Like many other is see have complained. I too have been receiving bogus emails claiming that I've earned so much money from my postings. I have never made an account with them, I have never heard of them until the emails started, I cannot earn money from postings if I don't even know what postings they are referring to.

If so many are complaining, why do they not have a lower rating? Why can't anything be done about it if they are spamming people?

I want my data removed from their system.

Review: FanBox does not have my approval. I filled out the credit charge info but I did not fill out the second page. FanBox attempted to bill me anyway. I have email records if you want them.Desired Settlement: Delete me.

Review: Almost a year ago I was emailed by a friend saying that he was online and 'friended' me to this company, fanbox, then fanbox kept emailing me saying that I had 'earned' revenue from going online with my [redacted] acct.that I use to see my family and friends that moved across the nation.Thinking this was questionable after six months and kept getting emails telling me to respond to my ever growing earnings,I 'contacted', or rather a fanbox rep.(?) emailed me to fill out my forms. After exchanging emails and told that I should wait to 'cash out' until the 90 days since starting the 'scheme' would give me more earnings.Since the double talk involved me filling the completed form, sans bank card,I was told to wait until a year would be milestoned in order to 'cash out' with the much needed monies having the power to increase.Yesterday evening I wished to see the account that I had, but in order to 'cash out' that last bit of info,i.e. cc was needed.I had tried to contact anyone who could assist me, three times I had entered a query with a fanbox rep. although on his site it had showed he was chatting online with another,he refused to answer my email, thus after 1 hour, and being late at night I gave up.This morning an email was waiting for me from the rep.to parapharse, the man said that I needed to find my own 'mentor' online and that he could not give me any new info as he was not privy to my account, whereas last email I had sent before retiring stated that same info.:that I had 'accumulated' nearly 2,000usd in my acct and that I wished to 'cash out',filled in the info needed to get the remainder what was left, but then I was informed that ipl had eaten it all,and to keep waiting to earn something back,as the 90 days was gone, the next 30 days I could reinvest, and that the next 60 days from inception I could buy services. All I wanted to do was to get the one third of the daily 'earned'I was told was left, but that was totally gone.I tried to chat, but was ignored.I will be stopping bank charges asap.Desired Settlement: Since I now believe this is a Ponzi scheme, I wish the promised earnings, of one third the total I was promised earlier.I was lied to at the first half way mark, six months, then ignored when the question as to where the monies I was promised had gone at the near year mark. Also I hope that the bank can stop any 'unauthorized' fees to be pulled from my account by Fanbox. If not, then a full refund will be asked.

You have secured your account with a credit card or PayPal account; therefore, no charges have been applied to your credit card or PayPal account. Furthermore, no charges will be applied to your PayPal or credit card since you have not linked a payment source to your FanBox account. Your earnings are available in your FanBox bank balance. Since you have utilized part of your IPL limit to generate those earnings, you must pay back the amount you utilized. You can use your fully matured earnings to do this. You currently have around $500 in fully matured earnings and over $1800 in earnings that are still maturing. However, you have not paid back the IPL funds you utilized to generate those earnings. This must be done in order to cash out. Also, you have not paid several IPL processing fees. These must be paid in order to keep the earnings you have generated. If you would like more information in regards to your currently balance, please contact us at [email protected].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

The 'business' emailed stating that I had 'earned' monies for the 'cash out', I attempted to close the said business with Fanbox by 'cashing out', yet still the amount available was zero according to my sheet of activity, I wish to end this charade after I saw that if my 'IPL" account drops any lower that they would take out monies from my credit card, this is unacceptable. Because the way that Fanbox conducts it's ways of obtaining the monies to pay their top people resembles a Ponzi scheme I wish not to contribute to their 'business' methods. The 'person' that they claimed help me join their enterprise disavows any knowledge of such and wishes that I follow through in disengaging myself from this 'business'. If they can guarantee that my personal account is not compromised and I am not involved in their schemes any longer I will not press on. Otherwise, I will be put in a difficult position of doing so

Your IPL account has been turned off so you will no longer utilize IPL funds to generate earnings. You are not required to pay any fees if you do not wish to keep your IPL-based earnings. If you would like to delete your FanBox account, please let us know.

Response:

Hi [redacted],

Here as update on her account:

She has generated $1792.47 in earnings from using her IPL limit (ad credits) to generate those earnings. Because she has not paid any IPL processing fee or what she has utilized in IPL funds, she is unable to cash out.

We have gone ahead and closed her account. She no longer owes any IPL processing fee. All processing fees have been canceled as well as her earnings.

We have removed her email address from our mailing lists as well.

Please let me know if anything else is needed to close this case.

Regards,

This Fanbox started sending me email that I earned something ( in US$) from what they are describing and showing to be very Vague and difficult to understand. Then they regularly send Emails saying that my earnings have grown.. and so on. They required me to register thru Pay{Al in order to obtain my earnings, but behold - they are asking me to register my credit card. Afetr a while, they hay have started to charge me on my credit card, last month $8.03 and this month, $22.57. So I already disputed this and asked my Credit Card Bank to Block my Card and never to pay this Hoax Fanbox! If you respond to their email, it wont be received, because they hid their email address. Hoax! Hoax! SCam!

Review: Received various emails stating that I owe money for "IPL", I have never signed up or ask for anything to do with this company. They keep stating that I owe them a monthly fees and it keeps increasing every month. I have found no way to get in touch with them until I found them here.Desired Settlement: Stop this company! Thank you

Review: Hello,After reading all the other complaints there is no need to tell the whole story about fanbox. I can see you already know what they do.Today, I recieved a $25.00 charge on my paypal account from fanbox for no reason.I have disputed the charge because today is the first time I have ever heard of fanbox. These people are crooks[redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the $25.00 charge reversed and hopefully jail time for the owners of this company since they have clearly scammed numerous people already.

I did not opt out of an email as suggested. this is a scam and you and I both know it. No one should have access to my funds without my approval.

Review: Several months ago, I received an email to view photographs posted by one of my close friends on a website called Fanbox.com, and assumed it to be similar to flickr.com, When I went to their website, I was requested to register, which I started to enter information until it looked suspicious, then immediately exited the website. Recently, I received a couple more emails from them to view my friend's photos. Not realizing that my data was previously captured, I recently began receiving emails about having earnings, and now one today about owing something called an IPL fee. I did not authorized anything, and want nothing to do with this company. This company appears to be a scam. I attempted to contact them, but to their convenience it is impossible to reach a human, which makes them appear even shader.Desired Settlement: I want them to remove my information from their database, stop contacting me, and dissolve any financials that they feel they owe me (earnings of $1095.76 questionable and unauthorized) or vice versa (IPL fee of $101.78 again questionable and unauthorized). There is no way on earth that I am divulging any personal financial information to these people. In addition, I would like some form of confirmation that this issue is resolved.

Regards,

I have been on FanBox since 2011. I thought it would be a legit site where I could earn while blogging and just doing the simple things to make money. But since there has been this "ultimatum" to join "I'll Pay Later" or you will have to wait to another 30 days since your last earning to get my Cashout, FanBox has been absolutely ridiculous and scandalous. They have held my $637 hostage for most of the year now because it has been more than 3 months that I wanted to even cash some of it out.

I've earned that money that they have and I want it all back. They can have whatever was made when I was under "I'll Pay Later" because that money is all theirs. Furthermore, Success Coaches have been giving me the run around on why FanBox is "sooo good for earning money" without backing up their claims. The site still looks like it's in Beta and is using some of Facebook's appearances on its own site.

Blogging should not be this crazy. Blogging should not be a scam.

Review: I started receiving unsolicited emails 5 to 6 months back from "fan box". I did not sign up of this website, nor any of my friends refer me. There unsubscribe button does not work . They asked me to verify my [redacted] account then I was charged 53.04 for what? Emails to them are returned undeliverable and the phone messages are never returned on how and why and what I purchased. Review: I joined fan box ion march 16, 2013. I have built up a good about of money in what they call "boosting". The only money they release is for me to buy and purchase more ads for the company. I have yet to get any of the "so-called" money they keep informing me that I've earned. They say I'm not making as much as I should be because my account isn't protected. The only way to protect my account is by paypal or bank account. They take your ipl processing fees out automatically each month from your account. I want to know if this is just a big scam to get ahold of your banking information?Desired Settlement: The money they say I have earned.

Back in March of 2013 you agreed to use the IPL limit

granted to your account. Your IPL limit is a set of ad credits that can be used

to generate earnings. Once you accepted your IPL limit, a boost portfolio was

activated to begin spending your ad credits. Using these ad credits entails a

monthly processing fee.

Currently, you have your IPL limit turned off, meaning, you

are currently not using ad credits to generate earnings. Instead you are using

your earnings to spend on ads to generate more earnings. Your balance has

earnings that have not yet fully matured.

In order to cash out earnings, the following must take

place:

1.

Earnings must be fully matured (90 days after

the earning month)

2.

All IPL processing fees must be paid (your

account has been billed with fees which have yet to be paid)

3.

All ad credits utilized to generate those

earnings must be paid back (you can use your earnings to pay these back)

Review: This company debited over $900 from my business checking account without my authorization. My business partner and I had never heard of this company before. On April 1, they made 12 separate debits totalling over $900. on April 3, They made 12 separate credits returning all the money they took. However, by this point, they had already dropped our account below what was in the account and we were charged $179 and sent to collections for it. These transactions were not authorized and should never have taken place. Neither my parter nor I authorized these charges and have NEVER given out our account information. This is a very new business that we started and we have not done enough business yet to have given out our information.Desired Settlement: I would like the $179 that we were charged to be returned to us. Review: Hello my name is [redacted] S. [redacted].I received the email below from FanBox after a friend introduced me. I read that people were actually getting checks on the website. I authorized this ONE payment. I called and asked when I would receive my funds (i thought it would probably be less than $1600). They said I need to buy something with IPL money, but that I couldn't because I hadn't paid for the IPL (it was very confusing). I decided not to participate with FanBox, and to my shock they've been withdrawing funds from my account twice a month. I addressed this with them, still they take money from my account without my permission. I've called the 1-800 and the other phone# and left messages with no response. If you notice in the email, below it talks about Auto Account Protection; I DID NOT authorize and auto withdrawls. I want them to stop accessing my account and return ALL my money. PLEASE Help Me!!!!If you need them, I also have the email conversations of my shock and protest, when they initially starting taking money from my account without authorization. They have the point of contact names on it.See copy of email below.[redacted]Hi [redacted], So far, you have earned $1,653.72 since you started utilizing IPL. Watch the video to learn about IPL.
