I am rejecting this response because: I already tried that. They were not able to identify anything in their system.   I would like a new gift card.  I wouldn't have filed this dispute if it could've been resolved that easily. My local store could not help me.

Although I clicked the "I'm not accepting the response made by the business to resolve this complaint" I did so until I have the ability to speak with the district manager. Once I've had the opportunity to speak with him and voice my concerns, I will close this complaint as resolved. Well at least there was a response.... I was given a $20 promotional credit (which I will likely not use as I never intend to shop at Gametop.com again) and a weak excuse as to why my money hasn't been refunded.  They still have my $45.78 and I still have no product.  Until I see that money refunded or the original ordered product in hand I am still very unsatisfied.  Perhaps I can go through Paypal myself to rescind the transaction.Regards,[redacted]

After researching the order, it looks like PayPal is having difficulties accepting the refund because...

the transaction has been closed, due to what seems to be a dispute that was made against the online order. I personally attempted to refund the $9.99 via our PayPal client and it did not authorize. Because this cannot be refunded via PayPal, I'd be more than happy to offer your refund in alternate forms. We could issue this onto a GameStop digital or physical gift card. Digital is e-mailed to you within 48 hours, while physical is mailed within 7-10 business days. The other option that we have available is to mail your refund in the form of a corporate check. This can be either cashed or deposited into a checking account. Dear [redacted] On behalf of GameStop, we apologize for this poor experience in association with our company.    I was able to see that you emailed in just barely outside our 30-day defective guarantee by only a couple days. We would have definitely helped you with these games. I also saw that a few months went by where you did not have a response. For this terrible disservice you received, I have issued a refund of $20 for the Super Mario 3D World (as I didn’t have a replacement at this time) and replacement copies of the other two games. You are more than welcome to keep those defective games or trade them in if you would like, to gain a little something back for your troubles.   Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to post in accordance with PayPal.
