Review: My wife has told them multiple times that I was not receiving any emails to my personal, rocketmail, account. They just did not understand. I do not remember ever giving them my bank account information. I was not aware that they were going to charge me $46.73 until my wife looked on our bank account and saw the charge. They charged me without my permission. This money was grocery money and during the holiday season. So now, my family does not have food money. I want a refund and my count disabled.Desired Settlement: I want a refund and disabled accounts for myself and my wife [redacted].

Hello,

Review: I am receiving unsolicited emails from FanBox that are clearly fraudulent (I do not have an account there and had never heard of them prior to getting the emails). I started getting emails about a month ago and am getting them every few days. I can't get it to unsubscribe (and I never subscribed!). Here is what I received today:

Hey, I’m not sure if you received my friendly reminder last week, but I noticed that your FanBox account is unprotected, despite your growing earnings of $1,946.27.

Review: I did not set up an account wit this company and I continue to receive daily emails from them advising of my "earnings" on their website. I've tried to unsubscribe from their email distribution, to no avail. Thanks to clicking the link to UNSUBSCRIBE, I now get unwanted emails from them daily.Desired Settlement: Please help ensure that any 'account' they have on their end related to my email address and all further communication from this company ceases. Due to numerous posts and news articles about this company being a scam, I'm hesitant to try and contact them further for fear they may get more access to my identity.

Review: Fanbox is a social network/blogging website. You get paid according to who read your blog. There is a monthly fee according to how much you make blogging from month to month. They keep a record of how much you make. The more you accumulate on a monthly bases the more they debit you card for the processing fee. Well I had accumulated over $1,700. Unfortunately I was not able to cash out and in order for me to cash out what I had accumulated, I have to give them about $2,100 which does not make sense to me. So, I wanted a refund from all the months they debited my card. They only gave me about 6 months worth of debits about $178.00. I fee since I was unable to get the money I accumulated, I should get back a total refund which there is an outstanding amount of about $288.00. They said that their policy doesn't allow them to give a total refund. The reason I tried to cash out is because my employment status has changed and I was no longer able to keep paying that monthly processing fee and that's why I wanted to cash out my earnings. So to them I can not get the money that I had accumulated and they only give me a partial of my money back. I want the total refund for them misrepresentation of their on policy of you can cash out at anytime you want. I do have all the transaction dates of them debiting my card with the amounts. I also have all the documents pertaining to how much I had accumulated with them and I believe I do have the letter stating that in order for me to collect the revenue that I had accumulated, I would have to send them $2,100, I have the Term of service agreement as well. I also noticed that you asked question about the Military statue, I am a veteran of the US Army. If you need any further information pertaining to my situation feel free to contact me at anytime. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank youDesired Settlement: A total refund since I was unable to collect on my accumulated revenue from blogging

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I can see this is getting me know where, because I just want my refund. I told you a million times why I had to close my account, so now you want me to open another account. My situation has not changed since I told you why I had to close my account. I could no longer afford the processing fee. And still can't as of this date.

Response:

Dear

[redacted],

We really

wished you had contacted us at the time you were first starting a billing cycle

with us. Normally, we are happy to give customers a full refund for a month of

service, for any reason whatsoever, because we do not want any unhappy

customers.

In your

case, we made an exception and granted you a refund of all charges from the

past 6 months from the date of your refund request, even though we could not

figure out why (if you were not satisfied with our service) you would continue

enjoying our services and paying for them monthly.

Had you

contacted us at the time you began paying for our services, we could have

offered a full refund and stopped your service. Instead, you were able to enjoy

our services for 6 months without paying for them (since this was refunded to

you). At this point, we are not what else we can reasonably do.

We are

more than happy to open a new account for you and transfer any non-refunded

payments to the new account so you can use it. If you would like to do this,

please contact us at [email protected].

Sincerely,

FanBox Outreach

Review: Within the past month, I've been receiving emails from this company stating that I have earnings and as a result of such earnings, I owe them fees totaling over $350.00 to date. Every day I receive such emails. I have no idea who this company is or how they got my name. Also, I'd like a response from this company stating I owe them nothing and whatever they considered my account is now closed .Desired Settlement: Confirmation of my request to remove my information from their files and state that I do not owe this company money.

Review: I received and e-mail on my Yahoo account stating a friend wanted me to view a video. Once I clicked on the supposed video it took me to a website called Fanbox.com and looked like it was an internet page set up using my e-mail account. I didn't understand it and closed it off. That was on July 7th. In the following days I was receiving several e-mails that stated I had earned money from them and it asked for a paypal account to send the money to me. I provided it and today I receive and e-mail stating Fanbox took 387.50 out of my pay pal account that is connected to my bank account. I was in total shock. I know nothing about fanbox and for them to do this is terrible. I now cannot pay my rent.

After this happened I have contacted my bank and have to go in and close my account and open a new one with a new number so that fanbox cannot continue to steal from me. I have contacted paypal who has opened a claim for me. I have also filed a complaint with the California Department of Justice because after researching this company, it seems they have quite a reputation of stealing e-mail addresses from peoples internet address books, setting up accounts under peoples e-mail address then when they get the e-mail supposedly from friends and they click anything on that fanbox page fanbox thinks they can now justify stealing from you.

They list a phone number that only ever rings busy all the time. They do not respond to their e-mails.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to refund the money stolen from me, admit that what they do is a scam and fraud and to stop defrauding people by making them think they will receive money!

Business

Response:

When you clicked the link to view the video, an account was

created for you so you could view it. Once your account became active, an IPL

credit was granted and activated so you could begin earning money. You then

received an email to protect your account using a PayPal or credit card. This

signs you up for the automatic account protection plan which means that you can

cash out your earnings using your PayPal and you can be charged to your PayPal

if your account were to fall below a $2 balance. Because your IPL credit had

been utilized to generate earnings, you accrued several IPL processing fees

which were then applied to your PayPal account.

We have already issued you a refund of $387.57 to your

PayPal today. We received your email on Saturday and have responded to your email

today. We were able to locate your account. We will go ahead and close your

account so the IPL processing fees will be canceled. No further charges will be

applied to your PayPal account.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If

you have any questions, feel free to contact us at [redacted]@corp.fanbox.com.

Review: I was recently sent a bill for a service I did not request. I have never heard of fanbox and started to recieve emails stating that I owe this company money. I attempted to contact the company however, the site asks for additional personal information and I believe this is SPAM and not a legitimate company. I refuse to pay for a service that I have never heard of and I am unsure of how and what they are billing me for.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reassured that I do not owe this company any money as I did not recieve or sign up for this service.

Regards,

Review: I would like to file a complaint about this company FanBox. Last month (April 2013) I believe when they started sending me an email. I normally would delete an email that appears to be an advertising material or if I do not know the sender of the email. I was using my cell phone and as I was trying to delete the email, I accidentally clicked it and opened the email. I immediately closed it as I was not interested in it. I probably had that email open for about 30 seconds. I did not think any of it until I started getting emails almost everyday stating I earned some money. I was ignoring their emails because I am very sure I have nothing to do with. Until last week, I saw this penalty courtesy notice that stated that I have a processing due by June 9, 2013 of $15.01 and will be $20.02 if not paid by June 9, 2013. I don't know how this company has the decency to charge me for a service that I never signed up for. I do not know anything about their service and did not sign up for it. These people do not have any information about me but my email address, I hope. If this is a legitimate service that I signed up for, I would have provided them more information about me but I did not. I am asking for your help to make this company stop from sending me these harassing emails.Desired Settlement: I am asking for your help to make this company stop from sending me these harassing emails. Please do not provide this company any additional information about me. Please only reference my email address communicating to this company. I do not want them to know more information about me that I have provided Revdex.com( such as my address etc) that they can do further damage to me. I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you so much in advance.

Regards,

Clearly, Revdex.com is getting paid by Fanbox for maintaining the high ratings (search "Revdex.com 20/20" on youtube), otherwise a company that has been relentlessly spamming people in every corner of the globe and sending false charges to their bank accounts doesn't even deserve an F rating. Make it Z.

Review: Fanbox (empowr) is a scam. They are trying to use the Facebook format, blogging, posting, sharing, liking post, videos and pictures, but you supposed to "make" money. You are supposed to gain as many fans a possible to increase your earnings. While you are increasing your earnings you have to pay for using ad credits, the higher you’re ranking the more you have to pay. Per their rule and regulations you to be up in upper rankings to get your ad credits deducted from your earnings but in the meantime you have to pay out of pocket.Desired Settlement: I would like to get refunded all of my money that Fanbox debited from my account.

Hi [redacted],

Review: I joined Fan Box years ago. They just recently asked me to update my credit card information so that I could cash out my earnings. Fan Box said that my earnings are a total of $8,032.93 They have charged my credit card twice for what they say is my dues that are owe on my earnings. If I earn it then why can't I get what I've earn and not have them continuously charging my credit card?Desired Settlement: If this is a legit business, then let's do business. Give me My earnings and then they may continue with taking fees that are due. If they cannot give me my earnings then I'd like them to refund me what they have taken from me.

Hi [redacted],

Review: I received a notice on my email that says I owe IPL fees. I not only do not know what IPL stands for or represents. Somehow they got my email address and sent a monthly list of fees which I have no idea what they are . Nor do I intend on paying it. I think this is a scam and should be investigated.I have never received billing or processing fees before this month. All of a sudden I get late charges and processing fees dating back to February. I want this to be resolved now in writing, that I do not owe them anything or do I want to purchase anything from this company. Remove me from their files.Desired Settlement: removal, association , get rid of all fees , charges and demands for payment to Fanbox .

these guys somehow tied into my facebook or something like that and have been charging my account. each time I contact them they say they will refund me and say that I will loose my earnings. When I say what earnings they never respond. Very shady....Don't trust

Review: I am not sure how my account was created -possibly from opening a fanbox spam e-mail. However, fanbox started billing me, at the same time saying I had account balance of 2000+ dollars.
