I have no proof for my records that the payment was sent to the correct vendor. I was told by their office over the phone that they could not do that when I made the original request. [redacted]

I need to pass on my account information of my GM account number which is #[redacted]. With a Recent update to add to my claim. We have had the vehicle returned to us. But now they are demanding all the money now to include August 2015 in the month they took the car unlawfully and only returned the vehicle a few days before September 2015. I made a full payment on it Friday 8/28/15 and now they want another this Friday totalling $900.00. We did try to have it refinanced at our credit union to pay it off through GM Financial only too find out that the vehicle is $5000.00 over book value so the credit union cannot even refinance the vehicle for a much better rate and lower payment. We are forced to deal with GM Financial after everything that has happened. We did not go through the credit union to purchase the vehicle as I just recently became a member and It is my fiances credit union also My fiance and I are getting married in September 2015 and we're not married when I purchased the vehicle with my fiance cosigning on the loan.

[redacted]Hi My account number is [redacted] I spoke with [redacted] in the loss department in December of 2016 and was told that everything was paid off and I would probably get a refund of two payments which would have been around 700.00. I received nothing but a bill 8 months later for 840.49. This is wrong. How can a company do this? Please let me know if yo will make this right or do I have to hire an attorney?thank you [redacted]

Dear Ms. [redacted],
Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information.
Our records reflect, a refund has been requested and completed. A check in the amount of $305.76 was issued to the address of record on March 16, 2018. GM Financial is unable to honor your request to refund $87.00 in bank fees as this situation was not caused by a GM Financial error.
Should you have any questions or require additional assistance in regards to this matter please contact GM Financial at [redacted].

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute. Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below. The $370.99 should have been quoted to Progressive Insurance, and I believe that it was reflected in the initial payoff quote to them on August 8th. However, it was later updated and a lesser amount was agreed upon by GM to close out the account which apparently was after my pay payment. I will continue to dispute this until the money is refunded. The full payoff amount should have been charged to Progressive after being notified that the car was a total loss. Furthermore, customer service should have explained to me the process of cancelling through the Western Union System, because not only did I request that payment be stopped, but I was under the notion that once the account was paid in full no further payments would need to be made on the account. It is also ridiculous that I now have to dig through records and come up with sufficient proof to show GM Financial of the over payment. The check that was sent to Capital One to pay off the trade prior to the lease was $215 more than what was owed on that loan. Capital One insists the overpayment would have been sent back to GM Financial. The remaining balance on the car was rolled over into the lease on the new car and subsequently financed and GM Financial told me the overpayment would be applied to my final payment. Now I am being told there is no record of it and to provide proof? Imagine that. I am really wishing I didn't just take out a new lease through GM Financial. I will contact Capital One and obtain documentation showing what they received from GM Financial and what I sent them for final payment. Regards,
[redacted]

I spoke to [redacted] in customer service on Dec 10th and told her my husband had lost his job and we were doing the best we could. I did not have the $400+ that day because I had just paid my mortgage the week before and I could not pay until the 18th when I got my next check. This representative failed to put in the notes on the account that I arranged to pay on FRIDAY the 18th. My car was repossessed from my workplace before I even had a chance to make a payment on FRIDAY the 18th. I called GM financial customer service and was told I had to talk to the reinstatement department. I made multiple phone calls on Friday and left messages with no return calls. I called customer service back and asked if there was a way to reach someone because the phone number they gave only allows you to hold for 45 seconds before dumping you into voicemail even though it says you can hold for a representative. Morris said that is the only phone number for them. He offered to confirm that Reposessors Inc had my vehicle which they did. The information could have been gathered on Friday if someone would have returned my call.I had to continue calling back multiple times on Saturday until Brenda told me she couldn't help me and I'd have to call back Monday. I called back again and she returned my call saying she already told me she couldn't help me. I explained Morris confirmed my car was picked up and Repo Inc had the vehicle. She then finally explained she couldn't help me until she could talk to them and they were closed for the weekend and I'd have to pay storage fees for the vehicle. I explained that if I would have been able to make my payment on Friday as I stated to [redacted], none of this would even be an issue. Brenda transferred me to a customer service manager at my request since she did not have a manager in her dept on Saturday. I explained the situation to the manager who in turn told me she'd email the manager in the reinstatement dept and ask her to call me first thing Monday morning. I took off work on Monday to resolve this issue. I spent the entire day starting at 9am trying to reach a manager from the reinstatement dept. I left multiple messages again since you can't hold for a rep (now I'm up to 30+ phone calls with still no information). They called my home phone when I asked them to call my cell phone. When we finally spoke that evening, I still had to ask for the manager as she had not even tried to call me. I was then told by the manager, [redacted], that the dollar amount was triple what I was told on the 10th. I explained there is no way I would have that kind of money by January 6th which is why I was told the only other option was to sell the vehicle at an auction. The manager stated they had made multiple phone calls to me over the months, but I did not have one phone call on my voicemail or answering machine stating GM Financial was calling and asking me to call them back. If they called, they didn't leave a company name. I don't return calls to people I don't know. I get many survey companies calling as well and do not choose to answer these calls, so there was no way for me to know this was GM Financial calling if they didn't state it in their message.I feel GM financial didn't work with me at all. They make it very difficult for someone to even get ahold of them. Maybe this is by design. The repo company even stated that they had heard GM Financial is an awful company to deal with. Your reputation preceeds you. It's very sad that your company will not work with people that come upon hard times and are still trying to make payments. It would be nice if you'd reconsider your response and actually work with your customers instead of making hard times worse....especially at this time of year. I understand I had a contract but was hoping you had a clause or a management staff with a heart like most others companies do. I have had many others willing to work with us while my husband continues to look for work. We all know that there is very little employment opportunities this time of year. If you don't make this right, I have no choice but to share my story with anyone and everyone I come in contact with. I am not the only one dealing with this same type of issue with your company. If you look online there are many complaints about GM Financial. This should tell you something.

Re: Complaint ID: [redacted] [redacted]
Dear Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information.
Please understand, as...
part of the Lease Assumption process, the lease account must be current throughout the entire process.
As your account was set up on the ACH payment plan, the regular base rent payment in the amount of $242.67 drafted on the date it was due. On July 8, 2016, GM Financial received a payment in the amount of $1,428.86. These funds were applied as follows; $595 for the assumption fee, $543.59 for New York upfront tax, $242.67 for the August 1, 2016 base rent payment, and $47.60 for the assumption fee tax.
GM Financial is unable to refund the July 1, 2016 scheduled base rent payment as the funds were billed and due prior to the completion of the assumption process. Our records reflect that on June 30, 2016, you were informed the assumption process could take up to 30 days to be completed. The Confirmation Letter was sent to you in error, prior to the completion of the assumption. Our records further reflect the assumption process has concluded and you are no longer liable for future payments.
Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to contact Lease Customer Service at 1(800)369-5212.
Sincerely,
GM Financial

Complaint: [redacted]
I want it to be clear that my issue does not have to do with your response regarding "inaccessibility" to my account. My problem with GM Financial is that you accepted and cashed a payout check without bothering to link it to my account. My problem with GM Financial is that when I interacted with staff, I was either told the problem was with my insurance carrier who issued the check (and to contact them about it) or, after it was clear GM Financial was the one who was wrong after I produced the cleared check, to simply wait. I was dismissed at every point. I was not given a time period as to when my account would be corrected. In other words, I don't accept your response regarding "advance notifications regarding inaccessibility" being sent to me. INACCESSIBILITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IMPROPER RECORD KEEPING OF MY ACCOUNT. How dare you even suggest that it was MY oversight that led to this problem. I, and anyone with common sense, knows GM Financial is fully to blame. I checked my account this morning on 1/31/2018. It is showing my "next payment due" date of 2/26/2018 - amount: $271.24. I want this corrected and it must show that there are no additional payment due dates. I will continuously reject responses until this is corrected. My time has been wasted dealing with incompetence, so now I demand that my account reflect correctly.
