Flowers by Amy Reviews (182)

Review: I ordered flowers for my mother-in-law's birthday on Mar. 22nd, which was a Saturday. I placed my order around 10:30am, and Flowers by Amy guaranteed delivery the same day if ordered before 3:00pm. I received an email confirmation, showing delivery date of March 22nd, with all of the other info correct. Later in the day, I received another email, indicating that the order was complete. Only problem was, the order wasn't complete! My mother-in-law didn't receive flowers on Mar. 22nd, as ordered and guaranteed. The following day, Sunday, March 23rd, I waited until the end of the day, thinking maybe flowers would show up that day by fluke. No flowers, so I sent an email on Sunday evening, Mar. 23rd, requesting a prompt refund, as Flowers by Amy missed my mother in-law's birthday. After I cancelled my order and demanded a prompt refund, Flowers By Amy finally sent flowers, but not until Monday, Mar. 24th! I requested a delivery date for a reason, not so that Flowers by Amy could guess when I really wanted them delivered. This is nonsense. It is embarrassing to look as though you missed a special occasion, when every effort was made on my end. Flowers by Amy provides nothing but aggravation, and they need to be called on it. The only thing they do well is charge people's credit cards. Their tactics are underhanded and deceitful. They never answer their phone line, all voice mail boxes are full, so messages can't be left, and no emails are answered. The customer service at Flowers by Amy is non-existent, and they are awful. Also, their advertising is false, because they state that they are servicing Fruitland Park, FL, when in actuality, they are a virtual florist, with just a website. They aren't servicing anyone, anywhere, they are simply a middle man sending out wires. I feel that Flowers by Amy's business practices are fraudulent, and I demand a refund since they missed my mother-in-law's birthday.Desired Settlement: Charge Back Credit Card Amount $53.94, Order #80142.

I have left several voice messages as well as emails wanting to know why and have not received a response. I have yet to receive a refund on my credit card either. Order instructions indicated if same day delivery not possible to advise.Desired Settlement: to receive a full refund and have the order sent as promised.

Review: Ordered two flower arrangements for my sister and brother in law. One sympathy because my brother in law lost his Mom. Another just because to show my sister we love her. They never received the flower arrangemetsDesired Settlement: I would like my money refunded. Paid with a Debit card.

Review: Ordered a floral arrangement of Peaceful White Lilies Basket looked beautiful on line . I ordered them for a funeral which I attended, no such flowers sent instead sent daisies {no lilies at all) Flowers were not arranged attractive. It was an embarrassment for me. I had funeral director looking for flowersI ordered finally informed me the daisies had my name on card. I was very upset. Called Amy's # several days in a row .Answered the phone 1 time & hung up no response from her.Desired Settlement: She should either refund money or at least show concern her product looked so bad

Review: I ordered flowers for same day delivery on October 10th 2014. I am located in Florida and searched local [redacted] and Amys flowers popped up so I ordered the flowers to be delivered. I contacted my sister who is in the hospital at 9:00pm that evening and she never received flowers. I tried multiple phone calls, emails etc. and the Flowers by Amy never answered or returned my calls. I later looked at my credit card and it was charged by a company in Irvine CA and after looking at the many negative reviews I thought this may be a scam. I still have not received the flowers 4 days later and was charged $43.16 for nothing. I have contacted my credit card and alerted them to this.Desired Settlement: I want an immediate refund from this company.

Review: Online order via their website www.amyflorist.com, ordered flowers for my sons birthday on Mar 17th for delivery on Mar 18th. Flowers were never delivered. Tried to reach business early in the day (Mar 18th) by phone left a voicemail asking for delivery status. Website said order was awaiting shipment. Emailed [email protected] for status and then order status changed online to completed. Tried to reach and voicemail box was full, tried to reach via website no answer, tried numerous times throughout day. Flowers never delivered and to date have not heard back from them. Account was not refunded, have filed dispute with credit card company as well. Must be some way to block these businesses on the internet so others are not burned. Only after the bad experience did I check your website and find that they had numerous complaints. Want refund and an apology for completely ruining my day and stressing me out on top of it.Desired Settlement: Credit card refunded.

Review: I submitted an online order for a floral arrangement and submitted a change to the original order for a different date. The customer service representative confirmed the order but the arrangement was never delivered. I emailed the company 6 times, left two messages, and once I was able to reach an employee ([redacted]) she stated that the person that changed the order was a gentleman who was let go and the notes were never made on the account.

I later learned from the corporate address that I provided that the flower arrangement was never delivered and Amy Florist could not provide proof of delivery and refused to provide me with a refund. (Order [redacted])Desired Settlement: I would like my original amount refunded and I think that more reviews should be available online.

Review: I had made a typo on my requested message, I immediately called back and the telephone was answered and the typo was corrected for me.In my order, I SPECIFIED that they were to call before making delivery because I knew she was often out playing bridge. They did not do that. I wanted the order delivered to the lady on a SPECIFIC Day. Because they did not call her, she did not get her fresh flowers until 2 DAYS LATER. That is unacceptable to me.Sunny Smiles (Date of Delivery: 4th Sep 2014, Card Message: Sunny, This arrangement is called "Sunny Smiles" so I thought it was appropriate to be sure that your 90th "Birthday Season" at least lasts a month! Love, [redacted], Comments: Please call to be sure she is home before delivering., Upgrade: As Shown, Add a Balloon: No, Box of Chocolates: No, Stuffed Animal: No) I have called the company and left a message two different times, explaining my complaint. They have never responded to my call.Desired Settlement: $48.54 to be refund back to my credit card.

Review: Ordered flowers on-line. Had put in the wrong delivery date so I tried calling - many ,many times as well as e-mailing. Phone calls were answered by a tape recording stating that all customer service representatives were busy and to leave a voice mail message. Could not leave voice mail message because "box" was full. Tried e-mailing but received no response.

This business - it is not a florist but a "scam".Flowers were never delivered and after going back on the internet found many complaints about this so called "florist".Desired Settlement: Company be contacted for scam practices and ensure my credit card is not charged or compromise.

Review: We ordered flowers online from this company on June 24, 2015 for a friends birthday. Not only were they not delivered on that day, it has been 3 days with no delivery. When we call the 800 number listed it goes straight to a voicemail. No one calls answers, no one calls back. We have also tried emailing with no response. I believe the owner is running a scam flower shop. There are numerous complaints against this company. I have no idea how they are still operating.Desired Settlement: I want a phone call from the owner. I want the flowers we ordered delivered. I want a credit to my boyfriends credit card for the order.

Review: I am currently overseas and ordered flowers for my wife and daughters... what was delivered in no way matched what was shown on the website. I understand that if the business is out of a certain flower, they can substitute with another, but they substituted every aspect and it looked absolutely nothing like what was ordered.Desired Settlement: In this case, what was delivered was not at all what was ordered. I am not unreasonable but this order did not represent what was shown. The flower business in general needs to be better regulated, in any other business this would not be acceptable.

Review: I purchased flowers for my mother for Mother's Day at www.amyflorist.com. I found this business by searching for flower shops in Humble, Texas, where my mother lives. I live in England. The website tried to make it look like it was a local flower store in Humble, Texas and it even states online that 'Amy Florist is a family operated flower store' I purchased the 'Cotton Candy' bouquet which is advertised on their website and the total cost including delivery was $59.34. My mother sent me a picture of the flowers that arrived and they were not the ones that I had selected and paid for online. They were clearly a way smaller, skimpier version and are clearly not the same product that was advertised on their website. I went back to their website to re-visit the site and discovered this was actually an operation based in Irvine, California. I sent them a complaint email asking for a resolution and they have not answered my email, nor are they picking up the phone: 800-316-5738 and their other phone number 949-838-5075 is not a working number. The 800 number is just an answering machine with a woman's voice saying we can't come to the phone and to do everything online. I started to become concerned that this was not a legitimate business shortly after this. I started doing some research online and was absolutely shocked with what I found out. If you take a look at the following links: [redacted] and [redacted] you will see the shocking revelations that I saw and really started to worry. It became clear I was the victim of a scam business. Fast forward about 10-15 international calls from England to them later and no answer, nothing! One thing I have found in my research is that they sometimes go by the name Flowers by Amy and sometimes Amy Florist. Please help, I just want my money back and for them to stop duping customers.Desired Settlement: I want the money I spent $59.34 returned to my credit card as I have clearly been the victim of a scam business. I would also like this so-called business to stop operating online and ripping off other customers.

Review: Googled "local" florist in Griffin, GA to find Amyflorist.com, ordered flowers for a funeral but they were never delivered and the number given goes straight to a voice mail. After multiple calls and emails, I searched the internet to find numerous consumers had the same problem after paying for flowers online. This company is fraudulent. Please help stop them from stealing from innocent people.

I paid for the order using [redacted] so hopefully I will get my refund from [redacted]. I am thankful I didn't divulge all of my credit card information, which other consumers had done.Desired Settlement: AMY FLORIST IS STOPPED FROM INTERNET FRAUD AND PROSECUTED.

Review: On February 16th, I placed an online order with Amy Florist for a sympathy floral arrangement ([redacted]) for my girlfriend and her family in California after the passing of my girlfriend's grandmother. On February 17th, a bouquet was delivered but it was not the correct one. I emailed Amy Florist and included the copy of my order (which clearly showed which arrangement I had ordered) and pictures of the arrangement that was delivered. There was no response from Amy Florist. The next day (the 18th), I called Amy Florist but only got a voicemail, so I left a detailed message and even referred to the email I had sent on the 17th. There was no response from Amy Florist. A couple of hours later, I called again, and again I got the voicemail message -- I could see what was happening. Today (the 19th), I called yet again and, of course, got their voicemail. I left an even longer, more detailed message, during which I told them I would email them again, quoted their claims of quality customer service (read directly from their website) and even told them that if I did not hear from them within a couple of hours that I would go to the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Revdex.com. Still there has been no response from Amy Florist. I followed up my call by re-sending my email and adding everything I had said in my voicemail message as well as their direct quote from their website ("Amy Florist is a family operated flower store. We offer local and nationwide floral delivery services. We are committed to offering only the finest floral arrangements and gifts, backed by service that is friendly and prompt. Because all of our customers are important, our professional staff is dedicated to making your experience a pleasant one. That is why we always go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect. We are committed to providing the best possible service, products, and speedy delivery. We go the extra mile in being able to deliver orders same day if the order is placed by 3pm."). Nothing from Amy Florist. THEIR error has cost me around $80.00-85.00 Canadian (I ordered from [redacted]).Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the amount that they have charged me. At first, I would have been happy if the company replaced the incorrect floral arrangement with the correct one on the day of the delivery (February 17th), but it is too late for that. I only wish to receive a full refund due to their error, their failure to acknowledge and atone for their mistake, and their awful and negligent customer service.

Review: I placed an order on 2-3-14 for a floral arrangement. For unknown reasons I received an e-mail stating order had been changed and would not be delivered and my charge of $56.10 would be refunded. My bank account had the amount taken out. I have yet to be refunded the amount.Have tried calling ###-###-#### and ###-###-####,phone 3 of the business and [redacted]@amyflorist.com,e-mail of the business and have not yet talked to anyone, just get sent to voicemail. My order # is [redacted]. Thank you for your help. [redacted]Desired Settlement: Would like my refund. And to have this complaint for the record of this company.

Review: I ordered flowers to be delivered on a specific date for a friend's birthday (4/20), but they were not delivered. The phone number called was a recording of a voicemail and when I finally did get in contact with someone the man was rude and told me the number I provided was invalid, even though it was the number I was calling him from at that very moment, he also said my billing address and my shipping address was confusing. When I asked if the flowers could be cancelled he said yes, and when I asked why no one tried to contact me through e-mail to inform me that they couldn't get a hold of me he said nobody was going to keep calling me all day long. So I asked if they were just going to get my money and I wasn't going to receive the flowers and no one was going to tell me and he said that the order would have been refunded. I asked when the money would be back on my account and he said I could look for my money on my account in 7-10 business days and then hung up on me.Desired Settlement: The company is a scam. I want my money refunded and the company needs to be looked into for fraud. After being scammed, the reviews I read online have evidence that this company has done this to a lot of people. I should have been smarter in choosing my business choice, but the company shouldn't even exist in the first place.

Review: On July 29, I placed an order with at amyflorist.com for a "48 Ford Pickup Bouquet" to be delivered to my sister-in-law at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC to celebrate the birth of her new baby. I chose this website specifically for the Ford Pickup vase as it has special meaning for our family. My sister-in-law sent a picture to me of what was delivered by Amy Florist and the bouquet was nothing like what I ordered from the website. The flowers came in a blue elephant, which I never would have ordered. I have emailed this company at [email protected], which is the email address given in the order confirmation email I received from them. I have sent an email to this address asking for the correct bouquet to be delivered to my sister-in-law's home OR to send me a refund for the bouquet that was delivered on 8/1, 8/4 and 8/15. I have not received a response. I have also left messages at the following number asking for the same remedy and asking for a return phone call: 1.800.780.0860. I have not received a return phone call. This company did not deliver the product I paid for and has been completely unresponsive. I am very upset with this company. I can privide a copy of receipts, order confirmation, photos, email correspondence sent to company if necessary.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $59.34, which is what I paid for the elephant bouquet (that I did not order). I would like for this amount to be refunded to my credit card.

Review: On Wed., 2-19-14, my wife located Flowers by Amy while searching for a florist that serves Vero Beach, FL. There was a death in our daughter-in-laws family there and we desired to send flowers for the memorial service. Upon review of the site which stated Serving Vero Beach, she selected a Sympathy Vase. She entered all requested information, including our email address, without creating an account. We received no communications whatsoever indicating that the order had been received, was being processed or anything of that nature. She called the next day and was told that the order had been processed and the flowers would be delivered by the time requested. The flowers were delivered well before the time we requested. They were appreciated by the family and they said that they were beautiful. However, when our son sent us a photo of the flowers, we immediately noticed that the only similarity to the flowers we thought we were sending was the color, which was white. The website specified the following for the Sympathy Vase we selected:12 white roses5 white lilies5 white larkspur1 hydrangeaGreeneryVase, approximately 15 W x 24 HThe actual arrangement consisted of MAYBE 4 roses, 2 or 3 white lilies, several carnations, a lot of baby daisies and greeneryhardly worth the $50.95 charged, much less anything remotely resembling the flowers advertised. The substitution policy on their website mentions peak seasons or holidays possibly affecting availability of certain types of flowers in the area but it also states that flowers of equal value would be used. I hardly consider carnations and daisies of equal value to roses and lilies. On the back of the card that was with the flowers were scribbled the words, All White. I have called and only get a message stating that "the mailbox is full". Two emails have been ignored. It wasn't until this happened that we noticed they weren't even located in FL...but in CA, instead.Desired Settlement: A partial refund. I don't mind paying for the services rendered, but I don't appreciate paying for something I didn't receive. We got an arrangement I would value at around $25 but we were charged $50 (after a $20 discount) plus delivery...for a total of $71.22. I believe that a refund of $40 is reasonable, under the circumstances.I will also be writing the offices of the Attorney's General in both Florida and California.

Response:

[redacted]

I need to inform you that I wish to withdraw my complaint against Flowers by Amy. I send an email to [redacted] a week or so ago to this effect, but when I received your email yesterday stating that a second letter has been sent to them, I thought I should call in to set things straight. The lady I talked to this afternoon asked me to put it in writing and email it directly to you.

I have received a full refund of the amount that was charged to me from Flowers by Amy. I suppose I was a little “too quick on the trigger” in filing a complaint, but I only did so after I didn’t hear from them after leaving multiple messages and multiple emails. It wasn’t but maybe a day after I filed the complaint with you that I received an email stating I would receive a refund and a couple of days after that, the money was credited back to my credit card.

Feel free to call me if you need any further clarification. My number is ###-###-####.

Thank you for you efforts on my behalf and I’m sorry for any trouble or inconvenience I might have caused.

Sincerely,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: My husband placed a flower order on 2/9/15 for Valentines day through their website. On 2/13/15 he received an email stating that he would be refunded his money, with no explanation as to why it was being refunded. We have not received the refund, nor the product. Upon looking at other reviews, we found this place to be a scam that has stolen the money of many people. Not only did they ruin the holiday, but now we have had to cancel that debit card.Desired Settlement: We want them not only to refund our money in full including all taxes and charges, but we would also like an apology from this company. My husband works away and he was trying to do something nice for his family on a holiday that he couldn't be home and they ruined it.

Review: I went online to purchase my wife pink long stem roses on 06/11/2014 to be delivered to her work. When I arrived to her work later that day she had received only yellow roses. My wife then contacted Amy Florist aka Flowers by Amy regarding the mistake. After many calls to the company and speaking to 3 different people they agreed to refund the amount of $87.41 to my account if we returned the flowers to the local florist that delivered them. By this time that florist had already been closed, so as soon as that florist opened my wife returned the flowers that where wrong to them and contacted Amy Florist back to let them know it had been done. At that time a lady named Amy told my wife she would send the credit through to the refund department. My wife asked for an email confirmation and they refused to give her one, so she asked for a contact phone number and again refused to give her one and told her its all inter office mail. This refund should have gone through on June 12, 2014 and it is now June 18, 2014 and no refund. We have tried contacting them by email and by phone with no such luck. All we are asking is for our money to be returned since we do not have the product.Desired Settlement: We want a refund for our full amount of $87.41
