Review: Force factor is actively advertising several free "samples" on the internet. I took advantage of this free sample (I paid 4.99 shipping) and was using the product and considering purchasing it again from a local store where it is sold. However, before I made my purchase I realized my account had been charged $84.98 for a bottle of the product that I did not order. No where (or at least hidden) was there any indication that this was a sign up program for the product. When I called and confronted them they offered discounts and various options to reduce the cost of the product immediatley. The only way however to get a full refund was to take the time to repackage, wait for a return label, ship and wait several weeks for a refund. I choose the option to get a 60% immediate discount and to be cancelled from the plan. The other options required me to stay on the plan, where I suppose the could find some other way to scam me. This is an unethic business practice anyway you look at it.Desired Settlement: I want my other $33.99, and I would like to see someone punished for using deceptive marketing strategies.

Review: I accepted a free product sample offered by this company. Within several weeks, they debited $90.93 from my bank account without permission or notification. When I confronted them, they said there was a link embedded in my 'thank you' letter which lead to another site which "authorized them to take this action". I immediately demanded a refund and committed to return the product. They issued me an RMA number ([redacted]) which I labeled both outside and inside of the package with per their instructions and returned it within the 30 days allotted (I received the unauthorized product on February 26 and returned mailed it on March 3). They were very rude and condescending on the phone with me and laughed when I asked then how soon I could expect a credit to my account or refund check (in fact, they refused to tell me in which form the refund would be issued). I have called several times since then to follow up. One of my calls was placed on hold and, after 20 minutes, the rep never returned to the call. On 2 other occasions, I was hung up on. After investigating this company's consumer complaints through other sources, it became obvious that these tactics are used as a regular part of their business strategy.Desired Settlement: (1) A complete refund of $90.93 for the sum illegally deducted from my bank account.

(2) An investigation of this company's marketing practices to determine if broad legal action should be pursued. I am confident that if a class action claim was filed, hundreds of victims would enjoin the suit.

Review: Force Factor offered a free sample of his product and a few weeks later sent an unrequested box of the same product. They made an unauthorized charge to my credit card and and included this text: "Your monthly shipment of Test X180 Ignite is enclosed"; perhaps meaning that they will continue sending unrequested amounts of the product and charging my credit card for $84.98.

I am a 73 years old retired male and feel that these people may be fooling persons like me.

Please tell me how to proceed further.

Thanks.Desired Settlement: I am returning the product and want the company to credit my credit card for the amount charged and the interest charge by the Bank.

Review: I ordered a free sample of a product called [redacted] and [redacted] health supplements, just paid shipping. I contacted them and told them I wanted nothing else from them. They drafted 74.98 from my account. I called to try and resolve this and they told me I had to wait until I received what they sent then return it, and it would be another 7 to 14 days before it would be back in my account. After going round and round with them trying to resolve the problem and get my money back, all I got was a mailing label sent to me via email. That was on the 26th of May. Then today, the 29th, they draft another 84.98 from my account. I called again and they tried to tell me they hadn't pulled money from my account and that he showed I had cancelled all services on the 26th. To top it all off I now have overdraft fees because of these drafts and still haven't received the stuff they claim they sent me, so I can return it. Why does it take 5 minutes to pull the money from my account but 14 days to put it back. If I went in [redacted] and pulled their product off the shelf and walked out with it, it's theft. They on the other hand have pulled money out of my account without permission and without me having any of their products.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the 84.98 plus the 74.98 plus the 32.00 for overdraft fees this unauthorized draft caused.

Review: I have requested to try a health/diet supplement by Force Factor with the understanding that if not satisfied, Force Factor offered a 30 day money back guarantee for any unopened bottles. Since the product did not provide any results or benefits as advertised I decided to request that they stopped sending me products and request refund for the last shipment charged to my credit card in June/2013. On 6/24/2013 I sent back 1 unopened bottle of their product along with my cancellation letter via USPS Certified mail (Tracking # [redacted]) The product and letter was received on 6/26/2013 and as of today (7/14/2013) I do not see a refund on my credit card.Desired Settlement: I am requesting Force Factor to notify me in writing either by mail or e-mail on the status of my cancellation request as well as the immediate refund of the product/item I returned to my credit card on file with Force factor.

Review: I ordered a test bottle of [redacted] from Force Factor website which was trial size and I was suppose to just pay shipping. I never signed up to be charge every month and never did I order a full size bottle, I just wanted to try the trial size. Two weeks later I receive a full size bottle on my doorstep and a $84.98 charge on my credit card. I called that day and wanted my money back but the Lady told me to try the product for 2 weeks, they would refund me $20.00 that day, and if I didn't like it I would receive a full refund. She told me I had until November 5th to call them by if I didn't like It I would receive a full refund and if I like it they would send me a monthly supply and charge me $50.00 a month. So I tried it for a couple weeks and didn't like the effect it was giving me so I called them back on Oct 29th to get my refund. The lady I talked to that day was nice but very fast to get off the phone. I could have sworn the lady said she would refund me the $60.00 but the lady I talked to today said she said 60%. I would have never agreed to this and never wanted a full bottle of pills in the first place. They refunded me $27.99 of the $64.98 of the money they still owed me, which leaves $36.99 out of my pocket. The lady I talked to today, which would not give me her name, but gave me her chair number 105, was very rude and started laughing at me when she could tell I was getting frustrated. This company's way of doing business seems very shady, BUYER BEWARE, read all the fine print.Desired Settlement: I just want my money refunded for something I never wanted in first place. Out of 84.98 they refunded me $20.00 and another $27.99 which leaves $36.99 I want back

Review: I unwittingly signed up for a vip membership program with force factor by simply paying for the postage of a free trial of the product to be delivered, a fact which I feel should've been made clear on the website straight away, not in the small print but that is irrelevant now anyway. I've noticed they have added a charge of £59.99 to my debit card (I'm from the UK) for the delivery of the first set of pills as part of the membership program. Obviously I do not want to keep the pills because I did not realise I was signing up to this program and wish to return them for a refund. It says in their terms and conditions that if I'm not happy with any of the "vip membership products" ie the food supplements they've sent me I can return them for a full refund minus the postage, which I think is reasonable. The only problem is they say I need to contact them to get an RMA number before I can return the package and they are not contactable. None of the phone numbers on there website have been working for me and they have no email address or contact form available on their website. I have spoken to the trading standards office in the UK which is where I currently live and they have advised me to contact the Revdex.com because it says in the terms and conditions that any disputes will be resolved by arbitration in Boston, Massachusetts. What would you advise is the best course of action for me to take considering I'm in the UK?Desired Settlement: I would like to be able to return my package for a full refund as stated in the terms and conditions

Review: The product in which I ordered as a free trial (BodyFit Lean Lifestyle Formula) contains much to much caffeine which was not advertised. After trying a small amount of the free trial product I decided the product was not appropriate to me. but on recently I noticed 2 unauthorized charges on my account for $74.98 one in February and March. I spoke with a representative of the company on 3/17/14 and 3/18/14. On 3/17/14 representative ([redacted]) was extremely nasty and basically bribing me to keep their product, offering to refund me $40 right now if I kept the bottle of the product just delivered. I said I will be returning the product immediately, which I did. When I realized the following day that there was another charge of $74.98 in February for the same product, but that I did not receive, I immediately called the company again and the representative (a female this time) was beyond nasty. I explained that I the only bottles of the product that were delivered was the free trial and the March delivery on 3/17/14, which I immediately mailed back on 3/18/14. She proceeded to get angrier and angrier insisting that the product was delivered to me and she would not even consider refunding me, that I need to take this issue up with my postal service. The bottom line is not only was the product falsely advertised, but the representatives should never be allowed to deal with the public in such a manner and I should absolutely not be paying for products that I never received. I requested a refund, but of course that was denied by the company representative.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of $74.98 for the month of February and they said they would refund me 69.99 for the month of March when they receive the returned product, but would like the full amount.

April 15, 2014To Whom it May Concern,Femme Factor takes allegations of fraud and non-compliance very seriously. In response to the abovereferenced complaint, we are unable to issue a monetary refund due to chargebacks on this order. The customer signed up for their free trial on 01/25/2014. The customer was then billed for their first monthly product on 02/12/2014 in the amount of 74.98 (69.99 plus 4.99 shipping and handling) and on 03/14/2014 in the amount of 74.98 (69.99 plus 4.99 shipping and handling). On 03/17/2014, the customer contacted the Femme Factor customer service center to cancel their account and obtain return instructions. Two chargebacks were filed on 03/19/2014 with the customers financial institution. This is currently going through the dispute process with the customers financial institution and we are unable to process a monetary refund. We apologize for any inconvenience the customer may have suffered. We trust that our actions satisfy both the consumer and the Revdex.com and consider the issue closed. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any future inquiries.Regards,Femme Factor, LLC

This company does NOT tell the customer that you don't get your money back until you ship the product back to them. Some one ordered their "free" sample. They forgot to cancel , so after the 14 day trial period, they were charged for the full price and would receive their product. I called them stating I wanted the money that they charged me full price for (which I hadn't received) returned to credit card. They informed me, I wouldn't be able to get my money back until I sent the product back, that they had just shipped out!! No where in their website is this stated, it just says you have a 30 day guarantee to return the product if you're not satisfied!! Now do they tell you, you have to return the product BEFORE you get your refund!!

Review: I signed up for a free sample of their Factor 2 product. One month later I received a second shipment and $74 was charged to my credit card. I called to indicate that I never placed the order and to request a refund, and that I would return the product. They agreed to refund and sent a label to return the product, however they did not pay for the return shipping -- they indicated I must pay for it.

I informed them that this was unordered merchandise, and per the FTC, I am not required to pay for shipment. They indicated that when I signed up for the free sample, I also signed up for the monthly product program, and that I needed to cancel within 18 days in order to avoid having my card charged and the product shipped. The representative indicated that this was stipulated in the from I completed when requesting a sample, as well as in the email I received.

I reviewed all emails received from the company and no such stipulation was present. I then went to their free sample page and began to complete the steps as if I was requesting a free sample, and no such stipulation is present.

My complaint and issue is that:

1) false advertising. there is no indication that you are signing up for anything but a free sample

2) false statements by the representative indicating that such statements were included in the email and website

3) incurred costs to return the product when I should not have had toDesired Settlement: Refund the cost incurred to return the product.

I would also like pressure placed on the company to either change their policy (the sample should *only* be a sample), or provide clear, upfront communication about the monthly signup and charges that will be incurred.

Review: Force Factor advertised a "Free Sample" of their product, all I had to pay for was shipping and handling. to do that I had to provide a credit card. less than a month later I receive a package in the mail with my first installment of the supplement I supposedly agreed to. When I call the company they stated that the information was very clear on their web site that I was entering into a contract with them. If it was there it was in very small print. There was not any check boxes or "I agree to this" statements that I had to check or click on to allow the transaction to take place. I cancelled my account with them and returned the product, although I am still waiting to received my refund, which I expect to occur the first week of September.Desired Settlement: I believe there is fraud in this issue somewhere, it should be very clear and require an acknowledgement that you are entering into a contract of any type. I am probably not the only person that this happened to so hopefully someone is keeping a data base on Force Factor and can either have them make necessary adjustements to their process or perheps even better, adjust the laws governing online sales. I know there are lows governing this type of action with paper or face to face transactions, hopefuully the same is true for online. thank you,

Response:

Review: Force Factor claimed to be providing "Free Samples", if you were willing to pay for Shipping and Handling. Instead they were really charging for a service that they did not make clear all terms and conditions. The service being a monthly supply, which apparently starts with a "Free Sample".Desired Settlement: Expect a refund of the product price. Looking around on the internet and now knowing the appropriate search terms, they are known for this behavior.

Review: 1st, I ordered a sample product (for $4.99) on August 5, 2014 (from Force Factor). Today I noticed that I was charged for an order without my authorization. I also found said product in my mailbox. When I called for the complaint I was given a return number (RMA [redacted]) and was told I would be refunded the $39.00, however, I was charged $74.94. When I stated this I was then informed that upon product return I will only be refunded $69.00 and not the full amount as they do not cover shipping charges. My complaint is why am I not receiving the full refund as I did not order this product in the first place? The representative claims that additional product order would be shipped was stated on their purchase page of the website. When initially purchased and even before I contacted Revdex.com I did not find any information otherwise I would not place an order due to this tactic. Again, I did not authorize this order and I cannot receive the full refund. I am already paying to return this item to them so I will be out approximately $10.00 as it stands. Very fraudulent practice.Desired Settlement: Full refund of $74.98

Review: I ordered a free sample of their product. When ordering I had to pay 4.99 for shipping and handling. I put in my debit card information for the shipping. I was then directed to a screen that gave me a great price for starting a regular shipment, which I declined. Now I find an unexpected charge on my bank statement and see that even though I declined the regular shipment, they are still taking it upon themselves to send out more product and charge my account without permission.

I have contacted the company Monday 4/14 and after trying to convince me to not discontinue ( something I never asked for in the first place) I politely declined and he did cancel the "membership" Then said that there was a process for being refunded ( I only wish there was a process for me to be charged in the first place) but I then had an interuption and had to ask him to hold a moment, when I came back he was gone.

So I called back on 4/16, the person I spoke to said that there were 2 ways they could refund ( the item that I never asked for in the first place) 1. was to get all of my money back, I have to wait till the product, ( now in route to me) arrives, and send it back, they will refund me when they get it back to them. ( I forgot to ask who pays for return shipping ( on an item I never ordered) I am guessing it is me. Or option 2. was I could be refunded 60% of my money back and just keep the bottle ( which I never ordered)

I think it is absolutly absurd, that I have to go through any of this, I never ordered anything but the sample. with 4.99 shipping Which I will say, If they thought anything of their product, then they should have confidence that after trying the sample, customers would come back and order from them at that point without being forced into ordering by some ( supposed super fine print)

I consider this stealing from me, taking advantage at the very least. The amount taken from me ( for something I did not want or order) was $74.98Desired Settlement: I would like my $74.98 refunded immediately.

I am more than happy to return the bottle as soon as it arrives, with them paying for the return shipment.

Review: Femme Factor offers a free sample of the product with the consumer paying just the shipping and handling of $4.99. I spoke to a representative this morning named [redacted] who was very rude and told me I lied about how I was taking the supplement. I told her I was having a negative reaction to the product with the current medications I was taking and she again called me a liar. This company is fraudulent and claims to send the customer an email stating there will be automatic shipments and deductions for future products which cost $74.98. I never received the email and again was called a liar. I was told that in order to return the product that I was going to have to pay shipping costs even though I was dissatisfied with the free sample.Desired Settlement: I was told by the company that a refund would take 1 to 3 business days but it could take up to two weeks if I return the product unopened using their shipping label and refusing the package. I could expedite the refund if I pay my own shipping cost of $15 which the company will not refund. I want to make sure the pubic is aware of this scam for the so called free sample. My financial institution said I could pay a $35 stop payment for this automatic payment reversal. This company is a fraud!!

Review: I followed a weblink (advertisement) which directed me to a product with a "FREE SAMPLE" (two week dosage) for a "SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEE" of $4.99. I received the sample without issue. However the following month forcefactor sent my additional unsolicited product and charged my credit card $74.98 without my permission. When I called forcefactor about the issue they claimed I had signed up for a "membership" and that the terms and conditions (which I never saw nor signed) indicated such. I explained to them that I did not agree to any "membership" and that they needed to send me a return mailing slip and RMA so I could return their product. They refused to provide me a postage paid or return postage label. It should be noted that customer service did not want to resolve my issue but kept telling me I signed up for a "membership" when I clearly did not.Desired Settlement: Provide a postage paid return address label, and stop fraudulent advertising practices.
