Is Freedompop really free? My first month with FP cost me about $30.00 which included the phone and the requirement to sign up for and pay for trial services
Once on the plan the services and other plans could be cancelled and from this point on, the service is free.
My thoughts are; for a truly free service, it should be free from the get-go so the individual can make an informed decision but at this point one must spend money in order to make this decision. Also, when someone would like to cancel a service or plan (there is a difference), it is difficult to find the area to "click on" in order to cancel (the print is so small). I have clicked on a tab to find out more information on a service and was immediately signed up for that service( I didn't read the fine print).
For my short time experience with FP, there is a free service to be had after your initiation. ...Just read the fine print and don't "click" on anything before reading all the fine print.

worst service I ever had . phone did not work . tried to operate on random wifi. says signal weak when I try to use it . returned the device and cannot get a full refund out of this company as was promised.

Am very happy with FreedomPop, phones work great and the price is right. The voice mail and voice clarity add-ons are worth every penny. And customer support is fantastic. I'm so confident in the service, that I use my FreedomPop number as my primary phone number. Even if if you can't get the area code from your region, it's worth it. Just don't forget to enter all 11 digits for your contacts.

Bait and switch. I bought 2 SIM cards and phone. I then signed up for their free service. Just happen to check my transactions on my credit card and what to do find monthly charges for both SIM cards. So much for free service! I've asked for refunds still waiting for that to happen. Beware of this company's shady business practices.

I'm happy with FreedomPop phone and Internet service! Unbeatable price!

I understand that this company is in a 'Beta-phase' but they have sent me a product that does not work and there is no response from nearly an hour going around in circles on the phone to their call center.
I am on my 6th email message with each one explaining a response time of 24-78 hour response time. I am at hour 100 at least and not a single response.
I am pretty shocked. It is almost like a ghost company which I am finding out unfortunately too late as they have had my money.
I look forward to editing this review with a resolution but I am not holding my breath.

this was the worst phone service experience I have ever had.there was a special for a phone for $50 that included free data service indefinitely. so I thought I'd give it a try, however I ended up with 2 phones I was charged 100 dollars. The phones had terrible battery life and some the features and services advertise was a lie.I couldnt call anyone and have a conversation it sound so bad. I call them 10-12 times with confusing and unhelpful responses, outsource to india. I told them cancel everything and I was still charge the next month. I find them to be very deceptive in their practices from my experience and others from what I read. Im out $120+ and these phones are just collecting dust.

So far, I have been pleased with FreedomPop. As I approach the end of my trial period, I am hopeful that nothing will change after this first month. If things continue as well as they have been, I will drop my other provider and go with FreedomPop as my sole provider.

Scam business bai t n switch. Problems every week repeatedly. Everything possible you name it they fail in all categorys from technical to billing. Avoid them like the plague.

Stay away from Freedompop. Shipping takes forever and customer service doesn't exist. Waste of time and money.

One very minor issue was quickly resolved. First, I received a phone call from freedom pop support. A day later, I received an email about theSamie issue, they were following up to make sure the issue was addressed properly.

The service is okay sometimes the calls break up mostly on the other end. The internet connection is not very strong just two bars sometimes three.

Hello I purchased 2 sim kits and received one in the mail it was when you had the same kit with the free power bank I received one said they did not receive the other I have emailed your support group and have not received a response and I'm trying to receive my other SIM kit because the the promotion that I have on them is for unlimited talk textures and internet and my promotion is about to run out and I still haven't received my sim kit

I've tried to call the number on the same package that I received for customer service at it gives me a message that only Premier Freedom Pop customer service customer service and that I was not one of them. so I have reached out to text support the tech support on their FreedomPop I have tried to call and now I'm reaching out your Facebook because I cannot reach anyone to let them know that I have not received my second Sim kit and power bank that I have ordered I've been charged for them but I haven't received them

No my question has not been answered. I ordered two SIM kids I was charged for two sim kit and I only received one sim kit. It was when some kid on this account and one sim kit on another account totaling together to shim kits for this account I did not receive my sim kit but I was charged

After reviewing your account we verified that another agent had refunded the balance charge that you had manually processed so that you can update your billing information and your monthly renewal plan can be charged so that your account can be reactivated. 3 to 5 business days should be allowed to pass before seeing the charge refunded. I understand my issue is that I try to update my card to pay my bills every time I submitted it will not go through I call customer service they told me that's because I'm trying to understand that I'm being charged $27 from only be 19 so I'm desperately trying to get my phone back on because I needed to run a business so if you guys can help me out that would be great

Hello Im not asking someone to call me. I was stating that I called customer service for assistance and Im still not able to pay for my bill. No caches and cookies have nothing to do with it!! When Im trying to make the payment on my account Freedom pop is trying to charge me 27.00 for my bill and the plan I have is 19.99 and I dont have any additional services.

Hi [redacted] We have tried to modify the charge however the system to the $19.99 you mentioned however the system is not letting us bypass this error. Our advise is to got through with this payment and immediately after doing so we will refund the 7.99 that are charges pending for services that would be added in the future. I don't have any charges that will be added in the future. I'm going to keep that I have if by chance you guys cant modify my account to 19.99 plan because I remove that 7.99 service prior to the new billing cycle. So if my account cannot be updated would I be able to switch to the free plans?

By updating your billing information the full charge would be processed and we'd be able to refund the charge promised. We can also downgrade your device to the Free plan is you;d like, however the charge needs to be processed before any actions can be taken.

It's necessary to update your billing information and pay the $27.98 in in order to reactivate it, however since we understand that you are wanting to be under the Free plan, we would refund the charge made immediately after you reactivate. Im on the phone with freedompop now and Ive been on hold for 35 minutes. I waiting for a supervisor and the rep has not come back to the phone in 30 minutes.. I was told I need to pay another 27.98 in order to get my services back on after paying $27.98 on 11-16-2016. I didnt go over on my account. Im absolutely livid with this situation and this company.

Since the first time I signed up for Freedompop, they have come a long way and I am happy with their service. Both Phone and Data service as well as customer service

internet works great but customer service is even better. thank you all.

It works at mostly all the of the spots I frequent. I going to stay with freedom pop with my data plan.

Freedom Pop charged my account for a month before I received a device that did not work. I cancelled the account, returned the device as I'd discussed with Freedome POP, but still had to fight with them to get a refund.

Meanwhile they kept charging me for an account I had cancelled. I had to fight to get them to admit that this was true. Then they refunded 3 not 5 monthly charges.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

At first I did not understand how to use this sim card,but I figured it out.The service sounds good.We even used the international service sounds good.Its a good service for free.I only use my phone to call and text.I would recommend this service for people who dont use there phones alot.
