it was important to include these signers, even if they were stickers.Topps also added extra dual autographs and expanded the on-card signer list to reach 80 total signers, more than the number solicited.Sketch cards are included at the discretion of Disney/Lucasfilm. While artists may announce they are working on sketch cards, there is no guarantee they will be approved for inclusion in product.Going forward, if changes are required by our licensor become this big, we will re-solicit the product with updated information.

Since the consumer does not want a replacement, there is nothing else we can offer.  Once the card is received completed, we will ship to the consumer.

Why should I have to wait even as long as they have even stated which is wrong. They have produced the 2014 version but not the 2013 version of the card. Seems like they are picking who they want to send the redemptionsame to. It should go in order. Not only that promise to get an item and then never get it, instead that fraud? I have never heard of anything besides topps that makes an item and then never gives it to you and makes you wait years. Makes no sense.  Why not give me the 2014 version of the card or the money that is owed to me by refunding me the case value.

I am still concerned that although Topps says one thing in this most recent reply they will do another once I do a chargeback. Can we please keep this open contingent upon them following through. [redacted]

We try our best to have the cards completed but there might be circumstance that prevents the card being completed in the proper time frame. At this time, all we can offer the consumer a substitution for current market value. The following is Topps policy for substituting your...

This is not a proper response from Topps based on the lengthy multi-year duration I've been awaiting furthered by the company's previous lack of response on my redemption. At this point I do not apply any integrityin Topps promising me to rectify the situation by merely replacing the redemption with a similarly valued card.  It does not address treating me with respect for having to wait so long and Topps' lack of communication.

because:The offer expired on Sep [redacted]. It would still cost me over $250 to get cards that are only worth $260. Seems to me that even if it took 4 or 5 priority mail large flat rate boxes, the shipping would only cost about $60.00
