Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information.
On May 16, 2012 the decision was made to place the vehicle out for repossession, as allowed by your contract. At this time the account was over 60 days past due. The “Notice of Right to Redeem or Reinstate” and the “Notice of Our Plan to Sell Property” were mailed to the address of record on July 10, 2012. These notices explained that you would be required to pay the difference between the amount owed to GM Financial and the amount the vehicle sold for, plus expenses if you opted not to redeem/reinstate the vehicle. After the sale of the vehicle at auction, a “Deficiency Calculation” letter was mailed to the address of record on August 27, 2012 to inform you of the remaining balance owed.
GM Financial is required to report truthful and accurate information to the credit bureau reporting agencies. Our research concludes that the account status and payment history of your account have been reported to the credit bureau reporting agencies with accuracy; and as a result, we are unable to make any changes or deletions to the account and credit agencies.
Please be advised GM Financial is required to send a 1099-C to the Internal Revenue Service when an identifiable event occurs, pursuant to the Internal Revenue Code and the attendant Treasury Regulation. GM Financial determined an identifiable event pursuant to the Internal Revenue Service regulation occurred for calendar year 2016 and sent a 1099-C to you as required by the Code and Regulations. Please understand that the debt was not canceled or forgiven rather it was discharged and deemed as a loss to the company. The 1099-C was sent as required by federal law.
Included for you review is a copy of your Account Payment History. If you have any questions or require additional assistance please contact GM Financial at [redacted].
Sincerely,
GM Financial

Dear Ms. [redacted],
Thank you for the additional correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information.
Due to a recent enhancement, an issue was identified causing an additional itemized tax entry. As previously explained, you are only responsible for a payment in the amount of $224.56 due on the 27th of each month. The earn tax amount of $12.71 is included in the total installment payment of $224.56. We received your payment on February 28, 2018 in the amount of $224.56. Your account currently reflects a credit of $12.71.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience while we resolve this issue. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance in regards to this matter please contact GM Financial at ###-###-####.
Sincerely,
GM Financial

I am rejecting this response because:While it is true GM Financial's third party vendor can accomplish what GM says they cannot. However, I am going to have to incur additional fees to be able to do this. This is unacceptable unless GM is willing to reduce my payoff balance by the amount their third party vendor will charge me to do what GM should be responsible for. My contract is with GM and not with their vendor. I am still astounded by this situation. If GM Financial Leasing is unable to transact very common transactions regarding automobile financing in the state of Arizona, then perhaps they should not do business in that state and save all of us consumers these problems.
Regards,

purchase of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala in the amount of $25,967.65 at an interest rate of 15.95%. Within the agreement, you agreed to repay the loan in 72 monthly installments in the amount of $566.31 per month, beginning on July 25, 2009.We empathize with the problems you experienced; however, the responsibility for this contractual obligation remains. I am rejecting this response because it isn't correct. I called AutoVIN, the third-party vehicle inspection service used by GM Financial, today and they said that the vehicle still hasn't been scheduled for inspection because GM Financial hasn't put it in their system. There is a clearly a disconnect somewhere within GM Financial. Is there anything you can do to help us resolve this?Thank you,
