I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is mostly satisfactory to me as far as a refund goes. The business implies I opened an account and subscribed to their product. Nothing could be further from the truth. I went back and looked at everything as if I were anonymously requesting their advertised "free" offer plus shipping and nowhere does anything state that an account is opened/established and that a subscription will be started. Further, I had received emails asking me to comment on their product and to sign up for more which I never did.

I am an avid fan of Femme Factor's BodyFit product. I have been using it since the beginning of last spring in order for me to get into beach body shape. Not only did it help me get to my goal of weight loss, but I have also noticed my body start to tone through my workouts.

Review: In 3-1-14 I replied to a web site offering a free weeks 30 pill sample and I had to pay for shipping which I gave my debit card information about 2 days later I received my sample so the week after I was looking at my bank account online and seen that force factor took 91.63 out of my account with out my consent they already had took out the 9 dollars for shipping so I proceeded and called them they gave me an RMA number to return merchandise so I went to postal service an returned back to them which I have a receipt for waited about 10 days and called and emailed several times they claim they have not received productDesired Settlement: money back and hope this does not happen to some one else

thanks for helping out force factor just sent me an email today at 3:53 pm stating they will be crediting my account it will take them 7 business days.

Review: I ordered a test sample of the product for $4.99 on April 2, 2014. Nowhere on the forms was there any indication that I was more than a test order. However, they have been shipping product at $74.98 every month since then. When I called, I was told there was an automatic subscription on my order form. That is a lie. I asked for full refunds to my credit card and I got a run around, put on hold for a supervisor. I hung up after 4 minutes and 20 seconds. This is absolutely wrong. I went back into my emails and confirmations with the company and find absolutely no mention or reference to subscriptions and had I known that, I would not have completed the test order.Desired Settlement: I want my credit card refunded for all charges.

Review: I ordered a sample of a product. I tried it. I did not want anymore. The company sent me more of the product and charged me for it. I can't get a refund. The company won't even answer the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund.

Review: I ordered a sample for $4.99 and then they charged my account $84.98. The customer service rep said that in their terms and conditions I had signed up for some monthly program. I looked at their terms and conditions, had to scroll down to the fine print and way hidden in that print is the fee. VERY VERY SHADY STUFF. [redacted] "force factor scam" and notice all the people screaming about this online. I was told the president of this company spent some time in prison for similar activities.Desired Settlement: Full refund + $85 for my troubles

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:This is a standard response. Their credit card billing practices are very fraudulent. Take a look at their terms and conditions, hidden deep within them you will see the recurring charge. Their are people screaming about this on the internet. I will continue to post on social media, and write their congressment about their business practices, unless they refund my shipping cost to send the product back, plus I want the $5 back for the sample, which totals $13.50.

An absolutely fantastic product for women that are trying to get into shape. It gives you an extra bump of energy at the gym and if you are doing the right things you will find yourself getting into shape in no time!

Review: I bought force factor from their ad on the internet. The advertisement claimed a two week supply and you just paid the shipping. The add stated to click here to see if you qualified. It then took you to another page. it then of course stated that you qualified and you just have to pay shipping. What you dont see is the terms and conditions placed next to the qualify. They are buried at the bottom of the page off the screen. What happens is you then get charged 79.99 to your credit card 18 days later and another bottle shipped out. You call and they state did you read the terms and conditions. You dont see those terms and conditions unless you scroll down. I liked the product but I in no way signed up to have my credit card charged this amount. I invite you to check youtube about this product and amazon also

force factor test 180. you will see dozens of complaints regarding their practiceDesired Settlement: I desire to see that forcefactor change their selling practice and for an apology letter. I would also like to see their website changed so that others wont get hurt by this free trial. which is not.

Response:

Review: Force Factor has continued to charge me after confirming cancellation of subscription via email.

Force Factor originally "auto-subscribed" me in shipments of their fitness supplements after I had signed up for a free sample. While I understand this is not technically illegal, it was most definitely underhanded as many people have complained about being auto-enrolled and not knowing on online fitness and consumer forums. Clearly they are keeping this information in fine print or hidden. (As I am unwilling to go back through the sample process I am unable to confirm that they even mention the subscription at all in the sample process.) However, accepting that I fell for an underhanded sales tactic (and it was my own problem), I called their company, cancelled my subscription, and requested an RMA number for return of the first non-sample product. I was emailed a cancellation confirmation, and return instructions. I followed the instructions, took pictures to prove my following of these instructions, and then mailed the product back to the company. I was ultimately returned the purchase price to my credit card (however, I do not know if it was because the return was processed, or because I challenged the charge through my credit card.) THEN, two months later, there returns a charge on my credit card from Force Factor.Desired Settlement: A refund of my purchase charge, and PROOF that my credit card information is no longer in Force Factor's possession. The onus should not be on my to continuously check my card for fraudulent charges from a company that has confirmed my cancellation.

Review: Even after cancelling, they sent their product anyway , AND billed my checking account for that product. Their "customer service" (SALES) people will drag you through endless recitations of information, and give an ENDLESS performance that gives you NONE of the information you called them for. One of those clerks ([redacted]) insisted on you giving him small talk answering questions (how was your weekend?)before proceeding with his irrelevant speel! It took reading of their website and MANY calls before getting a rational agent ([redacted]) and an RMA to put on their package that I am refusing back through the USPS. NOW I have to go back through my bank to refuse their charge on my account. It should be ILLEGAL for companys to operate in this country in this manner. There USED to be a code of ethics that governed rrtail in this country..... This was supposed to be a free sample of this product....Desired Settlement: I demand a refund from this company, AND I expect them to PERMANENTLY stay away from my accountin the future. I will NEVER do business with the likes of these is.

Review: There are multiple problems to report. 1) When I signed up for free trial and paid for the shipping, the acceptance box I checked had no fine print. I didn't discover until 3 weeks later the fine print was hidden on the very bottom left of the screen, out of sight from where you enter your credit card info. Had it been it clear sight where I enter my credit card information I would have never taken trial. 2) I took these supplements exactly one day. 2 in the morning and 2 before I worked out. That night I had the worse diarrhea I have ever had. I have never taken another pill. 3) April 16, 2014 I noticed my bank account had a charge by Force Factor of $74.98 processing. I called Force Factor as soon as they opened to have this corrected. I was told that they could not stop charges as another supply had shipped at 6:00 A. M. I asked them to stop the shipment, they refused. I then told them that I was going to call my bank to report these charges. This is when the operator threatened me that, and I quote her, "If you contact your bank we will not be able to refund you your money". I then hung up with her and promptly called my bank. I don't like to be threatened. They where quite appalled at what she said to me.Desired Settlement: 1) Make them redesign their web site so that the fine print is where you enter your credit card information and not completely hidden like it is now. I t appears to me that they are purposely trying to mislead the consumer. 2) The quality of this product should be closely evaluated as I am never sick. I have not missed a day of work for being sick in 20 years. For this product to make me as sick as it did there has to be something wrong. 3) Review their refund policy. If someone calls that their web site has mislead, refund their money immediately. Don't make them wait to receive product, return, and then wait 10 more days to get their money back. 4) Review the threats they are making. To tell a consumer they will not be able to refund their money if they contact their bank is nothing more then bullying.

Review: I recently read an ad which portrayed it'self to be a trial sample... The requested trial was to be for shipping only, which, I declined initialy although it was only a little over $4... The ad kept prompting until it said to try this product for shipping only, .99 cents... The product was test x180 by force factor... After allowing the free trial to be shipped, I decided I didn't really want to try something of this nature... So I have never tried it the first time!!! I just figured I was out .99 cents, no big deal... Well today I recieve a package in the mail from the same company... Imagine my confusion since I didn't want it to start with... So after finding out what it was I learn that my credit/debit card was being charged $74.98 and that I was being placed on an autoship list... "Wow", this completely floored me!!! I am disabled and, live on a monthly alotment of $710.00 per month... I feel this is nothing less than one big scam!!! I do not appreciate having my credit information misused in this manner!!! I have attempted to call the number on the info. pack but it says no longer in service, or has been changed...Desired Settlement: Refund the money to my account, and, remove me from any and, all mailing lists!!!!!

Review: I call Force factor on January 2014 to order their product. In their advertisement they say to try their product and all what you have to pay was shipping and handling. When I called the person that answer the phone told me that all what I have to pay was shipping and handling, nothing more and that if I like the produce to call them back to order more. I did order the product and on March 2014 I received a bag with the same product. I call them immediately and told them that I have not order any produce, and at the same time I was reviewing my my credit card bill and I notice that they have charged me on February for something I never received. The person on the phone promised me that he was going to take care the problem and that he was feeling generous and was going to credit me for February, but that he has to charge my account for March. I told him that as long he cancel my the charges to my account I was ok with it. To my surprise today May 16, 2014 I received another package so I called them and the person I talked to told me that he was trying to help me and that it was my fault for not reading the fine prints when I made the order. I told him what fine prints, if the person that I talked to on the phone never told me about that. He told me that I had made the order on line which I am sure never did. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he put me on hold and hang up on me. I called back several times after that and the other employees that answered the phone make it impossible to talk to a supervisor. Shame on them.Desired Settlement: I want them to refund my credit card for charges I never authorized. Shame on this company, the last person I talked to told me the some guys in the company do this so they don't look bud with a cancellation. Shame on them. no integrity. I told him that I was going to report them and he told me that it was practically my fault. I hope that you help me on this matter and that they do not do this to any other consumer.

Thank you!

Review: "Free trial" offered a two week supply of a product but failed to disclose I was opting in to a monthly supply. I have returned the first shipment following this company's directions precisely. The company has represented that it will refund my purchase price but not refund ship charges ($4.95) nor my return postage (assumed about the same). Company representative made offer to reduce my charges by 50% "to close the matter." I declined. This offer tells me they expected a complaint and makes me doubt that I was ever offered opt-out.Desired Settlement: Refund as promised (assumed they will make it when product is returned)

Postage both ways $9.90 unless they can demonstrate unequivocally that I and a chance to opt out of monthly shipments when I provided a CC number.

Review: They claim free sample on their website without revealing clearly that they will enroll you for automatic charges and shipment behind the scene. Review: I paid for shipping and handling on an advertised free 14-day supply at the following website: [redacted]

The "Terms & Conditions" section which is a .jpg on the page didn't load, but when it does load it states that you have 18 days to cancel your "trial membership" or you automatically get charged $74.98 a month and sent a monthly supply of their supplements. And no where else during the ordering process does it say that I'm signing up for a membership or that I had 18 days to cancel this "trial membership" that is only noted on the .jpg "Terms & Conditions." Every other website that has a free sample where you pay for shipping and handling, clearly states that you have to cancel the membership in "X Days" or automatically get charged the monthly supply amount, but Force Factor's website clearly doesn't and is misleading. They should also have the Terms & Conditions in text and not as a .jpg and they should clearly state the Terms & Conditions on your receipt and order confirmation too, which they don't.Desired Settlement: I'd like to get a full refund for $74.98 as they haven't given me that yet and they also never even sent me the month supply for $74.98 and told me that since I already cancelled my membership that I have to contact USPS in order to get a refund or the product that USPS said they already delivered to me which I never received.

Business

Response:

Review: I ordered a free trial sample of testx180 from force factor. The terms said that you must call to cancel within 14 days or you would be charged for ongoing shipments of product. When I called to cancel they were being extremely pushy and I had to get an attitude with them before they would finally let me cancel the ongoing orders. I called and cancelled the same week that I ordered the trial sample. Around 45 days later I noticed a charge on my account from the company. when I called to check the charge they said I didn’t call to cancel the orders after I told them I did they said got extremely rude and said to send it back. After looking at some reviews it seems like this is the way they do business all of the time.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my credit card credited immediately and they can either provide me a return label or I can keep the product. I do not want to have to pay to ship something that I cancelled long before it shipped. Nor do I want to have to wait a month before the charge is credited to my card and have to call and deal with these rude people again.

Business

Response:

Review: Force Factor continues to charge may credit for additional purchases I did not authorize. The Company did not clearly and adequately inform the customers of their continued charges even if the purchase was for one time only in conjunction of their free offer. At the time I made my purchase, there was no adequate and categorical information made to me that this one time purchase in conjunction with a free offer will continue until the customer directs stoppage of said additional purchases, even if the customer has not expressly authorized it.Desired Settlement: Force Factor should not burden the customers with unwanted and un-approved additional purchases without CLEARLY AND CATEGORICALLY WARNING THE CUSTOMER that the free offer and initial purchase shall continue until the customers says so.

Force Factor SHOULD (1) PLACE THIS CONDITION and (2) this condition should be at the place where the customers can OBVIOUSLY see them; AND (3) FORCE FACTOR SHOULD SEND AN EMAIL EVERYTIME A NEW DELIVERY IS BEING MADE SO THAT THE CUSTOMER WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO CANCEL THE UN-APPROVED PURCHASE.

FORCE FACTOR should stop this practice of allowing the customers into quick sand. IT IS UNETHICAL, and at the very least, almost amounting to deception and forcing the customers to pay for something they did not actually purchased.

Review: I ordered a "Free trial offer" of their supplemetn product force factor which I received. I have used that product to assess its performance. I received in the mail on September 4th a bottle of their supplement which I did not order. My credit card was charged approximately $75 for this shipment. I called their customer service and was given a runaround. I was threatened, you will not get your money back if you dispute this charge with [redacted], you can pay $41.00 keep the product and we wil cancel subsequent orders, you have a contract with us etc.. I asked repeatedly for a mailer at their expense, I was sent via email an RMA mail lablel. The label was their addres with an invoice number and an RMA number and I had to pay the return shipping. I took offense to the jerk on their phone line who refused to listen to my requests and to the fact that these people are DISREPUTABLE. They did not give me time to actually utilize the "trail offer" to see if it worked and I liked it, I should have the benefit of ordering any product at my disgression and desire not theirs. They were not authorized to charge anything other than the initial trial offer shipping costs to my credit card. I should not have to pay to return unwanted product. This company and product is affiliated with [redacted].. They will only credit my card when they receive the product which caused me to pay more for shipping with a reciept of acceptance from them.Desired Settlement: refund to my credit and refund of $5.00 for shipping costs
